ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
DUST PORT
The dust port directs the accumulated dust from the tool. Connect a dust
collection system or a dust bag that is not air tight to the port. Continue to
wear a dust mask, as suspended dust may still be in the air.
DUST BAG
WARNING! Wear proper personal protective equipment to avoid inhaling
airborne dust particles while using the orbital sander.
WARNING! Only use the dust bag with wood or wood-like materials.
Metal chips may ignite the bag's fabric, resulting in a re. Plastic chips
may adhere to the bag's interior.
The sawdust port directs the accumulated sawdust from the tool into a dust
bag. Follow the instructions for your dust collection system when opting to use
that method instead of the dust bag.
1. Attach the dust bag to the to the orbital sander dust port:
a. Slide the dust bag's plastic adapter over the orbital sander's dust
port.
b. Pinch the dust bag's retainer clip to spread the bag's opening and
place it over the dust port so the ring will sit behind the lip. Release
the clip and position the bag so the main compartment is hanging
down.
c. Check that the dust bag is zipped shut.
2. Check the dust bag periodically and empty when necessary. Follow
municipal bylaws when disposing of chemically-contaminated dust.
3. Turn the dust bag inside out and vacuum from time-to-time to avoid
material build-up.

OPERATIONS
SANDING
1. Check that the work surface is free from debris before sanding.
2. Set the tool's speed by rotating the variable speed dial to the appropriate
number. Speed increases as higher numbers are selected. The speed can
be changed without turning o the tool, as long as the tool is no longer
touching the workpiece.
3. Start the orbital sander and allow it to attain full speed.
4. Hold the the orbital sander rmly and apply it to the workpiece.
5. Move the orbital sander slowly using a circular motion. Do not put
additional pressure on the tool. This will slow down the speed of the
pad and reduce sanding eciency. Allow the tool to do the work.
6. Avoid rocking or tilting the orbital sander. This can cause deep cuts and
gouges in the work surface.
7. Keep the orbital sander in motion. Pausing in one spot will allow the
orbital sander to eat into the work, creating an uneven surface.
8. Lift the orbital sander while still under power. Once clear of the
workpiece, switch the power o and and allow the sanding disc to slow to
a stop before placing the tool down.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is ecient, easier to
control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or
worn components.. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool. Follow instructions
for changing accessories.

4. Keep the tool handles or gripping surfaces clean and dry.
5. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important
information. If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for
replacements.
WARNING! Only qualied service personnel should repair the tool. An
improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
ATTACHING A SANDING PAD
The sanding pad is specically designed to t the size and shape of the
sander's base. The fuzzy backing on the sanding pad attaches to the base's
hook and loop pad.
Carefully press the fuzzy side of the sandpaper pad against the hook and loop
pad as tightly as possible. The sanding pad should line up neatly on the base
without sticking out.
Remove the pad by grasping an edge and gently pulling at an angle. The pad
will peel away from the sander's base.
Reuse the pads as long as the sanding abrasive endures. Clean the fuzzy
backing with a small brush from time-to-time to retain maximum grip to the
hook and loop pad.
CLEANING
1. Wipe down exterior surfaces with a damp cloth to remove accumulated
dust.
2. Machine wash bonnets in cold water in a mild detergent.
3. Air dry bonnets. Do not place in a machine dryer. This will damage the
bonnets.
CLEANING THE CHARGER
1. Only clean with a damp cloth. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic
