HOW TO USE
WARNING: ALWAYS unplug the blender before assembling, disassembling, cleaning or
storing.
1. Position the base on a dry, at and level surface.
2. Add food or liquid into the blender, but do not overload. This blender is meant to
process or blend regular, small quantities of food.
3. Press the blender lid rmly into place. Insert the clear inner portion of the two-piece
lid into the center of the lid. Align the two tabs of the clear inner portion with the two
slots on the lid. Turn clockwise to secure in place. CAUTION: NEVER operate the
blender without the lid placed on the glass jar.
4. Plug the power cord into a household power outlet. The digital screen will ash three
times and then the power button will stay illuminated. The blender is in idle mode.
5. Touch the power button to illuminate the digital screen- the blender is now in stand-
by mode. The power button will ash until a speed is selected. Note: If no speed
button is selected within 30 seconds, the screen will go dark again and the blender
will return to idle mode with only the power light illuminated.
6. Touch the desired speed button to start blending. Allow food to blend for desired
amount of time, and then press the red STOP button to turn off blending process.
7. When the LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH or LIQUIFY buttons are selected, the blender will
blend for 60 seconds and then turn off if the STOP button is not pushed before then.
8. When the SMOOTHIE button is selected, the blender will blend for 15 seconds on
MEDIUM setting, then blend on LOW for 5 seconds, and will continue blending in
the same pattern for a total of 60 seconds.
9. In order to use the PULSE function, press and hold the PULSE button for the desired
amount of time, then release the button to stop blending, repeating this process for
as long as needed.
10. Before removing the lid or the jar from the base, wait for the cutting blade to stop
rotating. To remove the jar from the base, grasp the jar handle.
CAUTION: If jar rotates during blending, immediately press the STOP button, then
secure the jar by tightening the cutting blade assembly on the jar.
PULSE: Pulse is the ideal setting for smaller quantities or short blending cycles. For
example, use the pulse setting to crumb a variety of dry ingredients: cookies, crackers,
breads, etc. Pulse is also ideal for chopping vegetables and nuts, or grating cheese or
chocolate.
CARE AND CLEANING
TO CLEAN
1. This appliance should be cleaned after every use.
2. After the blade has stopped turning, always unplug the blender before cleaning.
3. Disassemble the blender for thorough cleaning. To remove the cutting blade
assembly from the glass jar, position the blender on the motor base to hold it in
place and rotate the collar counterclockwise unscrewing the collar from the base
of the jar. Cautiously remove the cutting blade assembly, including the sealing ring
(gasket). NOTE: Handle blades carefully and do not touch the edges, they are
sharp.
4. Wash two-piece lid, glass jar, gasket, and cutting blade assembly in hot, soapy
water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
5. Wipe base with a damp cloth or sponge. NEVER IMMERSE the motor housing in
