•Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product!

• Do not use this product near water, i.e. bathtub, sink, swimming pool, wet ba-

sement, etc.

• Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand or table. The product may

fall, causing serious damage to the product or to persons!

• Slots and openings in the cabinet and the back or bottom are provided for ven-

tilation; to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from

overheating, these openings must not be blocked or covered. This product

should not be placed in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provi-

ded.

• This product should not be placed near a source of heat such as a stove, radia-

tor, or another heat producing amplifier.

• Use only the supplied power supply or power cord. If you are not sure of the

type of power available, consult your dealer or local power company.

• Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not locate this product

where persons will walk on the cord.

• Never break off the ground pin on the power supply cord.

• Power supply cords should always be handled carefully. Periodically check cords

for cuts or sign of stress, especially at the plug and the point where the cord

exits the unit.

• The power supply cord should be unplugged when the unit is to be unused for

long periods of time.

• If this product is to be mounted in an equipment rack, rear support should be

provided.

• This product should be used only with a cart or stand that is recommended by

HK AUDIO

• Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots as they

may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in risk

of fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.

• Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers

may expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks. Refer all servicing

to qualified service personnel.

• Clean only with dry cloth.

• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A po-

larized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type

plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third

prong are provided for the safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your ou-

tlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

• Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service

personnel under the following conditions:

• When the power cord or plug is damaged or frayed.

• If liquid has been spilled into the product.

• If the product has been exposed to rain or water.

• If the product does not operate normally when the operating instructions are

followed.

• If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged.

• If the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, indicating a need of

service!

• Adjust only these controls that are covered by the operating instructions since

improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often re-

quire extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to normal

operation.

• Exposure to extremely high noise levels may cause a permanent hearing loss.

• Individuals vary considerably in susceptibility to noise induced hearig loss, but

nearly everyone will lose some hearing if exposed to sufficiently intense noise

for a sufficient time. The U.S. Government´s Occupational Safety and Health

Administration (OSHA) has specified the following permissible noise level ex-

posures:

• According to OSHA, any exposure in excess of the above permissible limits

could result in some hearing loss.

• Ear plug protectors in the ear canals or over the ears must be worn when opera-

ting this amplification system in order to prevent a permanent hearing loss if

exposure is in excess of the limits as set forth above. To ensure against potenti-

ally dangerous exposure to high sound pressure levels, it is recommended that

all persons exposed to equipment capable of producing high sound pressure le-

vels such as this amplification system be protected by hearing protectors while

this unit is in operation.

•Fuses: Replace with IEC 127 (5x 20 mms) type and rated fuse for best perfor-

mance only.

TO PREVENT THE RISK OF FIRE AND SHOCK HAZARD, DO NOT EXPOSE

THIS APPLIANCE TO MOISTURE OR RAIN. DO NOT OPEN CASE; NO USER

SERVICE-ABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE

PERSONNEL.

• The unit has been built by HK AUDIO

in accordance with IEC 60065 and left

the factory in safe working order. To maintain this condition and ensure non-

risk operation, the user must follow the advice and warning comments found in

the operating instructions. The unit conforms to Protection Class 1 (protectively

earthed).

•HK AUDIO

ONLY GUARANTEE THE SAFETY, RELIABILITY AND EFFICIENCY

OF THE UNIT IF:

• Assembly, extension, re-adjustment, modifications or repairs are carried out by

HK AUDIO

or by persons authorized to do so.

• The electrical installation of the relevant area complies with the requirements

of IEC (ANSI) specifications.

• The unit is used in accordance with the operating instructions.

• The unit is regularly checked and tested for electrical safety by a competent

technician.

WARNING:

• If covers are opened or sections of casing are removed, except where this can

be done manually, live parts can become exposed.

• If it is necessary to open the unit this must be insulated from all power sources.

Please take this into account before carrying out adjustments, maintenance, re-

pairs and before replacing parts.

• The appliance can only be insulated from all power sources if the mains

connection is unplugged.

• Adjustment, maintenance and repairs carried out when the unit has been ope-

ned and is still live may only be performed by specialist personnel who are aut-

horized by the manufacturer (in accordance with VBG 4) and who are aware of

the associated hazards.

• Loudspeaker outputs which have the IEC 417/5036 symbol (Diagram 1, below)

can carry voltages which are hazardous if they are made contact with. Before

the unit is switched on, the loudspeaker should therefore only be connected

using the lead recommended by the manufacturer.

• Where possible, all plugs on connection cables must be screwed or locked onto

the casing.

• Replace fuses only with IEC127 type and specified ratings.

• It is not permitted to use repaired fuses or to short-circuit the fuse holder.

• Never interrupt the protective conductor connection.

• Surfaces which are equipped with the "HOT" mark (Diagram 2, below), rear pa-

nels or covers with cooling slits, cooling bodies and their covers, as well as tu-

bes and their covers are purposely designed to dissipate high temperatures and

should therefore not be touched.

• High loudspeaker levels can cause permanent hearing damage. You should the-

refore avoid the direct vicinity of loudspeakers operating at high levels.

Wear hearing protection if continuously exposed to high levels.

MAINS CONNECTION:

• The unit is designed for continuous operation.

• The set operating voltage must match the local mains supply voltage.

• The unit is connected to the mains via the supplied power unit or power cable.

• Power unit: Never use a damaged connection lead. Any damage must be rec-

tified by a competent technician.

•Avoid connection to the mains supply in distributor boxes together with several

other power consumers.

• The plug socket for the power supply must be positioned near the unit and

must be easily accessible.

PLACE OF INSTALLATION:

• The unit should stand only on a clean, horizontal working surface.

• The unit must not be exposed to vibrations during operation.

• Keep away from moisture and dust where possible.

• Do not place the unit near water, baths, wash basins, kitchen sinks, wet areas,

swimming pools or damp rooms. Do not place objects containing liquid on the

unit - vases, glasses, bottles etc.

• Ensure that the unit is well ventilated.

• Any ventilation openings must never be blocked or covered. The unit must be

positioned at least 20 cm away from walls. The unit may only be fitted in a rack

if adequate ventilation is ensured and if the manufacturer's installation instruc-

tions are followed.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and the immediate vicinity of heating elements

and radiant heaters or similar devices.

• If the unit is suddenly moved from a cold to a warm location, condensation can

form inside it. This must be taken into account particularly in the case of tube

units. Before switching on, wait until the unit has reached room temperature.

• Accessories: Do not place the unit on an unsteady trolley, stand, tripod, base or

table. If the unit falls down, it can cause personal injury and itself become da-

maged. Use the unit only with the trolley, rack stand, tripod or base recommen-

ded by the manufacturer or purchased together with the unit. When setting the

unit up, all the manufacturer's instructions must be followed and the setup ac-

cessories recommended by the manufacturer must be used. Any combination

of unit and stand must be moved carefully. A sudden stop, excessive use of for-

ce and uneven floors can cause the combination of unit and stand to tip over.

• Additional equipment: Never use additional equipment which has not been re-

commended by the manufacturer as this can cause accidents.

•To protect the unit during bad weather or when left unattended for prolonged

periods, the mains plug should be disconnected. This prevents the unit being

damaged by lightning and power surges in the AC mains supply.

in sicherheitstechnisch einwandfreiem Zustand verlassen. Um diesen Zustand

zu erhalten und einen gefahrlosen Betrieb sicherzustellen, muss der Anwender

die Hinweise und die Warnvermerke beachten, die in der Bedienungsanleitung

enthalten sind. Das Gerät entspricht der Schutzklasse I (schutzgeerdet).

• DIE SICHERHEIT, ZUVERLÄSSIGKEIT UND LEISTUNG DES GERÄTES WIRD

VON HK AUDIO

NUR DANN GEWÄHRLEISTET, WENN:

• Montage, Erweiterung, Neueinstellung, Änderungen oder Reparaturen von

HK AUDIO

oder von dazu ermächtigten Personen ausgeführt werden.

• die elektrische Installation des betreffenden Raumes den Anforderungen von

IEC (ANSI)-Festlegungen entspricht.

• das Gerät in Übereinstimmung mit der Gebrauchsanweisung verwendet wird.

WARNUNG:

•Wenn Abdeckungen geöffnet oder Gehäuseteile entfernt werden, außer wenn

dies von Hand möglich ist, können Teile freigelegt werden, die Spannung führen.

•Wenn ein Öffnen des Gerätes erforderlich ist, muss das Gerät von allen Span-

nungsquellen getrennt sein. Berücksichtigen Sie dies vor dem Abgleich, vor

einer Wartung, vor einer Instandsetzung und vor einem Austausch von Teilen.

• Ein Abgleich, eine Wartung oder eine Reparatur am geöffneten Gerät unter

Spannung darf nur durch eine vom Hersteller autorisierte Fachkraft (nach VBG

4) geschehen, die mit den verbundenen Gefahren vertraut ist.

• Lautsprecher-Ausgänge, die mit dem IEC 417/5036-Zeichen (Abb.1, s.unten)

versehen sind können berührungsgefährliche Spannungen führen. Deshalb vor

dem Einschalten des Gerätes Verbindung nur mit dem vom Hersteller empfoh-

lenen Anschlusskabel zum Lautsprecher herstellen.

• Alle Stecker an Verbindungskabeln müssen mit dem Gehäuse verschraubt oder

verriegelt sein, sofern möglich.

• Es dürfen nur Sicherungen vom Typ IEC 127 und der angegebenen Nennstrom-

stärke verwendet werden.

• Eine Verwendung von geflickten Sicherungen oder Kurzschließen des Halters

ist unzulässig.

• Niemals die Schutzleiterverbindung unterbrechen.

• Oberflächen, die mit dem "HOT"-Zeichen (Abb.2, s.unten) versehen sind,

Rückwände oder Abdeckungen mit Kühlschlitzen, Kühlkörper und deren Ab-

deckungen, sowie Röhren und deren Abdeckungen können im Betrieb erhöhte

Temperaturen annehmen und sollten deshalb nicht berührt werden.

• Hohe Lautstärkepegel können dauernde Gehörschäden verursachen.

Vermeiden Sie deshalb die direkte Nähe von Lautsprechern, die mit hohen

Pegeln betrieben werden. Verwenden Sie einen Gehörschutz bei dauernder

Einwirkung hoher Pegel.

NETZANSCHLUSS:

• Das Gerät ist für Dauerbetrieb ausgelegt.

• Die eingestellte Betriebsspannung muss mit der örtlichen Netzspannung

übereinstimmen.

• Der Anschluss an das Stromnetz erfolgt mit dem mitgelieferten Netzteil oder

Netzkabel.

• Netzteil: Eine beschädigte Anschlussleitung kann nicht ersetzt werden.

Das Netzteil darf nicht mehr betrieben werden.

•Vermeiden Sie einen Anschluss an das Stromnetz in Verteilerdosen zusammen

mit vielen anderen Stromverbrauchern.

• Die Steckdose für die Stromversorgung muss nahe am Gerät angebracht und

leicht zugänglich sein.

AUFSTELLUNGSORT:

• Das Gerät sollte nur auf einer sauberen, waagerechten Arbeitsfläche stehen.

• Das Gerät darf während des Betriebs keinen Erschütterungen ausgesetzt sein.

•Feuchtigkeit und Staub sind nach Möglichkeit fernzuhalten.

• Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von Wasser, Badewanne, Waschbecken,

Küchenspüle, Nassraum, Swimmingpool oder feuchten Räumen betrieben

werden. Keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gegenstände -Vase, Gläser, Flaschen

etc. auf das Gerät stellen.

• Sorgen Sie für ausreichende Belüftung der Geräte.

•Eventuelle Ventilationsöffnungen dürfen niemals blockiert oder abgedeckt

werden. Das Gerät muß mindestens 20 cm von Wänden entfernt aufgestellt

werden. Das Gerät darf nur dann in ein Rack eingebaut werden, wenn für

ausreichende Ventilation gesorgt ist und die Einbauanweisungen des Her-

stellers eingehalten werden.

•Vermeiden Sie direkte Sonneneinstrahlung sowie die unmittelbare Nähe von

Heizkörpern und Heizstrahlern oder ähnlicher Geräte.

•Wenn das Gerät plötzlich von einem kalten an einen warmen Ort gebracht wird,

kann sich im Geräteinnern Kondensfeuchtigkeit bilden. Dies ist insbesondere

bei Röhrengeräten zu beachten. Vor dem Einschalten solange warten bis das

Gerät Raumtemperatur angenommen hat.

• Zubehör: Das Gerät nicht auf einen instabilen Wagen, Ständer, Dreifuß, Unter-

satz oder Tisch stellen. Wenn das Gerät herunterfällt, kann es Personenschäden

verursachen und selbst beschädigt werden. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur mit

einem vom Hersteller empfohlenen oder zusammen mit dem Gerät verkauften

Wagen, Rack, Ständer, Dreifuß oder Untersatz. Bei der Aufstellung des Gerätes

müssen die Anweisungen des Herstellers befolgt und muss das vom Hersteller

empfohlene Aufstellzubehör verwendet werden. Eine Kombination aus Gerät

und Gestell muss vorsichtigt bewegt werden. Plötzliches Anhalten, übermäßige

Kraftanwendung und ungleichmäßige Böden können das Umkippen der Kombi-

nation aus Gerät und Gestell bewirken.

• Zusatzvorrichtungen: Verwenden Sie niemals Zusatzvorrichtungen, die nicht

vom Hersteller empfohlen wurden, weil dadurch Unfälle verursacht werden

können

• Zum Schutz des Gerätes bei Gewitter oder wenn es längere Zeit nicht beauf-

sichtigt oder benutzt wird, sollte der Netzstecker gezogen werden.

Dies verhindert Schäden am Gerät aufgrund von Blitzschlag und Spannungs-

stößen im Wechselstromnetz.

• L'appareil a été conçu par HK AUDIO

selon la norme IEC 60065 et a quitté

l'entreprise dans un état irréprochable. Afin de conserver cet état et d'assurer

un fonctionnement sans danger de l'appareil nous conseillons à l'utilisateur la

lecture des indications de sécurité contenues dans le mode d'emploi. L'appareil

est conforme à la classification I (mise à terre de protection).

• SURETE, FIABILITE ET EFFICACITE DE L'APPAREIL NE SONT GARANTIS PAR

HK AUDIO

QUE SI:

• Montage, extension, nouveau réglage, modification ou réparation sont

effectués par HK AUDIO

ou par toute personne autorisée par HK AUDIO

• L'installation électrique de la pièce concernée correspond aux normes

IEC (ANSI).

• L'utilisation de l'appareil suit le mode d'emploi.

AVERTISSEMENT:

•A moins que cela ne soit manuellement possible, tout enlèvement ou ouverture

du boîtier peut entrainer la mise au jour de pieces sous tension.

• Si l'ouverture de l'appareil est nécessaire, celui-ci doit être coupé de chaque

source de courant. Ceci est à prendre en considération avant tout ajustement,

entretien, réparation ou changement de pieces.

• Ajustement, entretien ou réparation sur l'appareil ouvert et sous tension ne

peuvent être éffectués que par un spécialiste autorisé par le fabricant (selon

VBG4). Le spécialiste étant conscient des dangers liés à ce genre de réparation.

• Les sorties de baffles qui portent le signe IEC 417/5036 (fig. 1, voir en bas)

peuvent être sous tension dangereuse. Avant de brancher l'appareil utiliser

uniquement le câble de raccordement conseillé par le fabricant pour raccorder

les baffles.

•Toutes les prises des câbles de raccordement doivent être, si possible, vissées

ou verrouillées sur le boîtier.

•L’utilisation de fusibles rafistolés ou court-circuites est inadmissible –

seulement: IEC127.

• L'utilisation de fusibles rafistolés ou court-circuites est inadmissible.

• Ne jamais interrompre la connexion du circuit protecteur.

• Il est conseillé de ne pas toucher aux surfaces pourvues du signe "HOT" (fig. 2,

voir en bas), aux parois arrières ou caches munis de fentes d'aération,

éléments d'aération et leurs caches ansi qu'aux tubes et leurs caches.

Ces éléments pouvant atteindre des températures élévées pendant l'utilisation

de l'appareil.

• Les Niveaux de puissance élévés peuvent entrainer des lésions auditives

durables. Evitez donc la proximité de haut-parleurs utilisés à haute puissance.

Lors de haute puissance continue utilisez une protection auditive.

BRANCHEMENT SUR LE SECTEUR:

• L'appareil est conçu pour une utilisation continue.

• La tension de fonctionnement doit concorder avec la tension secteur locale.

• Le raccordement au réseau éléctrique s'effectue avec l'adaptateur ou le cordon

d´alimentation livré avec l'appareil.

• Adaptateur: Un câble de raccordement abimé ne peut être remplacé. L'adapta-

teur est inutilisable.

•Evitez un raccordement au réseau par des boîtes de distribution surchargées.

• La prise de courant doit être placée à proximité de l'appareil et facile à atteindre.

LIEU D'INSTALLATION:

• L'appareil doit être placé sur une surface de travail propre et horizontale.

• L'appareil en marche ne doit en aucun cas subir des vibrations.

•Evitez dans la mesure du possible poussière et humidité.

• L'appareil ne doit pas être placé à proximité d'eau, de baignoire, lavabo, évier,

pièce d'eau, piscine ou dans une pièce humide. Ne placez aucun vase, verre,

bouteille ou tout objet rempli de liquide sur l'appareil.

• L'appareil doit être suffisamment aéré.

• Ne jamais recouvrir les ouvertures d'aération. L'appareil doit être placé à 20 cm

du mur au minimum. L'appareil peut être monté dans un Rack si une

ventilation suffisante est possible et si les conseils de montage du fabricant

sont suivis.

•Evitez les rayons de soleil et la proximité de radiateurs, chauffages etc.

• Une condensation d'eau peut se former dans l'appareil si celui-ci est transporté

brusquement d'un endroit froid à un endroit chaud. Ceci est particulièrement

important pour des appareils à tubes. Avant de brancher l'appareil attendre

qu'il ait la température ambiante.

• Accessoires: L'appareil ne doit être placé sur un chariot, support, trépied, bâti

ou table instable. Une chute de l'appareil peut entrainer aussi bien des domma-

ges corporels que techniques. Utilisez l'appareil uniquement avec un chariot,

Rack, support, trépied ou bâti conseillé par le fabricant ou vendu en combinai-

son avec l'appareil. Les indications du fabricant pour l'installation de l'appareil

sont à suivre, et les accessoires d'installation conseillés par le fabricant sont à

utiliser. Un ensemble support et appareil doit être déplacé avec précaution.

Des mouvements brusques et des revêtements de sol irreguliers peuvent

entrainer la chute de l´ensemble.

• Equipements supplémentaires: Ne jamais utiliser un équipement supplémen-

taire n'ayant pas été conseillé par le fabricant, ceci pouvant entrainer des

accidents.

• Afin de protéger l'appareil pendant un orage ou s'il ne doit pas être utilisé

pendant un certain temps, il est conseillé d'enlever la prise au secteur.

Ceci évite des dommages dûs à la foudre ou à des coups de tension dans le

réseau à courant alternatif.

garantire il mantenimento di tale stato e un utilizzo assolutamente privo di ri-

schi l'utente è tenuto ad osservare le indicazioni e gli avvertimenti di sicurezza

contenuti nelle istruzioni per l'uso. L'apparecchio rispecchia il livello di

sicurezza I (collegato a terra).

• Sicurezza, affidabilità e prestazioni dell'apparecchio vengono garantiti dalla

HK AUDIO

solo ed esclusivamente se:

• Montaggio, ampliamento, rimessa a punto, modifiche e riparazioni vengono

eseguite dalla HK AUDIO

stessa o da personale da essa autorizzato.

• Gli impianti elettrici nei locali prescelti per l'uso dell'apparecchio rispondono

alle normative stabilite dall'ANSI.

• L'apparecchio viene utilizzato come indicato nel libretto delle istruzioni per l'uso.

Avvertimenti:

• In caso di apertura di parti di rivestimento o rimozione di parti dell'involucro,

a meno che non si tratti di pezzi rimovibili semplicemente a mano, possono

venire alla luce parti dell'apparecchio conduttrici di tensione.

• Se l'apertura dell'apparecchio dovesse risultare necessaria è indispensabile

staccare precedentemente quest'ultimo da tutte le fonti di tensione. Rispettare

tale misura di prevenzione anche prima di un allineamento, di operazioni di

manutenzione, della messa in esercizio o della sostituzione di componenti

all'interno dell'apparecchio.

• Allineamento, operazioni di manutenzione o eventuali riparazioni dell'appa-

recchio in presenza di tensione vanno eseguite esclusivamente da personale

specializzato ed autorizzato, in grado di eseguire tali operazioni evitandone

i rischi connessi.

• Le uscite degli altoparlanti contrassegnate dai caratteri IEC 417/5036 (vedi

illustrazione 1 a fondo pag.) possono essere conduttrici di tensione pericolosa

con cui evitare il contatto. Per questo motivo, prima di accendere l'appa-

recchio, collegare quest'ultimo agli altoparlanti servendosi esclusivamente del

cavetto d'allacciamento indicato dal produttore.

•Tutte le spine e i cavi di collegamento devono essere avvitati o fissati all'invo-

lucro dell'apparecchio per quanto possibile.

• Utilizzare esclusivamente fusibili del tipo IEC 127 con la indicata corrente no-

minale.

• L'utilizzo di fusibili di sicurezza non integri e la messa in corto circuito del

sostegno di metallo sono proibite.

• Non interrompere mai il collegamento con il circuito di protezione.

• Superfici contrassegnate dalla parola "HOT" (vedi illustrazione 2 a fondo pag.),

cosi come griglie di aerazione, dispositivi di raffreddamento e i loro rivestimen-

ti di protezione, oppure valvole e i relativi rivestimenti protettivi possono surri-

scaldarsi notevolmente durante l'uso e per questo motivo non vanno toccate.

• L'ascolto di suoni ad alto volume può provocare danni permanenti all'udito.

Evitate perciò la diretta vicinanza con altoparlanti ad alta emissione di suono

e utilizzate cuffie protettive in caso ciò non sia possibile.

Alimentazione:

• L'apparecchio è concepito per il funzionamento continuo.

• La tensione di esercizio deve corrispondere alla tensione di rete a cui ci si allaccia.

• L'allacciamento alla rete elettrica avviene tramite alimentatore o cavetto d'ali-

mentazione consegnato insieme all'apparecchio.

• Alimentatore: un cavo di connessione danneggiato non può essere sostituito.

L'alimentatore non può più essere utilizzato.

•Evitate un allacciamento alla rete di corrente utilizzando cassette di distribu-

zione sovraccariche.

• La spina di corrente deve essere situata nelle vicinanze dell'apparecchio e

Locali di collocamento:

• Opportuno collocare l'apparecchio su una superficie pulita e orizzontale.

•Eventuali aperture previste per la ventilazione dell'apparecchio non vanno ne

bloccate, ne mai coperte. L'apparecchio va collocato ad almeno 20 cm di di-

stanza dalle pareti circostanti e può essere inserito tra altre componenti di un

impianto solo in caso di sufficiente ventilazione e qualora le direttive di

montaggio del produttore vengano rispettate.

•Evitare di esporre l'apparecchio ai raggi del sole e di collocarlo direttamente

• Las clavijas de contacto al final de los cables conectores tienen que estar

atornilladas o enclavadas a la carcasa, en tanto que sea posible.

• Sólo se pueden utilizar fusibles del tipo IEC 127 con la intensidad de corriente

nominal indicada.

• El uso de fusibles reparados o la puesta en cortocircuito del soporte es

inadmisible.

• El empalme del conductor de protección no se puede interrumpir en ningún

caso.

• Las superficies provistas de la característica "HOT" (figura 2, véase abajo),

•Evite una conexión de la red eléctrica a distribuidores con muchas tomas de

corriente.

• El enchufe para el suministro de corriente tiene que estar cerca del aparato

y ser de fácil acceso.

SITUACION:

• El aparato debería estar situado en una superficie limpia y totalmente horizontal.

• El aparato no puede estar expuesto a ningún tipo de sacudidas durante su

funcionamiento.

• Se deben evitar la humedad y el polvo.

• El aparato no puede ponerse en funcionamiento cerca del agua, la bañera, el

lavamanos, la pila de la cocina, un recinto con tuberías de agua, la piscina o en

habitaciones húmedas. Tampoco se pueden poner objetos llenos de líquido -

jarrones, vasos, botellas, etc. - encima de él.

• Procure que el aparato tenga suficiente ventilación.

• Las aberturas de ventilación existentes no se deben bloquear ni tapar nunca.

El aparato debe estar situado como mínimo a 20 cm de la pared. El aparato

sólo se puede montar en un rack, si se ha procurado la suficiente ventilación y

se han cumplido las indicaciones de montaje del productor.

•Evite los rayos del sol directos así como la proximidad a radiadores, electro-

radiadores o aparatos similares.

• Si el aparato pasa repentinamente de un lugar frío a otro caliente, se puede

condensar humedad en su interior. Esto se debe tener en cuenta sobretodo en

los aparatos con válvulas electrónicas. Antes de poner en marcha el aparato se

debe esperar hasta que éste haya adquirido la temperatura ambiental.

• Accesorios: el aparato no se puede colocar encima de carros, estantes, trípodes,

soportes o mesas inestables. Si el aparato se cae puede causar daños perso-

nales y se puede estropear. Coloque el aparato sólo en un carro, rack, estante,

trípode o soporte recomendado por el productor o que se le haya vendido junto

con el aparato. En la instalación se deben seguir las indicaciones del productor

así como utilizar los accesorios recomendados por el mismo para colocarlo

encima. El conjunto del aparato con el pedestal se debe mover con mucho

cuidado. Un paro brusco, la aplicación de una fuerza desmesurada o un suelo

irregular puede ocasionar la caida de todo el conjunto.

• Piezas adicionales: no utilice nunca piezas adicionales que no estén recomen-

dadas por el productor, ya que se podrían provocar accidentes.

• Para protejer el aparato de una tormenta o si no se supervisa ni utiliza durante

algún tiempo, se debería desconectar la clavija de la red. Así se evitan daños en

el aparato a causa de un rayo y golpes de tensión en la red de corriente alterna.

HK AUDIO systems are all-inclusive sound reinforce-

Fresh, Friendly Mid/High Frequencies

Since mid and high frequencies are a breed apart

from low frequencies, they are best handled with a

different type of signal processing. To this end, we

use a technology originally developed for high-end

recording, an opto-limiter. With its soft-knee attack,

this type of limiting is not at all harsh, but very

smooth, musical and inconspicuous. The original

signal is barely modified, leaving inherent dynamics

and natural sounds intact.

Subsonic Filter

Preventing Low Frequency Interference

The integrated subsonic filter eliminates accidental

and unintentional signals such footfalls, wind or

the sound of a hand accidentally brushing a micro-

phone. It cuts these frequencies drastically, freeing

energy to render bass impulses better. Goodbye

squashed dynamics and artificial sound, hello

authenticity and natural sounding low/mid

The DuoTilt™ offers downward angles of 7.5° and 15°

to better aim the mid/high-range cabinets directly at

the audience. Troublesome ceiling reflections are

minimized; the soundscape is clearer, tighter and

more focused.

1 L.U.C.A.S 2000 System

Components

Subwoofer. The L.U.C.A.S 2000's subwoofer is a

bass reflex enclosure loaded with an 18" woofer,

specially manufactured for HK AUDIO.

Satellites. The satellites are also housed in bass

reflex enclosures loaded with a 12" woofer and a 1"

B&C driver with a 60° x 40° CD horn.

The new HK AUDIO DuoTilt™ speaker stand

mounting collar, which is integrated into the base of

the satellite enclosure, allows sound energy to be

utilized far more efficiently. Offering two angles of

tilt - 7.5° and 15° - it lets you zero in on and align

L.U.C.A.S 2000 to your audience. Troublesome

ceiling reverberations are minimized, and you end

up with a focused sound that is clear and punchy.

Cabinets are stabilized at their center of gravity - no

wobbling, tilting, or unintentional turning.

Your choice of DuoTilt™ angle - 7.5° or 15 ° - depends

on the required speaker height and the size (and

height) of the room.

Note: The system's components are matched for the

best possible audio performance and may only be

operated in the specified configuration. Use of other

satellites may degrade the sound and damage the

power amp.

2. Control Features

L.U.C.A.S 2000 Subwoofer

1 Input (combination jack) Left, Right. Electronically

balanced input jack will accept the mixer signal via

either an XLR connector (pin 1= Ground, 2= +, 3= -)

or a stereo-style Tip-Ring-Sleeve quarter-inch plug.

2 Through Left, Right. Parallel output for routing the

incoming Line signal (left or right) out to other

systems, outboard components, monitor power

amps, etc.

3 Satellite Left and Satellite Right. Connect these

Speakon

outputs to the left and right L.U.C.A.S

2000 satellites.

5 Mains Input. Use the factory-included PowerCon

cord to connect this socket to a wall receptacle.

Caution! Make sure the local mains voltage matches

the voltage specified on the device. If you connect

the system to the wrong mains voltage, you may

destroy the electronic components of the L.U.C.A.S

2000 system.

6 Power Switch. On/off switch for the active system.

The light on the button illuminates red to indicate

that the system is powered up. In addition, the red

LED in the upper control panel lights up when the

system is switched on.

7 Gain Left, Gain Right. These knobs let you adjust

the power amp to match the input signal level; turn

them down to prevent distortion when you're

patching in high-level signals.

8 Subwoofer Level. This knob adjusts the sub-

woofer's volume.

9 Limiter LEDs. Indicates the limiter's operating

status. Green = signal, Red = Limiter is active.

The limiter status of the left and right signal paths

and the subwoofer is in each case indicated by a

dedicated LED.

10 Power On LED. This LED lights up when the

Power switch (see rear panel) is set to On and the

system is plugged into a mains power supply.

11. Ground. Ground lift button for separating the

signal and chassis ground when you encounter

problems with humming noises. The ground circuit

is severed when you press it.

L.U.C.A.S 2000 Satellite

1 Input . Speakon

NL 4 socket (pin 1+ = +,

pin 1- = -). Insert the Speakon

connector and then

rotate it to the right until it engages to establish an

electrical connection. Before unplugging the connec-

tor, you must first disengage the safety catch. To do

this, pull the bayonet catch towards the cord.

3 Setting Up and Connecting

Speakers

Use a cord equipped with standard XLR microphone

connectors or 1/4" plugs to send the signal from

your mixer (master left/right, line out, or a similar

circuit) to the balanced Input jacks. Make sure the

XLR or TRS connectors have the following pin assig-

nments: 1 = ground, 2 = +, 3 = -.

Connect L.U.C.A.S 2000's satellites by plugging the

loudspeaker cords with Speakon connectors into the

Satellite Left and Satellite Right outputs.

Aligning L.U.C.A.S 2000 Satellites Using the

HK AUDIO DuoTilt™

The HK AUDIO DuoTilt™ lets you align L.U.C.A.S

2000 cabinets horizontally in such a way as to

prevent or reduce troublesome ceiling reflections.

The front opening of the HK AUDIO DuoTilt™ gives

you a 7.5° angle of tilt, the rear opening a 15° angle

of tilt.

If you set the full-range cabinets on a fully extended

cabinet tripod or mounting pole, opt for the 15°

angle to minimize ceiling reflections.

4 Operating the System

Ensure the Power On switch is set to Off and the

power cord is clamped into the tab designed to hold

it in place.

Caution: Connecting the L.U.C.A.S 2000 system to

the wrong mains voltage can seriously damage the

power amp!

Turn the Gain knob all the way down (counterclock-

wise as far as the knob will go).

Make sure the system is connected to the satellites

before you power it up, and all connected peripheral

components are switched on first.

Caution! Check that you have turned the Speakon

connectors fully clockwise until they are locked in

place!

Switch the connected mixer - as well as the keybo-

ards, instrument amps, effects, and all signal sour-

ces that are connected to it - on first.

Always switch the active L.U.C.A.S 2000 system on

last, that is, after you have switched on all connected

devices. Once you have powered the system up by

activating the Power On/Off switch (it will light up

red when it is set to On and receiving mains power),

set the Left and Right Gain knobs to the center or 12

o'clock position (= 0 dBV).

5 Settings

Left and Right Gain Knobs. If you hear distortion or

a saturated signal, first check the signal sources

and, if possible, reduce the output signal level at the

source. Also check the limiter displays. If these light

up continuously, back off the volume! If you are

unable to turn down the level that you are sending

to L.U.C.A.S 2000 at the signal source, adjust the

input gain using the Gain knobs. (Also see Tips and

Tricks.)

Subwoofer Level. When the Gain knob is set to the

center position, the subwoofer's volume is matched

to the satellites' levels so that the audience is

treated to a good balance of sound with an even

distribution of bass and mid/high (satellite) signals.

By simply turning the Subwoofer Level knob to the

left or right you can cut the bass frequencies by as

much as -12 dB or boost them by as much as +6 dB.

Ground Lift Button. If you encounter low frequency

hum, activate the Ground Lift button. If this doesn't

kill the hum, check all cords connected to the

L.U.C.A.S 2000 system and all signals routed to the

mixer until you pinpoint the problem. (Also see Tips

and Tricks.)

6 Tips and Tricks

1. Never expose electronic circuitry to moisture!

When you set the system up outdoors, be sure to

protect it against rain. Keep soft drinks, beer, or any

other liquids well away from the cabinets to protect

their electronic components from short circuits.

2. To ensure proper ventilation, make sure the sub-

woofer is placed a sufficient distance away from

walls and isn't covered by curtains and the like. This

is crucial to keep the power amps cool.

3. Prevent distortion! Not only is it unpleasant to

the ears of your audience, it can also endanger your

equipment. Make sure all components that are

connected directly and indirectly to the L.U.C.A.S

2000 system have sufficient power, and that they

are not distorted due to being driven at their

respective limits. Provide an undistorted signal to

the system that doesn't have to be cleaned up by

backing off the Gain knob.

4. Avoid ground loops! Even in a balanced circuit,

redundant ground circuits in a single audio system

may generate undesirable hum. For example, you

may encounter a ground loop if the mixer is

grounded via a mains cord that isn't connected to

the same mains circuit as the L.U.C.A.S 2000

system. To prevent this problem, always connect

L.U.C.A.S 2000 and the mixing console to the same

electrical power circuit to ensure the same phase! If

your equipment hums despite this precaution, the

Ground Lift button may help.

Caution: Never tape over the plug's ground terminal

- this endangers lives!

This set comprises one cover for the subwoofer and

two covers for the satellites. Tear-resistant and

water-repellent, these rugged bags are thickly

padded to afford long-lasting protection of the

L.U.C.A.S 2000 system during transport.

8 Troubleshooting

The Power On LED and the Mains switch do not

light up red after you switch the system on.

1. Check if the power cord is plugged into the Mains

input.

2. Check if the mains power supply is actually

providing current.

The Power On LED and the Power switch light up

red, but the cabinets produce no sound.

1. Check the cables that you have connected to the

Input Left and Right jacks.

2. Check if the signal sources (mixer, keyboard, CD

player) are on.

3. Are the Gain Left and Gain Right knobs turned up?

4. Check the loudspeaker cords for damage.

5. Check if the Speakon connectors plugged into the

Satellite Left and Satellite Right ports are engaged

(rotated all the way to the right). An electrical

connection is established only when these are locked

into position.

The subwoofer's bass response sounds thin or weak.

1. Check the setting of the Subwoofer Level knob. Set

the subwoofer's volume to the desired level using

this knob.

The signal seems distorted.

1. Check your mixer's LEDs or level meters. Ensure

that they do not light red continuously. If necessary,

back off the volume on the mixer.

2. If your mixer's LED meters are in the green, turn

down L.U.C.A.S 2000's Gain Left and Gain Right

knobs.

3. Observe the LEDs of the Limit Left, Limit Right,

and Limit Subwoofer displays on L.U.C.A.S 2000's

control panel. These may light up red briefly, but un-

der no circumstances may they illuminate red conti-

nuously. If the latter is the case, turn down the Gain

knobs on L.U.C.A.S 2000's control panel.

Annoying hum

1. Check the cords that you are using to connect the

signal source to L.U.C.A.S 2000. Immediately repla-

ce any damaged cords.

2. If you cannot pinpoint the cause of the humming,

try pressing the Ground Lift button. This should take

care of the problem in most cases.

L.U.C.A.S geht weiter... und das ist beim neuen

L.U.C.A.S 2000 wörtlich zu verstehen: Er ist das

ideale Werkzeug für Entertainer und DJs, die auch

schon mal richtig große Events beschallen müssen.

Der bemerkenswert hohe verwertbare Schalldruck bis

in die tiefsten Lagen macht dieses High-Tech-System

auch für Bands interessant. Neben der hoch-

klassigen Lautsprecherbestückung bildet fortschritt-

lichste Digital- Endstufentechnologie die Grundlage

für den immensen akustischen Output bei reduzier-

tem Transportgewicht.

HK AUDIO-Systeme stellen immer eine komplette

Beschallungslösung dar, bestehend aus Subwoofer,

Mittel-/Hochtonboxen und integrierter Elektronik.

Jedes System wird von Anfang an für eine bestimmte

Anwendungssituation entwickelt und optimiert. Die

1 L.U.C.A.S 2000

Systemkomponenten

Subwoofer. Das Gehäuse des L.U.C.A.S 2000 Sub-

woofers ist als Bassreflexgehäuse ausgeführt. Als

Basslautsprecher kommt ein speziell für HK AUDIO

gefertigter 18" Lautsprecher zum Einsatz.

Satelliten. Die Satelliten sind ebenfalls als Bass-

reflexgehäuse ausgeführt. Bestückt sind sie mit

einem 12" Tief- Mitteltöner und einem 1" B&C Trei-

ber mit 60° x 40° CD Horn.

Der neu entwickelte, integrierte HK AUDIO

DuoTilt™ Hochständerflansch ermöglicht eine

effizientere Ausnutzung der Schallenergie. Mit zwei

verschiedenen Aufstellwinkeln von 7,5° und 15°

können die L.U.C.A.S 2000 optimal auf das

Publikum ausgerichtet werden. Störende Decken-

reflexionen werden minimiert, der Sound ist druck-

voll und klar. Die Box ist dabei immer genau im

Schwerpunkt, kein Wackeln, kein Kippen, kein

unbeabsichtigtes Verdrehen.

Die Wahl des DuoTilt-Winkels von 7,5° oder 15° hängt

von der erforderlichen Höhe der Satelliten und von

der Größe (Höhe) des Raumes ab.

HINWEIS: Die Systemkomponenten sind akustisch

optimal aufeinander abgestimmt und dürfen nur in

der angegebenen Konfiguration betrieben werden.

Bei Verwendung anderer Satelliten kann der Klang

negativ beeinflusst werden bzw. die Endstufe

Schaden nehmen.

2 Bedienelemente

L.U.C.A.S 2000 Subwoofer

1 Input (Kombibuchse) Left, Right. Elektronisch sym-

metrierte Eingangsbuchse für das Mischpult-Signal

(pin 1= Ground, 2= +, 3= -). Es kann ebenfalls ein

Kabel mit Stereo Klinkenstecker verwendet werden.

2 Through Left, Right. Paralleler Ausgang zur Weiter-

leitung des Line- Signals (links bzw. rechts), z.B. an

weitere Systeme, einzelne Komponenten, Monito-

rendstufen, etc.

3 Satellite Left und Satellite Right. Verbinden Sie die

Speakon

Ausgangsbuchsen mit den L.U.C.A.S 2000

Satelliten links und rechts.

4 Mains Input. Verbinden Sie diese Anschlussbuchse

mittels des mitgelieferten PowerCon-Stromkabels

mit der Netzsteckdose.

Achtung! Achten Sie auf die jeweils gültigen

Spannungen. Der Anschluss an eine falsche Netz-

spannung kann die elektronischen Elemente des

L.U.C.A.S 2000 Systems zerstören.

5 Power-Schalter. Der Ein/Aus-Schalter für das Aktiv

System. In eingeschaltetem Zustand leuchtet der

Schalter rot. Zusätzlich leuchtet die rote LED im

oberen Bedienfeld im eingeschalteten Zustand auf.

6 Gain Left, Gain Right. Regler zum Anpassen der

Endstufe an das Eingangssignal, zur Vermeidung von

Verzerrungen bei ungünstigen Signalpegeln.

7 Subwoofer Level. Regler zum Anpassen der

Subwoofer Lautstärke.

8 Limiter LED's. Anzeigen über den Betriebsstatus

der Limiter. Grün = Signal, Rot = Limiter arbeitet.

Der Limiterstatus des linken- und rechten Signal-

weges, sowie des Subwoofers wird jeweils über eine

eigene LED angezeigt.

9 Power-On LED. Diese LED leuchtet, wenn der

Powerschalter (Siehe Rückseite) auf On steht und

entsprechende Netzverbindung besteht.

von Signal- und Gehäusemasse bei Brumm-

problemen. In gedrücktem Zustand wird die Masse

getrennt.

L.U.C.A.S 2000 Satellite

1 Input. Speakon

NL 4 Buchse (pin 1+=+, 1-= -).

Die elektrische Verbindung ist nur dann hergestellt,

wenn der Speakon

Stecker nach dem Einstecken

nach rechts gedreht wird und einrastet. Vor dem

Herausziehen muss zuerst die Verriegelung ent-

sichert werden. Dazu wird der Bajonettverschluss in

Richtung des Kabels gezogen.

3 Aufstellung und Verkabelung

Schließen Sie die von Ihrem Mischpult kommenden

Signalkabel (Master left/right, Line out o.ä.) an die

symmetrierten Input Buchsen mit einem XLR- Mikro-

fonkabel oder einem Klinkenkabel an. Die Belegung

der XLR Stecker muss dabei wie folgt sein:

1= Ground, 2= +, 3= -

Verbinden Sie nun die Satelliten des L.U.C.A.S 2000

Systems mit Speakon- Lautsprecherkabeln mit den

Ausgängen Satellite Left und Satellite Right.

Horizontale Ausrichtung der L.U.C.A.S 2000

Satelliten mit dem HK AUDIO DuoTilt™

Mit dem HK AUDIO DuoTilt™ können die L.U.C.A.S

2000 horizontal ausgerichtet werden. Dadurch kön-

nen störende Reflexionen an der Decke vermieden

bzw. verringert werden. Mit der vorderen Öffnung im

HK AUDIO DuoTilt™ beträgt der Neigungswinkel

7,5° und mit der hinteren 15°.

Werden die Satelliten auf einem voll ausgefahrenen

Boxenstativ bzw. Distanzstange betrieben, sollte der

15° Winkel benutzt werden, um Reflexionen an der

Decke möglichst zu minimieren.

4 Inbetriebnahme

Achten Sie darauf, dass der Power-On Schalter auf

der Stellung Off steht und das Netzkabel ange-

schlossen und in der vorgesehenen Lasche ein-

geklemmt ist.

Achtung: Falls Sie L.U.C.A.S 2000 an eine falsche

Netzspannung anschließen, können die Endstufen

ernsthaft beschädigt werden!

Drehen Sie den Gain-Regler zu (Anschlag links).

Achten Sie darauf, dass das System vor dem Ein-

schalten mit den Satelliten verkabelt ist und dass alle

übrigen angeschlossenen Komponenten schon vor-

her in Betrieb sind.

Achtung! Die Speakon-Stecker müssen durch

Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn einrasten!

Sowohl das angeschlossene Mischpult als auch alle

mit ihm verbundenen Signalquellen wie Keyboards,

Instrumentalverstärker, Effekte usw. sollten bereits

vorher eingeschaltet sein.

Das Aktiv-System L.U.C.A.S 2000 sollte immer zu-

letzt , d.h. nach allen anderen Komponenten, einge-

schaltet und zuerst - d.h. vor allen angeschlossenen

Geräten - ausgeschaltet werden. Nach dem Ein-

schalten mit dem Power On/Off Schalter (leuchtet

rot, wenn Spannung anliegt und er auf "On" steht)

drehen Sie die Gain-Regler Left und Right ganz auf

rechts (= 0 dBV).

5 Einstellungen

Gain Regler Left und Right. Falls Verzerrungen oder

Übersteuerungen auftreten, überprüfen Sie die Sig-

nalquellen und reduzieren Sie nach Möglichkeit dort

das Ausgangssignal. Beobachten Sie die Limiter-

Anzeigen. Leuchten diese dauerhaft auf, muss die

Lautstärke reduziert werden! Lässt sich das zu

L.U.C.A.S 2000 führende Signal auf diese Weise

nicht verändern, passen Sie es mit den Gain-Reglern

an (s.a. Tipps und Tricks).

Subwoofer Level. In Mittelstellung ist die Lautstärke

des Subwoofers den Satelliten so angepasst, dass

ein homogener Klangeindruck mit ausgewogenem

Bass- und Mittelhochton Anteil (Satellit) besteht.

Durch Drehen des Subwoofer Level Reglers nach

links oder rechts kann die Lautstärke des Sub-

woofers bei Bedarf erniedrigt (bis zu -12 dB) bzw. er-

höht werden (bis zu +6 dB).

Ground Lift Schalter. Beim Auftreten von tief-

frequentem Brummen betätigen Sie den Ground Lift

Schalter. Führt dies nicht zum Erfolg, überprüfen Sie

die Kabel, die zu L.U.C.A.S 2000 führen, und alle

am Mischpult ankommenden Signale auf Mängel

(s.a. Tipps und Tricks).

6 Tipps und Tricks

1. Lassen Sie keine Feuchtigkeit an die Elektronik

kommen! Achten Sie beim Einsatz im Freien darauf,

dass Ihr System vor Regen geschützt aufgestellt

wird. Cola, Bier oder andere Flüssigkeiten dürfen

nicht an die Elektronik gelangen, da dies zu Kurz-

schlüssen führen kann.

2. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass der Subwoofer genügend

Abstand zu Wänden hat und nicht von Vorhängen

o.ä. verdeckt wird. Nur so bleibt die Kühlung der

Endstufen gewährleistet.

3. Verhindern Sie Verzerrungen! Verzerrungen sind

nicht nur unangenehm für die Ohren der Zuhörer,

sie sind auch gefährlich für Ihre Anlage. Achten Sie

darauf, dass alle direkt und indirekt an L.U.C.A.S

2000 angeschlossenen Komponenten über

genügend Leistung verfügen und niemals Ver-

zerrungen produzieren, weil sie am Limit betrieben

werden. Sorgen Sie für ein sauberes Signal, das

nicht durch den Einsatz des Gain- Reglers beein-

flusst werden muss.

4. Vermeiden Sie Brummschleifen! Auch trotz sym-

metrischer Signalführung kann innerhalb eines Au-

dio Systems ein unangenehmer Brummton ent-

stehen. Ist beispielsweise das Mischpult über das

Netzkabel geerdet und hängt nicht auf dem gleichen

Stromkreis wie L.U.C.A.S 2000, so kann es zu einer

sogenannten Brummschleife kommen. Schließen

Sie deshalb stets das L.U.C.A.S 2000 System und

Mischpult an den gleichen Stromkreis (gleiche

Phase!) an. Sollten Sie trotzdem einmal Brumm-

probleme mit der Anlage haben, so kann der

Ground Lift-Schalter eine große Hilfe sein.

Achtung: Nie die Masse/ Erde am Netzstecker

abkleben - Lebensgefahr!

8 Fehlerbehebung

Die Power On LED und der Netzschalter leuchten

beim Einschalten nicht rot auf.

1. Überprüfen Sie, ob das Netzkabel am Mains Input

angeschlossen ist.

2. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Netz Spannung

führt.

Die Power On LED und der Power-Schalter leuchten

rot auf, aber es kommt kein Ton aus den Boxen.

1. Überprüfen Sie die Anschlusskabel, die Sie an den

Anschlüssen Input Left und Right angeschlossen

haben.

2. Prüfen Sie, ob die Signalquellen (Mischpult,

Keyboard, CD- Player) eingeschaltet sind.

3. Sind die Regler Gain Left und Gain Right aufge-

dreht?

4. Überprüfen Sie die Lautsprecherkabel auf evtl.

Beschädigungen.

5. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Speakon-Stecker in den

Buchsen Satellite Left und Satellite Right einge-

rastet sind (Drehung nach rechts). Nur dann be-

steht eine elektrische Verbindung.

Es kommen nur wenig Bässe aus dem Subwoofer.

1. Überprüfen Sie die Einstellung des Subwoofer

Level Reglers. Stellen Sie mit dem Subwoofer Level

Regler die Lautstärke des Subwoofers wie gewünscht

ein.

Die Musikwiedergabe scheint verzerrt zu sein.

1. Überprüfen Sie die LED Anzeigen an Ihrem Misch-

pult. Sie sollten sich nicht ständig im roten Bereich

befinden. Nehmen Sie gegebenenfalls die Lautstärke

am Mischpult zurück

2. Sind die LED Anzeigen an Ihrem Mischpult im

grünen Bereich, drehen Sie die Gain Left und Gain

Right Regler an L.U.C.A.S 2000 zurück.

3. Beobachten Sie die LEDs der Limiter-Anzeigen

Limit Left, Limit Right und Limit Subwoofer im

Bedienfeld von L.U.C.A.S 2000. Diese sollten nur

kurz rot aufleuchten. Keinesfalls dürfen sie ohne

Unterbrechung rot aufleuchten. In diesem Fall

drehen Sie die Gain Regler im Bedienfeld von

L.U.C.A.S 2000 zurück.

Störende Brummtöne

1. Überprüfen Sie die Kabel, mit der die Signalquelle

und L.U.C.A.S 2000 verbunden sind. Ersetzen Sie

beschädigte Kabel.

2. Falls die Ursache des Brummens nicht gefunden

werden kann, drücken Sie den Ground Lift-Schalter.

In den meisten Fällen kann damit Abhilfe geschaffen

werden.

Bien que les étages de puissance présentent une

efficacité extrêmement élevée de plus de 90 %, ils ont

une plus petite taille, sont très compacts et moins

lourds que les étages de puissance traditionnels. La

sollicitation thermique réduite des composants

augmente la fiabilité. Le temps plus rapide de montée

(slew-rate) et le facteur d'atténuation agrandi sont

audibles par une réponse dynamique nettement

accélérée des systèmes.

La nouvelle bride pour pied DuoTilt™ permet de

bénéficier de l'énergie sonore complète. Grâce aux

angles d'orientation de 7,5° et 15° du DuoTilt™, les

satellites peuvent être positionnés de manière

optimale vers les auditeurs. Les réflexions perturba-

trices au plafond sont évitées, le son devient plus

impressionnant et plus clair.

1 Constituants du système

L.U.C.A.S 2000

Caisson de basses. Le corps du L.U.C.A.S 2000 se

présente sous forme de caisson basse réflexe. Le

caisson de basses est constitué par un haut-parleur

18” spécialement conçu pour HK AUDIO.

Satellites. Les satellites sont également en version

caisson basse réflexe. Ils sont munis d'une unité de

graves/médiums 12” et d'un moteur 1” B&C à

pavillon CD 60°x 40°.

La nouvelle bride pour pied pour enceinte DuoTilt™

HK AUDIO intégrée assure une utilisation plus

efficiente de l'énergie acoustique. Avec deux angles

de positionnement différents de 7,5° et de 15°, les

L.U.C.A.S 2000 peuvent être orientés de manière

optimale vers le public. De cette manière, les

réflexions au plafond perturbatrices sont mini-

misées, le son est transparent et impressionnant.

L'enceinte est toujours sur le centre de gravité : pas

de vacillement, pas de basculement, pas de

déplacement accidentel.

Le choix de l'angle DuoTilt de 7,5° ou de 15° dépend

de la hauteur requise des satellites ainsi que des di-

mensions (de la hauteur) de l'espace à sonoriser.

Nota : Les composants système sont en parfaite

harmonie du point de vue acoustique et ont

exclusivement le droit d'être exploités dans la

configuration stipulée. En cas d'utilisation d'autres

satellites, la qualité du son risque d'être négative-

ment influencée ou l'étage de puissance risque

d'être endommagé.

2 Eléments de commande

Caisson de basses L.U.C.A.S 2000

1 Input left/right (douille combi). Connecteur femelle

d'entrée symétrisée électronique pour le signal de la

table de mixage (pin 1= Ground, 2= +, 3= -). Il est

également possible d'utiliser un câble avec jack

stéréo.

2 Through Left, Right. Sortie parallèle pour la trans-

mission du signal Line (à gauche ou à droite), p. ex.

à d'autres systèmes, composants individuels, étages

de puissance de moniteur, etc.

3 Satellite Left et Satellite Right. Raccordez les

connecteurs femelles de sortie Speakon

avec les

satellites L.U.C.A.S 2000 de gauche et de droite.

4 Mains Input. Reliez ce connecteur femelle au

moyen du cordon d'alimentation secteur PowerCon

fourni à la fiche secteur.

Attention ! Observez les tensions admissibles. En

effet, le raccordement à une tension secteur non

correcte est susceptible de détruire les éléments

électroniques du système L.U.C.A.S 2000.

5 Interrupteur principal Power. L'interrupteur princi-

pal Marche/Arrêt pour le système d'activation. A

l'état activé, l'interrupteur est allumé rouge. En plus,

la LED rouge dans la partie supérieure du panneau

de commande est allumé lorsque l'état est "actif".

6 Gain Left, Gain Right. Potentiomètre assurant

l'adaptation de l'étage de puissance au signal

d'entrée, évitant ainsi des distorsions en présence de

niveaux de signal défavorables.

7 Subwoofer Level. Potentiomètre pour l'adaptation

du volume sonore du caisson de basses.

8 LED des limiteurs. Indications des états de

fonctionnement des limiteurs : vert = signal,

rouge = limiteur actif L'état du limiteur du trajet de

signal gauche et droit ainsi que du caisson de basses

est indiqué par une propre LED.

9 LED Power On. Cette LED est allumée si l'interrup-

teur principal Power (cf. au dos) est positionné sur

On et si le système est sous tension.

10 Ground. Commutateur Ground-Lift pour la

séparation du signal et de la masse du boîtier en cas

de problèmes de ronflements. A l'état enfoncé, la

masse est coupée.

Satellite L.U.C.A.S 2000

1 Input . Douille Speakon

NL 4 (pin 1+ = +, 1-= -) La

connexion électrique n'est établie que lorsque le

connecteur Speakon

est tourné vers la droite et

s’est encliqueté. Avant de débrancher, il convient de

supprimer la sécurisation. A cet effet, tirer la ferme-

ture à baïonnette dans le sens du câble.

3 Mise en place et câblage

Raccordez le câble de signaux (Master left/right,

Line out ou semblable) venant de votre table de

mixage aux prises symétrisées INPUT à un câble

pour micro XLR ou d'un câble avec jack. Ce faisant,

les broches de la fiche XLR doivent être affectées

comme suit : 1= Ground, 2= +, 3= -

Reliez les satellites du système L.U.C.A.S 2000 au

moyen de câbles de haut-parleurs Speakon aux

sorties Satellite left et Satellite right.

Orientation horizontale des satellites L.U.C.A.S

2000 au moyen du HK Audio DuoTilt™

Le HK Audio DuoTilt™ permet d'orienter les

L.U.C.A.S 2000 à l'horizontale. De cette manière,

des réflexions gênantes au plafond peuvent être

évitées ou diminuées. Avec l'ouverture avant dans le

HK Audio DuoTilt™, l'angle d'inclinaison est de 7,5°

et, avec l'ouverture arrière, de 15°.

Si les satellites sont utilisés sur un trépied entière-

ment extrait pour enceinte ou sur une barre, il

faudrait se servir de l'angle 15° afin de minimiser le

plus possible les réflexions au plafond.

4 Mise en service

Veillez à ce que l'interrupteur Power-On soit

positionné sur Off et à ce que le câble d'alimentation

secteur soit raccordé et fixé dans l'éclisse prévue à

cet effet.

Attention : Si vous raccordez le L.U.C.A.S 2000 à

une tension secteur erronée, vous risquez

d'endommager gravement les étages de puissance !

Fermez le potentiomètre d'amplification (Gain)

(butée à gauche).

Veillez à ce qu'avant la mise en marche, le système

soit connecté aux satellites et à ce que tous les aut-

res constituants raccordés aient déjà été activés.

Attention ! Les connecteurs Speakon doivent être

tournés vers la droite et s'encliqueter !

Aussi bien la table de mixage raccordée que toutes

les sources de signal qui y sont reliées (comme

keyboards, amplis d'instruments, effets, etc.)

devraient avoir été préalablement activées.

Le système L.U.C.A.S 2000 devrait être toujours mis

en marche le dernier, c'est-à-dire après tous les

autres composants et devrait être mis hors marche

(=inactivé) en premier, c'est-à-dire avant tous les

appareils raccordés. Après la mise en marche par

l'interrupteur principal Power On/Off (qui s'allume

en rouge si la tension est appliquée et s'il est

positionné sur "On"), tournez les potentiomètres

Gain Left et Right entièrement vers la droite

(= 0 dBV).

5 Ajustages

Potentiomètres Gain Left et Right. En cas d'appari-

tion de distorsions ou de surcharges, vérifiez les

sources des signaux et réduisez-y, si possible, le

signal de sortie. Observez les indications des

limiteurs. Si ceux-ci s'allument, il faut réduire le

volume sonore ! Si le signal vers le L.U.C.A.S 2000

ne peut pas être modifié de cette manière, adaptez

le au moyen des potentiomètres ”Gain” (cf. égale-

ment sous Astuces).

Subwoofer Level. En position médiane, le volume

sonore du caisson de basses est adapté aux

satellites et assure une impression sonore homo-

gène avec part de basse et médium/aigu équilibrée

(satellite). En tournant le potentiomètre Subwoofer

Level vers la gauche ou vers la droite, vous pouvez,

selon vos souhaits, réduire (jusqu'à -12 dB) ou

augmenter (jusqu'à +6 dB) le volume sonore du

caisson de basses.

Interrupteur Ground Lift. En cas d'apparition de

ronflements à basses fréquences, actionnez l'inter-

rupteur Ground Lift. Si cette opération n'est pas

couronnée de succès, vérifiez l'état des câbles qui

mènent au L.U.C.A.S 2000 ainsi que de tous les

signaux qui arrivent à la table de mixage (cf. égale-

ment sous Astuces).

6 Astuces

1. Ne laissez jamais de liquide se trouver au contact

de l'électronique ! En cas d'utilisation à l'extérieur,

veillez à ce que votre système soit convenablement

protégé contre les précipitations. Des boissons non

alcoolisés, de la bière, du vin ou d'autres liquides

quelconques ne doivent pas être au contact de

l'électronique. Il y a sinon risque de courts-circuits.

2. Assurez-vous que les caissons de basses aient

suffisamment de place par rapport aux murs et

qu'ils ne soient pas recouverts par des rideaux ou

semblables. Ce n’est que de cette manière que le

refroidissement des étages de puissance est assuré.

3. Evitez les distorsions ! En effet, les distorsions ne

sont pas seulement désagréables à l'oreille des

auditeurs mais sont également dangereuses pour

votre installation. Veillez à ce que tous les compo-

sants raccordés directement et indirectement au

système L.U.C.A.S 2000 disposent d'une puissance

suffisante et à ce qu'ils ne produisent jamais de

distorsions car exploités jusqu'à leur ultime limite.

Assurez la délivrance d'un signal net et clair qui

n'ait pas besoin d'être influencé par l'utilisation du

potentiomètre Gain.

4. Evitez les boucles de ronflements ! Même en

présence d'un signal symétrisé, un son de ronfle-

ment désagréable risque de devenir audible au sein

d'un système audio. Si, par exemple, la table de

mixage est mise à la terre par le cordon d'alimen-

tation secteur et n'est pas alimentée sur le même

circuit de courant que le système L.U.C.A.S 2000, ce

que l'on appelle une "boucle de ronflement" est

susceptible d'apparaître. C'est pourquoi vous devez

toujours raccorder le L.U.C.A.S 2000 et votre table

de mixage au même circuit de courant (même phase

!). Toutefois, si vous vous trouvez malgré tout

confronté(e) à des problèmes de ronflement de

l'installation, c'est l'interrupteur Ground Lift qui

peut s'avérer extrêmement utile.

Attention : Ne collez jamais la terre de la fiche

secteur - Danger de mort !
