Please ensure that you have received all the parts and that no parts
are missing or have been damaged during shipment. If in doubt, do
not use the Personal CD Player and contact the service department
immediately.
To ensure that you get many years of enjoyment from this product,
please read the following instructions carefully, and keep in a safe
place for future reference.

Safety instructions:
Before using the unit for the rst time, please read these instructions
carefully.
Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with
that of the local supply before connecting the appliance to the power
supply.
The unit is intended for indoor, domestic use only. It should not be
used for commercial applications.
The unit contains no user serviceable parts. All repairs must be
carried out by a qualied person. Incorrect repairs may place the user
at risk of harm, and will invalidate any guarantee.
Do not operate the unit after it has malfunctioned, or if it has been
dropped or damaged in any way.
Do not expose to dripping or splashing.
Never place any heavy objects, or any containers lled with liquid on
top of the unit.
Do not leave the unit near heat sources, or in direct sunlight, or
anywhere that is excessively dusty, sandy or humid.
Always unplug the unit when it is not in use.
Do not insert any foreign objects into any of the outlets on the unit.
The unit is not a toy. It must not be used by children less than eight
years of age.
The unit must not be used by anyone with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction on how to use it safely.

The CD Player is powered with either two AA (UM-3) batteries or an
AC adaptor. Please note: Both the batteries or AC adaptor are not
supplied.
Using batteries (NOT SUPPLIED)
1. Open the battery compartment (11) on the back of the CD player by
sliding open and gently pulling upwards the battery door.
2. Check the polarity (+/-) inside the battery compartment.
3. Insert two AA (UM-3) batteries according to the polarity.
4. Re-close the battery door.
For best performance and extended operating time, we recommend
using alkaline batteries.
IMPORTANT!
Please always ensure batteries are correctly installed. Incorrect
polarity can damage your Personal CD Player.
Never mix old and new batteries.
Never mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) and rechargeable (nickel-
cadmium) batteries.
If you are not planning to use your Personal CD Player for an
extended period of time, always remove the batteries. Old or leaking
batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
Never dispose of batteries in a re - batteries can leak or explode.

Using an AC adaptor (NOT SUPPLIED)
1. Insert the DC plug (at the end of the AC adaptor cord) into the DC
input jack (9)
2. Plug the AC adaptor into a 220/230V~ 50Hz AC power socket.
3. The CD Player will automatically disconnect from using battery
power and operate using the AC adaptor.
IMPORTANT!
Only use an adaptor with an output voltage rated as DC 4.5V 650mA,
with a centre negative plug.
Earphones
Please do not use earphones while driving, cycling or operating any
motorised vehicle.
Do not play your earphones at high volume while walking, especially
when crossing roads as this can be dangerous.
Avoid using earphones at high volume. Hearing experts advise
against continuous, loud and extended play. If you experience a
ringing in your ears, reduce volume or discontinue use.
Always keep volume at a moderate level so you are able to hear
outside sounds and take those around you into consideration.
Keep clean using a soft, dry cloth.
Never immerse in water.

Loading a CD
1. Gently press the OPEN button (5) to open the CD Door (1).
2. Load the CD into the player, label side up.
3. Gently close the CD Door (1).
Playing a CD
1. Connect your earphones to the stereo earphones jack (10)
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (2) to start the unit & play the loaded
CD.
(Electronics shock protection will be activated automatically & “ESP”
will
begin to blink on the DISPLAY)
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (2) to pause the playback anytime
you want.
4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (2) again to resume playback.
Skip/Search when playing a CD
1. Press the button one or more times to skip forward to the
desired track
2. Press & hold the button to scroll forward in the current track.
3. Press the button one or more times to skip backward to the
desired track
4. Press & hold the button to scroll backward in the current track.

Stopping a CD
1. Press the STOP button (3) at any time to stop the CD during
playback.
2. Press the STOP button (3) again to switch off the CD player
Playing tracks on a CD in a programmed order
1. Press the PROG button (7). “00” will begin to blink on the DISPLAY.
2. Press the SKIP/SEARCH button (6) to select the track you wish to
program.
3. Press the PROG button (7) to save the selected track to the
program.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to program up to 20 tracks to play in the order
they are programmed.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (2) to begin playing the programmed
tracks. “PROG” will be showed on the DISPLAY

Other playing modes
1. Press the MODE button (4) once, “ 1” will appear on the DISPLAY,
the CD player will repeat playing the current track continuously.
2. Press the MODE button (4) once again, “ ALL” will appear on
the DISPLAY, the CD player will repeat playing the whole CD
continuously.
3. Press the MODE button (4) once again, “INTRO” will appear on the
DISPLAY, the CD player will play the beginning 10 seconds of every
track on the CD.
4. Press the MODE button (4) once again, “RND” will appear on the
DISPLAY, the CD player will play the tracks randomly.
8. Press the MODE button (4) once again, the CD player will resume
normal playback.
Digital volume control
Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME- button (8) to adjust the volume.
ATTENTION: Avoid prolonged exposure to high sound levels, as
this may cause permanent hearing damage.

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
When the battery replacement indicator, ashes on the display,
replace the batteries.
WARNING!
Any changes or modications to the CD Player that are not expressly
approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment.
Care & Maintenance
Clean with a soft, damp cloth slightly moistened with water or a mild
detergent.
Do not use any chemical cleaners such as alcohol, benzine or
thinners.
Never leave the CD Player in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty
places.
Keep the CDPlayer away from heating appliances and sources of
electrical noise such as uorescent lamps and motors.
