WORK AREA
1. Operate in a safe work environment. Keep your work area clean, well-lit
and free of distractions. Place lights so you are not working in a shadow.
2. Keep anyone not wearing the appropriate safety equipment away from the
work area.
3. Store unused devices properly in a safe and dry location to prevent rust or
damage. Lock devices away and keep out of the reach of children.
PERSONAL SAFETY
WARNING! Wear personal protective equipment approved by the Canadian
Standards Association (CSA) or American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
1. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide front and side protection
for the eyes. Eye protection equipment should comply with CSA Z94.3-07
or ANSI Z87.1 standards based on the type of work performed.
2. Wear gloves that provide protection based on the work materials or to
reduce the effects of device vibration.
3. Wear protective clothing designed for the work environment and device.
4. Non-skid footwear is recommended to maintain footing and balance in the
work environment.
5. Wear steel toe footwear or steel toe caps to prevent a foot injury from
shifting loads.
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Control the device, personal movement and the work environment to avoid
personal injury or damage to device.
1. Do not operate any device when tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medications.
2. Avoid wearing clothes or jewelry that can become entangled with the
moving parts of a device. Keep long hair covered or bound.
3. Do not overreach when operating a device. Proper footing and balance
enables better control in unexpected situations.

AIR TOOL PRECAUTIONS
1. Inspect the tool's air hose for cracks, fraying or other faults before each
use. Discontinue use if the air hose is damaged or hissing is heard from
the air hose or connectors, while operating the tool. Replace the defective
component/air hose.
2. Do not allow people, mobile equipment or vehicles to pass over the
unprotected air hose. Position the air hose away from high traffic areas,
in a reinforced conduit or place planks on both sides of the air hose to
create a protective trench.
3. Prevent damage to the air hose by observing the following:
a. Never carry the tool by the air hose.
b. Keep the air hose behind the tool and out of the tool's work path.
c. Keep the air hose away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
d. Do not wrap the air hose around the tool as sharp edges may pierce
or crack the air hose. Coil the air hose when storing.
4. A damaged or disconnected air hose under pressure may whip around and
inflict personal injury or damage the work area. Secure the compressor's
air hose to a fixed or permanent structure with clamps or cable ties.
5.Install an in-line shutoff valve or regulator to allow immediate control over
the air supply in an emergency, even if a hose is ruptured.
6. Check the manufacturers maximum pressure rating for air tools and
accessories. Compressor outlet pressure must be regulated so as to never
exceed the maximum pressure rating of the tool.
7. Serious injury may occur from loose debris being propelled at high speeds
from the compressed air stream. Always wear OSHA approved safety glasses
to protect the eyes during operation of the air compressor.
8. Never point the air stream or tools at any point of your body, other people
or animals. Debris and dust may be ejected without warning. Always turn
off the air compressor and drain tank pressure completely before
attempting maintenance or attaching air tools. Release pressure slowly
from the system.
9. Serious injury or death may occur from inhaling compressed air. The air
stream may contain carbon monoxide, toxic vapors or solid particles. Never
inhale compressed air directly from the pump or air tool.

HYDRAULIC PRECAUTIONS
1. Do not touch or handle hydraulic hoses or components while under
pressure. Hydraulic fluid escaping under pressure has sufficient force to
penetrate your clothing and skin. A pinpoint hole may inject hydraulic
fluid into your body. Seek immediate medical attention if this occurs (see
Injection Injury).
2. Never exceed the hydraulic systems load capacity (see Specifications).
3. Do not adjust the hydraulic systems relief setting. The settings are pre-set
by the factory.
4. Hydraulic oil under pressure is hot and can cause a burn injury if touched,
sprayed or spilled. Allow the hydraulic system to cool before
conducting maintenance.
5. Hydraulic components require regular inspection. Release all pressure
from the system before you inspect it. Replace damaged hydraulic parts
with identical manufacturer's components.
6. Do not attempt makeshift repairs to a hydraulic system. Such repairs can
fail suddenly and create a hazardous condition.
7. Hydraulic fluid has a combustible flash point of 200°F (93°F). Do not
expose the fluid to an ignition source.
8. Change your clothing immediately if sprayed with hydraulic fluid. Store
clothing or rags contaminated with hydraulic fluid in an approved metal
safety can with a spring-closing lid and venting designed to contain a fire.
9. Only use hydraulic fluid in the pump. Do not substitute or mix brake fluid,
or any other fluid, with the hydraulic fluid. This can result in a pump
failure and injure the user or bystander. It may also damage the pump.
INJECTION INJURY
DANGER! Seek immediate, professional medical treatment if fluid penetrates
your skin. It may feel like a pricking or sting. Do not wait for the appearance of
symptoms. A toxic reaction can occur from the exposure. Delay in treatment
can lead to amputation or death.
Inform the medical staff that you have a fluid penetration injury as soon as you
arrive at the medical facility. The severity of the symptoms will depend on the
type of fluid injected. Bring the Safety Data Sheet for the fluid with you to the
medical facility if possible.

INJECTION PRECAUTIONS
Fluid can penetrate the skin at 100 PSI pressure. Fluid escaping under pressure
from the device has sufficient force to penetrate your clothing and skin. Follow
the precautions below to avoid an injection injury.
1. Always check for leaks wearing a face shield, safety goggles, rubberized
gloves and protective clothes.
2. Release all pressure from the system before you inspect it.
3. Do not use your hands to detect a fluid leak. Use a large piece of wood,
cardboard or paper and watch for discolouration.
4. Replace damaged parts with identical manufacturer's components to
ensure it is rated to handle the pressure.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! DO NOT let comfort or familiarity with product (gained from
repeated use) replace strict adherence to the device safety rules. If you use
this device unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious personal injury.
WARNING! Ensure that the load is secure and centered on the device. Do
not allow the load to move or tilt as the device may kick out causing
injury to the operator and/or cause the load to fall.
1. Use the correct device for the job. This device was designed for a specific
function. Do not modify or alter this device or use it for an unintended purpose.
2. Do not use the device if any parts are damage broken or misplaced. Repair
or replace the parts.
3. Do not exceed the maximum capacity to prevent equipment failure
or damage.
4. Always place the device on a hard, level surface capable of supporting the
load. Allow enough clearance around the device and the load for movement.
5. Inspect the device before each use. Do not use if it is bent, cracked,
damaged or has been subjected to a sudden or unexpected (shock) load.
6. Ensure that all applicable pins, bolts and nuts are firmly tightened
before using.
7. Do not place your hands between moving components.
8. Once the load is lifted to the desired height, support the load with jack
stands to prevent injury should the jack fail. Do not work under a load
that is supported only by a jack.

9. Ensure that there are no obstructions under the load and that the area is
clear before lowering the device.
10. Lower the load in a slow and controlled manner to prevent shock loading.
Shock loading may cause the device to fail and lead to property damage
and/or severe personal injuries.
11.Use quality hydraulic jack oil only. Do not operate the jack in temperatures
lower than -5 °C to ensure that the hydraulic jack oil flows properly and
does not thicken.
LIFTING AND LOWERING VEHICLES
1. Secure the vehicle before lifting. Set it in parking gear, engage the parking
brake and chock the wheels.
2. Support the vehicle on areas specified by the vehicle manufacturer only.
3. Do not allow people to enter a vehicle that is being lifted or moved.
UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the device if any part is missing. Replace the missing
part before operating. Failure to do so could result in a malfunction and
personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and inspect for damage.
Make sure that all items in the parts list are included.
ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
Numbered references in parenthesis (#1) refer to the included Parts List.
1. Insert the lower handle connector (#20) into the lower handle tube (#18).
Ensure that the holes are aligned. Secure using a screw (#19).
2. Insert the assembly into the centre slot on the handle socket (#10). Secure
using a bolt (#6).
3. Connect the slotted pin (#21) to the tie rod 3 (#25) using a nut (#23)
4. Insert the assembly into the smaller slot on the handle socket. Secure
using a bolt (#6).
5. Mount the adaptor plate (#43) to the lower handle tube. Secure using
nuts (#45) and U-shaped bolts (#42).
6. Install the adaptors (#36, #40 and #44) to the plate. Secure using
R-pins (#35).
7. Connect the inlet air hose (#37) to the air source.

OPERATION
LIFTING A LOAD
WARNING! Once the load is lifted to the desired height, support the load with
jack stands to prevent injury should the jack fail. Do not work under a load that
is supported only by a jack.
1. Close the release valve by rotating the handle knob (#31) clockwise.
2. Position the saddle directly under the load.
3. Run the air source at a low volume until the saddle is close to touching
the load.
4. Extend the screw extension (#45) by rotating it counterclockwise until the
saddle connects to the load. Ensure that the load is centred on the saddle
before lifting it further. Reposition the jack if needed.
5. Run the air source until the load reaches the desired height.
LOWERING A LOAD
WARNING! Lower the load in a slow and controlled manner to prevent shock
loading. Shock loading may cause the device to fail and lead to property
damage and/or severe personal injuries.
1. Disconnect the hose from the air source.
2. Open the release valve by slowly rotating the knob counterclockwise. The
load will descend as pressure is released from the jacks system. Control
the speed by rotating the knob.
a. Rotate the knob counterclockwise to increase the speed.
b. Rotate the knob clockwise to decrease the speed.
3. Once the lifting arm has fully lowered, retract the screw extension by
rotating it clockwise. Disengage the jack from the load.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the device with care. A device in good condition is efficient,
easier to control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the device components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or
worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4. Keep the device handles clean, dry and free from oil/grease at all times.

5. Maintain the devices labels and name plates. These carry important
information. If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for
replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the device. An
improperly repaired device may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
HYDRAULIC RAM MAINTENANCE
Monthly maintenance is recommended for the hydraulic ram. Any restrictions
due to dirt, rust, etc. can cause the either slow movement or extremely rapid
jerks, damaging the internal components. The following steps are designed to
keep the pump maintained and operational.
1. Lubricate the cylinder and the pumping mechanism with light oil.
2. Visually inspect for cracked welds, bent, loose, missing parts or hydraulic
oil leaks.
3. Inspect the hydraulic ram immediately if it was subjected to an abnormal
load or shock load.
4. Remove any hydraulic pump from service that is damaged, worn down or
operates abnormally, until repaired by an authorized service technician.
5. Check and maintain the ram oil level.
6. Always store the hydraulic ram in the fully retracted position. This will
help protect critical areas from corrosion.
7. Do not use brake or transmission fluids or regular motor oil as they can
damage the seals. Always purchase and use products labeled
Hydraulic Oil.
BLEEDING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Bleed excess air from the hydraulic system as follows:
1. Open the release valve by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Remove the oil filler screw and fill the pump with hydraulic fluid.
3. Wait 5 minutes for trapped air to rise to the surface.
4. Connect the hose to the air source and run it to eliminate any air in
the system.
5. Check the oil filler hole and if necessary, top off with more hydraulic oil.
6. Restore the oil filler screw. Close the release valve by turning clockwise.

7. Test the ram several times for proper operation before putting it into use.
Do not use the ram if it still does not appear to be working properly. Have
a qualified service technician service or repair the hydraulic system.
LUBRICATION
Inspect and lubricate the device when required. Only use quality hydraulic jack
oil to lubricate the device. Other lubricants may not be suitable and could
damage the device or cause a malfunction during use.
AIR TOOL LUBRICATION
NOTICE! Never use a penetrating oil to lubricate an air tool. Penetrating oil acts
as a solvent that will dissolve the tools grease packing and may damage the o-
rings, causing the tool to seize or malfunction.
1. All air tools have an internal coating of grease to prevent corrosion during
shipping and storage. Remove this grease by adding a generous amount of
oil in the air inlet and then run the tool under no load until the exhaust
is clear.
2. Manually add a drop or two of oil into the air valve (#38) before each use
and after every hour of continuous use. The tool will not work properly
without lubrication and parts will wear prematurely.
3. Avoid adding too much oil as this can cause premature power loss and
eventual tool failure. A qualified technician will need to take the tool apart
and clean out the excess oil.
4. Apply a generous amount of oil to the tool before storing it for an
extended period of time (overnight, weekend, etc.). Run the tool for
approximately 30 seconds to ensure the oil is evenly distributed
throughout the tool. Store it in a clean and dry location.
STORAGE
When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin coat of lubricant to the
steel parts to avoid rust. Remove the lubricant before using the device again.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a device damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or by-laws for
electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT pollute the environment by allowing uncontrolled
discharge of waste oil.

HYDRAULIC FLUID
Do not drain hydraulic oil into the sewer system or dispose in an uncontrolled
location. Hydraulic fluid may take more than a year to breakdown in the
environment and the ingredients may still be toxic. Contact your local
municipality for proper disposal instructions or locations.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution if the device does not function
properly or parts are missing. If unable to do so, have a qualified technician
service the device.

AIRE DE TRAVAIL

de travail propre, bien éclairée et exempte de toute distraction. Placez les

Une stabilité et un équilibre appropriés sont nécessaires afin d'avoir un
meilleur contle en cas de situations inattendues.
PRÉCAUTIONS RELATIVES AUX OUTILS PNEUMATIQUES
1. Inspectez le tuyau dair de l'outil pour déceler des fissures, des
effilochures et tout autre défaut avant chaque utilisation. Arrêtez
l'utilisation si le tuyau dair est endommagée ou si un sifflement se fait
entendre provenant du tuyau à air ou des connecteurs pendant le
fonctionnement de l'outil. Remplacez le tuyau dair ou le
composant défectueux.
2. Veillez à ce que personne, ni aucun matériel mobile ou des véhicules
n'écrasent le tuyau dair non protégée. Placez le tuyau dair à l'écart des
zones de circulation intense, soit à l'intérieur d'un conduit renforcé ou
placez des planches des deux tés de le tuyau dair afin de créer un
couloir protecteur.
3. Pour éviter tout dommage au tuyau d'air, observez les précautions suivantes :
a. Ne transportez jamais l'outil par le tuyau d'air.
b. Gardez le tuyau dair derrière l'outil et hors du trajet de l'outil.
c. Gardez le tuyau dair à l'écart des sources de chaleur, de l'huile, des
bords coupants ou des pièces mobiles.
d. N'enroulez pas le tuyau dair autour de l'outil, car les arêtes vives
risquent de percer ou de fissurer le tuyau d'air. Enroulez le tuyau dair
pour l'entreposage.
4. Un conduite d'air endommagée ou débranchée sous pression peut se
comporter à la façon d'un fouet et infliger des blessures corporelles ou
endommager l'aire de travail. Fixez le tuyau dair du compresseur à une
structure fixe ou permanente au moyen de serre-câbles ou d'attache-câbles.
5. Installez une soupape d'arrêt ou un régulateur sur la conduite afin de
permettre une commande immédiate de l'alimentation en air, en cas
d'urgence, même si un tuyau se fend.
6. Consultez la pression nominale maximale du fabricant en ce qui concerne
les outils pneumatiques et accessoires. La pression de sortie du
compresseur doit être réglée de façon à ne jamais dépasser la pression
nominale maximale de l'outil.
7. Des blessures graves peuvent se produire si des débris sont propuls à
haute vitesse dans le jet dair du compresseur. Portez toujours des

lorsque vous utilisez le compresseur dair.
8. Ne dirigez jamais le jet dair ou les outils vers votre corps, d’autres
individus ou des animaux. Des débris et de la poussière peuvent être
éjectés sans avertissement. Arrêtez toujours le compresseur dair et
évacuez complètement la pression du réservoir avant de tenter de
procéder à lentretien ou de fixer des outils pneumatiques. Évacuez
doucement la pression du système.
9. Des blessures graves ou même la mort peuvent survenir en cas dinhalation
de lair comprimé. Le jet dair peut contenir du monoxyde de carbone, des
vapeurs toxiques ou des particules solides. Ninhalez jamais lair compri
provenant directement de la pompe ou dun outil pneumatique.
CURI HYDRAULIQUE
1. Ne touchez pas et ne manipulez pas les tuyaux hydrauliques ou les
composants sous pression. Une fuite de liquide hydraulique sous pression
peut avoir une force suffisante pour pénétrer la peau. Un trou d'aiguille
peut projeter du liquide hydraulique dans votre corps. Appelez
imdiatement un médecin dans un tel cas (voir Blessure Par Injection).
2. Ne passez jamais la capacité de charge prescrite de l'appareil
hydraulique (voir Spécifications).
3. Ne réglez pas les ajustements de détente du système hydraulique. Les
réglages sont effectués au préalable en usine.
4. L’huile hydraulique sous pression est chaude et peut causer des blessures
par brûlure en cas de contact, de pulvérisation ou de déversement. Laissez
le système hydraulique refroidir avant de procéder à lentretien.
5. Les composants hydrauliques doivent faire l'objet d'une inspection
régulière. Libérez toute la pression du système avant de procéder à son
inspection. Remplacez les pièces hydrauliques endommagées par des
composants provenant du me fabricant.
6. N'essayez pas de faire des réparations de fortune à un système
hydraulique. De telles réparations peuvent être sujettes à des défaillances
soudaines et causer une condition dangereuse.
7. Le liquide hydraulique présente un point d'inflammabilité de 93 °C (200 °F).
N'exposez le liquide à aucune source d'allumage.
8. Changez immédiatement vos vêtements s'ils ont été arrosés avec le liquide
hydraulique. Rangez les vêtements ou les chiffons contaminés par le
