CLEANING: Before cleaning your fixture, turn off the switch or power source.
Wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth.

READ INSTRUCTIONS AND REVIEW ALL DIAGRAMS BEFORE
INSTALLING FIXTURE. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes,
ordinances and the Canadian Electrical Code.
2. These xtures should be mounted on an electrical outlet box. The box must be
directly supported by the building stucture.
3. Turn off the circuit breaker or remove the appropriate fuse to disconnect
power source before installing xture.
4. Turning the light switch off to cut the power is not sufcient to prevent electric
shock. When in doubt about the safety of any electrical installation or repair,
consult a qualied electrician.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN ASSEMBLY
MAKE SURE ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT
Compare all pieces to the parts and hardware lists, and
make sure you have all tools required for assembly.
REMOVE PACKAGING MATERIALS
Place packing materials back in the box. Do not dispose of
packaging materials until assembly is complete.

ASSEMBLE IN A CLEARED AREA
Place all parts from the box on the floor in front of you on a clean,
dry, level surface to protect the product as it is being built.

Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position.
Depending on which type of fuse box you have in your home:
• Place either the main (Master) switch in
the “OFF” position, cutting off power
to your entire home, OR turn off the
individual switch that provides power to
where the xture will be installed.
• Place either the main (Master) switch in
the “OFF” position, cutting off power to
the entire home, OR unscrew the fuse
that provides power to where the xture
will be installed.
NOTE: Shutting off a wall switch that
controls the light is not sufcient to
prevent electric shock.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Remove the mounting plate C from the canopy of the fixture 1 by unscrewing the
decorative nuts E.
Attach the mounting plate C to the outlet box by securing with the outlet box screws A.
Place the canopy from the fixture 1 against the ceiling. Adjust the cords from the fixture 1
to the desired length by pulling any excess through the canopy.
Attach the white wire from the house to the white wire from the fixture 1 using one of the
included wire connectors B.
Then, attach the black wire from the house to the black wire from the fixture 1 the same
way.
Finally, connect the bare copper wire from the fixture 1 around the green screw on the
mounting plate, then connect it to the grounding conductor of the supply circuit using
the remaining wire connector B.

STEP 2
Align the mounting holes on the canopy 1 with the preassembled screws D on the
mounting plate C.
Position the fixture 1 in place, making sure all wires are secure inside the outlet box.
Screw the decorative nuts E onto the preassembled screws on the mounting plate C to
secure the canopy of the fixture 1.

NETTOYAGE : Avant de nettoyer votre luminaire, veuillez mettre l’interrupteur en
position d’arrêt ou débranchez le luminaire de la source d’alimentation. Essuyez le
luminaire avec un linge doux et humide.

1. Cette lampe portable est équipée d’une fiche polarisée (une lame est plus
large que l’autre) comme mesure de sécurité pour réduire le risque de choc
électrique.
2. Cette fiche ne peut être insérée dans une prise de courant polarisée que dans un seul
sens. Si la fiche ne s’insère pas complètement dans la prise de courant, inversez la fiche.
Si elle ne s’adapte toujours pas, contactez un électricien qualifié.
3. N’utilisez jamais l’article avec une rallonge à moins que la fiche ne puisse être
complètement insérée

VÉRIFIER QU’IL NE MANQUE AUCUNE PIÈCE
Comparez les listes des pièces aux éléments de quincaillerie pour vous assurer qu’il ne
manque rien, et assurez-vous d’avoir en main tous les outils nécessaires au montage.
RETIRER L’EMBALLAGE
Déposez le matériel d’emballage dans la boite. Ne jetez rien
avant d’avoir terminé le montage.
BIEN LIRE CHAQUE ÉTAPE
Assurez-vous de bien comprendre chaque étape. En cas de question, appelez le
au service à la clientèle de CANVASMC au 1 888 670-6684 (sans frais).
ASSEMBLER DANS UN ENDROIT DÉGAGÉ
Retirez les pièces de la boite et placez-les sur une surface plane
propre et sèche pour protéger le produit durant le montage.

INSTALLATION ÉLECTRIQUE

Placez l’interrupteur mural en position “OFF”.
Selon le type de boîte à fusibles que vous avez dans votre maison :
• Placez soit l’interrupteur principal (maître) en
position “OFF”, coupant l’alimentation de toute votre
maison, OU éteignez l’interrupteur individuel qui
alimente l’endroit où le luminaire sera installé.
• Placez soit l’interrupteur principal
(maître) en position “OFF”, coupant
l’alimentation de toute la maison, OU
dévissez le fusible qui alimente l’endroit
où le luminaire sera installé.
NOTE : L’arrêt d’un interrupteur mural qui
contrôle la lumière n’est pas sufsant pour
éviter un choc électrique.
AVERTISSEMENT: CONSULTER UN ÉLECTRICIEN QUALIFIÉ
POUR ASSURER QUE LE CONDUCTEUR DE CIRCUIT EST
CORRECT.

ÉTAPE 1
GUIDE ÉTAPE PAR ÉTAPE
Retirez la plaque de montage C de la verrière du luminaire 1 en dévissant les écrous
décoratifs E.
Fixez la plaque de montage C à l’aide des vis A de la boîte de sortie.
Placez le couvercle du luminaire 1 contre le plafond. Ajustez les cordons du luminaire 1 à
la longueur souhaitée en tirant l’excédent à travers le couvercle.
Fixez le fil blanc du boîtier au fil blanc du luminaire 1 à l’aide de l’un des connecteurs de fil
B fournis.
Fixez ensuite le fil noir du boîtier au fil noir du luminaire 1 tde la même manière. Enfin,
connectez le fil de cuivre nu du luminaire 1 autour de la vis verte sur la plaque de
montage, puis connectez-le au conducteur de mise à la terre du circuit d’alimentation à
l’aide du connecteur de fil restant B.
