•The product is intended for private, non-commercial
use only.
•Use the product for its intended purpose only.
•Donot operate the product outside the power limits
given in the specications.
•Protect the product from dirt, moistureand
overheating, and only use it in adry environment.
•Donot use the product in moist environments and
avoid splashes.
•Donot bend or crush the cable.
•Always pull directly on the plug when disconnecting
the cable, never on the cable itself.
•Donot drop the product and do not expose it to any
major shocks.

Warning
•Donot place the product near interference elds,
metal frames, computers, TVs, etc. Electronic
devices and window frames can negatively affect
the product’sfunctionality.
•Donot continue to operate the device if it becomes
visibly damaged.
4. Connection and getting started
Warning
• The harddrive adapter may only be used with the
included plug-in power supply.
• Payclose attention to the power and voltage
information on the harddrive adapter if you decide
to use another power supply unit.
• The power supply unit’spower data must
correspond to the specified parameters.
•Make surethat all cables areunplugged from the
harddrive adapter beforeconnecting.
•Attach the harddrive adapter to the harddrive
•Place the harddrive on alevel, stable and non-metal
surface
•Connect the power supply unit to the harddrive
adapter
•Then connect the power supply unit to an unused
socket
•Connect the included USB 3.1 cable to the hard
drive adapter and an unused USB port on your PC/
notebook.

Warning
• The harddrive may not be moved after
connecting the power supply unit to the socket.
This could result in damage to the harddrive
and data loss.
• The harddrive adapter may not be unplugged
from the PC during data transfer under any
circumstance. Data may be lost.
• Under no circumstance does Hama GmbH &Co
KG accept liability for loss of data stored on data
storage media.
•The operating system of your PC /notebook will
initialise the harddrive after connecting. This process
may take aminute.
•Ifthe harddrive is already partitioned and data is on
the harddrive, you can then access that data.
•New or unpartitioned harddrives must be partitioned
and formated after initialisation. Refer to the
operating system manual for your computer/notebook
for the necessary steps to do so.

no warranty for damage resulting from improper

Bewahren Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung anschließend
an einem sicheren Ort auf,umbei Bedarf darin
nachschlagen zu können. Sollten Sie das Gerät
veräußern, geben Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung an den
neuen Eigentümer weiter .

• Betreiben Sie das Produkt nur an einer dafür
zugelassenen Steckdose. Die Steckdose muss in
der Nähe des Produktes angebracht und leicht
zugänglich sein.
• Betreiben Sie das Produkt nicht weiter,wenn es
offensichtlich Beschädigungen aufweist.
4. Anschluss und Inbetriebnahme
Warnung
• Der Festplattenadapter darf nur mit dem
beiliegenden Steckernetzteil betrieben werden.
• Achten Sie zwingend auf die Strom- und
Spannungsangabe auf dem Festplattenadapter
sollten Sie ein anderes Netzteil verwenden.
• Die Leistungsdaten des Netzteiles müssen mit den
angegebenen Parametern übereinstimmen.
•Stellen Sie sicher,dass der Festplattenadapter vor dem
Anschluss von allen Kabeln getrennt ist.
•Stecken Sie den Festplattenadapter auf die Festplatte
•Legen Sie die Festplatte auf eine waagrechte, stabile,
nicht-metallische Fläche
•Stecken Sie das Netzteil an den Festplattenadapter
•Stecken Sie anschließend das Netzteil an eine freie
Steckdose
•Verbinden Sie das beiliegende USB 3.1 Kabel mit
dem Festplattenadapter und einen freien USB Port an
Ihrem PC /Notebook

Warnung
• Nach dem Einstecken des Netzteiles in die
Steckdose darf die Festplatte nicht mehr bewegt
werden! Die Festplatte könnte hierdurch
Schäden erleiden und die auf der Festplatte
gespeicherten Daten können verloren gehen.
• Der Festplattenadapter darf unter keinen
Umständen während der Datenübertragung vom
PC getrennt werden. Ein Datenverlust wärenicht
auszuschließen
• Die Firma Hama GmbH &CoKGhaftet unter
keinen Umständen für den Verlust von Daten,
die auf Datenträgern gespeichert werden.
•Nach dem Anstecken initialisiert das Betriebssystem
Ihres PCs/Notebooks die Festplatte. Dieser Vorgang
kann einen Augenblick in Anspruch nehmen.
•Ist die verwendete Festplatte bereits partitioniert und
es benden sich Daten auf der Festplatte können Sie
anschließend darauf zugreifen.
•Neue bzw.nicht partitionierte Festplatten müssen
nach der Initialisierung partitioniert und formatiert
werden. Die entsprechenden Schritte hierzu
entnehmen Sie der Anleitung für das Betriebssystem
Ihres PCs/Notebooks.
5. Haftungsausschluss
Die Hama GmbH &CoKGübernimmt keinerlei
Haftung oder Gewährleistung für Schäden, die
aus unsachgemäßer Installation, Montage und
unsachgemäßem Gebrauch des Produktes oder einer
Nichtbeachtung der Bedienungsanleitung und/ oder der
Sicherheitshinweise resultieren.

4. Connexion et mise en service
Avertissement
• L’adaptateur de disque dur doit êtreutilisé
uniquement avec le bloc secteur fourni.
• Si vous utilisez un autrebloc secteur,respectez
impérativement les informations relatives au
courant et àlatension spécifiées sur l’adaptateur
de disque dur.
• Les données de performance du bloc secteur
doivent correspondreaux paramètres indiqués.
•Assurez-vous que l’adaptateur de disque dur n’est pas
raccordé àuncâble avant de connecter celui-ci.
•Branchez l’adaptateur de disque dur sur le disque dur.
•Placez le disque dur sur une surface horizontale,
stable et non métallique.
•Branchez le bloc secteur sur l’adaptateur de disque
dur.
•Branchez ensuite le bloc secteur sur une prise
disponible.
•Connectez le câble USB 3.1 fourni àl’adaptateur
de disque dur et un port USB disponible àvotrePC/
ordinateur portable.

Avertissement
• Une fois le bloc secteur branché dans la prise,
le disque dur ne doit plus êtredéplacé !Le
disque dur risquerait de s’abîmer et les données
enregistrées sur le disque dur pourraient se
perdre.
• L’adaptateur de disque dur ne doit en aucun cas
êtredéconnecté du PC pendant le transfert des
données. Une perte de données ne pourrait pas
êtreécartée.
• L’entreprise Hama GmbH &CoKGnepeut être
tenue responsable en cas de perte de données
sauvegardées sur des supports de données.
•Après la connexion, le système d’exploitation de votre
PC/ordinateur portable initialise le disque dur.Cette
procédurepeut durer quelques instants.
•Siledisque dur utilisé est déjà partitionné et que des
données se trouvent sur le disque dur,vous pouvez y
accéder directement.
•Les disques durs nouveaux et/ou non partitionnés
doivent êtrepartitionnés et formatés après
l’initialisation. Vous trouverez une description
des étapes dans la notice relative au système
d’exploitation de votrePC/ordinateur portable.
5. Exclusion de garantie
La société Hama GmbH &CoKGdécline toute
responsabilité en cas de dommages provoqués par
une installation, un montage ou une utilisation non
conformes du produit ou encoreprovoqués par un non
