this Drinks Maker.
SodaStream glass bottles and 0.5 Litre PET bottles should not be used with this Drinks
Maker, as they are not designed to work with this model.

1. Place Drinks Maker on flat, sturdy surface, in an upright position. Remove packaging
materials. To remove back cover: (i) Put your index finger in the hole;(ii) Grasp back
cover; and (iii) Pull away from unit. Set cover aside.
2. Remove seal and cap from cylinder. Tip Drinks maker forward and insert 60L*
cylinder into Drinks Maker: first downward into the hole in the base of the Drinks
Maker, and then upward into the valve fitting.
3. Turn cylinder clockwise until it stops. Hand-tighten only; DO NOT use tools.
4. Reinstall back cover: tilt back cover toward you; insert bottom tab into slot and push
the cover into place.
GET STARTED – ASSEMBLY
* The 60L cylinders produce up to 60 litres of sparkling drinks, depending on the level
of carbonation and type of Drinks Maker used.
1. Rinse the bottle before using it for the first time. Prior to making
fill carbonating bottles with tap water up to the fill line. For best results, carbonate
chilled water.

2. To insert bottle, make sure that the carbonating block is in its fully upward position
and the bottle loader tab is angled forward. If bottle loader tab is not angled foward, pull it
toward you until it clicks. DO NOT pull carbonating tube.
3. Insert bottle neck into the Snap-Lock. Firmly push bottle up and back. The Snap-Lock
mechanism will catch the bottle firmly and the bottle will drop to vertical position.
4. Put your hand on the carbonating block and press the block firmly down until the
desired LED indicator lights up.
5. The first light from the bottom will indicate mild carbonation. Additional presses
will produce a stronger carbonation and you will see the 2nd or 3rd lights light up
depending on how many times and how long you press the carbonating block.
6. To release bottle, pull carbonating block to its fully upward position.You will hear the
sound of excess gas releasing.
WARNING: DO NOT remove the bottle until you hear the sound of excess C02
releasing.

7. Pull bottle toward you to release bottle from Snap-Lock; the bottle will be released
automatically. Enjoy your carbonated water or add desired flavor.
MAKE SPARKLING DRINKS: ADD FLAVOURING
For SodaCaps: Place a SodaCap on the top of the bottle and press firmly. Flavour will be
immediately released and dissolved. No need to shake. Remove SodaCap. Enjoy your
soda or place bottle cap and tighten.
For Sodamix Bottles: Hold the carbonating bottle at a slight angle, slowly add tthe
desired flavor. Place bottle cap and tighten; then mix with a gentle rolling motion. See
Sodamix bottle for instructions.
REPLACE YOUR CYLINDER
Never use abrasive cleaners or sharp tools to clean. If needed, use a mild hand
dishwashing liquid and a soft, damp cloth to clean. Dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
Wipe the exterior of the Drinks Maker with a soft, damp cloth. Wipe spills in base to keep
base dry.
DO NOT place in water or in a dishwasher. Doing so will seriously damage or destroy
your Drinks Maker.
DO NOT place or store the Drinks Maker close to a heat source such as a kitchen stove.

Every SodaStream carbonating bottle has an expiration date printed on it. DO NOT use
bottle after this date.
The SodaStream Cylinder is provided to you under license. The license allows you to
exchange your empty cylinder for a full one locally at a participating SodaStream-
authorised retailer near you, or you may arrange your exchange online. Visit us at
www.sodastream.com for a list of local retailers and for ordering information. Follow
instructions in “Get Started” to install the new cylinder.

TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR SOURCE DRINKS MAKER
Before you call for service, check the list of problems and solutions below:
DRINKS MAKER DOESN’T WORK:
You might be out of gas; replace your cylinder.
Check that carbonating bottle has been filled up with water to the fill line.
Ensure that the Drinks Maker is always in the upright position.
Cylinder may be loose. DO NOT use tools. Detach the bottle, open the rear cover, and
retighten the cylinder. Apply firm pressure but do not over tighten. If the cylinder is
already firmly in place, it may be empty. Replace with a full cylinder.
WARNING: Use caution when removing cylinder as it may be very cold.
CANNOT PULL BOTTLE LOADER TAB:
Make sure carbonating block is in its fully upward position.
Pull bottle loader tab firmly towards you.
WANT TO RE-CARBONATE A DRINK THAT WAS ALREADY
CARBONATED:
WARNING: FOR YOUR SAFETY: NEVER carbonate again after you add the flavour.
If you have not added Sodamix, you may recarbonate only water, as explained in
"Make Sparkling Water" section.
DANGER: IF YOUR DRINKS MAKER CONTINUES TO RELEASE GAS
AFTER CARBONATION IS FINISHED:
DO NOT REMOVE THE CYLINDER OR THE BOTTLE. LEAVE THE DRINKS MAKER IN
AN UPRIGHT POSITION. DO NOT TOUCH IT UNTIL YOU NO LONGER HEAR GAS
ESCAPING. When the Drinks Maker is no longer releasing gas, remove the
carbonating bottle, and contact your local SodaStream customer service.
IF AFTER INSTALLING A NEW CYLINDER INTO THE DRINKS
MAKER YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF LEAKING GAS:
There may be a pressure leak between the cylinder holder and the valve. Screw the
cylinder tighter into its fitting. DO NOT use tools.
CANNOT GET THE BOTTLE IN:
Make sure the carbonating block is in its fully upward position.
Pull the bottle loader tab toward you until it clicks
Insert bottle into Snap-Lock
Firmly push bottle up and back until it locks.
CANNOT GET THE BOTTLE OUT:
Make sure the carbonating block is in its fully upward position.
Pull the bottle toward you.
YOU HEAR GAS ESCAPING FROM THE BOTTLE:
Bottle may not be properly attached. Allow the Drinks Maker to finish the carbonation
process and then you can detach the bottle and reconnect it, following the
instructions in the “Make Sparkling Water” section.
It is normal to hear a small amount of gas escape at the end of the carbonating
process.
If you have not yet added flavour, try to carbonate to a higher carbonation level.
Check the cylinder. You might be out of gas.
Make sure that you are carbonating chilled water.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE POOR CARBONATION:
Check that the carbonating bottle is filled to just below the fill line.
Verify that the carbonating bottle is firmly installed in the Snap-Lock. Check by gently
pulling the bottom of the bottle.
IF WATER OVERFLOWS FROM THE CARBONATING BOTTLE
DURING CARBONATION:
IF YOUR SPARKLING DRINK IS NOT FLAVOURFUL ENOUGH:
Just add more flavour to taste!
DO NOT re-carbonate after adding the flavour.
WARNING: If you suspect your Drinks Maker is damaged, stop using it immediately
and call your local SodaStream Customer Service.
Great care has been taken to ensure that your Source Drinks Maker was delivered to you
in good condition. However, if your Drinks Maker malfunctions within 24 months from
date of purchase, and we determine the problem is due to faulty workmanship or
materials, SodaStream will repair or replace it free of charge at SodaStream’s
discretion. SodaStream may replace your unit with an equivalent machine if the model
you purchased is no longer available.
This warranty DOES NOT cover:
Abuse, misuse, or commercial use.
Modification, disassembly, or repair by a servicer other than an authorised
SodaStream Service Center.
Damage resulting from use of Drinks Maker with non-SodaStream cylinders or
carbonating bottles.
Only SodaStream, or its agents, are authorised to provide warranty repairs or service
to your Drinks Maker. Repair by a third party voids the warranty. If your product is in
need of warranty services, please contact your local SodaStream Customer Service.

If SodaStream or its authorised agents determine that the malfunction was caused by
misuse, SodaStream will repair the Drinks Maker only upon payment of the determined
repair charge.
Battery replacement: If the battery powering the LED lights needs to be replaced, please
contact your local SodaStream Customer Service for details on how to replace it. Please
do not remove the battery from the Source by yourself.
Your Drinks Maker has been designed to operate with a genuine SodaStream cylinder.
Use of other CO2 cylinders is not recommended as they may not be compatible with the
SodaStream product. Damages resulting from the use of a cylinder other than the
SodaStream cylinder are not covered by this warranty. Replacement cylinders are
available from authorised SodaStream retailers or may be obtained online at
www.sodastream.com.
SODASTREAM CARBONATING BOTTLES
Your Drinks Maker has been designed to operate with a suitable SodaStream
carbonating bottle. Damages resulting from the use of a bottle other than a SodaStream
bottle are not covered by this warranty.
Before each use, check the expiry date on the carbonating bottle. Replace expired
bottles with new ones. Please recycle your expired bottles in accordance with local
recycling laws.

Your machine contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled. The
Source contains a 3V lithium 2/3A size battery (CR123A). The crossed out wheel bin
symbol shown here above means that this product contains a battery and may be
classified as electronic equipment. The waste battery and the machine should not be
discarded along with other household or commercial waste at the end of their working
period after “life”, but must be collected separately, and should not be disposed of with
other household or commercial waste at the end of their working life. Batteries contain
substances that may be hazardous and present a risk to human health and the
environment when they are not handled correctly as waste.
If the battery powering the LED lights needs to be replaced, please contact SodaStream
Customer Service for details on how to replace it. Please do not remove the battery from
the Source by yourself, as this should only be done by a professional.
This machine is labeled in accordance with European Directive on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE) (Recast) (2008/0241 (COD), adopted 19 July 2011, and
2002/96/EC) and the Batteries Directive (2006/66/EC). The WEEE Directive has been put

SodaStream Warranty Additional Information
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also
entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The issuer of this warranty is SodaStream Australia Pty Ltd. (“SodaStream”), 21

[email protected]. Should this product suffer a major failure or other
reasonably foreseeable damage, contact us at the above phone number, email or

purchase, which means that a major defect in the product and the consumer’s

1. Placez la machine sur une surface plane et ferme, à la verticale. Retirez les matériaux
d’emballage.
Retirez le couvercle arrière en positionnant votre doigt dans l’emplacement prévu à
cet effet. Prenez le couvercle arrière et retirez-le de l'appareil. Mettez le couvercle de
côté.
2. Retirez l’opercule et le bouchon du cylindre. Inclinez la Machine à soda vers
l’avant et insérez le cylindre de 60 litres* dans la Machine : d’abord vers le bas
dans le trou à la base de la Machine à soda, puis vers le haut dans le logement de
la valve.
3. Tournez le cylindre dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce qu’il soit
bloqué. Serrez à la main uniquement
N’UTILISEZ PAS d’outils.
4. Réinstallez le couvercle arrière en l’inclinant vers vous, puis insérez l’ergot de sa base
dans la fente et appuyez sur le couvercle pour le mettre en place.

préparer votre boisson, remplissez les bouteilles de gazéification avec de l'eau du
robinet jusqu'à la ligne de remplissage. Pour des résultats optimaux, utilisez de
l'eau fraîche. Laisser la bouteille une nuit au réfrigérateur.
RÉALISATION D'EAU GAZEUSE
2. Pour insérer la bouteille, assurez-vous que le bloc de gazéification est en position
verticale complète et que le levier de fixation de la bouteille est orienté vers l’avant. Si
le levier de fixation de la bouteille n’est pas orienté vers l’avant, tirez-le vers vous
jusqu’à entendre un clic. NE TIREZ PAS LE TUBE D’INJECTION.
3. Insérez le goulot de la bouteille dans le dispositif de fixation. Poussez fermement la
bouteille vers le haut et vers l’arrière. Le système de fermeture à clips maintiendra la
bouteille fermement et celle-ci viendra se positionner à la verticale.

4. Mettez votre main sur le bloc de gazéification de la machine et appuyez fermement
sur le bloc vers le bas à l'aide de brèves pressions jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez le
bruit du gaz.
5. Le premier voyant lumineux produira une gazéification légère. Des pressions
supplémentaires produiront une gazéification plus forte et vous verrez le second ou
troisième voyant lumineux s'allumer selon le nombre de fois que vous appuierez sur
le bloc de gazéification. Vous entendrez le bruit du gaz qui se libère à chaque fin de
cycle de gazéification.
6. Pour libérer la bouteille, tirez le bloc de gazéification jusqu’à sa position verticale
complète.
ATTENTION : NE RETIREZ PAS la bouteille durant le cycle de gazéification.

7. Tirez la bouteille vers vous pour la dégager du dispositif de verrouillage et elle se
dégagera automatiquement. Ajoutez ensuite la saveur dans votre bouteille d’eau
gazéifiée en inclinant votre bouteille et en versant tout doucement. Un bouchon pour
un litre. Fermez la bouteille, n’utilisez plus la machine. Le concentré va se diluer dans
votre bouteille en l’inclinant de gauche à droite doucement.
AJOUT DE SAVEUR
Pour Sodacaps: Placez la capsule tout en haut de la bouteille et appuyez fermement.
L'arôme se mélangera immédiatement à l'eau. Il est inutile de remuer. Remettez le
bouchon de la bouteille et serrez-le. Dégustez!
Pour SODAMIX les concentrés en bouteilles: Tenez la bouteille en l’inclinant
légèrement et ajoutez lentement votre arôme préféré en le laissant couler dans la
bouteille. Remuez pour mélanger. Consultez les instructions détaillées sur la bouteille du
concentré.
