Installation & Disposal
1. Insert filter into the designated opening in your home’s
furnace, air conditioning system, or wall/ceiling return
with the arrow on the frame pointing toward the unit’s
blower motor.
2. Track and monitor the life of your filter with the
Filtrete™ Smart App and replace when recommended.
3. To reduce risk of injury, wear cut-resistant gloves.
Prior to filter disposal, carefully separate the sensor from
the used filter according to removal instructions
provided in the Filtrete Smart app and website. Dispose
of sensor promptly, in accordance with local electronics
disposal guidelines.

3. Remove plastic packaging and
paper insert from filter, leaving
cardboard frame intact. To reduce
risk of injury, remove battery tab
to activate the sensor by pulling
tab up and away from metal wire.

+The Filtration Level chart on the front panel is a Filtrete rating system that compares
relative particle capture performance for several important categories of airborne
particles that may pass through your filter. The bar rating indicates the level of particle
capture performance of this filter compared with other Filtrete whole house heating,
ventilation and air conditioning filters.

*Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR)
Filtrete™ Electrostatic Air Filters are rated on their ability to capture the
smallest airborne particles in your home’s air (0.3 microns to 1 micron in
size). The measure of a filter’s ability to capture these small particles is
called Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR). The higher the MPR on
your Filtrete™ Electrostatic Air Filter, the more particles the filter will
capture. This filter’s MPR: 2200.
This product contains a button/coin cell battery.
To properly recycle and dispose of this product, always
follow local electronics and battery recycling regulations.
