WinFobikbasedvehicles,thesalescodemustbeaddedtothedatabasepriortoinstallingthenewWCMmodule.

FailuretodosowillrendertheWCMmodule’sremotestartfunctioninoperative.

Thetechnicianshouldwait1/2hourbetweenaddingXBMsalescodeinDealerConnectbeforeinstallingthe

WCMmodule.Intheinterim,thetechniciancaninstallallothercomponentsexcepttheWCMmodule.

NOTE:Priortoinstallation,obtainthefourdigitPINfromthedealership'spartsdepartment.

NOTE:ThewiTECHsoftwarelevelmustbeatthelatestreleasetoperformthisprocedure.

NOTE:Priortoinstallation,thetechnicianshouldcuttheKEYFOBIKBlanksusingtheoriginalvehicle'sKey

FOBIKasatemplate.

1.VINmustbeupdatedwiththesalescodeoftheaddedaccessoryinordertoenablesystemfunctionality.Usingthe

DealerCONNECTwebsiteandthewiTECHdiagnosticapplication,completethevehicleconﬁguration.

2.Logontohttps://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.

3.OntheHomepage,selectthe"Service"tab.

4.OntheServicepage,lookfortheGlobalClaimsSystemareaandselect"VehicleOption".

5.OntheVehicleOptionpage,enterthelasteightdigitsoftheVIN,thenselect"View".

6.Onthe"AvailableVehicleOption'"list,scrolldownthelistandselect"XBMRemoteStartSystem".

7.Clickthe"Add"buttonandmakesure"XBMRemoteStartSystem"appearsinthe"SelectedVehicleOption"liston

theright.

8.Clickthe"Save"buttontocompleteaddingthesalescodetothevehicledatabase.

HOODSWITCHANDHARNESSINSTALLATION

1.Priortoinstallation,locatethehoodswitchconnec

tor/harness(1)locatedjustinfrontofthewindshield

washerreservoir.Iftheconnector/harnessispresent

itwillbeattachedtothevehicleharness.Ifthehood

switchconnector/harnessisnotpresent,usethe

suppliedwiringharnessinthekitandrefertothe

nextsectiontitledHOODSWITCHANDHARNESS

INSTALLATION(IFFACTORYHOODSWITCH

CONNECTOR/HARNESSISNOTPRESENT).

2.Disconnectandisolatethebatterynegativecable.

Waittwominutesforthesystemcapacitortodischarge

beforefurtherservice.

3.Openthevehicle'shood.

4.InstallthekitsuppliedJclip(1)totheinnerportionof

theradiatorsupportjustinfromthewindshieldwasher

resevoir.

5.Installthekitsuppliedhoodajarswitchbracket(1)us

ingthekitsuppliedbolt(2)totheinnerportionofthe

radiatorsupport.Tightentheboltto8Nm(71inlbs.).

6.Detachthefactoryinstalledhoodajarswitchharness

andpullthroughtheholemarked"TIPM"onthe

bracket.

7.Plugthekitsuppliedhoodajarswitchintotheharness

andseatthehoodajarswitchintotheholemarked

"TIPM".

ingthekitsuppliedbolt(2)totheinnerportionofthe

radiatorsupport.Tightentheboltto8Nm(71inlbs.).

5.Feedtheconnectorofthekitsuppliedhoodajarswitch

harness(2)andpullthroughtheholemarked"TIPM"

onthebracket(3).

6.Plugthekitsuppliedhoodajarswitch(1)intothehar

ness(2)andseatthehoodajarswitchintothehole

marked"TIPM".

7.Usingﬁshtapeorequivalent,pullthekitsuppliedhar

nessunderthebracket(3)locatedonthedriverside

fender.

8.Removethegroundbolt(2)locatedontheinnerdriver

sidefender.

9.Installthegroundbolteyelet(1)fromthekitsupplied

harnessandreinstallthegroundbolt.

10.Routethekitsuppliedviolet/whiteharness(1)

alongthefendertowardstherearoftheengine

compartment.

11.Usethekitsuppliedtiewraps(2)tosecurethehar

nesstotheexistingvehicleharness.

12.Continueroutingthekitsuppliedharness(1)alongthe

backofthebackoftheenginecompartmenttowards

thepassengerside.Securetheharnesswiththekit

suppliedtiewraps(2).

13.Routethekitsuppliedharness(1)aroundthebattery

towardstheTIPM.Securetheharnesswiththekitsup

pliedtiewraps(2).

14.RemovethecoverfromtheTotallyIntegratedPower

Module(TIPM).

15.RemovetheB+cableandnut(1)fromtheterminal

locatedontheTIPM.

16.Usingasuitableﬂatbladetool,disengagetheTIPM's

upperretainingtabs(2)andliftuptoremovetheTIPM

(1)fromit'sbracket.

17.GrasptheTIPMandrotatetheassemblyuptofreeit

fromitsmountingbracket.Positiontheassemblyup

righttoaccesstheelectricalconnectorslocatedonthe

bottomoftheunit.

18.Removetheconnectormarked"D"(1).

19.Locatecavity3(3)inthewireendviewofthe"D"

connector.

20.Removethesecondarylock(2)andweatherseal(1)

fromtheconnector.

21.Ifpresent,detachthetab(3)locatedinthewireend

viewofcavity3.

22.Removetheprimarylock(1)formtheconnector.

23.Inserttheviolet/whitewirepin(1)fromthehoodswitch

harnessintocavity3ofthe"D"connector.Makesure

thatthepinisthoroughlyengagedintothecavity.

24.Reinstalltheprimarylockintothe"D"connector.

25.Reinstallthesecondarylockandweathersealinto

the"D"connector.

26.Reconnectthe"D"connectorintotheTIPM.

27.ReinstalltheTIPM(1)toit'smountingbracket.Make

sureallretainingtabs(2)arefullyengaged.

28.InstalltheB+cableandnut(1)totheterminallocated

ontheTIPM.

29.ReinstalltheTIPMcover.

WIRELESSCONTROLMODULE(WCM)ANDREMOTESTARTANTENNAINSTALLATION

WARNING:Toavoidseriousorfatalinjuryonvehiclesequippedwithairbags,disabletheSupplementalRestraint

System(SRS)beforeattemptinganysteeringwheel,steeringcolumn,airbag,seatbelttensioner,impactsensor

orinstrumentpanelcomponentdiagnosisorservice.Disconnectandisolatethebatterynegative(ground)ca

ble,thenwaittwominutesforthesystemcapacitortodischargebeforeperformingfurtherdiagnosisorservice.

ThisistheonlysurewaytodisabletheSRS.Failuretotaketheproperprecautionscouldresultinaccidental

airbagdeployment.

13.Removethetwoscrews(4)attachingtheupper

shroud(1)tothelowershroud(2).Afterremoving

thescrews,uncliptheshroudsfromeachotherby

applyinghandpressurealongtheseamswherethe

shroudsconnectonthesides,thenremovetheupper

shroud.

14.Removethescrew(3)attachingthelowershroud(2)

tothesteeringcolumn(6).Removethelowershroud

(2).

15.Removethefourscrews(3)thatsecuretheinstrument

cluster(1)totheinstrumentpanelarmature(2).

16.Pullthetopoftheinstrumentclusterrearwardfar

enoughtoaccessanddisconnecttheinstrument

panelwireharnessconnectorsfromtheconnector

receptaclesonthebackoftheclusterhousing.

17.Removetheinstrumentclusterfromtheinstrument

panel.

18.Removetheglovebox(1).

19.Removethetrimplug(1)fromtheaccessholeinthe

topofthedefrostergrillbetweenthewindshieldand

theI/P .

20.Workingthroughtheaccesshole,loosenthenutthat

securesthepassengerairbagupperbracketandthe

instrumentpanelarmaturetothestudnearthewind

shieldfenceline.

toaccessandremovethetwonuts(3)thatsecurethe

passengerairbaglowerstudstotheinstrumentpanel

armature(2)oneachsideofthegloveboxlatchstriker

23.UsingtrimstickC4755orequivalent,removetheap

pliquebygentlypryingtheedgesofthegrabhandle

25.Removethegrabhandle(3).

26.UsingtrimstickC4755orequivalent,gentlyprythe

edgesofpassengersideI/Pcover(1)awayfromthe

I/Ptodisengagethesnapretainers.

27.SlightlyrepositionthepassengersideI/Pcover(1).Do

notremoveatthistime.

CAUTION:Donotpullontheinstrumentpanelwire

harnesstakeoutsorpryontheconnectorinsulators

todisengagetheconnectorsfromthepassenger

airbaginﬂatorconnectorreceptacles.Improper

removalofthesetakeoutsandtheirconnector

insulatorscanresultindamagetotheairbagcircuitsortheconnectorinsulators.

28.Disconnecttheinstrumentpanelwireharnessconnectorsfromtheairbaginﬂators.Firmlygraspandpullthelock

straightoutfromtheconnectorinsulator,thenpulltheinsulatorsstraightoutfromtheairbaginﬂatortodisconnect

themfromtheconnectorreceptacles.

29.RemovethepassengerairbagandI/Pcover(1)fromtheinstrumentpanelasaunit.

30.Ifequipped,removethecompassmodule(1)fromthe

mountingtabslocatednearthetopcenteroftheI/P .

Donotdisconnectthecompassmodule.

31.Installtheremotestartantenna(1)intothemounting

tabslocatednearthepassengersidedoor.The

remotestartantennamustbeinstalledwithit's

labelfacingupandtheharnessfacingtowards

thedriversideofthevehicle.

32.Beginroutingtheremotestartantennaharness

towardsthedriversideofthevehicle.

33.AttachthePIAedgebiterclip(1)totheI/Pjustunder

thecompassmoduletab.

34.AttachthePIAtiewrap(1)tothecompassmodule
