IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: When using electric appliances, basic precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. Keep AAA batteries away from small children. If swallowed promptly see a doctor and
have the doctor phone (202) 625-3333 collect.
2. Do not install the batteries backwards, follow the + and - symbols as shown in the
instructions. Do not charge or put in a fire. Do not mix battery types. Do not mix old
and new batteries. The batteries may explode or leak causing injury.
3. Do not leave discharged batteries in the product for an extended period of time as this
could permanently damage the product.
4. Replace all batteries at the same time.

3. Ne laissez pas des piles déchargées dans le produit pendant une longue période de
temps, puisque ceci risque d’endommager le produit de façon permanente.
4. Remplacez toutes les piles en même temps.

TO INSTALL OR REPLACE BATTERIES IN HEAdLAMP
Your new headlamp operates on three “AAA” cell batteries. For longest life, use
alkaline batteries.
1. Use the end of the strap buckle as a “Key” (Fig. 1), and insert it into the slot of the
battery cover located on the side of the headlamp (Fig. 2).
2. Remove battery door by rotating counterclockwise 1/4 turn (Fig. 3).
Note: Battery door is designed to stay attached to the strap buckle “Key”.
3. Remove battery cartridge from headlamp body by turning on side and shaking gently
(Fig. 4).
Note: The cartridge is easily removed if batteries are installed, but may require
additional shaking if no batteries are in the cartridge.
4. Install three batteries in the correct orientation as shown on the battery cartridge
housing (Fig. 5).
5. Properly align battery cartridge and then re-load back into the headlamp body (Fig. 6).
6. Properly locate battery door, and then rotate clockwise 1/4 turn to fully secure (Fig. 7).
7. Remove “Key” from battery door by pulling gently on the strap buckle.
MISE EN PLACE OU REMPLACEMENT dES PILES dE LA
LAMPE FRONTALE
Votre nouvelle lampe frontale est alimentée par trois piles «AAA». Utilisez de préférence
des piles alcalines, elles procurent l’autonomie la plus longue.
1. Employez le bout de la boucle de la sangle comme «clé» (fig. 1) et insérez-le dans
la fente de la porte du compartiment des piles qui se trouve sur le côté de la lampe
frontale (fig. 2).
2. Retirez la porte du compartiment des piles en la tournant d’un quart de tour en sens
antihoraire (fig. 3).
Remarque: La porte du compartiment des piles est étudiée pour rester attachée à la
«clé» de la boucle.
3. Sortez le module des piles du corps de la lampe frontale en tournant le corps de côté
puis en le secouant délicatement (fig. 4).
Remarque: Le module est facile à retirer lorsqu’il est garni de piles, mais il peut être
nécessaire de le secouer plus longuement lorsqu’il est vide.
4. Placez les trois piles en les orientant correctement, tel qu’indiqué sur le boîtier du
module (fig. 5).
5. Faites concorder le module afin de le replacer dans le corps de la lampe frontale
(fig. 6).
6. Localisez la porte du compartiment des piles puis tournez-la d’un quart de tour en
sens horaire pour la fermer solidement (fig. 7).
7. Séparez la «clé» de la porte du compartiment des piles en tirant délicatement sur la
boucle de la sangle.

Limited Three Year Warranty
The Coleman Company, Inc. (“Coleman”) warrants that for a period
of three (3) years from the date of original retail purchase, this product
will be free from defects in material and workmanship. Coleman,
at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component
of the product found to be defective during the warranty period.
Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or
component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be
made with a similar product of equal or greater value. No warranty is
provided for batteries and light bulbs. This is your exclusive warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date
of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales
receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance.
Coleman dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling Coleman
®
products do not have the right to alter, modify or in any way change
the terms and conditions of this warranty.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts, parts that are
not genuine Coleman
®
parts, or damage resulting from any of the
following: negligent use or misuse of the product; use on improper
voltage or current; commercial use of the product; use contrary to
the operating instructions; disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone
other than Coleman or an authorized service center. Further, the
warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes
and tornadoes. Warranty void if damage to the product results from
the use of a part other than a genuine Coleman
®
part.
COLEMAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DEFECTS THAT ARE
CAUSED BY THE USE OF UNAUTHORIZED PARTS OR SERVICE.
COLEMAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE BREACH OF ANY
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITIONS. EXCEPT
TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR
A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE
DURATION OF THE ABOVE WARRANTY OR CONDITIONS. SOME
STATES, PROVINCES, OR JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE
EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED
WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION
MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC
LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT
VARY FROM STATE TO STATE OR PROVINCE TO PROVINCE.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
Your product must be under warranty in order to obtain warranty
service. If your product is defective and is within your warranty period,
contact us at 1-800-835-3278 (TDD 1-316-832-8707) in order
to receive a return authorization. Do not return product to Coleman
without authorization. You will be directed to attach a tag to the
product that includes your name, address, daytime telephone number
and description of the problem. Include a copy of the original sales
receipt. Carefully package the product and send insured by
UPS, FedEx Ground or Parcel Post with shipping and insurance
prepaid to:
