Place left and right sides platform around the burner
as shown (note pilot light cutout). The platform rests
in place and is not screwed down. The openings go
underside.

Materials Required
1800BLK Birch Log Kit, which contains:
• 12 Birch logs
• 1 bag of grey splinters
• 1 bag of mixed grey embers
• 2-piece metal platform
Note each log is stamped with its number only on the
bottom to identify it.

Installation—Logs
The following instructions show the best positions for
the logs and other pieces to obtain the best fi re.
Note that logs that are placed across the burner are
above the burner and do not touch it.
1. Place log L2 with the pin in the hole behind the
burner as shown.
2. Place log L1 from top of L2, across the burner to the
front of the media tray.
3. Place log L5 with the pin in the hole behind the
burner as shown, and the left end just behind the
pilot shield.

4. Place log L4 from the top of L5, across the burner, to
the front of the media tray.
5. Place log L3 on top of L4 and rest it on the front of
the media tray.
6. Place log L8 with the pin in the hole behind the
burner as shown.

10. Place log L11 on the rear media tray as shown.
11. Place log L10 on top of L11, across the burner, and
resting on the front of the media tray.
12. Place log L12 on the front of the media tray as shown.

7. Place log L7 on top of L8, across the burner, and
resting on the front of the media tray.
8. Place log L6 on top of L7 and rest it on the front of
the media tray.
9. Place log L9 on the rear media tray as shown. The
log can rest just over the edge of the burner.

13. Place embers and splinters by hand (do not pour
embers as the bag contains dust particles that could
block the burner ports) and cover the burner. The
embers can be placed onto the front media tray as
well if preferred.

Installation—plateforme
Placez les deux pièces de la plateforme autour du
brûleur tel qu’indiqué. La pièces de gauche est coupée
pour la veilleuse. Les ouvertures de la plateforme vont
en-dessous.

• 1 sac d’éclisses grises
• 1 sac de braises grises mélangées
• Plateformes de métal en 2 pièces
Notez que chaque bûche est étampée en dessous avec
un numéro pour l’identifi er.
Installation—bûches
Les directives données dans les pages qui suivent in-
diquent la meilleure façon de placer les bûches et autres
pièces de l’ensemble pour obtenir un feu optimal.
Notez que les bûches en travers du brûleur ne le touche
pas mais le surplombe.
1. Placez la bûche L2 insérant sa cheville dans le trou
derrière le brûleur tel qu’indiqué.
2. Placez L1 sur L2 et reposez son autre bout sur la
plateforme devant le brûleur tel qu’indiqué.
3. Placez L5 derrière le brûleur, son bout étroit der-
rière la veilleuse, insérant sa cheville dans le trou de
la plateforme tel qu’indiqué.
4. Placez L4 sur L5 et son autre bout sur la plateforme
devant le brûleur tel qu’indiqué.
5. Placez L3 sur L4, devant le brûleur, sa fourche re-
posant sur la plateforme.
6. Placez L8 à côté de L5 derrière le brûleur insérant sa
cheville dans le trou de la plateforme tel qu’indiqué.

10. Placez L11 sur la plateforme à l’angle du brûleur tel
qu’indiqué.
11. Placez L10 sur L11 avec son autre bout reposant sur
la plateforme devant le brûleur.
12. Placez L12 devant L11 sur la plateforme tel
qu’indiqué.
7. Placez L7 sur L8 avec son autre bout reposant sur la
plateforme devant le brûleur.
8. Placez L7 sur L7 devant le brûleur et reposez sont
autre bout sur la plateforme tel qu’indiqué.
9. Placez L9 derrière le brûleur tel qu’indiqué. La bûche
peut reposer juste sur le rebord du brûleur.

13. Placez des braises et éclisses à la main sur le brûleur
le couvrant d’une seule couche. NE PAS verser à
partir du sac pour éviter que la poussière ne blo-
que les orifi ces sur le brûleur. Des braises peuvent
également être placées sur la plateforme autour du
brûleur, entre les bûches si désiré.
