LED SETTINGS
The 10 full-colour LEDs (A) above the digital screen are status or an alarm
indicator for the selected instrument field. The LEDs colour, direction and step
interval and alarm can be set in the submenu.
1. Enter the LED Settings submenu (Fig. 11).
2. Edit the MODE field to and use the arrow up and arrow down buttons to
select either ALERT RPM or ALERT SHIFT instrument. Consult Table 2 for
the available instrument alarms.
3. Press the OK button to confirm the selection.
4. Choose the STEP value. There
are four options: 100, 200, 250
or 500 rpm. This is the amount
of RPMs between each LED or
each colour change.
5. Chose to either use the SHOW
MODE or MULTCOLOR for the
method that the LEDs illuminate
to indicate each step.
SHOW MODE
6. Enter the SHOW MODE field to choose the direction for the LEDs to light
up during the step interval. The options are from left to right () or
outside to middle. ().
7. Enter the chosen STEP interval. One LED will light up per each interval
above the default start limit. The interval is calculated differently based on
which direction you’ve chosen in step 4.

a. Left to Right Interval.
The LEDs will remain dark until you reach 4,000 RPM. Then for every
100 RPM after that, another LED will light up, until all 10 LEDs are lit.
When the upper RPM limit is reached, the LEDs will flash.
Interval chosen x 10 = Start of Lower Limit Value
STEP 100 RPM x 10 = 1,000 RPM
5,000 RPM – 1,000 RPM = 4,000 RPM
b. Outside to Middle
The LEDS will remain dark until you reach 4,000 RPM. The LED at
each end will light up. Then for every 200 RPM after that another LED
on each side will light up until the last two LEDs in the middle will
light up. When the upper RPM limit is reached, the LEDs will flash.
Interval chosen x 5 = Start of Lower Limit Value
Step 200 RPM x 5 = 1,000 RPM
5,000 RPM 500 RPM = 4,500 RPM
MULTICOLOUR
The MULTCOLOR option is an alternate method of
displaying the step order with the LEDs. This replaces
the SHOW MODE option.
1. Set MULTCOLOR to ON.
2. When the lowest alarm step is reached, all 10
LEDs will light up in a single colour. As each
subsequent step is reached, the colour will
change in the following order: Interval chosen x
10 = Start of Lower Limit Value
Step 200 RPM x 10 = 2,000 RPM
5,000 RPM – 2,000 RPM = 4,000 RPM
DIMMER
Changing the three DIMMER options (Red, Green and Blue) changes the colour
gradation of the LEDs.

instead of using the default value.
1. Select the IND. Output and switch to ON (Fig. 12).
2. Select the individual setting and
press the OK button so it is

FUNCTIONAL TESTS
WARNING! Only perform these tests at a location
where you will not endanger yourself or
bystanders. Make sure you are driving safely by taking into consideration
the road and weather conditions and the potential of other vehicles or
people appearin on the road unexpectedly.

There are three functional tests: drive, acceleration and braking. The vehicle must be
in motion for these tests to work. You can only perform one test at a time.
1. Select Start and choose one of the three tests. It will appear across from
the word MODE.
a. RST 0-100km/h will test how long it takes your vehicle to reach 100
km/h
b. RST 100-0km/h will test how quickly your vehicle can brake.
c. RST 400m will test your vehicle’s rate of acceleration.
2. Drive until you’ve attained the distance or speed required for the test.
3. Select play and choose the test you wish to view. A new screen will appear
with the data for the test. You can either play it back or save it.
DIAGNOSE
IMPORTANT! Some older vehicles may not provide data results in the
Diagnose screen.
Press SCAN DTCS and the unit will display any Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
errors detected.
Select and press CLEAN DTCS to remove the current list of DCTS errors. You
will not be able to retrieve them.

HEADS-UP DISPLAY (HUD)
The display screen information can be set-up to reflect off the inner windshield
for easy reference without affecting your view of the road.
Due to the limited lumen output, this function is best used at night, as the image
may be washed out on a sunny day.
1. Choose the display configuration you wish to view while driving.
2. Go to the configuration screen and select display settings.
3. Choose Mode, then select Reversed. The display will now be upside down.
4. Push the HUD unit (C) away from you until it is horizontal.
5. You will see the display reflected off your windscreen. Adjust the
brightness until you can see the information, but it does not interfere with
your view of the road.
MANUAL WAKE UP FUNCTION
You can manually start the unit without the motor running. This is necessary
with some engines, as the DTC codes cannot be cleared with a running engine.
1. Turn the vehicle key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
2. Press one of the four button once to bring the unit out of hibernation.
3. Press a button again within a minute to prevent it from reentering
hibernation.
4. Once you have finished your tasks, press one of the four buttons once and
it will reenter hibernation in one minute.
You can also turn off the unit while running the engine by following step 4.
FUEL CONSUMPTION DATA
Obtaining the correct fuel consumption result requires two factors:
1. The fuel consumption calculation requires the selection of the correct fuel
type in System Setting Fuel Type. Chose Gasoline or Diesel based on
your fuel system.
2. The fuel consumption data calculation is based on either the airflow data or
the turbine/inlet pressure. A vehicle without either of these systems will not
display the correct fuel consumption.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to
control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or
worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important information.
If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool. An
improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or by-laws for
electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution if the tool does not function
properly or parts are missing. If unable to do so, have a qualified technician
service the tool.
