ASB-10 Connections
1. Auxiliary
Used to connect an analogue stereo audio source
to the ASB-10 using a 3.5mm stereo mini jack
connector (refer to page 8).
2. Mains Input
Used to connect the ASB-10 to the mains (refer
to page 9).
3. Sub Out
Used to connect the ASB-10 to an additional sub
woofer (refer to page 8).
4. Digital Coaxial Input
Used to connect digital coaxial audio source to
the ASB-10 (refer to page 7).

1. Standby
Used to put the ASB-10 in and out of stand by mode. Holding it down for 5 seconds it searches for an
internet firmware update or a USB update.
2. Input Source Toggle
Used to toggle through the Auxiliary and Digital Inputs.
3. Bluetooth
Used to select the Bluetooth input and pair devices to the ASB-10.
4. 3D Sound
Used to change the sound of the ASB-10 to create a 3 dimensional effect (refer to page 16).
5. Volume Down
Used to reduce the volume of the ASB-10.
6. Volume Up
Used to increase the volume of the ASB-10

Remote
1. Standby
Used to put the ASB-10 in and out of stand by

1. Holding the remote in your hands with the buttons
facing up, pull out the draw in the bottom of the
remote.
2. Completely remove the drawer to reveal the
battery.
3. Replace only with the same type, CR2025 3v.

Making the Connections
Now the location has been decided, connect the sources to the ASB-10 ensuring that none of the cables are not
kinked or stretched.
NOTE: Do not connect the power to the ABS-1 until you have made all of your audio/ video connections.
Connecting Audio Devices Via Digital Input
You can connect the device to the ASB-10 using the Digital Optical or Digital Coaxial outputs from them.
Connecting Analogue Audio Devices Via Coaxial Input
You can connect to the ASB-10 using analogue audio source using a 3.5mm mini jack lead.
Subwoofer Output
To get extra bass from the ASB-10 it has a subwoofer output facility on it. The subwoofer must be purchased
seperately. Simply use a coaxial subwoofer lead to connect from the subwoofer output on the ASB-10 to the LFE
input of the subwoofer. Refer to page 17 for details on the sub woofer settings.
Connecting the Power
Now that all of the signal cables are connected, it is now time to connect the power.
IMPORTANT: Please follow the following instructions in sequence.
1. Connect the mains lead to the ASB-10 (leaving the switch in the off position).
2. Connect to wall socket and where applicable turn on.
3. Turn the mains power switch on the side of the amp panel to the on position. The ASB-10 will power on
straight away. The standby button will illuminate white and the LED on the front will flash blue as it goes
through the initial start up process and then slowly flash blue until it is connected to a wireless network or the
input changed.

materials chosen to produce the product. A gentle wipe with a dry, clean
cloth is all that is required to remove any dust. Treat it as you would a fine
piece of furniture because that is how they have been designed.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with
Monitor Audio’s instructions.

9. Do not defeat the purpose of the polarised or grounding type
plug. A polarised plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A
grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The
wider blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided
plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.

DÉCLARATION DE CONFORMITÉ À LA DIRECTIVE ROHS
Directive 2002/95/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil
sur la restriction de l’utilisation de certaines substances
dangereuses dans les équipements électriques et
électroniques de janvier 2003.
Cadre
La directive RoHS restreint l’utilisation du plomb (Pb), du cadmium (Cd),
du mercure (Hg), du chrome hexavalent (CrVI), des composants du
polybromobiphényle (PBB) et des composants du polybromodiphényléther
dans les appareils électriques et électroniques vendus au sein de l’Union
européenne.
FCC
Déclaration de la FCC relative à l’exposition aux radiations
Cet équipement est conforme aux limites d’exposition aux radiations de la
FCC définies pour un environnement non contrôlé.
Cet équipement doit être installé et fonctionner avec une distance minimale de
20 cm présente entre le radiateur et votre corps.
Cet appareil est conforme à la Partie 15 des règlements de
la FCC. Le fonctionnement est sujet aux deux conditions
suivantes : (1) il est possible que cet appareil ne provoque
pas d’interférence nuisible, et
(2) cet appareil doit accepter toute interférence captée, y compris celles qui
peuvent provoquer un fonctionnement indésirable.
Des changements ou des modifications quelconques non approuvés
expressément par la partie concernée étant responsable de la conformité
peuvent annuler l’autorité de l’utilisateur à faire fonctionner l’équipement.
REMARQUE : cet équipement a subi des tests et s’est trouvé conforme
aux limites des appareils numériques de classe B, conformément à la Partie
15 des règlements de la FCC. Ces limites sont conçues pour fournir une
protection raisonnable contre les interférences nuisibles dans une installation
résidentielle. Cet équipement génère, utilise et peut émettre une énergie des
fréquences radio et, s’il n’est pas installé et utilisé selon les instructions, peut
provoquer des interférences nuisibles sur les radiocommunications. Toutefois,
il n’existe aucune garantie que les interférences ne se produiront pas dans une
installation particulière. Si cet équipement ne provoque pas d’interférences
nuisibles sur la réception radio ou de télévision, que vous pouvez déterminer
en mettant votre équipement hors et sous tension, l’utilisateur est encouragé à
essayer de corriger les interférences en suivant une ou plusieurs des mesures
suivantes :
• Réorienter ou installer l’antenne de réception ailleurs
• Augmenter la séparation entre l’équipement et le récepteur
• Brancher l’équipement sur une prise sur un circuit différent de celui où le
récepteur est branché
• Consultez le détaillant ou un technicien radio/TV expérimenté pour
obtenir de l’aide.
