Instructions Before Use

Always follow these safety guidelines. Failure to do so may

result in serious bodily injury or death.

General Safety

mWARNING! This product is designed for outdoor use

by children between the age of 3-7. To reduce the risk of

injury, adult supervision is required at all times. Never use it

in roadways, around motor vehicles, steep inclines, steps,

swimming pools or other bodies of water. Do not use indoors.

Before starting up your ride-on SUV, please check it carefully

for any defects. If you find any, do not start up your product.

Contact your authorized Snow Joe® + Sun Joe® dealer or

call the Snow Joe® + Sun Joe® customer service center at

1-866-SNOWJOE (1-866-766-9563).

mWARNING! When using the ride-on SUV, basic safety

precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of

fire, electric shock, and personal injury. These include:

• Limited to one person – Ensure that there is only

one person in the ride-on SUV at any given time. The

maximum weight capacity of this product is 66 lbs (30 kg).

Do not overload the product.

• Assembly – All assembly and adjustments must be

performed by an adult. Ensure that all fasteners are

securely tightened. Keep children away from all loose

parts and components.

• Know your product – Know how to start and stop the

product. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and

ensure they are functioning properly.

• Avoid unintentional starting – Ensure the on/off button

is in the off position before installing the battery. Even if

you some how manange to, do not carry the ride-on SUV

with your finger on the on/off button. To avoid sudden

unintended acceleration, do not stand on the throttle.

• Moving parts – Keep hands and feet away from moving

parts such as the wheels, axles or motors.

• Gear shifter – Do not change gears while the ride-on SUV

is in motion.

• Hazards – Do not use on smooth floors such as marble.

Be aware of any potential obstacles or hazards. If the ride-

on SUV strikes an obstacle, follow these steps:

• Stoptheride-onSUV.

• Inspectfordamage.

• Repairanydamagebeforerestartingtheproduct.

• Dress properly – Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as

such articles can become caught in moving parts. Tie up

long hair. Always wear shoes and a helmet.

• Sit properly – Do not stand on the seat or roll bar. Always

wear the 4-point racing harness while driving.

• Remove the battery – Turn off the ride-on SUV and

remove the battery when not in use, when clearing

jammed material, before making adjustments, before

storing, or before performing any maintenance.

• Store indoors – When not in use, the ride-on SUV should

be stored indoors in a dry place out of the reach of

children.

• Avoid water – Do not use the ride-on SUV in rain or in

damp or wet locations. Do not allow water or any other

liquids to get on the product or the remote.

• Noise and vibrations – Observe any noise-prevention

regulations. If the ride-on SUV should start to vibrate

abnormally, stop the machine and inspect it thoroughly for

damage.

Maintenance + Storage

mWARNING! Do not use detergents, acids, alkaline

solutions, bleaches or solvents such as acetone to clean your

tool. These substances may damage the plastic housing of the

machine.

• Inspect the tool – Before use, visually inspect the product

for any loose fasteners or damaged parts.

• Replacement parts – Inspect the product for worn,

missing, or damaged parts. When servicing this unit,

useonlyidenticalreplacementparts.Replaceorrepair

damaged parts immediately. Contact the Snow Joe® +

Sun Joe® customer service center at 1-866-SNOWJOE

(1-866-766-9563) for assistance.

• Store indoors – When not in use, the tool should be

stored indoors in a dry place out of the reach of children.

Battery & Charger

Safety Instructions

We pay a great deal of attention to the design of every battery

pack to ensure that we supply you with batteries that are safe,

durable and have a high energy density. The battery cells have

a wide range of safety devices. Each individual cell is initially

formatted and its electrical characteristic curves are recorded.

This data is then used exclusively to be able to assemble the

best possible battery packs.

Despite all the safety precautions, caution must always be

exercised when handling batteries. The following points must

be obeyed at all times to ensure safe use. Safe use can only

be guaranteed if undamaged cells are used. Incorrect handling

of the battery pack can cause cell damage.

IMPORTANT! Analysesconrmthatincorrectuseandpoor

care of high-performance batteries are the main factors

responsible for product damage and/or personal injury.

mWARNING! Use only approved replacement batteries;

other batteries may damage the product and cause it to

malfunction, which can lead to serious personal injury.

mWARNING! Do not use a battery pack or product that

is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may

exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk

of injury.

Do not modify or attempt to repair the product or the battery

pack except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.

Do not modify the electronic components of the product or the

remote.

Haveyourbatterypackservicedbyaqualiedrepairperson

using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the

safety of the battery pack is maintained.

mCAUTION! To reduce the risk of injury, use only official

24V iON+ designated chargers with the 24V iON+ battery

pack. The use of other batteries or chargers poses a risk of

fire, personal injury and damage. Do not wire a battery pack to

a power supply plug or car cigarette lighter, such misuse will

permanently disable or damage the battery pack.

mWARNING! To reduce the risk of electric shock,

always unplug the charger before performing any cleaning

or maintenance. Do not allow water to flow into the charger.

Use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) to reduce shock

hazards.

• Avoid dangerous environments – Do not charge the

battery pack in rain, snow or in damp or wet locations.

Do not use the battery pack or charger in the presence

of explosive atmospheres (gaseous fumes, dust or

flammable materials) because sparks may be generated

when inserting or removing the battery pack, which could

lead to a fire.

• Charge in a well-ventilated area – Do not block the

charger vents. Keep them clear to allow for proper

ventilation. Do not allow smoking or open flames near a

charging battery pack. Vented gases may explode.

NOTE: The safe temperature range for the battery is

41°F (5°C) to 105°F (40.5°C). Do not charge the battery

outside in freezing weather; charge it at room temperature.

• Maintain charger cord – When unplugging the charger,

pull the plug, not the cord from the receptacle to reduce

the risk of damage to the power cord. Never carry the

charger by its cord. Keep the cord away from heat, oil and

sharp edges. Make sure the cord will not be stepped on,

tripped over or subjected to damage or stress when the

charger is in use. Do not use a charger with a damaged

cordorplug.Replaceadamagedchargerimmediately.

• Do not use an extension cord unless it is absolutely

necessary – Using the wrong, damaged or improperly

wired extension cord poses a risk of fire and electric

shock. If an extension cord must be used, plug the

charger into a properly wired 16 gauge or larger extension

cord with the female plug matching the male plug on the

charger. Make sure that the extension cord is in good

electrical condition.

• Unplug charger when not in use – Make sure to remove

battery packs from unplugged chargers.

• Do not expose the product or battery pack to fire –

Exposure to fire or temperatures above 265°F (130°C) may

cause the battery pack to explode, causing personal injury

or damage. Toxic fumes and materials are created when

battery packs are ignited.

• Do not crush, drop or damage battery packs –

Do not use the battery pack or charger if they have

sustained a sharp blow, been dropped from a height

of more than 3 feet (1 meter), run over or have been

damaged in any way. Even if the housing of the battery

pack appears to be undamaged, the battery cells inside

the battery may have suffered serious damage. In such

instances, please read the waste disposal information for

proper battery disposal.

• Do not disassemble – Incorrect reassembly may pose

a serious risk of electric shock, fire or exposure to toxic

battery chemicals. If the battery or charger is damaged,

contact an authorized Snow Joe® + Sun Joe® dealer or

call the Snow Joe® + Sun Joe® customer service center at

1-866-SNOWJOE (1-866-766-9563) for assistance.

• Battery chemicals cause serious burns – Never let a

damaged battery pack contact the skin, eyes or mouth.

If damaged, battery chemicals will react violently with air.

Use rubber or neoprene gloves to safely dispose of it. If

skin is exposed to battery chemicals, wash the affected

area with soap and water. If eyes are exposed to battery

chemicals, immediately flush with water for 20 minutes

andseekmedicalattention.Removeanddisposeof

contaminated clothing.

• Risk of short circuit – A battery pack will short circuit if

a metal object makes a connection between the positive

and negative contacts on the battery pack. Do not place a

battery pack near anything that may cause a short circuit,

such as paperclips, coins, keys, screws, nails and other

metallic objects. A short-circuited battery pack poses a

risk of fire and severe personal injury.

• Adults only – The battery should be handled and charged

by adults only. Never allow children access to the battery.

• Store your battery pack and charger in a cool, dry

place – Ideally, store the battery pack at 59°F (15°C) and

charged to at least 40%. Do not store the battery pack or

charger where temperatures may exceed 105ºF (40.5ºC),

such as in direct sunlight or inside a vehicle, or where

temperatures may drop below 41°F (5°C).

NOTE: Prevent the battery pack from freezing. Battery

packs that were stored below 32°F (0°C) for more than 60

minutes must be discarded.

• Charge before use – The battery pack supplied with your

ride-on SUV is only partially charged. The battery pack

has to be fully charged before using the product for the

first time.

• Battery Aging – Lithium-ion batteries are subject to a

natural aging process. The battery pack must be replaced

at the latest when its capacity falls to just 80% of its

capacity when new. Weakened cells in an aged battery

pack are no longer capable of meeting the high power

requirements needed for the proper operation of your ride-

on SUV, and therefore pose a safety risk.

• Do not exhaustively discharge battery packs –

A complete discharge will damage the battery cells. The

most common cause of exhaustive discharge is lengthy

storage. Stop working as soon as the performance of the

battery falls noticeably or the electronic protection system

triggers. For optimum battery performance, charge the

battery pack frequently. Place the battery pack in storage

only after it has been fully charged.

• Do not overload battery packs – Protect the product and

batteries from overloading. Overloads will quickly result in

overheating and cell damage inside the battery housing

even if it is not apparent externally. For safety reasons,

the integrated protective cutoff will activate to switch off

the equipment. After regular use, allow the battery pack

to cool to room temperature before inserting it into the

charger to recharge.

IMPORTANT! Do not attempt to turn on the product if the

protective cut-off has been activated. This may damage

the battery pack.

• Outlet voltage – Please check the data marked on the

rating plate of the battery charger. Be sure to connect the

battery charger to a power supply with the voltage marked

on the rating plate. Never connect it to a different mains

voltage.

• Charger use – Do not use the supplied battery charger to

charge other types of battery packs or tools.

• Do not overcharge battery packs – Do not exceed

the maximum charging times. Frequently overcharging

the battery pack will result in cell damage. Do not leave

batteries in the charger for days on end.

• Battery pack abnormalities – Do not use batteries that

have suffered swelling or deformation or those that exhibit

other atypical symptoms (gassing, hissing, cracking, etc.).

• Electrostatic discharge – When handling batteries, be

wary of electrostatic charge. Electrostatic discharges can

damage the electronic protection system and the battery

cells. To avoid electrostatic discharges, never touch the

battery terminals.

• Battery Installation – Ensure the battery pack is properly

seated in the battery compartment. If not properly

installed, the battery may some how fly out of the battery

compartment, out the hood, over the windshield and hit

the child in the unlikely event of a rollover.

1. Carefully remove the ride-on SUV and check to see that all

of the above items are supplied.

2. Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or

damage occurred during shipping. If you find damaged or

missing parts, DO NOT return the unit to the store. Please

call the Snow Joe® + Sun Joe® customer service center at

1-866-SNOWJOE (1-866-766-9563).

NOTE: Do not discard the shipping carton and packaging

material until you are ready to use the ride-on SUV. The

packaging is made of recyclable materials. Properly

dispose of these materials in accordance with local

regulations or save the packaging for long-term product

storage.

IMPORTANT! The equipment and packaging material are not

toys. Do not let children play with plastic bags, foils, or small

Battery + Charger Operation

The equipment is powered by a lithium-ion battery. The battery

pack is completely sealed and maintenance free.

Battery Charge Level Indicator

The battery pack is equipped with a push button for checking

thechargelevel.Simplypressthepushbuttontoreadothe

battery charge level from the LEDs of the battery indicator:

NOTE: If the battery indicator button does not appear to be

working, charge the battery.

NOTE: Immediately after using the battery pack, the battery

indicator button may display a lower charge than it will if

checked a few minutes later. The battery cells “recover” some

of their charge after resting.

mWARNING! Only charge Sun Joe® 24V lithium-ion

battery pack with compatible Sun Joe® 24V lithium-ion

chargers. Other types of chargers may cause personal injury

and damage.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not allow water to enter

into the charger.

Charging the Battery

1. Check that the mains voltage is the same as that marked

on the rating label of the battery charger. Then, plug the

charger into an AC power outlet. Slide the battery into the

charger to commence charging (Fig. 1).

NOTE: The green LED indicates either a powered on

charger or a fully charged battery. The red LED indicates a

charging battery.

2. Removethebatteryoncefullycharged.

NOTE: A fully discharged battery at room temperature will

fully charge in 1 hr 50 mins.

IMPORTANT! Never allow the battery pack to become

fully discharged as this will cause irreversible damage to

the battery.

Assembly

Wheel Assembly

Tools required: Philips head screwdriver

1. Turn the ride-on SUV upside down.

2. Fix the front axle assembly into the bottom of the ride-on

SUV using eight ST4

12 truss head screws.

NOTE: Ensure the steering column sits inside the slot in

the center of the front axle assembly (Fig. 2).

3. Slide a washer, a plastic bushing, a wheel, another washer

and finally a lock nut onto either side of the front axle.

Tighten both lock nuts using the socket wrenches before

installing the hub caps (Fig. 3).

4. Insert the springs and rear suspension mounts into the

holes towards the rear of the ride-on SUV (Fig. 4).

5. Push down on the rear suspension mounts and slide the

rear axle through both of them. Ensure the rear axle sits

under all four steel brackets and that the rear suspension

mounts are in tension (Fig. 5).

6. Screw both sprockets into the two remaining wheels using

three ST4

12 round head screws for each wheel (Fig. 6).

7. Slide a motor, a wheel, a washer and a lock nut onto either

sideoftherearaxle.Repeatfortheothersideandusethe

pair of socket wrenches to tighten both lock nuts at the

same time before installing the hub caps (Fig. 7).

NOTE:Themotorsaremarked(L)forleftand(R)forright

to indicate the side of the axle they need to be installed at.

8. Connect the motor cables to the motor controller (Fig. 8).

9. Place the seat over the motor compartment and secure

it on both corners using the two remaining ST4

12 truss

head screws (Fig. 9).

10. Connect the steering wheel cable before installing the

steering wheel onto the steering column (Fig. 10).

11. Connect the rear roll bar frame with both side roll bar

frames using two ST3

12 screws. Then push the entire

roll bar into the four holes next to the seat (Fig. 11).

12. Unscrew the two screws on each side of the dash and

then install both doors onto the ride-on SUV (Fig. 12).

13. Push the metal pivot arm of the door into the slot adjacent

to the dash. Then secure both doors with the screws

removed earlier (Fig. 13).

14. Insert the windshield and side-view mirrors into their

respective sockets (Fig. 14).

Operation

1. Unfasten both latches to open the hood. Insert the battery

into the battery compartment (Fig. 15).

2. Push the on/off button to turn on the ride-on SUV.

Driving

1. Fasten the 4-point racing harness.

2. Use the gear shift to toggle between the driving modes:

• Top–Drive

• Middle–Park

• Bottom–Reverse

3. Steponthegaspedaltoaccelerate.Releasethegas

pedal to brake. Use the steering wheel to turn.

1. Removethescrewonthebatterycoverandinstalltwo

AAA (1.5V) batteries.

NOTE: Batteries for the remote are not included.

2. Press the pairing button to connect the remote to the

ride-on SUV.

Care + Maintenance

mWARNING! Always switch the product off and remove

the battery before inspecting, cleaning, or performing any

other maintenance task.

mWARNING! Only perform the repairs and maintenance

work described in this manual. Any other work must be

performed by a qualified technician.

• Clean the product with a damp cloth. Use a brush for

areas that are hard to reach.

Storage

• Removethebatteryfromthetoolbeforestoring.

• Store the tool and its accessories in a dry, frost-free, and

well-ventilated place out of the reach of children.

• The ideal storage temperature is between 50ºF (10°C) and

86ºF (30°C).

Battery + Charger Storage

• Store the battery pack and charger at room temperature

and away from moisture. Do not store in damp locations

where the terminals may corrode.

• Permanent damage may occur if the pack is stored for

extended periods of time at high temperatures (over

120ºF/49ºC).

• Unplug the battery charger and battery pack when not in

use.Rechargethebatterypackevery6monthsto50%

capacity to maintain optimal battery performance.

Battery Caution + Disposal

Always dispose of your battery pack according to federal,

state, and local regulations. Contact a recycling agency in your

area for recycling locations.

mCAUTION! Even discharged battery packs contain

some energy. Before disposing, use electrical tape to cover the

terminals to prevent the battery pack from shorting, which may

cause a fire or explosion.

mWARNING! To reduce the risk of injury or explosion,

never burn or incinerate a battery pack even if it is damaged,

dead, or completely discharged. When burned, toxic fumes

and materials are emitted into the surrounding environment.

Recycling + Disposal

The product comes in a package that protects it against

damage during shipping. Keep the package until you are

sure that all parts have been delivered and the product is

functioningproperly.Recyclethepackageafterwardsorkeep

it for long-term storage.

WEEE symbol. Waste electrical products should not

be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle

where facilities exist. Check with your local authority

or local store for recycling regulations.

Snow Joe warrants new, genuine, powered and non-powered Products to be free from defects in material or workmanship when used

for ordinary household use for a period of two years from the date of purchase by the original, end-user purchaser when purchased

from Snow Joe or from one of Snow Joe’s authorized sellers with proof of purchase. Because Snow Joe is unable to control the quality

of its Products sold by unauthorized sellers, unless otherwise prohibited by law, this Warranty does not cover Products purchased from

unauthorized sellers. If your Product does not work or there’s an issue with a specic part that is covered by the terms of this Warranty,

Snow Joe will elect to either (1) send you a free replacement part, (2) replace the Product with a new or comparable product at no charge,

or (3) repair the Product. How cool is that!

Instrucciones de seguridad

para la batería y el cargador

Prestamos mucha atención al diseño de cada batería para

garantizar la producción de baterías seguras y durables, con

una alta densidad de energía. Las celdas de la batería tienen

varios dispositivos de seguridad. Cada celda individual es

inicialmente formateada y sus curvas eléctricas características

son registradas. Estos datos son luego usados exclusivamente

para ensamblar las mejores baterías posibles.

Independientemente de todas las precauciones de seguridad,

se debe tener mucho cuidado al manipular la batería. Las

siguientes instrucciones deben ser obedecidas en todo

momento para garantizar un uso seguro. Un uso seguro solo

encendedor de cigarrillos. Dicho uso indebido dañará o

deshabilitará permanentemente la batería.

m ¡ADVERTENCIA! Para reducir el riesgo de un choque

eléctrico, desenchufe siempre el cargador antes de llevar a

cabo cualquier tarea de limpieza o mantenimiento. No permita

que entre agua dentro del cargador. Use un interruptor de

circuito por falla a tierra (GFCI) para reducir el riesgo de un

choque eléctrico.

• Evite entornos peligrosos: no cargue la batería bajo la

lluvia o nieve, ni en lugares húmedos o mojados. No use

la batería ni el cargador en atmósferas explosivas (gases,

polvo o materiales inflamables) ya que al insertar o retirar

la batería se pueden generar chispas que causen un

incendio.

• Cargue en un área bien ventilada: no bloquee los

conductos de ventilación. Manténgalos despejados para

permitir una ventilación adecuada. No permita que se

fume o haya fuego abierto cerca de una batería siendo

cargada. Los gases presentes pueden explotar.

NOTA: el rango seguro de temperaturas para la batería

es de 41°F (5°C) a 105°F (40.5°C). No cargue la batería

en exteriores a temperaturas congelantes. Cárguela a

temperatura ambiente en interiores.

• Cuide el cable de alimentación del cargador: al

desenchufar el cargador tire del enchufe, no del cable de

alimentación, para desconectarlo del tomacorriente y así

evitar daños al cable de alimentación. Nunca levante el

cargador por el cable. Mantenga el cable alejado del calor,

grasas y bordes afilados. Asegúrese de que el cable no

sea pisado, que la gente no se tropiece con éste, ni que

esté sujeto a daños o tensiones mientras el cargador esté

siendo usado. No use un cargador con un cable o enchufe

dañado.Reemplaceuncargadordañadoinmediatamente.

• No use un cable de extensión a menos que sea

absolutamente necesario: usar un cable de extensión

incorrecto, dañado, o conectado de forma inapropiada

puede causar un incendio o choque eléctrico. Si se

debe usar un cable de extensión, conecte el cargador a

un cable de extensión de calibre 16 (o más grueso) de

alambrado adecuado, con el enchufe macho del cargador

encajando perfectamente en el enchufe hembra del cable

de extensión. Verifique que el cable de extensión esté en

buenas condiciones.

• Desenchufe el cargador cuando no esté siendo usado:

asegúrese de retirar las baterías de los cargadores

desenchufados.

• No exponga el producto o su batería al fuego: una

exposición al fuego o a temperaturas por encima de

los 265°F (130°C) puede hacer que la batería explote,

causando lesiones personales o daños materiales. Las

baterías generan sustancias y humos tóxicos al ser

quemadas.

• No triture, deje caer ni dañe la batería: no use la batería

ni el cargador si han sido severamente golpeados, se

han dejado caer desde una altura mayor de 3 pies (1 m),

se han aplastado, o se han dañado de cualquier forma.

Incluso si la carcasa de la batería parezca no tener daños,

las celdas dentro de la batería pueden haber sufrido

daños severos. En dichos casos, lea la información

de eliminación para deshacerse apropiadamente de la

batería.

• No desarme las baterías ni el cargador: un

reensamblado incorrecto puede presentar un riesgo

severo de choque eléctrico, fuego o exposición a

químicos tóxicos de la batería. Si la batería o el cargador

están dañados, contacte a un concesionario autorizado

• Los químicos de las baterías causan quemaduras

severas: nunca deje que una batería dañada haga

contacto con la piel, ojos o boca. Si la batería está

dañada, sus sustancias químicas reaccionarán

violentamente con el aire. Use guantes de hule o

neopreno para deshacerse de la batería de forma segura.

Si la piel es expuesta a las sustancias químicas de la

batería, lave el área afectada con agua y jabón. Si los

ojos son expuestos a los químicos, inmediatamente

enjuáguelos con agua durante 20 minutos y busque

atenciónmédica.Quíteseydeshágasedelasvestimentas

contaminadas.

• Riesgo de cortocircuito: una batería puede hacer

cortocircuito si un objeto metálico hace conexión entre

los contactos positivo y negativo de la batería. No

coloque una batería cerca de objetos que puedan causar

un cortocircuito tales como monedas, sujetapapeles,

tornillos, clavos, llaves u otros objetos metálicos. Una

batería cortocircuitada representa un riesgo de incendio y

lesiones personales severas.

• Solo adultos: la batería debe ser manipulada y cargada

solo por adultos. Nunca permita que los niños tengan

acceso a la batería.

• Guarde su batería y cargador en un lugar fresco y

seco: idealmente, guarde la batería a 59°F (15°C) y

cargada al menos a un 40%. No guarde la batería ni el

cargador donde la temperatura puedan exceder los 105ºF

(40.5ºC), como bajo la luz directa del sol o dentro de un

vehículo, o donde la temperatura pueda caer por debajo

de los 41°F (5°C).

NOTA: evite que la batería se congele. Las baterías

almacenadas a temperaturas menores de 32°F (0°C) por

más de una hora deberán ser desechadas.

• Cargue antes del uso: la batería suministrada con su

SUV para niños está cargada solo de forma parcial. La

batería tiene que ser cargada por completo antes de usar

el producto por primera vez.

• Desgaste de la batería: las baterías de iones de litio

están sujetas a un proceso natural de desgaste. Una

batería debe ser reemplazada a más tardar cuando

su capacidad caiga a un 80% de su capacidad inicial,

cuando estaba nueva. Las celdas debilitadas en una

batería gastada no cumplirán con los requisitos de alta

potencia necesarios para la operación adecuada de su

SUV para niños y, por tanto, representan un riesgo de

seguridad.

• No descargue la batería de forma exhaustiva: una

descarga completa dañará las celdas de la batería.

La causa más común de descarga exhaustiva es

un almacenamiento prolongado. Deje de trabajar

tan pronto como el rendimiento de la batería caiga

considerablemente o se active el sistema de protección

electrónico. Para un rendimiento óptimo de la batería,

cárguela de forma frecuente. Almacene la batería

únicamente luego de haberla cargado por completo.

• No sobrecargue las baterías: proteja el producto y

las baterías contra las sobrecargas. Las sobrecargas

causarán rápidamente un sobrecalentamiento y daños a

las celdas dentro de la batería, incluso si no es aparente

por fuera. Por motivos de seguridad, el sistema interruptor

de corte de protección se activará para apagar el equipo.

Después de un uso regular, permita que la batería se

enfríe a temperatura ambiente antes de insertarla en el

cargador para su recarga.

¡IMPORTANTE! No intente arrancar el SUV para niños

si su sistema interruptor de corte de protección ha sido

activado. Esto puede dañar la batería.

• Voltaje de tomacorriente: verifique la información

indicada en la placa de especificaciones del cargador de

baterías. Asegúrese de conectar el cargador de baterías a

una fuente de alimentación que tenga el voltaje indicado

en su placa de especificaciones. Nunca lo conecte a una

fuente de alimentación con un voltaje distinto al indicado.

• Uso del cargador: no use el cargador de baterías

suministrado para cargar otros tipos de baterías o

herramientas.

• No sobrecargue las baterías: no exceda los tiempos

máximos de carga. Una sobrecarga frecuente de la batería

causará daños a las celdas de la batería. No deje la

batería en el cargador por días enteros.

• Anormalidades de la batería: no use una batería que

se haya deformado o hinchado, o una que muestre

otros síntomas atípicos tales como liberación de gases,

zumbidos, grietas, etc.

• Descarga electrostática: al manipular una batería, tenga

cuidado con las descargas electrostáticas. Las descargas

electrostáticas pueden dañar el sistema electrónico

de protección y las celdas de la batería. Para evitar las

descargas electrostáticas, nunca toque los terminales de

la batería.

• Instalación de la batería: asegúrese de que la batería

esté instalada correctamente en el compartimiento de la

batería. Si no está instalada de forma adecuada, la batería

puede salir disparada del compartimiento de la batería,

fuera del capó, por sobre el parabrisas, y golpear al niño

en un improbable evento de un vuelco.

Operación de la batería y el

cargador

La unidad es alimentada por una batería de iones de litio.

La batería está completamente sellada y no requiere de

mantenimiento.

Indicadores de nivel de carga de batería

La batería tiene un botón para comprobar su nivel de carga.

Simplemente presione el botón para leer el nivel de carga de la

batería en los LED indicadores de la batería:

La batería está cargada por completo.

NOTA: si el botón indicador de batería no parece estar

funcionando, cargue la batería.

NOTA: inmediatamente luego del uso de la batería, el botón

indicador de batería puede mostrar una carga más baja que la

que se mostrará algunos minutos después. Las celdas de las

baterías “recuperan” parte de su carga luego de permanecer

inactivas.

m ¡ADVERTENCIA! Cargue la batería de iones de

litio de 24 V Sun Joe® solo con un cargador de baterías de

iones de litio de 24 V Sun Joe® compatible. Otros tipos de

cargadores pueden causar lesiones personales y daños.

Para reducir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, no permita que

entre agua al cargador.

Carga de la batería

1. Compruebe que el voltaje de la red sea el mismo que

el indicado en la etiqueta de especificaciones del

cargador de baterías. Luego, enchufe el cargador en un
