Remove the front and rear top cap from the upright assembly.
Next, remove the rear shroud from the upright assembly.

Apply the adder weight label to the weight stack selector pin mounting plate located on the top plate selector bar.

Secure the adder weight selector assembly and the adder weight selector collar to the top plate selector bar using
the identied hardware.
Note: Conrm the adder weight selector assembly rotates freely between the magnetic stops of +0 and +5.0 lb.,
or +7.5 lb depending on your adder weight selection.
ASSEMBLY STEPS:
Step 4 (Adder Weight Selector Assembly):

5. Assemble the ADDER WEIGHT
SELECTOR, and the ADDER WEIGHT
SELECTOR COLLAR as shown. Tighten
the set screw on the collar. Test the
mechanism to see that it rotates freely
and stops on the two magnetic stops. At
the stop positions, the handle should
align with the label indicators for +0 and
+5.0 LB. (or 7.5 LB.).
6. Re-attach the cable to the SELECTOR
BAR. With the weight stack selector pin
in the TOP PLATE, tighten the cable so
that the TOP PLATE just barely starts to
lift off of the first weight plate. Verify
that you can insert the weight stack
selector pin into the bottom weight
plate.
IMPORTANT: Verify that the cable bolt
does not protrude more than 1-3/8”
from the selector bar as shown. Tighten
the locking nut.
NOTE: On the XL2-1000 (Pec/Fly),
reinstall the PULLEY HOUSING by fully
threading it into the SELECTOR BAR.
Once fully engaged, reverse rotation to
orient the housing to 14 degrees as
shown. Reinstall the pulley and cable.
Fully Raise the TOP PLATE assembly
and verify that the cables are aligned
between the upper pulleys and the
pulleys in the TOP PLATE PULLEY
HOUSING. Adjust the angle if
necessary and tighten the lock nut.

Place the collars, rubber washers, and adder weight on the guide rods in the order shown below. Engage the
adder weight using the adder weight selector.
Raise the collars and rubber washers until they secure the adder weight in place on the guide rods. Tighten the
set screw on the collars to lock in the position.
Note: Orient the adder weight to allow the adder weight selector to engage the adder weight according to the
adder weight selector label.

7. Install the ADDER WEIGHT GUIDE
RODS, COLLARS, RUBBER WASHERS
and the ADDER WEIGHT using the
upper and lower GUIDE ROD RETAINER
CAPS. Secure each UPPER RETAINER
CAP with a PULL PIN. Make sure to
orient the adder weight as shown
below so that the ADDER WEIGHT
SELECTOR engages and disengages
the ADDER WEIGHT according to the
label. Make sure that the cable is on
the outside surface of the adder weight
as shown.

Insert the guide rods into the upper and lower retainer caps with the push pin holes aligned. Next, insert the
guide rods into the designated holes on the upright assembly. Secure each upper guide rod retainer cap with a
pull pin.
Note: Route the cable on the rear surface of the adder weight.
Note: For the Fuse XL-1000, secure the top plate selector bar pulley assembly rst before securing the guide rods
to the upright assembly.
Note: e holes in the brackets on the upright assembly for the retainer cap stud may be undersized due to
excessive paint. If necessary, le away excess paint until the retainer cap stud securely ts in the designated
bracket hole on the upright assembly.

7. Install the ADDER WEIGHT GUIDE
RODS, COLLARS, RUBBER WASHERS
and the ADDER WEIGHT using the
upper and lower GUIDE ROD RETAINER
CAPS. Secure each UPPER RETAINER
CAP with a PULL PIN. Make sure to
orient the adder weight as shown
below so that the ADDER WEIGHT
SELECTOR engages and disengages
the ADDER WEIGHT according to the
