Clean the (Edge Detection or Cli) Sensor lens and covers on
the bottom of your robot to remove dust and dirt build-up as
needed.
If the room to be cleaned contains equipment, such as a stove,
fan or humidifier, remove the equipment before operation. There
is a risk of injury, accident or malfunction if the robot comes into
contact with and pushes the equipment.
Do not use the Mopping Pad Plate as a handle to lift or move
the robot.
Be aware that floors may be slippery after wet cleaning with
your robot.
Do not operate the robot in areas with exposed electrical
sockets in the floor.
CAUTION
Do not use this device to pick up sharp objects, glass or
anything that is burning or smoking.
Be aware that the robot moves on its own. Take care when
walking in the area that the robot is operating in to avoid
stepping on it.
If the device passes over a power cord and drags it, there is a
chance an object could be pulled o a table or shelf. Before
using this device, pick up objects like clothing, loose papers, pull
cords for blinds or curtains, power cords and any fragile objects.
Perform the required maintenance as per the owner’s guide to
ensure safe operation of the robot and Charging Station.
If the robot is operating on a floor with stairs, please remove any
clutter from the top step.
GENERAL
WARNING
Your robot comes with a region-approved power supply cord and is
designed to only be plugged into a standard household AC power
socket. Do not use any other power supply cord. For replacement
cords, please contact Customer Care to ensure proper selection of
a country-specific power supply cord.
Do not submerge your robot in water.
Do not open your robot except as instructed to install or replace
the battery or to perform required maintenance. Do not open the
integrated dock-charger known as Home Base or Clean Base. There
are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified
service personnel.
Risk of electric shock, only use indoors in a dry location.
Do not handle your robot or Charging Station with wet hands.
Do not use unauthorised chargers. Use of an unauthorised charger
could cause the battery to generate heat or smoke, catch fire or
explode.
Your robot is not a toy. Small children and pets should be supervised
when your robot is operating. Do not sit or stand on your robot or dock.
Store and operate your robot in room-temperature environments
only.
If the room to be cleaned contains a balcony, a physical barrier
should be used to prevent access to the balcony and ensure safe
operation.

Charging Station is placed at least 4 feet (1.2 metres) away
from stairs.
Do not allow liquids to get on or into the Charging Station.
CAUTION
Only charge the battery that came with your robot. Other types
of batteries may burst, causing injury. Always contact iRobot
Customer Care for the correct replacement of your battery.
NOTICE
The product may not be used with any type of power converter.
Use of power converters will immediately void the warranty.
If you live in an area prone to electrical storms, it is
recommended that you use additional surge protection. Your
Charging Station may be protected with a surge protector in
the event of severe electrical storms.
BATTERY
WARNING
Do not open, crush, heat above 80°C or incinerate. Follow
the owner’s guide instructions for proper use, maintenance,
handling and disposal.
Do not short-circuit the battery by allowing metal objects to
come into contact with battery terminals or immerse in liquid.
Do not subject batteries to mechanical shock.
Lithium ion batteries and products that contain lithium ion
batteries are subject to stringent transport regulations. If you
need to post this product (with the battery included) for service,
travel or any other reason, you must refer to the Troubleshooting
section of your owner’s guide or contact Customer Care for
postage instructions.
NOTICE
Do not allow your robot or Charging Station to become wet.
Do not place anything on top of your robot.
Failure to maintain cleanliness of Charging Contacts could result
in the loss of ability for the robot to charge the battery and the
Contacts to become hot to the touch.
Before running your robot on hard floors, please test your robot
on a small section of the hard floor to ensure that it is compatible.
Using your robot on a hard floor that is not compatible could result
in damage to your floor. Contact your hard floor manufacturer with
questions about compatibility.
Before running your robot on carpets or rugs, ensure that the
carpets or rugs are compatible with vacuums using bars or brushes.
Using your robot on a carpet or rug that is not compatible could
result in damage to your carpet or rug. Contact your carpet or rug
manufacturer with questions about compatibility.
CHARGING STATION
WARNING
If the appliance is not working as it should or it has been dropped,
damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water, return it to a service
centre.
Do not use a Charging Station with a damaged cord or plug. If the
cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced.
Always disconnect your robot from the Charging Station before
cleaning or maintaining it.
Only charge your robot with the power supply provided. The
provided power supply delivers a safety extra-low voltage
corresponding to the input marking on the robot, which is required
to maintain safe operation.
To prevent the risk of your robot falling downstairs, ensure that the

Periodically inspect the battery pack for any sign of damage or
leakage. Do not charge damaged or leaking battery packs. Do not
allow the liquid to come into contact with skin or eyes. If contact
has been made, wash the aected area with copious amounts
of water and seek medical advice. Place the battery in a sealed
plastic bag and recycle or dispose of safely according to local
environmental regulations or return it to your local authorised
iRobot Service Centre for disposal.
Keep the battery pack clean and dry. Wipe the cell or battery
terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.
CAUTION
Battery usage by children should be supervised. Seek medical
advice immediately if a cell or a battery has been swallowed.
NOTICE
The battery pack must be removed from the robot before recycling
or disposal.
For best results, only use the Lithium Ion Battery that comes with the
robot.
Do not use non-rechargeable batteries. Only use the rechargeable
battery supplied with the product. For replacement, purchase
an identical iRobot battery or contact iRobot Customer Care for
alternative battery options.
Always charge and remove the battery from your robot and
accessories before long-term storage.

Positioning the Home BaseTM Charging Station Charging
Place the robot on the Charging Station to activate the
battery.
Note: Your robot comes partially charged but we recommend that
you charge the robot for three (3) hours prior to starting the first
cleaning job.
The robot uses a small amount of power whenever it is on the
Charging Station. You can put the robot in a further-reduced
power state when not in use. For instructions and more details
on this Reduced Power Standby Mode, refer to the FAQ page
on our website.
For long-term storage, turn o the robot by removing it from
the Charging Station and holding down the Clean Button for
three (3) seconds with one Wheel o the ground. Store the
robot in a cool, dry place.

Light Ring Indicator will intermittently
pulse white at the rear.
WARNING: To prevent the risk of your robot falling downstairs, ensure that the
Charging Station is placed at least 1.2 metres (4 feet) away from stairs.

Cleaning
Your robot will automatically explore and clean your home in
neat rows, avoiding obstacles using its front-facing Camera. It
will return to the Charging Station at the end of a cleaning job
and whenever it needs to recharge.
To end a job and send the robot back to its Charging Station,
hold the Clean Button down for between two to five (2-5)
seconds. A blue light ring pattern will indicate that the robot is
searching for the Charging Station.
When your robot detects an especially dirty area, it will engage
Dirt Detect™ mode, moving in a forwards/backwards motion
to clean the area more thoroughly. The Light Ring Indicator will
flash blue.
Vacuuming
To start a vacuum-only cleaning job from your robot, empty
the Tank or detach the Mopping Pad before pressing the Clean
Button.
Your robot is able to recognise and avoid
objects. However, it is still recommended that
you remove excess clutter before cleaning.

Tap to Start/Pause/Resume
Hold for two to five (2-5) seconds
to end a job
Attach the Mopping Pad.
Press the Bin Release Button to
remove the Bin.
Mopping
Your robot is able to both vacuum and mop at the same time.
To start a vacuum and mop cleaning job from your robot, fill the
Tank, attach a Mopping Pad and press the Clean Button.
When your robot encounters carpet during its
cleaning job, it will lift and tuck the Mopping
Pad away.
After completing your vacuum and mop
cleaning job, make sure that you empty the Water
Tank and replace the Mopping Pad.

WARNING: To prevent damaging your robot, do not manually stow the
Mopping Pad Plate on the Pad Shelf.
Place the Bin back in the

Fill the Tank with water and a
compatible cleaning solution.

When your robot senses that its Bin needs to be
emptied, the Light Ring Indicator will illuminate
in a red sweeping motion towards the rear.

Your robot will tell you that something is
wrong by playing an audio alert
and turning the Light Ring Indicator
red. Press the Clean Button or tap
the Bumper for details. Check
the iRobot Home App for
further support.
After 90 minutes of inactivity o the Charging Station, the robot will
automatically end its cleaning job.
To factory reset your robot, remove the Dust Bin and hold the Clean Button
down for seven (7) seconds. A sound will let you know when the factory reset
has been completed. Press down the Clean Button once more to confirm.
Battery safety and postage
For best results, only use the iRobot Lithium Ion Battery that comes with your
robot.
WARNING: Lithium ion batteries and products that contain lithium ion batteries
are subject to stringent transport regulations. If you need to post this product
for service, travel or any other reason, you MUST follow the postage instructions
below.
The battery MUST be turned o before postage.
Turn o the battery by removing the robot from the Charging Station and
holding down the Clean Button for three (3) seconds with one Wheel o the
ground. All indicators will turn o.
Package the robot securely for postage.

Pinch the Brush Frame Release Tab, lift
the Tab and remove any obstructions.
Remove the Brushes from the robot.
Remove the Brush Caps from the ends of
the Brushes. Remove any hair or debris that
has collected beneath the Caps. Reinstall
the Brush Caps.

Cleaning the front Caster Wheel
Pull firmly on the front Wheel module
to remove it from the robot.
Pull firmly on the Wheel to remove
it from its housing (see illustration
below).
Remove any debris from inside the
Wheel cavity.
Reinstall all the parts when finished.
Make sure that the Wheel clicks back
into place.
Important: A front wheel clogged with
hair and debris could result in damage
to your floor. If the Wheel is not spinning
freely after you have cleaned it, please
contact Customer Care.

nettoyage par votre robot.
Ne faites pas fonctionner le robot dans des zones comportant des
prises électriques au sol.
ATTENTION
N’utilisez pas cet appareil pour ramasser des objets tranchants, du
verre ou toute matière en combustion ou qui dégage de la fumée.
N’oubliez pas que le robot se déplace tout seul. Faites attention
lorsque vous marchez dans la zone dans laquelle le robot
fonctionne afin de ne pas trébucher.
Si l’appareil passe au-dessus d’un cordon d’alimentation et
l’entraîne, il risque de faire tomber au passage des objets placés
sur une table ou une étagère à proximité. Avant d’utiliser cet
appareil, ramassez les objets tels que les vêtements, les feuilles
volantes, les cordons des stores ou des rideaux, les cordons
d’alimentation et tout objet fragile.
Assurez l’entretien conformément au guide du propriétaire afin
de garantir un fonctionnement sûr du robot et de la base de
chargement.
Si le robot fonctionne à proximité d’un escalier, veuillez retirer tout
objet encombrant du palier.
GÉNÉRALITÉS
AVERTISSEMENT
Votre robot est fourni avec un câble d’alimentation adapté à votre
zone géographique et peut être branché sur une prise de courant
alternatif domestique standard uniquement. N’utilisez pas d’autre
câble d’alimentation. Si vous avez besoin de remplacer le câble,
contactez le service client afin de choisir un câble conforme aux
normes d’alimentation électrique de votre pays.
Ne plongez pas votre robot dans l’eau.
N’ouvrez pas votre robot, excepté conformément aux instructions,
pour installer ou remplacer la batterie ou assurer l’entretien.
N’ouvrez pas le chargeur intégré appelé HomeBase ou CleanBase.
Aucune pièce interne ne peut être réparée par l’utilisateur. Confiez
l’entretien à un technicien qualifié.
En raison d’un risque d’électrocution, utilisez le produit uniquement à
l’intérieur et dans un environnement sec.
Ne manipulez pas votre robot ni la base de chargement si vous avez
les mains humides.
N’utilisez pas de chargeur non autorisé. Si vous utilisez un chargeur
non autorisé, la batterie pourrait dégager de la chaleur, produire de
la fumée, prendre feu ou exploser.
Votre robot n’est pas un jouet. Il est nécessaire de surveiller les
jeunes enfants et les animaux lorsque le robot est en marche. Ne
vous asseyez pas et ne montez pas sur votre robot ou sur sa base.
Rangez et utilisez votre robot à température ambiante uniquement.

sujet de sa compatibilité.
Avant de passer votre robot sur des tapis ou de la moquette,
assurez-vous qu’ils sont compatibles avec les aspirateurs utilisant
des barres ou des brosses. L’utilisation de votre robot sur des tapis ou
une moquette non compatible pourrait les endommager. Contactez
le fabricant de vos tapis et moquettes si vous avez des questions au
sujet de leur compatibilité.
BASE DE CHARGEMENT
AVERTISSEMENT
Si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas comme il le devrait, s’il est tombé,
endommagé, s’il est resté dehors ou qu’il est tombé dans l’eau,
retournez-le à un centre de réparation.
N’utilisez pas la base de chargement avec une fiche ou un câble
endommagé. S’ils sont endommagés, le câble ou la fiche doit être
remplacé(e).
Déconnectez toujours votre robot de la base de chargement avant
de le nettoyer ou de l’entretenir.
Chargez votre robot uniquement à l’aide de la source d’alimentation
fournie. La source d’alimentation fournie délivre une très basse
tension de sécurité, correspondant à la tension d'entrée nécessaire
pour le robot pour assurer un fonctionnement sécurisé.
Pour éviter que votre robot ne tombe dans les escaliers, assurez-vous
que la base de chargement est placée à au moins 1,20m des
escaliers.
Ne laissez pas de produits liquides entrer en contact avec la base
de chargement.
ATTENTION
Ne chargez que la batterie fournie avec votre robot. Les autres
types de batteries peuvent exploser et provoquer des blessures.
Contactez toujours le service client iRobot pour savoir comment
remplacer votre batterie de façon adéquate.
REMARQUE
Le produit ne peut pas être utilisé avec n’importe quel type de
convertisseur de puissance. L’utilisation d’un tel appareil annule
immédiatement la garantie.
Si vous vivez dans une région sujette à de violents orages, nous vous
recommandons d’utiliser des systèmes spéciaux de protection contre
les surtensions. En cas d’orage violent, vous pouvez protéger la base
de chargement à l’aide d’un parasurtenseur.
BATTERIE
AVERTISSEMENT
N’ouvrez, n’écrasez, ne chauez pas la batterie à plus de 80°C,
et ne la brûlez pas. Suivez les instructions du guide du propriétaire
afin d’utiliser, d’entretenir, de manipuler et de jeter la batterie de
manière appropriée.
Ne court-circuitez pas la batterie en mettant des objets
métalliques en contact avec les bornes de la batterie ou en
l’immergeant dans un liquide. Ne soumettez pas les batteries à
des chocs mécaniques.
Les batteries au lithium-ion et les produits contenant ce type de
batterie sont soumis à des règles de transport très strictes. Si vous
avez besoin d’expédier votre produit (comprenant sa batterie)
à des fins de réparation, de voyage ou pour toute autre raison,
vous devez vous reporter à la section Dépannage du guide du

qu’utilisateur final, il vous incombe de jeter la batterie en fin de vie

santé humaine et de l’environnement. Pour plus d’informations,
contactez votre point de recyclage local ou bien le revendeur
auprès duquel vous avez acheté le produit à l’origine. Jeter les
batteries en fin de vie peut avoir des eets négatifs potentiels sur
l’environnement et la santé humaine en raison des substances
présentes dans les batteries et les accumulateurs.

La batterie doit rester propre et sèche. Si elles sont encrassées,
nettoyez les bornes de la pile ou de la batterie à l’aide d’un chion
propre et sec.
ATTENTION
Il est nécessaire de surveiller les enfants lorsqu’ils utilisent la batterie.
Veuillez demander immédiatement l’avis de votre médecin si une pile
ou une batterie a été ingérée.
REMARQUE
La batterie doit être retirée du robot avant d’être recyclée ou jetée.
Pour des résultats optimaux, utilisez uniquement la batterie au
lithium-ion iRobot fournie avec votre robot.
N’utilisez pas de batteries non rechargeables. Utilisez uniquement
la batterie rechargeable fournie avec le produit. Si vous devez la
remplacer, achetez une batterie identique ou contactez le service
client d’iRobot pour connaître les solutions alternatives.
Avant de ranger votre robot pour une longue durée, veillez toujours à
charger et retirer sa batterie, et à retirer les accessoires.
