Stage One: Sediment Filter
The Sediment lter reduces particulate materials such as sand, rust, and ne particles from the water
supply. This rst stage also acts as a pre-lter protecting and extending the life of the following lters.
Stage Two: Pre-Carbon Plus Filter
This second stage lter signicantly reduces harmful VOCs , chlorine, and soluble contaminants
which can damage the RO Membrane lter.
Stage Three: RO Membrane Filter
The RO lter works by pushing water through a semi-permeable membrane thereby separating
H2O molecules from contaminants in tap water. The powerful RO Membrane signicantly reduces
pollutants such as: heavy metals, cysts, uoride, arsenic, industrial chemicals, and more.
Stage Four: Post Carbon Block Filter
As the nal stage in the ltration process, the Post Carbon Block lter further reduces any lingering
water contaminants such as chlorine and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), improving the overall
taste and odor of the dispensed water.
THE FOURSTAGE WATER FILTRATION PROCESS

DRAIN VALVE
HERE
1. If there is an existing drain connection for a 1/4-inch quick connect tube, then use this connection.
Otherwise, locate a suitable area on the sink drain pipe to install the provided drain clamp.
NOTE: Select a location for
the drain hole based on the
design of the plumbing. It
should be installed above the
trap and on the vertical or
horizontal tail piece. Locate
the drain connection away
from the garbage disposal.
See example to the right.
2. Once a suitable spot has been selected for the drain clamp,
drill a 1/4-inch hole into one side of the pipe. Be sure to
use a suitable drill bit for the material being drilled into (for
example: PVC versus Metal Pipe) and be sure to use safety
goggles.
NOTE: Starting with the 1/8-inch drill bit, drill a 1/8-inch hole
in the drain pipe. Use the 1/4-inch drill bit to enlarge the hole.
If you do not have a 1/8-inch drill bit, then you can just use
the 1/4-inch bit. Clean the debris from the pipe and the hole
before continuing.
STEP 3: DRAIN CLAMP INSTALLATION
WARNING: this step may require drilling into the existing drain pipe. Please seek
professional help when completing this step and always wear safety protection including
safety goggles!
DO NOT drill all the way through the pipe.

normal operation during the very rst use or when completing a lter change.
STEP 1: FLUSHING THE SYSTEM
1. Turn the provided faucet on all the way for 10 minutes to purge all the air out of the system. It is
normal for some water to ow out of the faucet during this rst purge.
2. After the initial 10 minute purge, turn the provided faucet o and let the system run for 40
minutes to allow the water tank to ll for the rst time.
3. After 40 minutes, turn the faucet on all the way once more for 10 minutes (or until the tank
empties) to ush the lters and the water tank.
4. Turn the faucet o.
5. The tank will ll again in approximately 40 minutes, and then ltered water will be ready to drink.
6. Record installation date on the lter change sticker chart and place sticker inside the front cover,
under the sink cabinet on the door, or another safe accessible place.

FILTER REPLACEMENT CYCLE
Contact Brondell at 888-542-3355, or visit us on the Web at www.brondell.com to order
replacement lters.
The lters are critical to the performance of the Circle Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration system, and
it is important to replace all of the lters on a regular basis. If any of the lters are overused beyond
the recommended service life, the performance of the water ltration device can deteriorate. Do not
miss the lter replacement cycle or use non-compatible lters as this can aect system performance
or damage the unit.
The LED lter change indicator in the faucet works by tracking both time and water ow from the
Circle RO system. When 6 months time or 475 gallons of water has been ltered through the system
(whichever comes rst), the LED will ash red when dispensing water instead of ashing blue.
When the faucet LED indicator begins to ash red, it’s now time to change the lters and reset the
faucet indicator by replacing the battery.
Note: a new battery is always included with the RF-20 lter replacement set.
FILTERS AND FILTER CHANGE INDICATOR
The lter replacement cycle may be increased for areas with poor water quality or
greater use.
The period for the lter exchange is based on an average production of 2.6
gallons of drinking water per day.
16
FILTER REPLACEMENT
HOW TO REPLACE THE FILTERS
4. Turn the lter(s) to be replaced a quarter-turn counter-
clockwise until the unlock arrow on the lter label lines up
with the arrow on lter base above it. Pull down to remove.
3. Remove the front cover from the Circle as shown.
Match this to the arrow on the lter base
2. Once the tank has drained, close the T-valve under the sink to
shut o the ow of water to the Circle.
Turn the faucet o.
1. Turn the Indicator faucet on all the way and keep it on until
the water tank is emptied completely. Keep the faucet on, in
order to release any leftover pressure in the system.
NOTE: Since this water is ltered water, you may want to

6. After replacing lters, locate the lter change sticker chart and write down the date and lters
changed on the chart. It’s important to track each lter change since the RO lter is on a dierent
cycle than the other 3. Here’s the replacement cycle:
After 6 months: replace 3 lter set (RF-20) and replace faucet battery
After 12 months: replace 3 lter set (RF-20) and replace faucet battery
After 18 months: replace 3 lter set (RF-20) and replace faucet battery
After 24 months: replace 3 lter set (RF-20), the RO lter (RF-40), and replace faucet battery
Note: Brondell provides a new faucet battery replacement with each RF-20 lter set and a new
lter change sticker chart with each RF-40.
5. Install the new lter by aligning the arrow indicators on the
lter label (a) and lter base above (b) as shown. Push up.
Turn a quarter-turn counter-clockwise until the lter stops.
The lter base arrow should now point to the “lock arrow
on the lter label. Repeat with any remaining lters to be
changed
Important: Be sure when replacing the lters that
you install the new ones in the correct location by
referring to the color coded sticker on the machine
and matching to the colored lter labels. Failure
to replace the lters in the correct location may
damage the machine and lters.
