Important safeguards
Using the device at temperature below -10º may cause the breakage of the device. BEFORE USING PLEASE
HEAT UP THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT TO THE RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE!
Read carefully through this manual to familiarize yourself with this high-quality sound system.
Disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal while mounting and connecting the unit.
When replacing the fuse, be sure to use one with an identical amperage rating. Using a fuse with a higher
amperage rating may cause serious damage to the unit.
DO NOT attempt to disassemble the unit. Laser beams from the optical pickup are dangerous to the eyes.
Make sure that pins or other foreign objects do not get inside the unit; they may cause malfunctions, or create
safety hazards such as electrical shock or laser beam exposure.
If you have parked the car for a long time in hot or cold weather, wait until the temperature in the car becomes
normal before operating the unit.
DO NOT open covers and do not repair yourself. Consult the dealer or an experienced technician for help.
Make sure you disconnect the power supply and aerial if you will not be using the system for a long period or
during a thunderstorm.
Make sure you disconnect the power supply if the system appears to be working incorrectly, is making an
unusual sound, has a strange smell, has smoke emitting from it or liquids have got inside it. Have a qualified
technician check the system.
The unit is designed for negative terminal of the battery, which is connected to the vehicle metal. Please confirm
it before installation.
Do not allow the speaker wires to be shorted together when the unit is switched on. Otherwise it may overload or
burn out the power amplifier.
Do not install the detachable panel before connecting the wire.

Installation/Connections
First complete the electrical connections, and then check them for correctness.
Installation way
It is an anti-theft installation way. The chassis wear a metal sliding housing. Please have the wiring connection of the
power supply, speakers and antenna as for the requirement of the manual, and then install the metal sliding housing
into the car according to the diagram.

Panel controls
Front panel
1. OPEN BUTTON.
Press it to flip down the front panel and you can insert the disc into the compartment or press the EJ button
to eject the disc from the disc compartment.
2. IR REMOTE SENSOR
3. MD/TA BUTTON.
Press it to select RADIO or CD mode.
4. LCD (LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY).

Press any button except the EJECT and OPEN button to turn on the unit, press PWR button hold for more
than 0.5 seconds to turn off the unit. (After switching on the ACC POWER first time for 3 seconds, can only
turn on the unit).

Press it repeatedly to select your desired radio band during RADIO mode.
9. AF (Alternative Frequencies) button.

12. PRESET STATION [1-6] AND RPT, RDM BUTTONS.

Press the button to eliminate or resume the sound immediately. To resume the sound immediately, can also
press MD/TA, BAND, +, -, SEL button.
14. SEL BUTTON (V-SEL/ MENU/ ENTER); +/- BUTTON (VOLUME-UP/DOWN, MENU-UP/DOWN).

In spite of having any kinds of speaker system, must use 4 ohms impedance of speaker to reduce the distortion
during high volume level.

Replace Battery in Remote Controller:
1. Remove the battery holder as the direction indicated by the arrow.
2. Replace the old battery by a new battery with (+) polarity forward.
3. Insert the battery holder to the original position in remote controller.
Note about the Battery of Remote Controller:
1. Improper use of battery may cause overheating or explosion, so that result injury or fire.
2. Battery leakage may cause damage to the remote controller (Battery life: 6 months with normal use in normal
room temperature).
3. Do not short the battery.
4. Do not throw the battery into the fire.
5. To avoid the risk of accident, keep the battery out of reach of children.

Glossary
PBC (PlayBack Control)
PlayBack Control is a menu recorded on the disc with SVCD or VCD2.0 format. For the discs contained PBC, it can
playback interactive software with the menu displayed on TV. And if the disc contains still images, it can playback
high definition of still image.
Title
The title is the important part of DVD disc. The memory volume of the disc is rather big, that makes possible to
record several films on one disc. For example, if a disc contains three films, they may be divided into Title 1, Title 2
and Title 3. You can easy use the functions of looking-for.
Chapter
A title can be divided into several blocks, so that every block can be operated as a unit, the unit is called chapter. The
chapter contains a unit at least.
Track
It is the biggest component of VCD. Generally, every song of karaoke disc is a track.

Compatible discs
DVD Video
DVD disc include video and audio data. The data can contained by the 12 cm diameter of DVD disc is 7 times of one
can contained by the common CD-R disc. Its maximum continuous playback time can be up to 2 hours (one of
double-sided disc can be up to 4 hours). DVD disc sort as 4 kinds of ones: single-layer and double-layers and
single-sided, single layer and double-sided, double-layers and double-sided disc.
SVCD
Super VCD disc adopt MPEG-II compression way. It can provide better quality of video than VCD disc. And it can
record 2 stereo audio track. Super VCD disc can also supports wide screen.
VCD2.0
Compare with VCD1.1 disc, VCD2.0 disc has a playback list. Generally, Karaoke disc with VCD2.0 format has a
PBC menu.
VCD1.1
Picture CD disc its size is same as audio CD disc include audio and video data. The maximum playback time of the
standard 12 cm of disc with VCD1.1 is 74 minutes.
DVCD
Compatible with DVCD disc. DVCD disc is high density of VCD disc. Compared with VCD disc, a DVCD disc can
contain more data.
CD-DA
Compatible with CD-DA disc. CD-DA disc include audio data. The maximum playback time of the standard 12 cm
of CD-DA disc is 74 minutes.
MP3/WMA/JPEG
Compatible with CD-R/CD-RW/CD-ROM discs contained files with MP3/WMA/JPG format. Also supports JPG
pictures playback with MP3 tracks as background music, provides fine video and audio effect.

Picture-CD
Compatible with Picture-CD disc. Do not need setting the additional software. Picture-CD is a disc format that stores
photo with electronic file format developed by Kodak company.
Photo-CD
Compatible with Photo-CD disc. Do not need setting the additional soft ware. Photo-CD is a disc format that stores
photo with electronic file format developed by Konica company.
CD-R/CD-RW
Compatible with CD-R/CD-RW disc with ISO9660 specification include the format of MP3, JPG, JPEG, Ac3,
PCM, MPG, MPE, WAV, WMA.
DVD+/-R
Compatible with DVD+/-R disc with UDF specification include the format of MP3, JPG, JPEG, Ac3, PCM, MPG,
MPE, WAV, WMA.

Function of controls
1. POWER BUTTON
Press the PWR button on the front panel or POWER button on the remote controller to turn on the unit. Press it again
to turn the unit off. When the power is on press the POWER button long to turn the unit off fully.
2. MODE/TA BUTTON
Press the MD/TA button on the front panel or MODE button on the remote controller to select DISC or RADIO
mode.
3. AUDIO MODE AND LEVEL BUTTONS
Press the VOL+ or VOL- button to adjust the volume level.
Press the SEL button on the front panel or the remote controller to select the audio mode such as VOL (volume),
BAS (bass), TRE (treble), BAL (balance) and FAD (fader), then press the VOL+ or VOL- button on the front panel
or the remote controller to adjust the settings for each mode.
If turning off the power all the settings of each mode will be saved.
Press the SEL button and hold it for 2 seconds to display the current state and to change the settings of each audio
mode, then press the VOL+ or VOL- button to set a new current state of the mode.
If turning off the ACC power all the settings will become as they were set on the plant as current.
4. MUTE BUTTON
Press the MU button on the front panel or the remote controller to turn off the sound immediately and the audio mute
indicator on the LCD will flash, then press it again to revert to the normal playback.

5. CLOCK DISPLAY AND ADJUSTMENT BUTTONS
Press CLK button on the front panel or the remote controller to display time on LCD. Press CLK button and hold it
for about 2 seconds to flash HOUR, then press VOL+ or VOL- button on the front panel or the remote controller to
set HOUR; then press SEL button to flash MINUTE, then press VOL+ or VOL- button to set MINUTE. After you
have set the time press CLK button to memorize it.
6. DSP BUTTON
Press DSP button on the remote controller to select the current music equalizer modes: FLAT, VOCAL, POP, and
ROCK. The sound effect will be changing.
7. OPEN BUTTON
Press the OPEN button on the front panel to flip down the front panel from the unit to take on/off the disc or remove
away the front panel, then you can insert the disc into the disc compartment or press the EJ button on the back of the
front panel to eject the disc.

Press LOUD button on the remote control to change bass level when bass is not enough.

Radio Operation
1. PRESET STATION [1-6] BUTTONS
A). To memorize the current frequency, press any one of the six preset buttons (1-6) on the front panel or on the
remote controller and hold it for more than 2 seconds.
B). To recall the preset memory, press one of the preset buttons [1-6].
2. A.P BUTTON
When shortly pressing the A.P button on the front panel or the A/P button on the remote controller, the tuner begins
searching for preset radio stations. When the radio station with strong signal is found, the tuner stops searching and
holds on preset station for a few seconds, and then continues searching. Each FM band: FM 1, FM 2 and FM 3, - is
checked once a time.
When long pressing the A.P or A/P button (more than 1 second), the tuner begins searching from the current
frequency and checks the signal strength level until one cycle search is finished. And then the six strongest stations
are saved at the corresponding number. The auto search operation may be applied in the each band. When the AS
operation is finished, the tuner executes scanning preset radio stations.
3. BAND BUTTON
In RADIO mode, press BAND button on the remote controller or on the front panel several times to select desired
radio band and the band name will be displayed on LCD.
4. TUNE/SEEK UP/DOWN BUTTONS
Press UP or DN button on the remote controller or >>/<< button on the front panel to set up the desired radio station
manually. Press them and hold for more than 2 seconds to start automatically tuning for searching the stronger
stations.

5. PTY (PROGRAM TYPE) BUTTON
You can start searching for the radio stations according to their types.
Press it shortly to display PTY and flash NEWS. Press and hold it to display NEWS and then press VOL+ or VOL-
button to select one of PTY programs:
NEWS AFFAIRS INFO SPORT EDUCATE DRAMA CULTURE SCIENCE VARIED - POP M -
ROCK M - EASY M - LIGHT M CLASSICS - OTHER M WEATHER FINANCE CHILDREN - SOCIAL
RELIGION - PHONE IN TRAVEL LEISURE JAZZ COUNTRY - NATION M OLDIES - FOLK M
DOCUMENT - TEST.
After the selecting one of PTY programs, press PTY button to start searching for the station of the desired PTY
program type.
6. AF Mode
When pressed shortly, AF mode is selected and sign of AF is displayed on LCD.
The indicator is switched off: AF mode is turned off.
The indicator is switched on: AF mode is turned on and RDS information can be received.
The indicator is flashing: AF mode is switched on, but RDS information cannot be received.
When AF mode is switched on, the tuner checks the signal strength of AF during all the time. The time of
checking of each AF depends on the signal strength of current station; this time may range from a few minutes
for strong signal stations to a few seconds for weak signal stations. Every time when a new AF is stronger than
the current one, tuner switches on to new frequency for very short time, and the sign NEW FREQUENCY is
displayed for 1-2 seconds. While searching with the help of AF mode the sound may be cut off by a new program
(If the indicator AF is flashing on LCD the search of radio stations with RDS is processing). The indicators AF
and TP flashing means the start of searching traffic announcements only.
During FM mode, when AF is on, SEEK, SCAN, AUTO-MEMORY functions can only receive and save RDS
program.

When pressed long, AF mode is converted to REGION ON/OFF mode.
REGION ON MODE:
AF mode or PI SEEK is used to the station which have PI codes same as the current station (PI CODE is checked
when AF search is in process).
REGION OFF MODE:
The regional code in the format of PI code is ignored when AF mode or PI SEEK are in process (PI CODE and
covering area are not checked during AF searching).
7. TA Mode
When the TA button is pressed, TA mode is turned on/off. When TA mode is on (TA is displayed on LCD), it will
begin to seek TA station and TP will flash on LCD.
When traffic announcement is broadcasted:
- if the player is in DISC mode, it will switch to radio mode temporarily.
- It is temporarily switched over to an EON linked station when EON detects a traffic announcement on the
other program, TA, TP are displayed on LCD.
*TA interruption function:
The mode of traffic announcement can be cancelled by pressing and holding on TA button on front panel or pressing
TA button on remote controller.
*Press TA button on remote controller and hold it to turn on/off EON function.
When TA mode is on, SEEK, SCAN, AUTO MEMORY functions can be fulfilled only when traffic program
identification code is received.
Region code
In radio mode, press POWER button to turn off the audio player, then press PLAY/PAUSE button hold for about 2
seconds to select the regional frequency of EUROPE , then press UP or DOWN button shortly and repeatedly to
select TAIWAN, RUSSIA and USA.
