• Read and understand these instructions before
installing and operating this product.
• The installation must comply with all applicable local
or national codes, including the latest edition of the
following standards:

1.4 General safety messages
WARNING: Burn, fire, explosion, and/or
carbon monoxide hazard. Failure to obey the
following warnings could result in death or
serious injury:
• This appliance is not intended for commercial use.
• This appliance is not intended to be installed in or on
a boat.
• This appliance is for outdoor installation and use only.
• This appliance must use liquid propane (LP) gas only
from a 20 lb (9 kg) LP gas supply cylinder. The LP gas
supply cylinder must be constructed and marked in
accordance with the specifications for LP gas supply
cylinders, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)
or the Standard for Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes
for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, CAN/
CSA-B339.
• This appliance must be installed by a qualified
service technician. Improper installation, adjustment,
service, or maintenance can cause injury, property
damage, or death. Refer to this manual. For
assistance or additional information, consult a
qualified installer, service agency, manufacturer, or
the gas supplier.
• Do not modify this appliance in any way.
Modification can be extremely hazardous.
• Do not install adjacent to another cooking appliance.
• Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable
vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other
appliance.
• Shut off all the gas appliances and pilot lights when
refueling gasoline or LP gas supply cylinders.
• Gas flames consume oxygen, which must be
replaced to assure proper combustion. Failure to
provide fresh air during combustion can lead to
carbon monoxide poisoning.
• When this appliance is in use, the lid must be fully
open and in the upright position.
• Do not use this appliance in a garage, building,
breezeway, any other enclosed area.
• Do not use this appliance under extended awnings.
• Do not use this appliance under an overhead
unprotected combustible construction.
• Do not use this appliance if the appliance’s back or
sides are within 24 in. (609.6 mm) of combustible
materials.
• Follow all gas leak checking procedures in this
manual prior to operation.
• Do not attempt to disconnect the LP gas or any
LP gas fitting while this appliance is in operation.
• Do not move the grill when operating or while the
grill is hot. Wait for the grill to cool before closing the
lid or sink cover.
• LP gas supply cylinders must be stored outdoors, out
of the reach of children, and must not be stored in
any building, garage, or other enclosed structure.
• Never allow children to operate this appliance.
• Do not lean over the appliance, or place hands or
fingers on the top of the appliance.
• Use heat-resistant mitts or gloves when operating this
appliance.
• Do not use the cover as a griddle or cooking surface.
• Should a grease fire occur, turn off all burners, and
stay away from the appliance until the fire is out.
