SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! DO NOT let comfort or familiarity with product (gained
from repeated use) replace strict adherence to the tool safety rules.
If you use this tool unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious
personal injury.
WARNING! The welding mask does not protect against severe
impact hazards, explosions or corrosive liquids. Machine guards
or eye splash protection must be used when these hazards are
present.
WARNING! Using filter forms from any other manufacturer’s welding
mask can seriously impaired the protection provided and may result
in serious personal injury.
1. Use the correct tool for the job. This welding mask was designed for a
specific function. Do not modify or alter this welding mask or use it for
an unintended purpose.
2. Do not use the tool if any parts are damaged, broken or misplaced.
Repair or replace the parts.
3. This welding mask is not recommended for overhead welding
applications, laser welding or laser cutting applications.
4. In the event of electronic failure, the filter remains dark at Shade 15
to protect against UV and IR radiation.
5. Use the auto-darkening welding filter with inner and outer cover
lenses. Never open or tamper with the filter cartridge.
6. Ensure the front cover lens is mounted before use. Remove the
protective film.
7. Ensure that the lens is clean and there is no dirt or spatter covering
the four sensors at the front of the filter cartridge.
8. Inspect all parts for signs of wear or damage. Any scratched or
cracked parts should be replaced prior to use.
9. Never place the welding mask on a hot surface.
10. Arc rays can burn both eyes and skin. Arc welding produces intense
visible and invisible (ultraviolet and infrared) rays. Wear a welding
mask fitted with the proper shade to protect your face and eyes
when welding or watching.
11. Check whether welding or grinding mode is chosen before use.

12. The reaction of the filters liquid crystal will be slower if the ambient
temperature is low, but it will not affect protective functions.
13. Replace the protective lenses immediately if broken or scratched. The
damage will obscure vision and reduce the filters protective
performance.
14. The welding hood included in this kit is flame-retardant. This welding
hood does not provide protection against molten metals.

DELAY TIME
Delay time refers to the time the cartridge filter is set to change from the
dark to bright state after welding stops. The delay can be adjusted up to a
0.9 second delay.
A short delay is suitable for spot or short welds. This allows you to track
the progress of the weld. A long delay is better suited for heavy welding
when there is an afterglow.
1. Select the weld mode, then press the DELAY button until the delay
icon (P) flashes.
2. Each press of the DELAY button will add a bar to the delay time. Each
bar increases the delay by 0.2 seconds starting from 0.1 to 0.9
seconds.
SENSITIVITY
Sensitivity is the degree the lens darkens based on the arc brightness and the
amount of light in the work area. This setting can be manually adjusted when
in welding mode.
1. Select the weld mode, then press the SENS. button until the
sensitivity icon (O) flashes.
2. Each press of the SENS. button will add a bar to the sensitivity. Each
bar increases the sensitivity by 0.2 seconds starting from 0.1 to 0.9
seconds.
Low Setting (0.1) Suitable for high amperage welding and
welding in areas with high levels of natural
sunlight.
Medium Setting (0.5) Suitable for most indoors and outdoors
welding.
High Setting (0.9) Suitable for low amperage welding and welding
in areas with low light conditions, especially for
low amperage argon-arc welding.
CUT MODE
WARNING! Do not use these goggles if the cutting task requires a
DIN shade higher than Shade 9. A bright cutting arc can cause
eye or retina damage if the Shade protection is inadequate.
