mowers, basic safety precautions should always be

followed to reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock, and

WALK‑BEHIND MOWERS



DANGER: This mower is capable of amputating

hands and feet and throwing objects. Failure to

observe the following safety instructions could result

in serious injury ordeath.

General Operation

1 . Read, understand, and follow all instructions on the

mower and in the instruction manual beforestarting.

2 . Do not put hands or feet near or under the mower. Keep

clear of the discharge opening at alltimes.

3 . Only allow responsible adults, who are familiar with the

instructions, to operate thismower.

4 . Clear the area where the mower is to be used of objects

such as rocks, sticks, wire, toys, bones, etc., which could

be thrown by the blade. Objects struck by the blade can

cause severe injury to persons. Stay behind the handle

when the motor isrunning.

5 . Be sure the area surrounding the mower is clear of

bystanders before operating. All bystanders and pets

should be kept at a safe distance. Stop the mower if

anyone enters the area surrounding themower.

6 . Do not operate mower barefooted or while wearing

sandals. Always wear substantialfootwear.

7 . Do not pull mower backward unless absolutely necessary.

Always look down and behind before and while

movingbackward.

8 . Never direct discharged material toward anyone. Avoid

discharging material against a wall or obstruction.

Material may ricochet back toward the operator. Release

bail handle to turn mower off and stop the blade when

crossing gravelsurfaces.

9 . Do not operate mower without the entire grass catcher,

discharge guard, rear guard, or other safety protective

devices in place and working. Periodically check all guards

and safety protective devices to ensure they are in good

working order and will operate properly and perform their

intended function. Replace a damaged latch, guard or

other safety device before furtheruse.

10 . Never leave a running mowerunattended.

11 . Always release the bail handle to stop the motor and wait

until the blade comes to a complete stop and remove the

safety key and battery pack before cleaning the mower,

removing the grass catcher, un-clogging the discharge

guard, when leaving the mower, or before making any

adjustments, repairs orinspections.

12 . Operate mower only in daylight or good artificial light

when objects in the path of the blade are clearly visible

from the operating area of themower.

13 . Do not operate mower while under the influence of

alcohol or drugs, or when you are tired or ill. Always stay

alert, watch what you are doing, and use commonsense.

14 . Avoid dangerous environments. Never operate mower in

damp or wet grass, never use mower in the rain. Always

be sure of your footing; walk; neverrun.

15 . Disengage the drive system, if so equipped, before starting

themotor.

16 . If the mower should start to vibrate abnormally, release

the bail handle, wait for the blade to stop and remove

the safety key and battery pack, then check for the cause

immediately. Vibration is generally a warning oftrouble.

17 . Always wear proper eye and respiratory protection when

operating themower.

18 . The use of any accessory or attachment not recommended

for use with this mower could be hazardous. Only use

accessories approved by

DeWALT

19 . Never overreach while operating the mower. Always be

sure to keep proper footing and balance at all times while

operating themower.

Slope Operation

Slopes are a major factor related to slip and fall accidents,

which can result in severe injury. Operation on all slopes

requires extra caution. If you feel uneasy on a slope, do not

mowit.

1 . Mow across the face of slopes; never up and down.

Exercise extreme caution when changing direction

onslopes.

2 . Watch for holes, ruts, bumps, rocks, or other hidden

objects. Uneven terrain could cause a slip and fall

accident. Tall grass can hideobstacles.

3 . Do not mow on wet grass or excessively steep slopes. Poor

footing could cause a slip and fallaccident.

4 . Do not mow near drop-offs, ditches, or embankments.

You could lose your footing orbalance.

Children

1 . Tragic accidents can occur if the operator is not alert to

the presence of children. Children are often attracted to

the mower and the mowing activity. Never assume that

children will remain where you last sawthem.

2 . Keep children out of the mowing area and under

the watchful care of a responsible adult other than

theoperator.

3 . Be alert and turn mower off if a child enters thearea.

4 . Never allow children to operate themower.

5 . Use extra care when approaching blind corners, shrubs,

trees, or other objects that may block your view of a child

General Service

1 . Never operate mower in a closedarea.

2 . Keep all nuts and bolts tight to be sure the equipment is in

safe workingcondition.

3 . Never tamper with safety devices. Check their proper

operationregularly.

4 . Keep mower free of grass, leaves, or other debris build-up.

Allow mower to cool beforestoring.

5 . If you strike a foreign object, release bail handle to turn

mower off, wait for the blade to stop and remove the

safety key and battery pack, then inspect the mower.

Repair, any damage, before starting and operating

themower.

6 . Never make any adjustments or repairs with the motor

running or while the safety key and battery pack are in

themower.

7 . Always remove safety key and battery pack before

adjusting, cleaning, repairing, inspecting, transporting,

storing or leaving themower.

8 . Under normal usage, the grass catcher components are

subject to deterioration and wear. Before each use of

the mower, check the grass catcher components and

the discharge guard and when necessary replace with

DeWALT

recommended partsonly.

9 . Mower blades are sharp. Wrap the blade or wear gloves,

and use extra caution when servicingthem.

10 . Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels,

asnecessary.

The following are explanations of important safety

hazard pictorials on themower.

To avoid the risk of serious injury do not

mow up and down slopes. Always mow

acrossslopes.

To avoid the risk of injury to bystanders keep

all persons and pets at a safe distance from the

mower whileoperating.

Rotating blades can cause serious injury.

Keep hands and feet clear of mower deck and

discharge opening at all times. Always be

sure blade has stopped (wait for the blade to

stop rotating (approximately 3 seconds) after

releasing bail handle and removing the safety

key and battey pack) before removing and

replacing grass catcher, cleaning, servicing,

transporting or lifting themower.

Objects struck by mower blade can cause

serious injury. Stay behind the handle when the

motor is running. Always ensure persons and

pets are clear of the discharge from the mower

while operating. Always inspect mowing area

before mowing and remove objects that could

be thrown by blade. Release bail handle to

turn mower off and wait for the blade to stop

rotating (approximately 3 seconds) before

crossing walk, roads, patio and graveldrives.

and perform its intended function. Check for alignment

of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of

parts, mounting, and any other conditions that may affect

their operation. A guard or other part that is damaged

should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized

service center unless otherwise indicated elsewhere in

thismanual.

BATTERY AND CHARGERS

The battery pack is not fully charged out of the carton.

Before using the battery pack and charger, read the

safety instructions below and then follow charging

proceduresoutlined. When ordering replacement battery

pack, be sure to include the catalog number andvoltage.

Your tool uses a

DeWALT

charger. Be sure to read all safety

instructions before using your charger. Consult the chart

at the end of this manual for compatibility of chargers and

batterypack.

Important Safety Instructions for All

Battery Packs



WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all

instructions for the battery pack, charger and

power tool. Failure to follow the warnings and

instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/

or seriousinjury.

• Do not charge or use the battery pack in explosive

atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable

liquids, gases or dust. Inserting or removing the battery

pack from the charger may ignite the dust orfumes.

• NEVER force the battery pack into the charger. DO

NOT modify the battery pack in any way to fit into

a non-compatible charger as battery pack may

rupture causing serious personal injury. Consult

the chart at the end of this manual for compatibility of

batteries andchargers.

• Charge the battery packs only in designated

DeWALT

chargers.

• DO NOT splash or immerse in water or otherliquids.

• Do not store or use the tool and battery pack in

locations where the temperature may reach or

exceed 104°F (40°C) (such as outside sheds or metal

buildings in summer). For best life store battery packs in

a cool, drylocation.

NOTE: Do not store the battery packs in a tool with

the trigger switch locked on. Never tape the trigger

switch in the ONposition.

• Do not incinerate the battery pack even if it is

severely damaged or is completely worn out. The

battery pack can explode in a fire. Toxic fumes and

materials are created when lithium ion battery packs

areburned.

• If battery contents come into contact with the skin,

immediately wash area with mild soap and water. If

battery liquid gets into the eye, rinse water over the open

eye for 15 minutes or until irritation ceases. If medical

attention is needed, the battery electrolyte is composed of

a mixture of liquid organic carbonates and lithiumsalts.

• Contents of opened battery cells may cause

respiratory irritation. Provide fresh air. If symptoms

persist, seek medicalattention.



WARNING: Burn hazard. Battery liquid may be

flammable if exposed to spark orflame.

WARNING: Fire hazard. Never attempt to open the

battery pack for any reason. If the battery pack case

is cracked or damaged, do not insert into the charger.

Do not crush, drop or damage the battery pack. Do

not use a battery pack or charger that has received a

sharp blow, been dropped, run over or damaged in

any way (e.g., pierced with a nail, hit with a hammer,

stepped on). Damaged battery packs should be

returned to the service center forrecycling.

Transportation



WARNING: Fire hazard. Do not store or carry the

battery pack so that metal objects can contact

exposed battery terminals. For example, do

not place the battery pack in aprons, pockets, tool

boxes, product kit boxes, drawers, etc., with loose

nails, screws, keys, etc. Transporting batteries

can possibly cause fires if the battery terminals

inadvertently come in contact with conductive

materials such as keys, coins, hand tools and the

like. The US Department of Transportation Hazardous

Material Regulations (HMR) actually prohibit

transporting batteries in commerce or on airplanes in

carry-on baggage UNLESS they are properly protected

from short circuits. So when transporting individual

battery packs, make sure that the battery terminals

are protected and well insulated from materials that

could contact them and cause a shortcircuit.

Fuel Gauge Battery Packs (Fig. B)

Some

DeWALT

battery packs include a fuel gauge which

consists of three green LED lights that indicate the level of

charge remaining in the batterypack.

The fuel gauge is an indication of approximate levels of

charge remaining in the battery pack according to the

followingindicators:

75–100% charged

51–74% charged

< 50% charged

Pack needs to be charged

To actuate the fuel gauge, press and hold the fuel gauge

button. A combination of the three green LED lights will

illuminate designating the level of charge left. When the

level of charge in the battery is below the usable limit, the

fuel gauge will not illuminate and the battery will need to

berecharged.

NOTE: The fuel gauge is only an indication of the charge left

on the battery pack. It does not indicate tool functionality

and is subject to variation based on product components,

temperature and end-userapplication.

• DO NOT attempt to charge the battery pack with

any chargers other than the ones in this manual.

The charger and battery pack are specifically designed to

worktogether.

• These chargers are not intended for any uses other

than charging

DeWALT

rechargeable batteries.

Any other uses may result in risk of fire, electric shock

orelectrocution.

• Do not expose the charger to rain orsnow.

• Pull by the plug rather than the cord when

disconnecting the charger. This will reduce the risk of

damage to the electric plug andcord.

• Make sure that the cord is located so that it will not

be stepped on, tripped over or otherwise subjected

to damage orstress.

• Do not use an extension cord unless it is absolutely

necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in

risk of fire, electric shock orelectrocution.

• When operating a charger outdoors, always provide

a dry location and use an extension cord suitable

for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use

reduces the risk of electricshock.

• An extension cord must have adequate wire size

(AWG or American Wire Gauge) for safety. The smaller

the gauge number of the wire, the greater the capacity

of the cable, that is, 16 gauge has more capacity than 18

gauge. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage

resulting in loss of power and overheating. When using

more than one extension to make up the total length,

be sure each individual extension contains at least the

minimum wire size. The following table shows the correct

size to use depending on cord length and nameplate

ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next heavier gauge. The

lower the gauge number, the heavier thecord.

• Do not place any object on top of the charger or

place the charger on a soft surface that might block

the ventilation slots and result in excessive internal

heat. Place the charger in a position away from any heat

source. The charger is ventilated through slots in the top

and the bottom of thehousing.

• Do not operate the charger with a damaged cord

orplug.

• Do not operate the charger if it has received a sharp

blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in any

way. Take it to an authorized servicecenter.

• Do not disassemble the charger; take it to an

authorized service center when service or repair

is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of

electric shock, electrocution orfire.

• Disconnect the charger from the outlet before

attempting any cleaning. This will reduce the risk of

electric shock. Removing the battery pack will not reduce

thisrisk.

• NEVER attempt to connect 2 chargerstogether.

• The charger is designed to operate on standard

120V household electrical power. Do not attempt to

use it on any other voltage. This does not apply to the

vehicularcharger.



WARNING: Shock hazard. Do not allow any liquid to

get inside the charger. Electric shock mayresult.



WARNING: Burn hazard. Do not submerge the

battery pack in any liquid or allow any liquid to

enter the battery pack. Never attempt to open the

battery pack for any reason. If the plastic housing of

the battery pack breaks or cracks, return to a service

center forrecycling.



CAUTION: Burn hazard. To reduce the risk of injury,

charge only

DeWALT

rechargeable battery packs.

Other types of batteries may overheat and burst

resulting in personal injury and propertydamage.

NOTICE: Under certain conditions, with the charger

plugged into the power supply, the charger can

be shorted by foreign material. Foreign materials

of a conductive nature, such as, but not limited to,

grinding dust, metal chips, steel wool, aluminum

foil or any buildup of metallic particles should be

kept away from the charger cavities. Always unplug

the charger from the power supply when there is no

battery pack in the cavity. Unplug the charger before

attempting toclean.

Charging a Battery (Fig. C)

1. Plug the charger into an appropriate outlet before

inserting batterypack.

into the charger, making sure

the battery pack is fully seated in the charger. The red

(charging) light will blink continuously indicating that

the charging process hasstarted.

3. The completion of charge will be indicated by the red

light remaining ON continuously. The battery pack is

fully charged and may be used at this time or left in the

charger.

NOTE: To ensure maximum performance and life of lithium-

ion battery packs, charge the battery pack fully before

firstuse.

Refer to the indicators below for the charge status of the

batterypack.

Problem Pack or Charger

The compatible charger(s) will not charge a faulty battery

pack. The charger will indicate faulty battery pack by

refusing to light or by displaying a problem pack or charger

blinkpattern.

NOTE: This could also mean a problem with acharger.

If the charger indicates a problem, take the charger and

battery pack to be tested at an authorized servicecenter.

Hot/Cold Pack Delay

When the charger detects a battery pack that is too hot

or too cold, it automatically starts a Hot/Cold Pack Delay,

suspending charging until the battery pack has reached an

appropriate temperature. The charger then automatically

switches to the pack charging mode. This feature ensures

maximum battery packlife.

A cold battery pack will charge at a slower rate than a warm

battery pack. The battery pack will charge at that slower rate

throughout the entire charging cycle and will not return to

Electronic Protection System

Li-Ion tools are designed with an Electronic Protection

System that will protect the battery pack against

overloading, overheating or deepdischarge.

The tool will automatically turn off if the Electronic

Protection System engages. If this occurs, place the lithium-

ion battery pack on the charger until it is fullycharged.

Charger Cleaning Instructions



WARNING: Shock hazard. Disconnect the charger

from the AC outlet before cleaning. Dirt and grease

may be removed from the exterior of the charger using

a cloth or soft non-metallic brush. Do not use water or

any cleaningsolutions.

Important Charging Notes

1. Longest life and best performance can be obtained if

the battery pack is charged when the air temperature is

between 65°F and 75°F (18° – 24°C). DO NOT charge

the battery pack in an air temperature below +40°F

(+4.5°C), or above +104°F (+40°C). This is important

and will prevent serious damage to the batterypack.

2. The charger and battery pack may become warm to the

touch while charging. This is a normal condition, and

does not indicate a problem. To facilitate the cooling of

the battery pack after use, avoid placing the charger or

battery pack in a warm environment such as in a metal

shed or an uninsulatedtrailer.

3. If the battery pack does not charge properly:

a. Check operation of receptacle by plugging in a lamp

or other appliance;

b. Check to see if receptacle is connected to a light

switch which turns power off when you turn out the

lights;

c. Move the charger and battery pack to a location

where the surrounding air temperature is

approximately 65°F – 75°F (18° – 24°C);

d. If charging problems persist, take the tool, battery

pack and charger to your local servicecenter.

4. The battery pack should be recharged when it fails to

produce sufficient power on jobs which were easily

done previously. DO NOT CONTINUE to use under these

conditions. Follow the charging procedure. You may

also charge a partially used pack whenever you desire

with no adverse effect on the batterypack.

5. Foreign materials of a conductive nature such as, but

not limited to, grinding dust, metal chips, steel wool,

aluminum foil, or any buildup of metallic particles

should be kept away from charger cavities. Always

unplug the charger from the power supply when there

is no battery pack in the cavity. Unplug the charger

before attempting toclean.

6. Do not freeze or immerse the charger in water or any

otherliquid.

Storage Recommendations

1. The best storage place is one that is cool and dry, away

from direct sunlight and excess heat orcold.

2. For long storage, it is recommended to store a fully

charged battery pack in a cool dry place out of the

charger for optimalresults.

WARNING: Mow across the face of slopes, never

up-and-down. Exercise extreme caution when

changing direction on slopes. Do not mow excessively

steep slopes. Always maintain goodfooting.

1. Release bail handle to turn mower “OFF” when crossing

any gravel area (stones can be thrown by theblade).

2. Set mower at highest cutting height when mowing

in rough ground or in tall weeds. Removing too much

grass at one time can cause the motor to be overloaded

and to stop. Refer toTroubleshooting.

3. If a grass collection bag

is used during the fast

growing season, the grass may tend to clog up at the

discharge opening. Release bail handle to turn mower

off, remove the safety key and battery pack. Remove the

catcher and shake the grass down to the back end of

the bag. Also clean out any grass or debris which may

be packed around the discharge opening. Replace the

grasscatcher.

4. If mower should start to vibrate abnormally, release bail

handle to turn mower off, remove the safety key and

battery pack. Check immediately for cause. Vibration

is a warning of trouble. Do not operate mower until a

service check has been made. Refer to troubleshooting

section inthismanual.

5. For best cutting results, keep blade sharpened

andbalanced.

6. Inspect and thoroughly clean mower after each use as a

deck with caked grass will degradeperformance.

7. ALWAYS RELEASE BAIL HANDLE TO TURN MOWER

OFF, REMOVE SAFETY KEY AND BATTERY PACK

WHEN LEAVING IT UNATTENDED EVEN FOR A

SHORT PERIOD OFTIME.

The following suggestions will help you to obtain

optimum run time from your cordless mower:

• Slow down in areas where the grass is especially

long orthick.

• Avoid mowing when the grass is wet from rain or

dew-soaked.

• Cut your lawn frequently, especially during high

growthperiods.

NOTE: It is recommended that your mower be

recharged after use to prolong the battery life.

Frequent charging will not harm your battery, and

Sharpening the blade twice during a mowing season is

usually sufficient under normal circumstances. Sand causes

the blade to dull quickly. If your lawn has sandy soil, more

frequent sharpening may berequired. REPLACE BENT OR

DAMAGED BLADEIMMEDIATELY.

When Sharpening the Blade:

• Make sure blade remainsbalanced.

• Sharpen blade at the original cuttingangle.

• Sharpen cutting edges on both ends of blade, removing



DANGER: cette tondeuse peut amputer les mains

et les pieds et projeter des objets. Ne pas respecter les

instructions de sécurité suivantes pourrait entraîner

une blessure grave ou lamort.

Fonctionnement général

1 . Lisez, comprenez et suivez toutes les instructions sur

la tondeuse et dans le manuel d'instructions avant

lecommencer.

2 . Ne pas mettre les mains ou les pieds près de ou sous la

tondeuse. Tenez-vous éloigné de l’ouverture d'éjection en

touttemps.

3 . Autoriser seulement des adultes responsables, qui

connaissent bien les instructions, à utiliser cettetondeuse.

4 . Libérez la zone où la tondeuse est utilisée de tout objet

comme des roches, des bâtons, un fil, des jouets, des

os, etc., qui pourrait être projeté par la lame. Les objets

frappés par la lame peuvent causer une blessure grave

à des personnes. Restez derrière la poignée lorsque le

moteurfonctionne.

5 . Assurez-vous que des passants ne sont pas dans la zone

entourant la tondeuse. Tous les passants et les animaux

doivent être tenus à une distance sécuritaire. Arrêtez la

tondeuse si toute personne entre dans la zone entourant

latondeuse.

6 . Ne pas utiliser la tondeuse pieds nus ou si vous portez des

sandales. Portez toujours des chaussuressolides.

7 . Ne pas tirer la tondeuse vers l’arrière à moins que ce ne soit

absolument nécessaire. Regardez toujours vers le bas et

derrière avant de déplacer vers l'arrière.

8 . Ne jamais diriger la matière rejetée vers quiconque. Évitez

de rejeter la matière contre un mur ou une obstruction.

La matière peut ricocher vers l’utilisateur. Relâchez l’anse

pour éteindre la tondeuse et arrêter la lame lorsque vous

croisez des surfaces engravier.

9 . Ne pas utiliser la tondeuse sans le sac à herbe entier, le

protecteur d’éjection, le protecteur arrière ou d’autres

dispositifs de protection en place et qui fonctionnent.

Vérifiez régulièrement tous les protecteurs et les dispositifs

de protection de sécurité afin d’assurer qu’ils sont en

bon état de marche, qu’ils fonctionneront correctement

et qu’ils effectueront leur fonction prévue. Remplacez

un verrou, un protecteur ou autre dispositif de sécurité

endommagé avant toute utilisationultérieure.

10 . Ne jamais laisser la tondeuse en marche sanssupervision.

11 . Relâchez l’anse pour arrêter le moteur et attendez jusqu’à

ce que la lame s’arrête complètement et retirez la clé

de sûreté et le bloc-piles avant de nettoyer la tondeuse,

retirer le sac à herbe, désobstruer la protection d’éjection,

lorsque vous laissez la tondeuse ou avant d’effectuer tout

ajustement, toute réparation ou touteinspection.

12 . Utilisez la tondeuse seulement à la lumière du jour ou une

bonne lumière artificielle lorsque les objets dans le trajet

de la lame sont clairement visibles de la zone d’utilisation

de latondeuse.

13 . Ne pas utiliser la tondeuse sous l’influence de l’alcool

ou de drogues, ou lorsque vous êtes fatigué ou malade.

Demeurez toujours vigilant, regardez ce que vous faites et

faites preuve de bonsens.

14 . Évitez les environnements dangereux. Ne jamais utiliser

la tondeuse dans du gazon humide ou mouillé, ne

jamais utiliser la tondeuse sous la pluie. Assurez-vous

toujours que vos pieds sont bien d’aplomb; marchez; ne

jamaiscourir.

15 . Débrayez la système d’entraînement, si la tondeuse en est

munie, avant de démarrer lemoteur.

16 . Si la tondeuse devait démarrer en vibrant de façon

anormale, relâchez l’anse, attendez que la lame s’arrête

et retirez la clé de sûreté et le bloc-piles, puis vérifiez

immédiatement la cause. La vibration est généralement

un avertissement deproblème.

17 . Portez toujours une protection respiratoire et oculaire

appropriée lorsque vous utilisez latondeuse.

18 . L'utilisation de tout accessoire ou toute pièce non

recommandé(e) pour l’utilisation avec cette tondeuse

pourrait être dangereuse. Utilisez seulement des

accessoires approuvés par

DeWALT

19 . Ne jamais vous étirer lorsque vous utilisez la tondeuse.

Maintenez vos pieds bien d'aplomb sur le sol et un bon

équilibre en tout temps lorsque vous utilisez latondeuse.

Utilisation sur une pente

Les pentes sont un facteur important lié aux accidents de

glissements et de chutes qui peuvent entraîner une blessure

grave. L’utilisation sur toutes les pentes nécessite une prudence

accrue. Si vous vous sentez mal à l’aise sur une pente, ne la

tondezpas.

1 . Tondez en vous déplaçant en travers des pentes; jamais

vers le haut ou vers le bas. Soyez très prudent lorsque vous

changez de direction sur lespentes.

2 . Surveillez les trous, les ornières, les bosses, les roches ou

d’autres objets cachés. Un terrain inégal pourrait entraîner

un glissement et une chute accidentelle. L’herbe haute

peut cacher desobstacles.

3 . Ne pas tondre sur de l’herbe mouillée ou des pentes très

raides. Si vos pieds ne sont pas d’aplomb, cela pourrait

entraîner un glissement et une chuteaccidentelle.

4 . Ne pas tondre près des descentes abruptes, des fossés

ou des talus. Vous pourriez perdre votre aplomb ou

votreéquilibre.

Enfants

1 . Des accidents tragiques peuvent se produire si l’utilisateur

ne fait pas attention à la présence des enfants. Les enfants

sont souvent attirés par la tondeuse et l’activité de tonte.

Ne jamais présumer que les enfants demeureront à

l’endroit où vous les avez vus la dernièrefois.

2 . Gardez les enfants hors de la zone de tonte et sous la

vigilance d’un adulte responsable autre que l’utilisateur.

3 . Soyez alerte et éteignez la tondeuse si un enfant entre

dans lazone.

4 . Ne jamais autoriser les enfants à utiliser latondeuse.

5 . Soyez très prudent lorsque vous approchez les tournants

sans visibilité, les arbustes, les arbres ou autres objets que

peuvent vous empêcher de voir un enfant

Service général

1 . Ne jamais utiliser la tondeuse dans un endroitfermé.

2 . Gardez tous les écrous et les boulons serrés afin

de vous assurer que l’équipement est en état de

fonctionnementsécuritaire.

3 . Ne jamais modifier les dispositifs de sécurité. Vérifiez leur

propre fonctionnementrégulièrement.

4 . Gardez la tondeuse libre de toute herbe, feuille ou autre

accumulation de débris. Laissez refroidir la tondeuse

avant de l’entreposer.

5 . Si vous frappez un objet étranger, relâchez l’anse pour

éteindre la tondeuse, attendez que la lame s’arrête et

retirez la clé de sûreté et le bloc-piles, puis inspectez la

tondeuse. Réparez tout dommage avant de démarrer et

d’utiliser latondeuse.

6 . Ne jamais effectuer tout ajustement ou toute réparation

avec le moteur en marche ou pendant que la clé de sûreté

et le bloc-piles sont dans latondeuse.

7 . Retirez toujours la clé de sûreté et le bloc-piles avant

d’ajuster, de nettoyer, de réparer, d’inspecter, de

transporter, d’entreposer ou de laisser latondeuse.

8 . En conditions d’utilisation normale, les composantes du

sac à herbe sont assujetties à la détérioration et à l’usure.

Avant chaque utilisation de la tondeuse, vérifiez les

composantes du sac à herbe et le protecteur d’éjection et

remplacez-les au besoin avec les pièces recommandées

DeWALT

seulement.

9 . Les lames de la tondeuse sont tranchantes. Enveloppez

la lame ou portez des gants et soyez très prudent lorsque

vous l'entretenez.

10 . Conservez ou remplacez les étiquettes d’instructions et de

sécurité aubesoin.

à une distance sécuritaire de la tondeuse

durant l’utilisation.

Les lames en rotation peuvent causer de graves

blessures. Gardez les mains et les pieds loin

du châssis de la tondeuse et de l’ouverture

d’éjection en tout temps. Assurez-vous toujours

que la lame est arrêtée (attendez que la lame

cesse de tourner (environ 3 secondes) après

avoir relâché l’anse et retiré la clé de sûreté et

les blocs-piles) avant de retirer et remplacer le

sac à herbe, nettoyer, entretenir, transporter ou

lever latondeuse.

Les objets frappés par la lame de la tondeuse

peuvent causer une blessure grave. Restez

derrière la poignée lorsque le moteur

fonctionne. Assurez-vous toujours que les

personnes et les animaux sont éloignés de

l’éjection provenant de la tondeuse durant

l’utilisation. Inspectez toujours la zone de

tonte avant de tondre et retirez les objets qui

pourraient être projetés par la lame. Relâchez

l’anse pour éteindre la tondeuse et attendez

que la lame cesse de tourner (environ 3

secondes) avant de traverser le trottoir, les

routes, le patio et les entrées engravier.
