Congratulations on purchasing WEXSTAR Infrared Heater. Developed by German and Austrian techni-

cians, WEXSTAR focuses on reaching the highest quality standards and optimal heating performance

with the lowest possible energy consumption. With the WEXSTAR infrared heater you will witness

the heat being distributed uniformly in the room and absorbed by objects and walls that release the

warmth back into the room. This creates an overall cozy and comfortable feeling of heat.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• The heating element must not be installed directly below a wall socket.

• The installation of an infrared heating element in special rooms (rooms with shower, bathtub

or swimming pool) as well as in public places may only be done by a specialized installation company

taking into account the appropriate standards and norms of the country concerned.

• The infrared heating element may only be connected to alternating current 120 Volt, 50Hz.

• The infrared heating element must not be exposed to excessive moisture.

• Do not put down objects on the infrared heating element and do not cover the infrared heating

element !! Attention: risk of overheating !!

• The infrared heating element is equipped with a safety temperature limiting device, which

turns oﬀ in case of overheating and automatically turns on again after cooling down.

• The plug needs to be switchable without tension at all times during operation by switch or thermostat.

• The minimum distance to other objects should be 20 inches (50 cm) away from the front, 8 inches (20

cm) to the sides and 8 inches (20 cm) upward and downward.

• For the installation of an infrared heating element on a brick or stone wall, only the holding and ﬁxing

material provided for it must be used. On other types of wall or masonry (as e.g. Rigips, wood, …)

please use suitable holding and ﬁxing material.

• In case of possible disassembly or transport allow the infrared heating element to completely cool

down.

• The infrared heating element is not meant to be handled by persons (children included) with reduced

physical, sensorial or mental faculties or without experience and/or knowledge, unless they are super-

vised by a person responsible for their safety or receive instructions on how to use the device.

• Children never see the danger, which can occur when dealing with electrical devices. So never leave

children alone with electrical devices. Keep out of reach of small children. If the device is installed in

children’s rooms or rooms accessible to children, make sure that the device is suspended 1.2m above

the ground.

• Do not try to repair the infrared heating element, the power cable cannot be replaced and must always

be returned to the manufacturer for repairs.

• DO NOT TOUCH THE HEATER’S SURFACE WHEN IT IS SWITCHED ON.

Instruction Manual

In this manual there is important information for the installation of your infrared heating element. You

have acquired an ecologic, economic heater and are thereby making an eﬀective contribution towards

saving the environment. This heater can be used with a thermostat.

The infrared heating system proves itself through simple installation, ﬂexibility in the assembling and

freedom from maintenance. So you can enjoy long use of your infrared heating element and to assure

your safety, please read carefully the instructions before installation.

Keep this manual at hand and never pass on this infrared heating element without the manual.

The infrared heating element does not work on the principle of convection heat but is rather a radiant

heater. Therefore, it is possible at the start-up that cold areas (furniture, walls, ceiling and ﬂoors) need

to be warmed up ﬁrst. If you don’t immediately have a comfortable feeling of warmth, then let the heater

run for several hours, or even several days if necessary, until a comfortable indoor climate has been

reached. As soon as the solid areas have warmed up, comfortable warmth will spread throughout the

room and then you can pare down the running time of your heater to the minimum.

BEFORE INITIAL START-UP

Read the safety instructions and the manual before use! Check the infrared heating element for visible damage

and whether the main voltage is in accordance with the voltage information on the type plate (verso). If you notice

damages on the element, do not use it – contact your specialist dealer.

We recommend that you not throw away the original package of the device. Store the original package for possible

transport.

START-UP

Install the infrared heating element with the delivered assembly kit and connect with the main cable!

ASSEMBLY

For the assembly please use the included drilling template with instructions.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

The infrared heating element is provided with a main plug. After having ﬁnished the assembly, connect to a 120 Volt,

60Hz socket. Room temperature controller can be included in the system by adapter plugs (socket thermostat) or in

case of a ﬁxed connection, consult an installation specialist to install a control – taking into account the appropriate

standards and norms of the country concerned.

CLEANING AND CARE

Before cleaning, always disconnect the main power plug. To clean you should use a smooth and damp cloth and a

little dish detergent. Never clean the infrared heating element and the power supply cables under running water, nor

submerse in water. Do not use harsh, abrasive or easily inﬂammable detergents.

The infrared heating element has to be disposed separately from general household waste at government places

provided for this purpose. You can obtain detailed information for disposal at the specialist dealer where the product

was purchased.

INSTALLATION KIT INCLUDED:

TO INSTALL YOUR HEATER YOU’LL NEED:

1. Use the template provided to mark the position

of the four holes on your wall. Position the template

on the wall and mark points on X (horizontal or

vertical depending on preference).

3. Using a medium sized Philips screwdriver,

attach the 2.5" (60mm) long screw to the drywall

anchor (four times). For masonry wall screw in the

screw into the masonry wall anchor.

2. Your heater unit includes mounting hardware for

either masonry or drywall installations.

Use a 7/32” (6 mm) drill bit to drill pilot holes for

the drywall or masonry anchors; however, if you

drill into a stud use a 1/8” (3 mm) and do not use

and anchor. On a drywall wall use a Phillips head

screwdriver to screw the drywall anchor into the

pilot hole, for masonry wall, push the masonry plug

into the pilot hole until it is ﬂushes with the wall.

4. Attach adhesive pads (+ sticker) to the four

matching areas on the back of the heater unit.

5. Align the four heater’s crosshairs on the four

screws attached to the wall and let them lock in

place.

6. Plug in to closest standard electrical 110v outlet.

You can also use the optional WEXSTAR Plug-in

thermostat for room temperature control.

Warranty:

WEXSTAR Electric Panel Heaters are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for three (3)

years from date of purchase. This warranty does not apply if damage or malfunction occurs due to accidents,

improper handling or operation, shipping damage, abuse, misuse, alterations, unauthorized repairs made or

attempted, damage by accident, theft, ﬁre, ﬂood, external causes such as, but not limited to, improper

installation of wiring, operation with connected voltage more than 5% greater than the nameplate voltage,

blown fuses, inadequate electrical power, or any use of the product not authorized by the manufacturer, and

normal wear and tear. The customer shall be responsible for all costs incurred in the removal or reinstallation

of the products including but not limited to labor costs and shipping costs to return the heater to WEXSTAR

Service center. Within the limitations of this warranty and the discretion of Spacio Innovations Inc., we will

repair or replace the heater.

You shall be responsible for any shipping & handling charges for both the return of your unit, and the sending

of a replacement unit, at the discretion of Spacio Innovations Inc.

Félicitations pour l'achat du chauﬀage infrarouge de WEXSTAR. Développé par des techniciens

Allemands et Autrichiens, WEXSTAR se concentre sur l'atteinte des standards de qualité les plus

élevés et des performances de chauﬀage optimales avec la consommation d'énergie la plus basse

possible. Avec le chauﬀage infrarouge de WEXSTAR, vous verrez la chaleur diﬀusée uniformément

dans la pièce et absorbée par les objets et les murs qui relâchent la chaleur dans la pièce. Cela crée

une sensation général agréable et confortable de la chaleur.

INDICATIONS DE SECURITE

• Ne pas brancher l’élément chauﬀant directement en dessous d’une prise de courant murale.

• L’installation d’un radiateur infrarouge dans des locaux spéciaux (locaux avec douche, baignoire ou pi

scine) ainsi que dans des lieux publics doit impérativement être faite par un installateur qualiﬁé selon les normes

et règlementations correspondantes du pays respectif. Ne pas placer des éléments chauﬀants mobiles près d’une

baignoire, douche ou piscine. Veuillez respecter les volumes et les distances de sécurité.

• Brancher votre radiateur infrarouge uniquement au courant alternatif 230V, 50Hz.

• Ne pas soumettre votre radiateur infrarouge à une trop haute humidité.

• Ne déposer aucun objet sur le radiateur infrarouge et ne pas le couvrir. ATTENTION: risque de surchauﬀe !!

• Le radiateur infrarouge est doté d’un régleur thermique de sécurité qui s’éteint en cas de surchauﬀe et se

rallume après refroidissement de l’appareil.

• La prise mâle doit pouvoir être mise hors tension, à tout moment pendant l’utilisation, par interrupteur ou ther

mostat.

• La distance minimale aux autres objets doit être de 50 cm en avant, 20 cm sur les côtés et 10 cm en bas et en

haut. Tous les modèles se terminant au C doit être installé sur le plafond seulement (1,8 m au-dessus du sol).

• Pour l’installation d’un radiateur infrarouge sur un support de murs en briques ou en pierres, utilisez uniquement

le matériel de support et de ﬁxation livré et prévu. En cas d’autres types de murs ou de cloison (comme p.ex. en

Placoplatre, bois, …) merci d’utiliser du matériel de support et de ﬁxation adapté.

• En cas de démontage éventuel ou de transport, laissez refroidir complètement l’élément chauﬀant à infrarouges.

• Le radiateur infrarouge n’est pas prévu pour être utilisé par des personnes (y compris des enfants) aux capacités

physiques, sensorielles ou mentales réduites ou manquant d’expériences et/ou de savoir-faire sauf si elles sont

surveillées par une personne responsable de la sécurité ou reçoivent d’elle l’instruction pour le bon maniement de

l’appareil.

• Les enfants ne se rendent jamais compte de danger provenant du maniement d’appareils électriques. Donc ne

jamais laisser les enfants sans surveillance avec des appareils électriques. Chez les petits enfants, positionnez les

éléments chauffants de manière à ce qu’ils soient hors de leur portée (1,2 m d‘installation au-dessus

du sol).

• Ne pas entreprendre soi-même des réparations sur l’élément chauffant, le câble, ne pouvant pas être

remplacé, doit toujours être renvoyé au fabricant pour la réparation.

• Ne touchez pas la surface du chauffage lorsqu‘il est allumé.

Mode d’emploi

Vous trouverez dans ce manuel des informations importantes nécessaires pour la mise en service de votre radiateur

infrarouge. Avec son achat, vous vous acquérez un radiateur écologique et économique et apportez ainsi une contri

bution importante à la protection de l’environnement. Cet appareil de chauﬀage doit être utilisé avec un thermostat

(lire le point „pour l‘environnement“ pour plus de détails).

Le système de chauﬀage infrarouge est simple à installer et à monter, vous n’aurez pas besoin d’un contrat d’entre

tien comme c’est le cas avec les autres formes de chauﬀage chaudière ou autres. Aﬁn que votre radiateur infrarouge

vous procure une satisfaction à vie et que votre sécurité soit suﬃsamment garantie, merci de lire attentivement le

mode d’emploi avant la mise en service.

Gardez le manuel toujours à portée de votre main et ne transmettez jamais l’élément chauﬀant à d’autres personnes

sans ce mode d’emploi.

Le radiateur infrarouge ne fonctionne pas selon le principe de chaleur par convection mais c’est un radiateur à

rayonnement. Il se peut, à la première mise en service, que les corps froids (meubles, murs, plafonds et sols) aient

encore besoin de se réchauﬀer. Si vous ne percevez pas tout de suite cet eﬀet agréable de chaleur, allumez l’élément

chauﬀant pendant plusieurs heures ou même, si nécessaire, pendant plusieurs jours jusqu’à ce qu’une ambiance ag-

réable s’établisse dans la pièce. Dès le moment où les corps solides sont réchauﬀés, la chaleur agréable se répartira

dans la pièce et vous pourrez réduire au minimum le temps de marche du radiateur. Pour que vous puissiez vous

réjouir pleinement de la chaleur agréable, nous vous recommandons d’installer une technique de réglage de haute

qualité (thermostat) – adressez-vous à votre distributeur ou à un installateur qualiﬁé.

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE MISE EN SERVICE

Lisez les indications de sécurité et le mode d’emploi avant l’usage. Vériez si l’radiateur infrarouge ne

comporte pas de défauts visibles et si la tension du secteur correspond à l’indication de tension sur la

plaque signalétique (au verso). Si vous constatez des défauts sur l’élément chauffant, il ne faut pas l’uti

liser – adressez-vous à votre distributeur. Nous vous recommandons de ne pas jeter l’emballage original

de l’élément chauffant. Gardez l’emballage original pour un transport éventuel et le numéro de série.

MISE EN SERVICE

Monter le radiateur infrarouge avec le kit de montage livré et le brancher au réseau électrique!!

MONTAGE

Merci d’utiliser le kit d’installation joint avec le mode d’emploi pour le montage.

BRANCHEMENT ÉLECTRIQUE

Le radiateur infrarouge est équipé d’une prise mâle. Après le montage terminé, branchez-le à une prise

électrique 120V, 60Hz. Vous pouvez intégrer les régleurs de température d’ambiance au système par

des adaptateurs (thermostat pour prises de courant) ou faire installer une technique de réglage en cas

de branchement xe par un installateur qualié selon les normes et règlementations correspondantes du

pays respectif.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

Toujours débrancher avant le nettoyage. Utilisez un chiffon doux et humide et un peu de produit vaisselle

pour le nettoyage. Ne jamais nettoyer le radiateur infrarouge et l’alimentation de l’appareil à l’eau cou

rante ni le plonger dans l’eau. Ne pas utiliser de produits nettoyants caustiques, abrasifs ou facilement

inammables.

1. Utilisez le modèle fourni pour marquer la pos-

3. À l'aide d'un tournevis Philips de taille moyen-

ne, ﬁxez la vis longue de 76mm (3 “) à l'ancrage

pour cloison sèche (quatre fois). Pour le mur de

maçonnerie, vissez la vis dans l'ancrage mural en

maçonnerie.

2. Votre unité de chauﬀage comprend le matériel

de montage pour les installations de maçonnerie

ou de cloison sèche.

Utilisez une mèche de 7/32 "(6 mm) ou percer

des trous pilotes pour les ancrages de cloison

sèche; cependant, si vous percez dans un poteau,

utilisez un 3 mm (1/8 po) et n'utilisez pas d'an-

crage. Sur une cloison sèche, utilisez un tournevis

cruciforme pour visser l'ancrage de cloison sèche

dans le trou pilote, pour le mur de maçonnerie,

poussez le bouchon de maçonnerie dans le trou

pilote jusqu'à ce qu'il soit aligné avec le mur.

4. Fixez des tampons adhésifs (+ autocollant)

aux quatre zones correspondantes à l'arrière de

radiateur de chauﬀage

5. Alignez les quatre réticules du chauﬀage sur les

quatre vis ﬁxées au mur et laissez-les se verrouiller

en place.

6. Branchez la prise électrique 110 V la plus

proche.

Vous pouvez également utiliser le thermostat en-

ﬁchable de WEXSTAR (optionnel) pour le contrôle

de la température ambiante.

Garantie:

Les radiateurs électriques à panneau de WEXSTAR sont garantis contre les défauts de fabrication et de matériaux

pendant trois (3) ans à compter de la date d'achat. Cette garantie ne s'applique pas si des dommages ou des dys-

fonctionnements sont causés par des accidents, une manipulation ou un fonctionnement incorrect, des dommages

de transport, des abus, des altérations, des réparations non autorisées ou faites, des dommages accidentels, vol,

incendie, inondations, etc. ne se limite pas à une mauvaise installation du câblage, à une tension supérieure de plus

de 5% à la tension indiquée sur la plaque signalétique, à des fusibles grillés, à une alimentation électrique inadé-

quate ou à toute utilisation non autorisée par le fabricant et à l'usure normale. Le client sera responsable de tous

les coûts encourus pour l'enlèvement ou la réinstallation des produits, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, les coûts de

main-d'œuvre et les frais d'expédition pour retourner l'appareil de chauﬀage au centre de service WEXSTAR.

Dans les limites de cette garantie et à la discrétion de Spacio Innovations Inc., nous réparerons ou remplacerons

l'appareil de chauﬀage. Vous serez responsable des frais d'expédition et de manutention pour le retour de votre

unité et l'envoi d'une unité de remplacement, à la discrétion de Spacio Innovations Inc.
