Prepare your camera for use
Lithium battery installaon
tery supplied ith the camera before using it according to the folloing instrucons.Please install the lithium bat
1. Slide the baery coer belothe camera to access the battery compartment:
nstall lithium battery
2. nsert thelithium baery in the correct polarity direcon.
3. Then close the battery coer and slide it to lock it in place.
Note: Please remoe the battery if you are not going to use the camera for a hile.
Lithium battery charging
To recharge the lithium batterysimply connect the camera (ithout remoing the battery) to your computer using the USB
cable proided in the box. The red LED on the back of the camera ill light up to indicate that the battery is being chargedand
ill turn ofhen fully charged. You can also charge the lithium battery by connecting the camera to Apoer if you hae an
adapter to hich you can connect the USB cable.
SD memory card installation
This camera supports SD memory card up to 64 GB (not included). The internal memory can only store a fephotos for test
purposesthese photos ill be lost hen you turn off your camera or remoe aay the battery. t is necessary to insert a SD
card into the camera before using it. Make sure that the SD card is inserted correctly by gently sliding into the slot unl it
clicks into place to conrm that it is locked. To remoe the cardsimply press it rmly and the card ill ejectitself from the slot.

nstall SD memory card
Locate the SD memory card slot and insert a SD memory card as described aboe unl you hear a "click" sound indicang you
that your SD card is installed. An icon "SD" appears also on the LD screenhen you start up the camera.
Note:
1. All photos and ideos ill be saed to the SD card once it s installed. i
2. Formang ill delete all data stored on the memory card.
3. Do not remoe the micro SD card during formang as this may damage the card.
Start with your digital camera
The digital camera supports 3 modes: Photo modeVideo mode and Playback mode.
Photo mode is for you to take sll photos and the Video one to record ideos. You can also iephotos or ideos you shot or
deleterotateprotectcrop and print your photos in Playback mode.
Power on
Press Poer key once to turn on your camera. The LD screenill light up and it ill sound "beep" indicang you that your
camera is turned on and ready to use.

Power o
Press Poer key once to turn oyour camera. When the baery poer leel is insucientthe camera ill display a red icon
on the LD screen and automacally turn oaer a feseconds.
Photo mode
Once the camera is turned onicon ill appear on your LD screen indicang that photo mode is acated.
Taking photos
old the camera steady and press Shuer key to take photo. t then takes a feseconds to record the photo on the memory
card. Aer each photo shotthe number displayed on the LD screen top right corner indicates homany more photos you
can take based on the current sengs and the size ohe memory card inserted in the camera. When the camera memory is
fullthe LD screenill display "Memory Card Full" if you press Shuer key to take photo. To connue photo shoongyou
need to transfer all data ohe memory card on your computer or delete them to get more memory. Alternaelyyou can
insert a neempty SD memory card.
Digital zoom
You can enlarge the object up to 8 mes ith the digital zoom. Press (T) key to zoom in the object and press the (W) key to
zoom out. Theicon W Till shoup on the LD screen.
Flash
n lolight condions it is beer to use the builtin ash. You can also use the ash to compensate for backlight condions.
To sehe ash:
Automacash: press Flash key repeatedly unl the icon. t should turn on automacallyhen the shoong brightness
is lo.
Manual ash: press Flash key repeatedly unl the icon. t remains ace unl you turn it o.f the ash is not readya red
LED ill light up beside the LD screen and the icon ill blink; you hae to aior the ash to focus. A " low baery"
arning ill appear on the LD screen if there is insucient baery to poer on the ash.
Redeye reducon: press Flash key repeatedly unl the icon to acate the red eye reducon.
Flash o: press Flash key repeatedly unl the icon to turn it o.

Scene
Your camera supplies scenes for you to take photos in any enironment: Auto / Scenery / Portrait / ight Portrait / ight
Scenery / igh Sensiity / Beach.
Press Poer key to turn on your camera – the icon ill appear on the upper lecorner ohe LD screen.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
3.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Scene.
4.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Auto / Scenery / Portrait / ight Portrait / ight Scenery / ighSensiity / Beach.
5.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then press MODE key to return to photo mode.
Note:
1.
Once scenery is selectedthe corresponding scenery icon appears on the LD screen.
2.
You can press Le/ Right keys to directly sitch into Scene opons.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select the scene and press SET key to conrm.
Image resoluon
The image size and uality sengs determine the number of photos can be saed and the memory reuired for each photo.
igher uality photos ill take more memory. The image size and uality ill also aect the maximum size to hich you can
print your photo.
To set the image resoluon:
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.

Press Le/ Right keys to select the icon
3.

Quality
The ality of your photos also aects the number of photo shoots you can take. The Super Fine uality means you can take
feer photos but hey ill be beer uality.

Press SET key to enter the menu.

Press Le/ Right keys to select Quality.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Super Fine / Fine / ormal.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then press MODE key to return to photo mode.
5.
The icon corresponding to the selected ality ill then be displayed on the LD screen.
Self-mer
You can include yourself in a photo by turning on this opon to delay the me beteen your pressing Shuer key and hen
the photo is actually taken. deal for group shots e recommend you to use a tripod or to place the camera on a stable
surface if you ish to use the selfmer.

Press SET key to enter the menu.

Press Le/ Right keys to select the icon
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select a countdonme or turning selfmer o: 2 sec. /5sec. / 10 sec. / O.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then MODE key to return to photo mode.

The icon corresponding to the selected selfmer me ill then be displayed on the LD screen.
Note: This funcon sitches oautomacally aer each use.
An-Shake
This seng allos you to stabilize shoong to aoid taking blurry pictures. You do not need a tripod for stabilizaon.
To set as follos:
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to seleche icon
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: On / O.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm and then MODE key to return to photo mode.
5.
The icon ill be displayed on the LD screen to indicate that he AnShake is acated.t

Connuous shoong
With this sengyou can take up to 6 pictures connuously (VGA image size only) aer pressing Shuer key once.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to seleche icon
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: On / O.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm and then MODE key to return to photo mode.
Note: When you acate this sengthe image resoluon automacally sitches to VGA. t has been changedthe message
"Connue Shot Mode O" message ill be displayed on the screen to remind you thahe connuous shoong is only
aailable hen the image size is VGA.
White balance
This seng allos the camera to adjust the color of your photos according to the color ohe light source.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select White balance.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Auto / Daylight/loudy / Fluorescent/ncandescent.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then MODE key to return to photo mode.
Color eect
This seng allos you to gie a fancy eect to your photos by changing their color.
1. Press SET key to enter the menu.
2. Press LeRight keys to select Color eect.
3. Press Up / Don keys to select: Stand / Sepia / Monochrome / Viid.
4. Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then MODE key to return to photo mode.
Sharpness
This seng allos you to adjushe sharpness of your imagesmaking edges more or less disnct.
1. Press SET key to enter the menu.
2. Press Le/ Right keys to select Image Sharpness.
3. Press Up / Don keys to select: So/ormal / Sharp.
4. Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then MODE key to return to photo mode.

Exposure
This seng allos you to control the brightness of your photos.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Exposure.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select an exposure alue from +3 to 3.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then MODE key to return to photo mode.
5.
The exposure icon ill then be displayed on the LD screen.
ISO

Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select ISO.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Auto / 100/200 / 400.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then MODE key to return to photo mode.
5.
The corresponding SO icon ill then be displayed on the LD screen.
Metering
This seng allos you to adjushe metering point.
1. Press SET key to enter the menu.
2. Press Le/ Right keys to select Metering.
3. Press Up / Don keys to select: enter / Mul/ Spot.
4. Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then MODE key to return to photo mode.
5. The corresponding metering icon ill then be displayed on the LD screen.
Language
There are mulple languages aailable.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Language.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select your language.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and then MODE key to return to photo mode.

Date/Time
This seng allos you to set system date and me that ill be displayed on the photos if you turn it on.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Date/Time.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: On to display the date on the photo hen you donload it to your computer / O  no
date on the photos / Date Setup – to set the system date.
4.
f you select Date Setup:
Press SET key to enter the Date Setup menu.
Press Le/ Right keys to select the highlighted Year / Month / Date / our / Minute / Second / AM.
Press Up / Don keys to set up the precise date and me.
5.
Press MODE key to return to the menu and press SET key again to return to photo Mode.
Silent mode
This seng allos you to turn on / othe camera sound.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Silent Mode.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: On / O.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm and press MODE key to return to photo mode.
Auto power o
The default seng for camera auto poer ois 1 minuteto change itfollothe steps belo:
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Auto Power O.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select a me: 1 Minute / 3 Minutes / 5 Minutes / one.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and press MODE key to return to photo mode.
Note: f you choose onethe camera ill not turn ounl the baery is completely discharged or it is manually turned o.
Frequency
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Frequency.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: 50z / 60z.

4.
Press SET key again to conrm and press MODE key to return to photo mode.
Format
This opon ill format the memory card and erase all photos and ideos stored on it including protected es.
Note: Please be careful ith formang. Once the memory card is formaedall es stored on it ill be permanently deleted.
s highly recommended that you transfer all your photos and moies or other important files to your computer before
formang.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Format.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Yes / ancel.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm.
5.
Press Up / Don keys to select "Yes" or "o" if you chose O.
6.
Press the SET key one more me to conrm.
7.
"Please wait" appears on the LD screen and the camera ill come back to photo mode once formang is done.
Default seng
This seng allos you to reset your camera sengs back to the factory defaults alues.
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Default seng.
3.
Press SET key again to conrm and enter the submenu.
4.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Yes – to restore default seng /o – to exit.
5.
Press SET key again to conrm and press MODE key to return to photo mode.

Video Mode
Note: The camera has limited internal memory and does not allorecording ithout a SD card (up to 32 GB) inserted.
1.
Press MODE key to select the ideo mode and then press Shuer key to start ideo recording. The ideo icon ill
be displayed in the upper lecorner ohe LD screen and the elapsed recording me in the upper right corner. The
ashing red dot ill also appear on the screen to indicate that ideo recording is in progress.
2.
Press Shuer key to stop shoong.
3.
The scale can be adjusted during the recording.
Note:
1.
Files ill be saed in AVformat.
2.
You can play all AVe you shon playback mode or other media players on your computer.
3.
When the camera's memory is fullthe "Card Full" message ill appear on the LD screenhen you aempt shoot
more ideos. Transfer all es stored on SD memory card to your Por delete them to shoot more ideos. Alternaely
you can insert a SD memory card to expand the memory to record longer ideos.
There are many sengs to set up in ideo mode that are similar as photo mode. This is not introduced here.
Video resoluon
1.
Press SET key to enter the menu.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select theicon
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: D 1280x720PVGA 640x480QVGA 320x240.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon and press MODE key to return to ideo mode.
5.
The corresponding icon omage size ill shoup on the LDscreen.

Playback Mode
With the playback modeyou can iethe photos and ideos stored on the memory card. You can also rotateprotectdelete
cropprint ia PictBridge and start a slideshoof your photos. To sitch on itdouble press the MODE key and an icon JPG
(photo) or AV(ideo) ill shoup on the upper lecorner ohe LD screen to indicate thahe playback mode is ell
acated.
Note:
1.
The message "No File Exist"ill be displayed on the LD screen ihere are no photos/ideos in the camera. Press
then MODE key to return to the Photo Mode.
2.
Please sitch to photo mode and press SET key to change the sengs of ideo recordingsuch as ideo size hite
balanceetc.
Thumbnail playback
When the camera is in playback Modepress (W) / Zoom out key to enter the thumbnail playback. Select a photo and press
SET key to display in full screen. n full screen modeyou can press (T) key to zoom in and press (W) key to zoom out on the
photo you selected.

Press (W) key to enter the thumbnail playback.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to choose hich photo you ano preie.
3.
Press SET key to choose the photo.
4.
Press (T) key to zoom in.
5.
Press Up / Don / Le/ Right keys to iethe details ohe photo more clearly.
6.
Press SET key again to exit the menu.
Edit sll photos
When the camera is in playback modepress Le/ Right keys to rst select a photo (an icon JPG ill shoon the LD screen)
you ant to rotateprotectdeletecrop or print.
Delete
You can delete unanted photos andideos to gain more memory. You can do this e by e or delete all unprotected photos
and ideos stored on the memory card.
1.
Press SET key in playback mode.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to seleche Delete.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Delete This Photo / Delete All mages / ancel.
4.
Press SET key again to conrm your selecon.

Press Up / Don keys to select "Yes" or "o".
6.
Press SET key to conrm.
Note: n playback Modehere is hoto uickly delete photo:
1. Seleche photo you ano delete.
2. Press Right/Delete key.
3. Press Up / Don keys to select "Yes" or "o".
4. Press SET key to conrm.
Rotate
1.
Press SET key in playback mode.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Rotate.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: 90°/ 180°/ 270°/ ancel.
4.
Press SET key again to sae photo rotaon and return to playback mode.
Note: The "Saving" message ill shoup on the LD screen once you hae pressed SET key to conrm.
Crop Image
rop your photos to reeal only a part of an image or to highlight certain focal pointand sae the cropped part as a nephoto.
1.
Press SET key in playback mode.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select the icon
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: rop / ancel.
4.
f you select roppress SET key again to enter the submenu.
5.
Press Up / Don / Le/ Right keys to select the area you ant to crop.
6.
Press (W) / (T) keys to expand or reduce the area you chose.
7.
Press Shuer key to conrm and sae the image cropping.
8.
Press SET key one more me to return to playback mode.
Protect
You can protect your photos/ideos from accidental deleon.
1.
Press SET key in playback mode.
2.
Press Le/ Right keys to select the Protect.
3.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Lock This Photo / Unlock This Photo / Lock All mage / Unlock All mages.
4.
Press SET key to conrm your choice.

5.
A lock icon ill shoup on the LD screen if you select "Lock".
6.
f you select "Unlock"press then SET key again to unlock the current file.
7.
Press MODE key to return to playback mode.
Note: When you iephotos or ideosa lock icon ill be displayed on the screen for each protected e.
Print
Photos can be printed using any printer ith the PictBridge funcon.
Proceed as belo:
1.
Seleche photo you ant to print.
2.
Press SET key.
3.
Press Le/ Right keys to select Print.
4.
Press Up / Don keys to select: Print This Photo / ancel.
5.
Press SET key again to enter print opon and the "Please connect camera to Pictbridge printer" message ill shoup
on the LD screen.
6.
onnect the camera to compable printer ith USB cable correctly to launch the photo prinng.
Slide Show
You can ieyour photos in a slide sho.
1.
Press SET key.
2.
Press Up / Don keys to select a slide sho me per photo: 3 Seconds / 5 Seconds / 10 Seconds.
3.
Press Up key to conrm and start the photo slide sho.
Play AVI es
1.
Select an AVe you ant to atch.
2.
Press Shuer key to play the e and press it again to pause.
Note: To protect and delete ideosplease refer to the dedicated secons aboe.
