FITTING
A. Attach the clips on either side of your goggle
strap.
We recommend placing the speakers in
front of the ears, resting against your
temple bones for ideal clarity.
B. Clip the back of the device to the top strap of
your goggles.
It is important that this part of the device
remains on top of the head and out of the
water while swimming.
If the back of the device goes
underwater, the Bluetooth® connection
will be temporarily lost. If the device
resurfaces within 3 minutes it will
automatically reconnect.
CARE | Must be done to maintain optimal performance
A. Important!
Failure to dry and clean device regularly may cause chemical build-up and
compromise functionality.
B. Daily Maintenance
Rinse with fresh water after every use.
Pat dry and store in safe, cool, dry environment.
Do not place in direct sunlight to dry. This may cause damage to the casing,
battery and charging pins.
C. Weekly Maintenance
Clean contacts on back of device using a soft cotton swab or toothbrush and
rubbing alcohol.
D. Waterproof IPX8
Tested to perform at a depth of 3 meters (10 feet) for 30 minutes. If
immersion at 3 meters (10 feet), or deeper, occurs for longer than 30
minutes, damage may occur.

CHARGING
A. Plug the charging cable directly into the
bottom of the device and connect to a
computer’s USB port.
B. A solid Red light indicates that the device
is charging.
Total charge time is 2 hours.
D. A solid Blue light indicates that the device
is fully charged.
E. Full battery lasts up to 4 hours depending
on usage and settings.
ON/OFF
A. To POWER ON: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
The Red and Blue lights will double flash with Tone 1.
B. To POWER OFF: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
The Red and Blue lights will triple flash with Tone 2.
STAND BY MODE
A. After powering on, the device will automatically connect to a previously paired smart
device.
B. If no previously paired smart device is found the blue light will rapidly flash for 3
minutes to indicate that the Bluetooth® is searching.
C. If the device does not connect, it will then go into Stand-By mode and the Blue light
will flash every 5 seconds.
D. The device will Auto Shut off if there is no action for an additional 2 minutes.

FIRST TIME PAIRING
A. On your Coach Communicator:
Press and hold the Bluetooth® button for 3
seconds.
The Blue light will rapid flash with Tone 3.
B. On your iPhone:
A. Turn Bluetooth® on in your settings.
B. Allow FINIS to pair with your iPhone.
C. Once paired, the device will appear in your phone’s
Bluetooth® settings under ‘My Devices’ as FINIS XXXX
(4 digit unique identifier)
D. On the device, a solid Blue light will indicate that the
device is successfully paired.
PREVIOUSLY PAIRED
A. Previously paired Coach Communicators will
automatically connect.
GETTING STARTED WITH MICROPHONE APPS
A. Download Bluetooth® microphone app and follow app
instruction. For an up to date list of recommended
apps follow this link.
B. Speak into the microphone – the Blue & Red lights will
flash to indicate that your voice can be heard through
the Coach Communicator speakers.
C. Adjust the volume on your coach communicator or
smart device.
