Intended use
This product is intended to transmit and receive lighting control
data in a dry environment.
Always follow the safety information.
Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can
damage the product and lead to associated risks such as short-
circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. You are not allowed to modify the
product.
This product fulfills legal requirements.
General Notes
• The Skylink system is intended for professional use and
may only be operated by qualified persons.
• Please read these instructions carefully before using the
product for the first time. The following text contains import-
ant information for safe handling.
• For your personal safety, please observe the safety
instructions and warnings.
• Observe all common and local safety regulations.
• Please keep these instructions for possible subsequent
owners.
• Please dispose the packing material at your local recycling
center for environmental protection.
• Defective products shall be disposed appropriately. For fur-
ther information please ask your ARRI dealer or your local
authorities.
• Use only original ARRI spare parts and accessories.
Safety Instruction
• Never expose the product to rain or moisture. Do not use
the product for 2 h when it was exposed to big temperature
differences as condensed moisture may damage the prod-
uct electrically when switched on.
• Always place the SkyLink base station on an even, stable
surface to prevent it against falling.
• Never cover the SkyLink base station nor the SkyLink re-
ceiver during operation. Keep a minimum clearance of
0,1 m (3.9 in.) around the housing.
• Avoid direct illumination by luminaires or other heat
sources.
• Check the mains cable and connector cables prior to every
operation for damage.
• In case of visible damage to cables or housings, the device
may not be operated any longer. Damaged components of
the housing must be replaced by an ARRI service center.
Set Up
TO CHOOSE A LOCATION
Place the Base Station on a stable surface, clear of obstructions.
It is recommended that the unit be elevated above nearby
objects and people to minimize physical interference. Do not
place the Base Station in location that could result in injury or
damage as a result of a fall.
TO CONNECT THE BASE TO THE POWER SUPPLY
Attach the included power supply into the 12 V DC barrel con-
nector input on the rear of the Base Station. Attach the included
NEMA 5-15P (USA) or Schuko (Europe) power cable to the pow-
er adapter, then plug it into an AC power receptacle. The power
supply accepts voltages ranging from 100 V -240 V AC.
TO PLUG IN THE RECEIVER
Simply plug the Receiver into the DMX IN port on your ARRI
SkyPanel or other DMX capable fixture. The XLR connector can
swivel 180º to provide necessary clearance. Plug the USB-A tail
into the USB port below the DMX IN on your SkyPanel to provide
power. Check, if the USB mode of the SkyPanel is set to „Nor-
mal“. Otherwise the Receiver is not powered and will not work.
TO POWER ON
Flip the Power switch downwards to power on the Base Station.
The unit will power on and be ready within 10 seconds.
Connect to the Control Data Source
You can now connect to the ARRI SkyLink system using WiFi,
Ethernet, or DMX.
Wi-Fi CONNECTION
• To log in to the Base Station, first connect to the WiFi net-
work on your control device. Find the Base Station in your
list of networks and join it. Enter the password when re-
quested.
• Default SSID: ARRI SkyLink Base Station
• Default Password: ArriSkyLink
• Please note that the passwords are case sensitive.
LINKING
• Ensure that your Receivers are powered and unlinked.
• Briefly press the Link button on the back of your SkyLink
Base Station. The Status light on your SkyLink Receivers
will blink for several seconds in unison with the CRMX Sta-
tus light on the SkyLink Base Station. Linking is complete
when flashing stops.
LIGHT OPERATION
When your device is connected and your receivers are linked,
open your Art-Net or sACN compatible DMX lighting control app.
In most cases, use these default settings:
OPERATING RANGE
The SkyLink has a range of about 500 m (1.640 ft) over CRMX.
External factors, such as walls, vegetation, or even people in
between the Base Station and Receiver can severely degrade
the range. Best practice is to have an uninterrupted line-of-sight
(LOS) between the Base Station and the Receiver.
UNLINKING
• To unlink one Receiver, press and hold its Unlink button for
more than 3 seconds to unlink it from a transmitter. The
CRMX indicator will extinguish.
• To unlink all receivers, press and hold the Link button on the
Base Station for more than 3 seconds to unlink all receivers
currently paired with the Base Station.

• Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung der Umwelt zuliebe bei einer
geeigneten Entsorgungsstelle.
• Defekte Produkte sollen geeignet entsorgt werden. Bitte
wenden Sie sich für weitere Informationen an Ihren ARRI
Händler oder die örtliche Verwaltung.
• Verwenden Sie nur Original ARRI Zubehör und Ersatzteile.
Sicherheitshinweise
• Setzen Sie das Gerät nie Regen oder Feuchtigkeit aus. Ver-
wenden Sie das Gerät wegen möglicher Kondensations-
feuchte erst nach 2 h Wartezeit, wenn es starken
Temperaturschwankungen ausgesetzt wurde.
• Stellen Sie die Basis-Station zum Schutz vor Absturz auf
einer ebenen, stabilen Oberfläche auf.
• Bedecken Sie die Basis-Station und den Empfänger wäh-
rend des Betriebs nicht. Der Freiraum um das Gehäuse
muss während des Betriebs 0,1 m betragen.
• Vermeiden Sie die direkte Bestrahlung der Geräte durch
Scheinwerfer oder andere Wärmequellen.
• Prüfen Sie den einwandfreien Zustand der Netz- und Ver-
bindungsleitungen und der Verbinder vor Inbetriebnahme.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät bei sichtbarer Beschädigung
nicht. Reparaturen dürfen nur von autorisierten ARRI
Service-Partnern ausgeführt werden.
Einrichten des Systems
WAHL DES AUFSTELLUNGSORTES
Stellen Sie die Basis-Station auf eine stabile Oberfläche. Das
Gerät soll erhöht aufgestellt werden, um die Störung des Signals
durch Objekte oder Personen in Antennennähe zu vermeiden.
Stellen Sie die Basis-Station nicht an Orten auf, an denen Per-
sonen verletzt werden können, wenn das Gerät herunterfällt.
ANSCHLUSS DER STROMVERSORGUNG
Stecken Sie den 12 V DC Verbinder des Netzteils in den
12 V DC Anschluss (3) an der Rückseite der Basis-Station. Ver-
binden Sie die mitgelieferte Netzleitung mit dem Netzteil und der
Stromversorgung. Das Netzteil ist für eine Netzspannung von
100 - 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz geeignet. Schließen Sie das Netzteil
nicht an eine Stromversorgung an, deren Spannung außerhalb
dieser Spezifikation liegt.
ANSCHLUSS DES EMPFÄNGERS
Stecken Sie den Empfänger in den DMX Eingang des SkyPa-
nels oder eines anderen DMX Geräts. Stecken Sie den USB
Verbinder in den USB Port unterhalb des DMX Eingangs des
SkyPanels. Der USB Modus des SkyPanels muss auf „Normal“
gesetzt sein.
EINSCHALTEN DER BASIS-STATION
Schalten Sie die Basis-Station mit dem Schalter an der Rücksei-
te des Geräts ein. Das Gerät ist nach ca. 10 s betriebsbereit.
Anschluss der Datenquelle
Sie können Steuerdaten per WiFi, Ethernet oder DMX an das
ARRI Skylink System senden:
AUFBAU DER WLAN VERBINDUNG
• Stellen Sie eine WLAN Verbindung mit Ihrer Steuerung her.
Wählen Sie die Basis-Station in Ihrer Liste der verfügbaren
Netzwerke aus und geben Sie das Passwort ein.
• SSID (Grundeinstellung): ARRI SkyLink Base Station
• Passwort (Grundeinstellung): ArriSkyLink
• Bitte beachten Sie Groß- und Kleinschreibung.
LINKING
• Prüfen Sie, ob alle Empfänger eingeschaltet und mit keiner
Basis-Station verbunden sind.
• Drücken Sie kurz die Link Taste an der Rückseite der Ba-
sis-Station. Die Status LED der Empfänger und die CRMX
Status LED der Basis-Station blinken nun einige Sekunden
gleichzeitig. Die Empfänger sind mit der Basis-Station ver-
bunden, wenn die LEDs nicht mehr blinken.
STEUERUNG DER GERÄTE
Wenn Ihre Lichtsteuerung und die Empfänger mit der Basis-Sta-
tion verbunden sind, können Sie Ihre Scheinwerfer ansteuern.
Öffnen Sie Ihre Art-Net oder sACN kompatible DMX Lichtsteue-
rung. Die Basis-Station verwendet meistens diese Grundeinstel-
lungen:
REICHWEITE
Die Reichweite des CRMX Signals beträgt ungefähr 500 m.
Äußere Faktoren wie Wände, Bewuchs oder Personen zwi-
schen der Basis-Station und dem Empfänger können die Reich-
weite stark herabsetzen. Für die maximale Reichweite sollte
zwischen Basis-Station und Empfänger Sichtverbindung beste-
hen.
UNLINKING
• Drücken und halten Sie die Unlink Taste am Empfänger
mindestens 3 Sekunden, um ihn von der Basis-Station zu
trennen. Nach erfolgter Trennung erlischt die CRMX LED
am Empfänger.
• Drücken und halten Sie die Link Taste an der Basis-Station
mindestens 3 Sekunden, um alle mit der Basis-Station ver-
bundenen und eingeschalteten Empfänger zu trennen.

Précautions d’emploi
• N’exposez jamais le produit à la pluie ou à l’humidité. N’uti-
lisez pas le produit dans les 2 h suivant une exposition à
d’importantes variations de température car la condensa-
tion pourrait endommager le produit à la mise sous tension.
• Installez la base du système SkyLink sur une surface de tra-
vail stable pour éviter tout risque de chute.
• Ne couvrez jamais la base ou le récepteur pendant l’utilisa-
tion. Gardez un espace libre d’au moins 0,1 m (3.9 in.) au-
tour des carters.
• Evitez toute irradiation directe par d’autres sources de lu-
mière ou de chaleur.
• Inspectez le câble d’alimentation et les connecteurs avant
chaque mise en œuvre de l’appareil.
• En cas de dommages visibles sur le câble d’alimentation,
les connecteurs ou le carter, interdisez l’utilisation de l’ap-
pareil. Les composants endommagés doivent être rempla-
cés par un centre technique ARRI.
Configuration
CHOIX DU PLACEMENT
Placez la Base sur une surface stable, sans obstruction. Il est
préférable de la surélever au dessus des objets et des per-
sonnes environnantes. Ne placez pas la Base dans un endroit
d’où la chute pourrait causer des dommages ou des blessures.
CONNECTEZ LA BASE AU SECTEUR
Branchez l’adaptateur fourni à l’embase 12 V DC à l’arrière de
la base. Branchez le câble fourni NEMA 5-15P (USA) ou Schuko
(Europe) à l’adaptateur puis raccordez-le au secteur. L’adapta-
teur accepte les tensions 100 V -240 V AC.
BRANCHEZ LE RECEPTEUR
Branchez simplement le Récepteur au port DMX In de votre
SkyPanel ou de tout autre appareil compatible DMX. Le connec-
teur XLR peut être orienté sur 180° pour limiter son encombre-
ment. Branchez le connecteur USB-A dans le port USB situé
sous l’embase DMX du SkyPanel pour alimenter le récepteur.
Vérifiez que le mode du port USB est réglé sur ’Normal’ dans les
menus du SkyPanel, sinon le Récepteur ne sera pas alimenté.
MISE SOUS TENSION
Basculez l’interrupteur de la Base sur Marche. Le système s’ini-
tialise et est prêt dans les 10 secondes suivantes.
Connexion à la source de télécommande
Vous pouvez maintenant connecter le SkyLink ARRI par WiFi,
Ethernet ou DMX.
Wi-Fi
• Pour accéder à la base, connectez-vous d’abord au réseau
WiFi. Cherchez la Base dans la liste des réseaux dispo-
nibles. Connectez-vous à ce réseau et entrez le mot de
passe à l’invite du système.
• SSID par défaut : ARRI SkyLink Base Station
• Mot de passe par défaut : ArriSkyLink
• ATTENTION : le système tient compte des majus-
cules et des minuscules.
APPARIEMENT
• Vérifiez que les Récepteurs sont allumés et non appariés.
• Appuyez brièvement sur la touche Link à l’arrière de votre
Base. Les témoins Status des Récepteurs clignotent à
l’unisson avec le témoin CRMX Status de la Base SkyLink.
L’appariement est effectué dès la fin du clignotement.
CONTROLE DES PROJECTEURS
Lorsque votre système est connecté et vos récepteurs appariés,
ouvrez le panneau de configuration de votre contrôleur ArtNet
ou sACN. Les réglages suivants suffisent généralement :
PORTEE DU SYSTEME
Le système SkyLink a une portée de 500 m environen CRMX.
Des facteurs externes comme les murs, la végétation ou les per-
sonnes environnantes situées entre la Base et les Récepteurs
peuvent dégrader la portée. La méthode la plus simple consiste
à garder les Récepteurs en vue directe de la Base et sans obs-
tacle.
DESAPPARIEMENT
• Pour désapparier un Récepteur, gardez la touche Unlink
enfoncée pendant plus de 3 s pour rompre le couplage. Le
témoin CRMX s’éteint..
• Pour désaccoupler tous les récepteurs, gardez la touche
Unlink de la Base enfoncée pendant plus de 3 s.
