Installation
1. Install sensor(s) into desired positions following the recommended method (see
installation method)
2. Once the sensor(s) has been put into position, connect the sensor cable to the
controller (see connecting to EL3)
3. After your sensor(s) have been connected to the EL3, you will be able to locate them
on the “Sensor List” screen
A. All sensors will default to the “Zone A” grouping. This can be changed
by selecting a sensor and tapping on the icon. From here you can
switch between “Zone A” and “Zone B”
B. You can also select which sensor you want to be the “default” sensor
that is shown on the home screen, by tapping on the sensor card and
check “Home page display”
Tali 3-in-1 VPD Sensor – Overview
Thank you for purchasing the Titan Controls Tali 3-in-1 VPD sensor.
Before use, please check if the HGC702000-VPD sensor is in good condition.
We recommend that you read the HGC702000-VPD manual carefully before installation.
This sensor is designed to monitor the temperature, humidity and air pressure in your
growing environment. From these readings, the sensor will be able to calculate your VPD
(vapor pressure deficit).
Understanding the VPD level in your room will help you to optimize your plant’s growth.
In the process of growing, your plant absorbs water, nutrients, and carbon dioxide from the
atmosphere through transpiration. If the transpiration is too strong, the water absorption rate
of the root system will not keep up with the evaporation rate and the plant will lose water and
wilt. On the other hand, too little water evaporation will cause the soil moisture to be too
high, which will not allow oxygen to circulate. This will cause the roots to be blocked, which
results in reduced nutrient and carbon dioxide intake. Keep the plant’s transpiration within a
good range to get the best growth. For the procedures of planting, cutting, grafting, and
transplantation, maintaining excellent transpiration is the key to maintaining a healthy plant.

invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty. To integrate the Titan Controls Tali VPD sensor
into your system, please follow the recommended installation instructions and be
equipped with appropriate protection devices to protect the sensor from damage.
If installing a sensor in a lightning-prone area with a grounded data logger, please refer
to the application note Lightning Impulse and Grounding Practices.
