Main Parts in Accessory Pack
Installing XT/PS/RT/ZT Series to Gen9 Base
Gen 9 base support XT, PS, RT, and ZT series POS terminal. Please follow the
below procedure to install the POS terminal into Gen 9 base stand. However,
to avoid users installing by mistake, it is suggested that professional
technicians implement the installation. To get more detail information about
the installation, contact directly the Posiflex’ technical service team.
For RT series, make sure your RT terminal is Q version, which means the
VESA mount bracket of the RT terminal can be opened through two
thumbscrews. To get more detail information, please refer to the relevant user
manual on Posiflex global website: http://www.posiflex.com/en-
global/Download/download. Or contact directly the Posiflex’ technical service
team.
1. Remove the top cover and the cable cover by pressing and pulling at the
position which circled in the below picture.

2. Remove the rear cover of the Gen9 base stand.
3. Remove the hinge cover like the below pictures.

4. For RT and ZT series terminal, you have to change the VESA 100x100
mounting bracket to the VESA 75x75 mounting bracket which provided
in the packing. Remove and install the bracket with six screws.
For XT and PS series terminal, you can skip this step.
5. For XT/PS series terminal, fix the terminal to the VESA 100x100
mounting bracket with four hex socket head screws. You can find the
Allen Wrench in the package of the main system.

For RT/ZT series terminal, fix the terminal to the VESA 75x75
mounting bracket with four hex socket head screws. You can find the
Allen Wrench in the package of the main system. Please note the screws
marked A are for ZT series terminal, and screws marked B are for RT
series terminal
6. Connect the power cable to the POS terminal. Furthermore, if there is a
printer in the Gen9 base stand, connect the USB cable to the POS
terminal.

7. Connect the power cable to the power board of the Gen9 base stand.
Please note that XT/PS/RT series are 12V DC-IN POS terminal, so you
have to connect the power cable to the 4-pin 12V DC-OUT connector of
the power board. Please refer to the below picture, or you can refer to the
power board view on P.3.

ZT series terminal, is a 24V DC-IN POS terminal, so you have to
connect the power cable to the 3-pin 24V DC-OUT connector of the
power board. Please refer to the below picture, or you can refer to the
power board view on P.3.
8. For XT/PS series terminal.
If there is no 2nd display for Gen9
base stand, close the I/O cable cover
to the XT/PS series terminal.
If there is a 2nd display for Gen9
base stand, please install the 2nd
display first before closing the I/O
cable cover.
Please find the relevant user manual
for the installation guide of the 2nd
display for Gen9 base stand.
9. Put the top cover and the cable cover to the Gen9 base stand.

10. Put the hinge cover to the rear side of the terminal with both hands.
11. Put the rear cover back to the Gen9 base stand.
12. Tilt the monitor screen to your desired angle. While setting up the tilting
adjustment, be careful NOT to press on the LCD panel.

About 2nd Monitor for Gen9 Base
Gen 9 base support LM/TM-5015 and LM/TM-5016 2nd monitor. The detail of
installation guide is provided in the relevant monitor’s user manual. However,
to avoid users installing by mistake, it is suggested that professional
technicians implement the installation. To get more detail information about
the installation, contact directly the Posiflex’ technical service team.
Installing the Optional Printer into Gen 9 Base Stand
Follow the below step to install the PP-7900 printer into Gen 9 base stand.
However, to avoid users installing by mistake, it is suggested that professional
technicians implement the installation. To get more detail information about
the installation of the printer, contact directly the Posiflex’ technical service
team.
1. Hold the concave portion of the cable cover with thumb, as shown in the
circled portion of the figure, and then remove the cable cover in the
direction indicated by the arrow in the below picture.
2. Fix the bottom tray bracket to the bottom side of the printer with two
M2.5 screws. Please fix PP-7900 printer into the screw holes marked B.

3. Install the printer to the GEN 9 base stand like the below picture. Make
sure the positioning plunger is well installed into the positioning hole.
If you want to remove the printer, please pull the plunger upwards on
the rear side and then push the printer out.
4. Remove the top cover and the cable cover by pressing and pulling at the
position which circled in the below picture.

5. Remove the rear cover of the Gen9 base stand.
6. Remove the hinge cover by releasing the hooks like the below pictures.
7. Connect the 24V power cable and the USB cable to the printer.

8. (1) Connect the other side of the power cable to one of the 24V DC-OUT
connector.
(2) Pass the USB cable through the cable exit, and then connect the other
side of the USB cable to the POS system.
9. Put the top tear cover and the cable cover to the Gen9 base stand.
10. Put the main system hinge cover to the rear side of the terminal with both
hands.

11. Put the rear cover back to the Gen9 base stand.
