PET OWNERS WARNING: The health of some small pets including birds are extremely
sensitive to the fumes produced during the rst-time use of many appliances. These fumes are
not harmful to humans but we recommended that you do not use your heater around birds and
small pets during its initial use until the manufacturing corrosion coatings burn off.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before installing or using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch
hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows,
bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front
of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children
or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
4. Always turn off the power of heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater after it malfunctions, has been dropped or
damaged in any manner. Unplug and return the heater to an authorized
service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or
repair.
6. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, and turn off power to heater
circuit at the main disconnect panel.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and
similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a
bathtub or other water container.
9. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust
opening as this may cause an electric shock or re, or damage the heater.
10. To prevent a possible re, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any
manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may
become blocked.
11. A heater has hot and arcing parts inside. Do not use it in areas where
gasoline, paint or ammable liquids are used or stored.
12. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may cause re, electric shock, or
injury to persons.

Prior to operating heater, make sure the electrical outlet is of the
conguration and capacity appropriate for the heater. See outlet
conguration on front page of manual. This heater is for use on
240 volts. The cord has a plug as shown in Figure 1. No adapter
is available for this blade conguration, and none should be used.
The type outlet is a 240 volt grounding outlet. When properly
installed, it provides a ground connection through the cord to the
heater to protect the operator from electric shock.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO DIRECT THE HEATER TOWARD DRAPERIES, FURNITURE, OR OTHER
OBJECTS THAT COULD BE DAMAGED BY HEAT. DO NOT PLACE THE HEATER WHERE A SMALL
CHILD MAY FALL OVER THE HEATER. DO NOT PLACE THE HEATER WHERE THE POWER CORD
MAY BE WALKED ON, TRIPPED OVER OR OTHERWISE SUBJECTED TO HARD USAGE.

INSTALLATION
The heater may be used on an unnished oor. Place the
heater on oor or other at surface and insert plug into the
proper wall outlet.
WARNING: Do not place or use the heater on carpeting.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, do not store or
use gasoline or other ammable vapours and liquids in the
vicinity of the heater.
FLOOR APPLICATION
The EG4800DGP garage heater include a wall / ceiling
mounting bracket. The bracket should be mounted to
a structure that is capable of supporting the combined
weight of the heater and the bracket. Ideally, the bracket
should be secured to a wall stud, roof truss, or onto a
solid block wall using the proper mounting hardware. The
heater should be mounted as close to the power supply as
possible to avoid the use of an extension cord. Mount with
bottom of heater at least 2.4m / 8ft. above oor or grade
when mounting to a wall or ceiling.
1. Drill two holes in a wall/ceiling, the distance of the
holes should match the bracket.
2. Screw two M10*30 screws (not included) to wall/
ceiling, make sure the bracket is secured.
3. Hang the heater as shown below, secure the heater
to the bracket by inserting a bolt through a washer
(included) into the pre-drilled holes.
4. Secure the bolt with a lock washer and nut (included).

WARNING: Do not tamper with the thermostat
or high limit.
WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE SERVICING.
NOTE: Unplug the unit when not in use.
WARNING: The heater must be properly installed before use.
Set thermostat to its full counterclockwise position. Plug the unit into a properly
grounded 240V outlet. Set the thermostat to the farthest clockwise position. The fan
should come on and the unit will start heating the room. When the room reaches
comfort level, turn the thermostat counterclockwise until the heater turns off.
The heater will cycle automatically around this preset temperature. To increase
temperature, turn the thermostat knob clockwise. To lower temperature, turn the
thermostat counterclockwise.

MAINTENANCE
The heater should be properly cleaned twice a year. Turn thermostat off and remove
plug from electrical outlet and make sure that the heating element of the heater is cool
before cleaning heater. Use a soft cloth for dusting. For cleaning, use only a damp rag
and non-abrasive dish detergent. Do not use abrasive chemical cleaners as these
may harm the nish. If heater is used in very dusty location, use a vacuum cleaner
dust brush to remove dust and other foreign material from the grilles. Always unplug
cord and wrap around heater handle when not in use. Move heater to a safe location
for storage.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
This heater does not require any routine maintenance other than occasional cleaning
to prevent clogging of intake grille opening. To clean air intake grille, use vacuum with
brush attachment or high pressure air. The motor is permanently lubricated. Do not
operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug. Do not operate any heater after the
heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Any other servicing
should be performed by qualied service personnel. Return heater to authorized
service facility for examination, electrical, or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
SERVICE
OPERATION OF THE SAFETY THERMAL LIMIT CONTROL INDICATES THE HEATER HAS BEEN
SUBJECTED TO SOME ABNORMAL CONDITIONS. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE HEATER BE
CHECKED BY A REPUTABLE ELECTRICIAN OR REPAIR SERVICE TO ENSURE THE HEATER HAS
NOT BEEN DAMAGED.

LIMITED WARRANTY:
This limited warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser of this Forced Air/Convection/Radiant Heater and warrants against any defect
in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of retail sale.GHP Group, Inc., at it’s option, will either provide
replacement parts or replace or repair the unit, when properly returned to the retailer where purchased or one of our service centers
as directed by GHP Group,Inc., within one (1) year of retail purchase. (Shipping costs, labour costs,etc. are the responsibility of the purchaser.)
DUTIES OF THE OWNER:
This heating appliance must be operated in accordance with the written instructions furnished with this heater. This warranty shall not excuse
the owner from properly maintaining this heater in accordance with the written instructions furnished with this heater. A bill of sale, canceled
check or payment record must be kept to verify purchase data and establish warranty period. Original carton should be kept in case of
warranty return of unit.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
1. Damage resulting from use of improper fuel.
2. Damage caused by misuse or use contrary to the owners manual and safety guidelines.
3. Damage caused by a lack of normal maintenance.

5. Use of non-standard parts or accessories.
6. Damage caused in transit. Freight charges on warranty parts or heaters to and from the factory shall be the responsibility of the owner.

INFORMACIÓN SOBRE SEGURIDAD
Antes de poner en funcionamiento el calefactor, asegúrese de que
el tomacorriente tenga la conguración y la capacidad correctas
para el calefactor. Consulte la conguración del tomacorriente
en la primera página del manual. Este calefactor está diseñado
para utilizarse con 240 voltios. El cable tiene un enchufe que
se ilustra en la Figura 1. No hay adaptador disponible para
esta conguración de clavijas y no se debe utilizar ninguno. El
tomacorriente es de 240 voltios con toma de tierra. Una vez que
está correctamente instalado, proporciona una conexión con
toma de tierra del cable al calefactor que protege al operador de
choques eléctricos.

USO EN PISO
Los modelo EG4800DGP vienen con un soporte de
montaje para techo. Este soporte debe montarse en
una enstructura que sea apta para sostener el peso
del soporte y del calefactor juntos. Preferentemente el
soporte debería jarse a una viga del techo con tornillería
de montaje adecuada. El calefactors se debe instalar tan
cerca del tomacorriente que se utilizará como sea posible
para no utilizar un cable prolongador. Montar con la parte
inferior del calentador al menos 2.4m / 8pi. por encima del
piso o pendiente cuando se monta en una pared o techo.
1. Realice dos oricios en el techo con un taladro, la
distancia entre ellos debe coincidir con la del soporte.
2. Fije el soporte al techo colocando dos tornillos M10*30
(incluidos), asegúrese de que el soporte esté rme.
3. Cuelgue el calefactor como se indica en la foto debajo,
coloque el tornillo autorroscante (incluido) en el oricio
de la instalación.
4. Fije el tornillo con una tuerca.

Un calefactor puede ser utilizado sobre un suelo sin acabado.
Coloque el calefactor sobre el piso u otra supercie plana e
inserte elenchufe en el tomacorriente de pared.

Coloque el termostato en su posición más extrema en el sentido contrario a las agujas del
reloj. Enchufe la unidad en un tomacorriente de 240 V connectado a tierra correctamente.
Coloque el termostato en su posición más extrema en el sentido de las agujas del reloj. Se
deberá encender el ventiliador y la unidad comenzará a calefaccionar el cuarto. Una vez
que en el lugar se alcance el nivel de temperatura deseado, gira la perilla del termostato
en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj hasta que se apague el calefactor. Este se
encenderá y se apagará automáticamente según alcance esta temperatura preestablecida.
Para aumentar la temperatura, gire la perilla del termostato
en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj. No intente
manipular indebidamente el termostato.

MANTENIMIENTO
El calefactor debe limpiarse adecuadamente dos veces al año. Gire el termostato a la posición
de apagado y retire el enchufe del tomacorriente, asegúrese de que el elemento calefactor
esté frío antes de iniciar la limpieza del calefactor. Utilice un paño suave para quitar el polvo
de la unidad. Para la limpieza, utilice solo un trapo húmedo y detergente para vajilla no
abrasivo. No utilice limpiadores químicos abrasivos dado que estos pueden dañar el acabado
de la supercie del calefactor. Si la unidad se utiliza en lugares con mucho polvo, use una
aspiradora con cepillo para quitar el polvo y otros materiales extraños de las rejillas. Cuando
el calefactor no esté en uso, desenchufe siempre el cable del tomacorriente y enróllelo
alrededor de la manija. Traslade el calefactor a un lugar seguro para su almacenamiento.
LIMPIEZA Y ALMACENAMIENTO
El calefactor no requiere ningún mantenimiento de rutina más que una limpieza ocasional
para evitar que las aberturas de toma de aire de las rejillas se taponen. Para limpiar las
rejillas de toma de aire, utilice una aspiradora con cepillo o de aire comprimido. El motor
está permanentemente lubricado. No ponga el calefactor en funcionamiento si hay un
cable o un enchufe dañado. No ponga en marcha un calefactor que no funcione bien, se
haya caído o dañado de alguna manera. Lleve el calefactor a un servicio autorizado para
que lo revisen, le realicen ajustes eléctricos o mecánicos, o lo reparen.

GARANTÍA LIMITADA:
Esta garantía limitada se extiende al comprador minorista original de este calefactor de aire forzado/convección/radiante, que está garantizado contra defectos
de materiales y mano de obra por un período de un (1) año a partir de la fecha de la venta minorista (garantía de por vida solo para el quemador con boquilla de
bronce). GHP Group, Inc., a su discreción, proporcionará las piezas de repuesto o reparará la unidad, cuando esta sea devuelta a la tienda minorista donde se
compró o a uno de nuestros centros de servicio, según lo indique GHP Group, Inc., dentro de un período de un (1) año a partir de la compra minorista. (Los costos
de envío, los costos de mano de obra, etc. son responsabilidad del comprador).

2. Daños ocasionados por el uso indebido o contrario al manual del propietario y a las pautas de seguridad.
3. Daños ocasionados por la falta de mantenimiento normal.

5. Uso de piezas o accesorios no estándar.
6. Daños ocasionados en el traslado. Los cargos de ete para las piezas o los calefactores en garantía trasladados hacia o desde la fábrica serán
responsabilidad del propietario.
Esta garantía no implica ni asume ninguna responsabilidad de daños indirectos que se podrían ocasionar por el uso, el uso indebido o la falta de mantenimiento
habitual de este artefacto de calefacción. Se podría cobrar una tarifa por limpieza y el costo de las piezas en caso de que las fallas del artefacto se ocasionaran
por falta de mantenimiento. Esta garantía no cubre reclamos que no estén relacionados con la mano de obra o materiales defectuosos. SI NO SE REALIZA

AVERTISSEMENT AUX PROPRIÉTAIRES D’ANIMAUX DOMESTIQUES: Certains petits
animaux domestiques, dont les oiseaux, sont très sensibles aux vapeurs dégagées lors de la

animaux domestiques lors de sa première utilisation, jusqu’à ce que le revêtement anticorrosion

Lors de l’utilisation d’un appareil électrique, les mesures de sécurité de base devraient
toujours être respectées an de réduire les risques d’incendie, de décharge électrique

1. Lisez toutes les instructions avant d’installer ou d’utiliser le radiateur.
2. Le radiateur est chaud lorsqu’il est en fonction. Pour éviter les brûlures,

Gardez les matières combustibles comme les meubles, les oreillers, les
draps, le papier, les vêtements, les rideaux, etc., à au moins 0,9 m (3 pi)

3. Faites preuve d’une extrême prudence lorsqu’un radiateur est utilisé à
proximité d’enfants ou de personnes handicapées ou lorsqu’il est utilisé
par ceux-ci, de même que lorsqu’il fonctionne sans surveillance.
4. Éteignez toujours le radiateur lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.
5. Ne faites pas fonctionner un radiateur après une défaillance. Débranchez et
amenez le radiateur à un centre de réparation autorisé pour une inspection,
une modication électrique ou mécanique ou pour un réparer.
6. Pour débrancher les radiateurs, mettez l’appareil à l’arrêt et éteignez
l’alimentation du circuit de chauffage sur le panneau principal de déconnexion
7. N’utilisez pas ce radiateur à l’extérieur.
8. Ce radiateur n’est pas conçu pour être utilisé dans une salle de bain, une
salle de lavage et des emplacements similaires à l’intérieur. Ne laissez
jamais le radiateur là où il pourrait tomber dans une baignoire ou dans un
autre contenant d’eau.
9. N’insérez aucun corps étranger (et empêchez qu’il s’en introduise) dans

10. Pour prévenir un éventuel incendie, ne bloquez les entrées et sorties
d’air du radiateur d’aucune manière. N’utilisez pas cet appareil sur des

sur un lit.
