NOTE
The motors have a built-in, self resetting thermal cut-out for safety reasons.
Prolonged use or over loading the blind could trigger the cut-out. If this
happens allow the motor to cool for a few minutes.
WARNING! Risk of injury
Disconnect the power supply before you begin and ensure that it can not be
reconnected until installation has been completed.
NOTICE! Risk of damage
Ensure cables are not damaged during installation.
Ensure that a 12 V or 24 V power supply line is available for the drive (rated

Skyscreen Powered Operation
7.2 Frame fitting
A
Proceed as shown (fig. 4, page 4):
Align the blind with the window cut-out and mark where the holes are to be
drilled for the frame.
Fix the frame with the screws to the ceiling.
I
If necessary, you can remove a panel as shown (fig. 9, page 7 and fig. 0,
page 7 for installations without headlining or fig. a, page 8 for installations
with headlining).
7.3 Cover fitting (optional)
Proceed as shown (fig. 5, page 5).
8Operation
A
I
NOTICE! Risk of damage
Use packing material where required (fig. 3, page 4). The side tracks must
be perpendicular to the head rail.
Use screws and plugs suitable for the wall construction to fix the frame to
the recess. Pre-drill at the marked points.
Ensure not to drill through the wall.
NOTE
Check whether the moving rail is square and moves freely. If the moving rail is
not square it can be adjusted as shown (fig. 9, page 7 to fig. b, page 8).
NOTICE! Risk of damage while driving
Only for boats and yachts: If the blind is fitted beneath an open sunroof,
then the blind should be stowed when driving at more than 10 knots or with a
sea state of more than moderate, because this can damage the blind. Parts that
come loose may injure people in the vicinity.
NOTE
When operating the blind using switches or an automation
system: If the movement direction is reversed too quickly, the motor might
not detect the polarity change and will just stop. To prevent this, the power
must be off for at least 0.5 seconds before the movement direction is
reversed.
When the motor is stopped the power consumption falls to 8.5 mA. After
approximately 4 minutes the motor automatically switches off.
Skyscreen_IOM_EMEA16.book Seite 17 Freitag, 16. Oktober 2020 8:19 08
Cleaning and maintenance Skyscreen Powered
18
Only if operated by switches: When operating the blind with switches
each switch operates each blind independently.
Only if operated with the AP Remote control: When operating the blind
with the AP Remote control each blind is independently operated via sepa-
rate channels on the remote control.
Each blind can be stopped in any position.
When operating the blind with an automation system, the operation is
dependent on the programming of the control interface.
The blind automatically stops
when the blind is fully deployed,
when the blind is fully stowed
if the blind hits an obstruction (including the other moving rail)
9 Cleaning and maintenance
A
I
Removing dust
Dust the blind regularly with a dust rag, dust glove or a vacuum cleaner with
a brush attachment. Blow excess dust off of your fabric using a can of com-
pressed air or a hair dryer on a cool setting.
Fully deploy the blind to clean the fabric.
Fully stow the blind to clean around the frame.
Spot cleaning
Spot-clean with a soft white cloth, moistened with warm water. Add a mild
detergent if needed (non-abrasive and with no additives).
Blot gently to avoid creasing or damaging the fabric. Always leave the blind
deployed to dry thoroughly.
NOTICE! Risk of damage
Do not grease, oil or lubricate the blind. Lubricants will damage the fabric.
Be careful not to crease the fabric when using the brush attachment of a
vacuum cleaner.
Rubbing can damage fabrics. Do not scrub.
Spot-cleaning may result in cleaner areas than the surrounding.
Do not soak the blinds.
The manufacturer recommends testing any cleaning agents on a hidden
area of the blind first.
NOTE Cleaning by professional cleaning personnel
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for improper cleaning methods or
agents used by professional cleaning personnel. In this case the responsibility
lies with the cleaning company.

Skyscreen Powered Troubleshooting
Removing bugs
To prevent damage to delicate fabrics, do not use any type of stick, wand or
handle to push out anything caught in your blinds. We recommend gently
blowing out using either a can of compressed air or a hair dryer on a cool
setting.
The blind panels can be removed for cleaning.
Cleaning windows
Always ensure your blinds are fully stowed before cleaning windows. This will
prevent spoiling the blind fabric by splatter or sprays of water or detergent.
Panels can be unclipped and removed for window cleaning (fig. 9, page 7
and fig. 0, page 7 for installations without headlining or fig. a, page 8 for
installations with headlining).
Replacing the fabric panel
Fabrics can be removed for cleaning or replacement (fig. 9, page 7 and
fig. 0, page 7 for installations without headlining or fig. a, page 8 for
installations with headlining).
Due to batch variation, replacement fabric colours may vary slightly in shade.
10 Troubleshooting
Fault Solution
Moving rail not straight Disconnect the first fabric panel at the
opposite end to the crooked moving
rail (fig. 9, page 7 and fig. 0, page 7
for installations without headlining or
fig. a, page 8 for installations with
headlining).
Adjust the coupling (fig. b, page 8).
Moving rail jams. Check the side tracks for debris or
obstructions.
Motor not working Check if wiring for voltage to the motor
is correct.
If power supply is checked and the
motor is still faulty contact your
distributor.
If using the AP Remote control refer to
the AP Remote control manual.
Motor running slow or fast Check for correct supply voltage.
