cleaning and maintenance
• Clean both the inside and the outside of the appliance regularly.
• Make sure that the appliance is switched off, unplugged and fully cooled down before
cleaning or performing maintenance.

Frying oil
• The oil can be used several times, but we advise you to filter it after each use in order to extract the
crumbs that could accelerate its deterioration.
• Before replacing the oil, make sure that it is fully cooled down.
• Clean the inside of the tank: empty the oil and clean it out with paper towel, and then with a cloth
soaked in soapy water. Wipe using a damp cloth and dry completely.
• The oil can be used several times but it should be replaced at least after every 10 uses. Also
replace it:
- when it starts to foam,
- when it turns a darker colour and
- when it gives off an unusual odour.
Using “new” cooking fat preserves the flavour and lightness of the ingredients.
• Never use the same oil for more than 6months.
• Do not mix used and new oil. Replace the entire tank with new oil.
• Never pour used cooking fat into the sink. Empty it in a drain and discard it according to the local
regulations in force.
Cleaning the parts
• Disassemble the deep fryer as described in the previous section.
• Remove the removable tank and empty the oil.
• Wash all the parts in hot, soapy water, except for the control panel with heating element. Rinse
and let dry completely.
• All the parts, except for the control panel with heating element, are fully dishwasher safe.
• Wipe the control panel with paper towel, and then with a soft, slightly damp clean cloth, then dry
completely.
• Reassemble the deep fryer by referring to the “Assembly of the appliance” section.
Storage
• Wind the power cord around the holder located at the back of the control unit.
• Store the appliance and its accessories in a dry, cool place.
• Make sure that the appliance has fully cooled down before placing the baskets inside to store them.
• The oil may be stored inside the deep fryer: place the lid onto the deep fryer and store in a cool place
away from sunlight.
troubleshooting guide
The deep fryer is not working:
• Check that the control unit is correctly installed on the appliance.
• Check to see if you are experiencing a power outage.
• Check the condition of the fuses.
Some of the oil overflows from the deep fryer:
• The tank contains too much oil: stop the appliance and unplug it, then leave it to cool down
completely before removing any excess oil. Make sure that the oil level remains between the ‘MIN’
and ‘MAX’ marks on the tank wall.
• The basket is too full: use a skimmer to remove some of the ingredients, taking care not to burn
yourself.
• The oil is too old: let the appliance and the oil cool down fully before replacing the oil.
The fried ingredients are soggy and becoming greasy:
• The oil is not hot enough: set the thermostat knob to a higher temperature.
• The basket is too full: use a skimmer to remove some of the ingredients, taking care not to burn
yourself.
The ingredients are not cooked enough:
• The oil is too old: let the appliance and the oil cool down fully before replacing the oil.
