CONNECTING THE RADIO
PLUG THE AC CORD INTO THE POWER OUTLET.
NOTE: WHEN THE ELECTRICAL POWER HAS BEEN INTERRUPTED FOR A
PROLONGED TIME AND RESTORED THE CLOCK DISPLAY WILL BLINK.
MAKE SURE TO RESET BOTH THE TIME AND ALARM TIME FOR
PROPER OPERATION.
TIME SETTING
1. PRESS AND HOLD THE TIME BUTTON.
2. WHILE HOLDING THE TIME BUTTON PRESS THE MINUTE OR HOUR BUTTON
TO ADVANCE THE CLOCK DISPLAY TO THE CORRECT TIME.
3. RELEASE THE TIME BUTTON.
RADIO OPERATION
1. SLIDE THE ON-OFF-AUTO SWITCH TO THE “ON” POSITION.
2. SELECT THE DESIRED BAND WITH THE BAND SWITCH.
3. ADJUST THE TUNING AND VOLUME DIAL FOR THE DESIRED STATION AND
LISTENING VOLUME LEVEL.
SETTING THE ALARM TIME
1. SELECT EITHER AL1 OR AL2 ON THE ALARM SELECTOR TO DETERMINE
WHICH ALARM YOU ARE SETTING.
2. PRESS AND HOLD THE ALARM BUTTON.
3. WHILE HOLDING THE ALARM BUTTON PRESS THE
FAST / AL. OFF
OR
SLOW BUTTON TO ADVANCE TO THE DESIRED ALARM TIME.
4. RELEASE THE ALARM BUTTON.
5. SELECT EITHER AL1 OR AL2. SELECT AL1+AL2 IF YOU WANT BOTH THE AL1
AND AL2 ALARM SETTINGS TO BE ACTIVE.
6. TURN THE ON-OFF-AUTO SWITCH TO AUTO.
TO WAKE TO ALARM
TURN THE ALARM/VOLUME DIAL TO THE LEFT UNTIL A CLICK IS HEARD, NOW THE
VOLUME IS SET TO OFF AND THE ALARM BUZZER IS ACTIVATED. TO TURN OFF
THE ALARM, PRESS THE ALARM SET BUTTON (4) ONCE. THE ALARM WILL BE
DEACTIVATED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY. TO COMPLETELY TURN OFF THE
ALARM, TURN THE ON-OFF-AUTO SWITCH TO OFF.
TO WAKE TO RADIO
1. TURN THE ALARM/VOLUME CONTROL COUNTER-CLOCKWISE TO THE MAX
VOLUME POSITION.
2. SLIDE THE BAND SWITCH TO AM OR FM.
3. USE THE TUNING DIAL TO SELECT THE DESIRED RADIO STATION.
4. ADJUST THE VOLUME LEVEL TO YOUR PREFERENCE.
5. SET THE ON/OFF/AUTO SWITCH TO THE AUTO POSITION.
NOTE: BOTH ALARM 1 AND ALARM 2 MUST WAKE TO THE SAME SOURCE,
EITHER RADIO OR ALARM.
SLEEP TIMER
1. MAKE SURE THE ON/OFF/AUTO SWITCH IS NOT IN THE ON POSITION,
OTHERWISE THE CLOCK RADIO WILL NOT TURN OFF AFTER THE SLEEP
PERIOD EXPIRES.
2. PRESS THE SLEEP BUTTON ONCE TO HAVE THE RADIO PLAY FOR 59
MINUTES BEFORE AUTOMATICALLY SHUTTING OFF.
3. SETTING THE LENGTH OF SLEEP TIMER
(i) TO SET THE SLEEP TIMER FOR LESS THAN 59 MINUTES, PRESS AND
HOLD THE SLEEP BUTTON UNTIL THE DESIRED TIME IS SHOWN AND
THEN RELEASE THE BUTTON.
(ii) TO CANCEL THE SLEEP TIMER BEFORE THE SLEEP TIME EXPIRES,
PRESS THE SENSOR TOUCH SNOOZE BAR ONCE.
SENSOR TOUCH SNOOZE OPERATION
WHEN THE ALARM IS ON. PRESS SNOOZE SENSOR PLATE (8) ONCE AND AFTER 9
MINUTES THE ALARM WILL SOUND AGAIN.
NIGHTLIGHT OPERATION
PRESS THE NIGHTLIGHT ON/OFF SWITCH TO THE “ON” POSITION. THE NIGHT
LIGHT WILL TURN ON. IF THE LIGHT STOPS WORKING, YOU CAN REPLACE IT BY
SCREWING OUT THE CURRENT BULB AND REPLACING IT WITH A NEW E10 TYPE
LIGHT BULB. TO ACCESS THE LIGHT BULB, REMOVE THE NIGHT LIGHT COVER.
BATTERY BACK UP
THIS CLOCK HAS A BACKUP POWER SYSTEM TO ENSURE CONTINUOUS
OPERATION DURING A POWER FAILURE. INSERT A 9 VOLT ALKALINE BATTERY
(NOT INCLUDED) AND THE CLOCK MECHANISM WILL CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN
CURRENT TIME AND ALARM PROGRAM.
NOTE: DURING THE BACKUP POWER PHASE THE DISPLAY WILL BE OFF
TO CONSERVE ELECTRICITY.
SAFETY
THIS RADIO IS NOT WATERPROOF, SO AVOID CONTACT WITH WATER AND
OTHER LIQUIDS. HANDLE WITH CARE. DO NOT LEAVE THE RADIO IN A DUSTY,
HOT OR HUMID PLACE.

We appreciate your purchase of a SYLVANIA Home Entertainment product. We take
pride in the quality of our products and have manufactured your new Home Entertainment
unit to exacting quality standards. We feel confident that in normal use, it will provide you
with satisfactory performance. However, should you experience difficulty, you are
protected under the provisions of this warranty.
SYLVANIA Home Entertainment products are warranted against manufacturing defects in
materials and workmanship in normal use for the following period from the date of
purchase by the original user, and is conditional upon the unit being installed and used as
directed in the instruction manual.

SYLVANIA's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to the repair, including all
necessary parts and the cost of the labour connected therewith, or at our option the
exchange of any Home Entertainment product which shows evidence of a manufacturing
defect within the warranty period.
Replacement parts, furnished in connection with this warranty shall be warranted for a
period equal to the unexpired portion of the original equipment warranty.
CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS
This warranty applies to the product from the original date of purchase at retail. Therefore,
the owner must provide a copy of the original, dated bill of sale. No warranty service will
be performed without a bill of sale. Transportation to and from the service depot is the
responsibility of the owner.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty is extended to SYLVANIA Home Entertainment products purchased and
used in Canada. This warranty shall not apply to appearance or accessory items including
but not limited to: antenna, cabinet, cabinet parts, knobs, batteries, connecting cables,
cassette tapes, compact discs.
This warranty shall, in addition, not apply to damages due to handling, transportation,
unpacking, set-up, installation, customer adjustments that are covered in the instruction
book, repair or replacement of parts supplied by other than the SYLVANIA authorized
service depot, any malfunction or failure caused by or resulting from abnormal
environmental conditions, improper unauthorized service, improper maintenance,
modifications or repair by the consumer, abuse, misuse, neglect, accident, fire, flood, or
other Acts of God, and incorrect line voltage.
This Home Entertainment product is only warranted to the original retail purchaser. This
warranty becomes void in the event of commercial or rental use. This warranty becomes
void in the event serial numbers are altered, defaced or removed.
SYLVANIA reserves the right to make changes in design or to make additions to or
improvements upon this product without incurring any obligation to install the same on
products previously manufactured. The foregoing is in lieu of all other warranties
expressed or implied and SYLVANIA neither assumes nor authorizes any person to
assume for it any other obligation or liability in connection with the sale or service of this
product. In no event shall SYLVANIA or its SYLVANIA dealers be liable for special or
consequential damage arising from the use of this product, or for any delay in the
performance of this warranty due to cause beyond our control.
The purchaser may have other rights under existing provincial or federal laws, and where
any terms of this warranty are prohibited by such laws, they are deemed null and void, but
the remainder of the warranty shall remain in effect.

3. EN MAINTENANT LA TOUCHE DE L’ALARME ENFONCÉE, APPUYEZ SUR LA
TOUCHE ‘FAST/AL. OFF’ OU SUR LA TOUCHE ‘SLOW’ POUR AVANCER À
L’HEURE DE L'ALARME DÉSIRÉE.
4. RELÂCHEZ LA TOUCHE DE L’ALARME.
5. SÉLECTIONNEZ SOIT ‘AL1’ OU ‘AL2’ OU ‘AL1+AL2’ SI VOUS DÉSIREZ QUE LES
DEUX ALARMES ‘AL1’ ET ‘AL2’ SOIENT ACTIVES.
6. RÉGLEZ LE COMMUTATEUR ‘ON-OFF-AUTO’ À LA POSITION ‘AUTO’.
SE RÉVEILLER AU SON DE L’ALARME
RÉGLEZ LE COMMUTATEUR ‘ALARM/VOLUME DIAL’ VERS LA GAUCHE JUSQU’À CE
QUE VOUS ENTENDIEZ UN CLIC, MAINTENANT, LE VOLUME EST RÉGLÉ À LA
POSITION HORS FONCTION ET L’ALARME EST EN FONCTION. POUR METTRE
L’ALARME HORS FONCTION, APPUYEZ UNE FOIS SUR LA TOUCHE ‘ALARM SET’ (4).
L'ALARME SERA DÉSACTIVÉE JUSQU’AU JOUR SUIVANT. POUR METTRE L’ALARME
COMPLÈTEMENT HORS FONCTION, METTEZ LE COMMUTATEUR ‘ON-OFF-AUTO’ À
LA POSITION ‘OFF’.
SE RÉVEILLER AU SON DE LA RADIO
1. TOURNEZ LA COMMANDE ‘ALARM/VOLUME’ DANS LE SENS ANTIHORAIRE À
LA POSITION DE VOLUME MAXIMAL.
2. GLISSEZ LE COMMUTATEUR DES BANDES ‘BAND’ À LA POSITION ‘AM’ OU ‘FM’.
3. UTILISEZ LE POINTEUR DE SYNTONISATION POUR SÉLECTIONNER LA STATION
DÉSIRÉE.
4. RÉGLEZ LE NIVEAU DE VOLUME À LA POSITION DÉSIRÉE.
REMARQUE :
L’ALARME 1 ET L’ALARME 2 DOIVENT TOUTES DEUX RÉVEILLER À PARTIR DE
LA MÊME SOURCE, SOIT RADIO OU ALARME.
5. RÉGLER LE COMMUTATEUR ‘ON/OFF/AUTO’ À LA POSITION AUTO.
NOTE: L’ALARME 1 ET 2 DOIVENT RÉVEILLER DE LA MÊE SOURCE, SOIT
RADIO OU ALARME.
MINUTERIE-SOMMEIL
1. ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE LE COMMUTATEUR ‘ON-OFF-AUTO’ SOIT RÉGLÉ À LA
POSITION ‘ON’, SINON, LE RADIO-RÉVEIL NE SE METTRA PAS HORS FONCTION
LORSQUE LA MINUTERIE-SOMMEIL SERA TERMINÉE.
2. APPUYEZ UNE FOIS SUR LA TOUCHE ‘SLEEP’ POUR QUE LA RADIO SOIT
ENTENDUE PENDANT 59 MINUTES AVANT DE SE METTRE AUTOMATIQUEMENT
HORS FONCTION.
3. RÉGLER LA DURÉE DE LA MINUTERIE-SOMMEIL
(I) POUR RÉGLER LA MINUTERIE-SOMMEIL POUR MOINS DE 59 MINUTES,
APPUYEZ SUR LA TOUCHE ‘SLEEP’ ET MAINTENEZ-LA ENFONCÉE JUSQU’À
CE QUE L’HEURE DÉSIRÉE SOIT AFFICHÉE ET RELÂCHEZ LA TOUCHE.
(II) POUR ANNULER LA MINUTERIE-SOMMEIL AVANT LA FIN, APPUYEZ UNE FOIS
SUR LA TOUCHE DE PROLONGATION DU SOMMEIL.
FONCTIONNEMENT DU CAPTEUR DE PROLONGATION DU SOMMEIL
LORSQUE L’ALARME EST EN FONCTION, APPUYEZ UNE FOIS SUR LA BARRE DE
PROLONGATION DU SOMMEIL (8) ET L’ALARME RETENTIRA À NOUVEAU APRÈS 9
MINUTES.
FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA VEILLEUSE
APPUYEZ SUR LE COMMUTATEUR ‘NIGHTLIGHT ON/OFF’ ET RÉGLEZ-LE À LA
POSITION ‘ON’. LA VEILLEUSE S’ALLUMERA. SI LA VEILLEUSE CESSE DE
FONCTIONNER, VOUS POUVEZ REMPLACER L’AMPOULE AVEC UNE NOUVELLE
AMPOULE DE TYPE E10. POUR ACCÉDER À L’AMPOULE, RETIREZ LE COUVERCLE
DE LA VEUILLEUSE.
PILE DE SAUVEGARDE
CE RADIO-RÉVEIL EST DOTÉ D’UN SYSTÈME DE SAUVEGARDE POUR VOUS
ASSURER D’UN FONCTIONNEMENT CONTINU. INSÉREZ UNE PILE ALCALINE DE 9 V
(NON INCLUSE) ET LE MÉCANISME DE L’HORLOGE MAINTIENDRA L’HEURE ET LA
PROGRAMMATION DE L'ALARME.
REMARQUE :
PENDANT UNE PANNE DE COURANT, L’AFFICHAGE SERA HORS FONCTION AFIN DE
CONSERVER L’ÉNERGIE.

L'obligation de SYLVANIA, en vertu des clauses de cette garantie, est limitée à la réparation, y
compris le remplacement des pièces et le coût de la main-d'oeuvre pertinente, ou à notre discrétion, au
remplacement de tout appareil de divertissement domestique qui présente des défauts de fabrication
pendant la période de garantie. Les pièces de rechange fournies en rapport avec cette garantie sont
couvertes pendant une période égale à la portion résiduelle de la garantie de l'équipement original.
OBLIGATIONS DU CLIENT
L'appareil est couvert par la garantie à partir de la date de l'achat initial au détail. Par conséquent, le
propriétaire de l'appareil doit présenter la facture originale affichant clairement la date.
Aucun service ne sera effectué sans présentation de la facture. Le propriétaire est seul responsable de
l'expédition de l'appareil à destination et en provenance du centre de
service.
EXCLUSIONS DE LA GARANTIE
Cette garantie ne s'applique qu'aux appareils de divertissement domestique de SYLVANIA achetés et
utilisés au Canada. Cette garantie ne s'applique ni à l'apparence ni aux accessoires y compris, mais ne
s’y limitant pas, aux antennes, boîtier, pièces du boîtier, boutons, piles, couvercles, câbles de raccord,
cassettes et disques compacts. En outre, cette garantie ne s'applique pas non plus aux dommages
causés par ou survenus lors de la manutention, le transport, le déballage, l'installation, les réglages
effectués par le client et mentionnés dans le guide d’utilisation, les réparations ou le remplacement
des pièces fournies par un service autre que le Centre de Service et de Réparations de SYLVANIA, à
tout mauvais fonctionnement ou toute panne causée par ou résultant de conditions environnementales
anormales, de réparations inadéquates effectuées par un service non autorisé, un entretien inadéquat,
des réparations ou modifications effectuées par le client, de mauvais traitements ou un
fonctionnement inadéquat, la négligence, un accident, un incendie, une inondation ou tout autre cas
de force majeure, incluant le branchement à un circuit à tension incorrecte.
La garantie de cet appareil de divertissement domestique ne s'applique qu'à l'acheteur au détail initial.
Cette garantie est nulle en cas d'utilisation commerciale de l'appareil ou à des fins de location, ou si
les numéros de série ont été modifiés, égratignés ou effacés.
SYLVANIA se réserve le droit de changer le concept, de faire des modifications ou des améliorations
à cet appareil, sans avoir l'obligation d'effectuer les mêmes changements aux appareils fabriqués
auparavant.
Ce qui précède remplace toute autre garantie explicite ou implicite et SYLVANIA n'assume aucune
responsabilité ni n’autorise quiconque d'accepter en son nom toute obligation ou responsabilité liée à
la vente, à l'entretien ou aux réparations de ce produit.
