Safety information
Electrical connection
Special regulations apply to electrical installation in outdoor areas. Only allow a qualified elec-
trician to perform the electrical installation.
The qualified electrician has the required professional training, knowledge and skills to per-
form electrical installations in outdoor areas. The qualified electrician can detect potential
risks and adheres to regional and national standards, regulations and directives.
For your own safety, please consult a qualified electrician.
Install the transformer or the power pack at a minimum safety distance of 2 m (6.6 ft) from the
water.
Only connect the unit if the electrical data of the unit and the power supply match.
Only connect the device to a correctly installed socket.
The device is to be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual op-
erating current not exceeding 30 mA.
Extension cables and power distributors (e.g. outlet strips) must be suitable for outdoor use
(splash-proof).
Protect open plugs and sockets from moisture.
Safe operation
Never look directly into the light source of the unit.
Do not use the unit, if electrical lines or the housing are damaged.
Dispose of the unit if its power connection cable is damaged. The power connection cable can-
not be replaced.
Do not carry or pull the unit by its power cable.
Route lines so that they are protected from damage and nobody can trip over them.
Never make technical modifications to the unit.
Only carry out work on the unit that is described in this manual.
Only use original spare parts and accessories.
Should problems occur, please contact the authorized customer service or OASE.
WARNING
Serious injury or death due to dangerous electrical voltage is possible with an electrical device in
water operated with a voltage U > 12 V AC or U > 30 V DC.
Disconnect all electrical devices in the water from the power supply before reaching into the
water.
Disconnect the device from the power supply before starting work on the unit.

WARNING
In the event of improper connection of the unit grounding, there is a risk of electric shock.
The unit must be grounded in order for the electrical current to be dissipated via the grounding
and to reduce the risk of electric shock in the event of a malfunction or failure.
Instructions for grounding:
The unit is equipped with a mains cable with grounding conductor and a plug with grounding
pin. The plug must be plugged into a suitable socket, which is installed and grounded accord-
ing to local regulations and ordinances and is protected by a FI protection switch (GFCI).
Do not modify the plug. Have a suitable socket installed by an electrician if the plug does not
fit into the socket.
Contact an electrician if you have any doubts as to whether the appliance is properly
grounded.
Intended use
Only use the product described in this manual as follows:
As a water feature for permanent installation in ponds or water vessels.
For use in swimming ponds if the national regulations for installers are met.
Only operate with the original power pack.
In compliance with the technical specifications. (Technical data)
Only subject to adherence to the permissible water quality values. (Permissible water values)
The following restrictions apply to the unit:
Never use the unit with fluids other than water.
Never run the unit without water.
Do not use in conjunction with chemicals, foodstuff, easily flammable or explosive substances.
Do not use for commercial or industrial purposes.

Installation and connection
Installation planning
The water features can be installed submerged and are also suitable for dry installation.
With submerged installation, the nozzle must protrude at least 3.2 in (8 cm) from the water.
Operate the pump only when it is covered with at least 4 in (10 cm) of water. Otherwise, it may
draw air.
WJL0005
WJL0004
EN
9
Fitting the water feature
Mount the unit on a firm ground, e.g. sidewalk slab. (The assembly material is not included in
the scope of delivery.)
Ensure a safe, horizontal position.
WJL0006
Fitting the pump
NOTE
If the pump is used for conveying excessively muddy water, the impeller unit will be subject to
increased wear and will require earlier replacement.
Thoroughly clean the pond or pool before installing the pump.
Install the pump at a raised level above the bottom of the pond. This reduces intake of muddy
water.
Install the pump housing horizontally on a firm, mud-free surface. Ensure that the pump hous-
ing is securely positioned.
Operate the pump only when it is covered with at least 4 in (10 cm) of water. Otherwise, it may
draw air.
WJL0005
10
Connecting the hose
For optimal water arches, we recommend hose lengths between 6.6 and 9.8 ft (2 and 3 m).
WJL0007
EN
11
Fitting the control box
Position the control box and the power pack protected from direct sunlight. The distance to
the water must be more than 6.6 ft (2 m).
If the ground is soft, the control box can be anchored to the ground with a ground stake.
Alternatively, the control box can be attached to a plate with suitable screw connectors. (The
screws are not included in the scope of delivery.)
WJL0008
12
Establishing the connections
WARNING
The power supply carries dangerous electrical voltage and must not be placed directly near wa-
ter. Otherwise, there is a risk of serious injury or death from electric shock.
Install the power supply in a flood-protected position at a distance of at least 6.6 ft (2 m) from
the water.
WJL0009
If only one Water Jet Lightning is to be connected, the free connection on the control box
must be terminated with the jumper plug.
EN
13
Commissioning/start-up
NOTE
Never connect the control box to a dimmer. This will destroy the control box.
NOTE
Never allow the pump to run dry. This will destroy the pump.
Only operate the pump when it is submerged or flooded.
Switching ON/OFF
Switching on: Plug the power plug into the outlet.
The unit switches on immediately.
Switching off: Pull the power plug from the outlet.

Operation
The control box is operated by radio via a 2-channel hand-held transmitter.
The hand-held transmitter has a range of max. 260 ft (80 m). Obstacles between hand-held
transmitter and control box, a low battery in the hand-held transmitter or electro-magnetic ra-
diation of electrical equipment will impair the range.
When the control box is switched on (power plug inserted), the hand-held transmitter can be
used to sequentially select 4 pre-programmed water feature images. After switching on the unit,
program 1 is automatically activated.

Maintenance and cleaning
NOTE
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions. These agents can damage the
housing, impair the function of the device and harm animals, plants and the environment.
Clean the unit with clean water and a soft brush or sponge wherever possible. Remove stub-
born dirt with the aid of the recommended cleaning agents.
Cleaning the unit
Clean the unit as required, but at least twice a year.
Recommended cleaning agent for removing stubborn limescale deposits:
Vinegar- and chlorine-free household cleaning agent.
After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water.
Disassemble the water feature
Pull the power plug and remove all connections.
Dismantle the unit as shown in the figure.

Changing the battery
NOTE
Electrical components can be destroyed by static discharge or moisture.
Avoid touching electrical components or conductors. If this is unavoidable, discharge yourself
from static charge beforehand by grounding yourself briefly, for example, on a bare heating
pipe.
Protect the interior of the housing from dirt and moisture.
WTO0016
Storage/overwintering
Remove the Water Jet components at temperatures below zero degrees centigrade.
Before storage, perform a thorough cleaning, check all components for damage.
Store the Water Jets and pump frost-free and immersed in a container filled with water. Do
not immerse the plugs.
