At the middle of the rack pad, pull the
free end of the Velcro strap loose.
See image 2.
On the end of the rack pad, push the plunger
down on the ripcord lock and pull out one
ripcord end. Repeat for the second ripcord
assembly. See image 1.
Starting on one end, spread the rack pad apart
and work it down over the vehicle’s cross bar
until the rack pad is fully seated. Smooth the
fabric out and position at the exact center of
the cross bar. See image 3.

At the middle of the rack pad, pull the free
end of the Hook and Loop strap loose.
See image 2.

Pull the middle Velcro strap tight and
attach. See image 5.
With the bottom facing up and the rear
facing forward, place the SUP onto the
rack pads. Confirm the SUP is centered
and evenly balanced between the front
and rear bars. See image 7.

Repeat steps 1-5 for the second rack pad.
When finished, your rack installation is
complete. See image 6.

On the end of the rack pad, push the plunger
down on the ripcord lock and insert the free
end. To tighten, pull the free ends down while
pushing the lock up to the pad. Repeat for the
second ripcord assembly.

Pull the middle Hook and Loop strap tight
and attach. See image 5.

Dress the free end of the load strap under
the cross bar. Insert the free end into the
strap buckle and pull down to tighten.
Wrap the unused free end of the strap
around the cross bar. See image 9.
Install the grab loop to the vehicle. The
attachment point can be the tow hook
under the front bumper, or, any reliable
framework located near the fender well
under the hood. See image 11.

Repeat steps 8-9 for the second load strap.
When finished, your SUP should be firmly
attached to the cross bars. See image 10.

Dress the free end of a load strap under the
cross bar and pull to make an even loop.
Place the loop up and over to the opposite
side of the SUP. See image 8.

Complete the knot by pulling the free
end up. Drape the loop over the fender
and close the vehicle’s hood.
See image 13.
Holding the ratchet, push UP on the metal
tab to release slack on the free end line.
Attach the ratchet carabiner to the leash
line on the SUP. See image 15.

Install the free end carabiner through the grab
loop. See image 14.

After threading the loop through the framework
(step 11), create a knot by passing the free end
back through the open loop. See image 12.
Pull down on the free end to tighten the line.
Wrap the excess line around the grab loop.
See image 16.
Caution: Do not overtighten as this could
cause board damage. The line is only a safety
feature to ensure the board does not separate
from the vehicle in case of a cross bar failure.

Always check mounting hardware, load straps and safety tie-down lines for proper
and secure attachment before transport. Use of this product for any other
application other than SUP or surfboard transport voids warranty.

Repair or replacement of a defective product, or the issue of a refund or credit (as determined by Malone) is the original
retail purchaser’s exclusive remedy under this warranty. Damage to original purchaser’s vehicle, cargo, or property, and/
or to any other person or property is not covered by this warranty.
This warranty is expressly made in lieu of any and all other warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of
merchantability and tness for a particular purpose.
Malone’s sole liability is limited to the remedy set forth above. In no event will Malone be liable for any direct, indirect,
consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages , or, for any other damages of any kind or nature
(including but not limited to, lost prots, lost income or lost sales).
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations
may not be applicable. This warranty gives you specic legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.
In addition, all vehicular transports are potentially hazardous. Any person using MALONE products are personally
responsible for following the given directions for use, installation and accepts full responsibility for any and all damages
or injury of any kind including death, which may result from their use.
The Malone Auto Racks (Malone) Limited Lifetime Warranty covers certain Malone-brand products that have been specically
identied for inclusion in the program and is eective for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. This
warranty is terminated when the original retail purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the product to any other person or entity.
Subject to the limitations and exclusions described in this warranty, Malone will remedy defects in materials and/or
workmanship by repairing or replacing, at its option, a defective product without charge for parts or labor. Malone may
elect, at its option, not to repair or replace a defective product but rather issue to the original retail purchaser a refund
equal to the purchase price paid for the product, or credit to be used toward the purchase of a replacement Malone
product.
This warranty does not cover, and no warranty is given for defects or problems caused by normal wear and tear which
includes but is not limited to surface (aesthetic) metal corrosion, scratches, dents, deformities, accidents, unlawful
vehicle operation, or any modication of a product not performed or authorized in writing by Malone.
In addition, this warranty does not cover problems resulting from conditions beyond Malone’s control including, but not
limited to, theft, misuse, overloading, or failure to assemble, mount or use the product in accordance with Malone’s
written instructions or guidelines included with the product available to the original retail purchaser.
No warranty is given for any Malone products purchased outside of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and
New Zealand.
If the product is believed to be defective, the original retail purchaser should contact the Malone dealer from whom it
was purchased, who will give the original retail purchaser instructions on how to proceed. If the original retail purchaser
is unable to contact the Malone dealer, or the dealer is not able to remedy the defect, the original retail purchaser should
contact Malone by email at technical@maloneautoracks.com.
In the event that the product must be returned to Malone, a technician at the email address above will provide the
original purchaser with return shipping instructions. The original purchaser will be responsible for the cost of mailing
the product to Malone. In order to receive any remedy under this warranty, a copy of the original purchase receipt,
a description of the defect and a return address must be provided.

La garantie à vie limitée offerte par Malone Auto Racks (Malone) couvre certains
produits de marque Malone qui ont été spécifiquement inclus dans ce programme et est
valide tant que l’acheteur original est propriétaire du produit. La présente garantie
prend fin lorsque l’acheteur original vend ou cède ce produit à une tierce partie.

corrigera toute défectuosité matérielle et/ou défaut de fabrication en réparant ou
remplaçant sans frais, à sa discrétion, un produit défectueux incluant pièces ou main-

normale du produit et aucune garantie n’est offerte à cet effet. L’usure normale
comprend, mais ne se limite pas à la corrosion métallique de surface (esthétique), aux
égratignures, au bossellement, à la déformation, aux accidents, à l’utilisation illégale du
produit ou à toute modification d’un produit n’ayant pas été effectuée par Malone ou pour
laquelle aucune autorisation par écrit n’aura été obtenue au préalable.
En outre, cette garantie ne couvre pas les problèmes résultant de circonstances échappant
au contrôle de Malone incluant, mais ne se limitant pas au vol, à une mauvaise utilisation
du produit, à son surchargement, à un assemblage ou àun usage du produit ne respectant
pas les instructions écrites ou directives du manufacturier accompagnant le produit lors
de son achat original.
Cette garantie ne s’applique pas aux produits Malone qui ont été achetés à l’extérieur des
États-Unis, du Canada ou du Mexique.
Si le produit semble présenter une défectuosité, l’acheteur original du produit devrait
contacter le détaillant auprès de qui l’achat a été effectué et celui-ci fournira à l’acheteur
les informations concernant la marche à suivre. Si l’acheteur original se trouve dans
l’impossibilité de contacter le dépositaire Malone, ou si ce dernier n’est pas en mesure de
remédier à la défectuosité, l’acheteur original devrait contacter Malone, par courriel, à
l’adresse suivante : [email protected].
Dans l’éventualité où le produit devait être retourné à Malone, des instructions
concernant le retour de la marchandise seront fournies à l’acheteur original par un
technicien qui aura été contacté par courriel, tel qu’indiqué ci-dessus. L’acheteur original
devra défrayer les frais d’expédition. Pour être éligible à une réclamation selon les termes
de cette garantie, l’acheteur original du produit doit fournir une copie du reçu original,
une description de la défectuosité ainsi qu’une adresse de retour.

d’aptitude à une fin donnée.
L’unique responsabilité endossée par Malone se limite aux réclamations énoncées ci-
dessus. Malone ne sera responsable, en aucun cas, des dommages directs, indirects,
consécutifs, spéciaux, exemplaires ou punitifs, ou de tout autre dommage, quel qu’en soit
la cause, incluant, mais ne se limitant pas, à la perte de profits, de revenus ou de ventes.
Certains états ne permettent pas l’exclusion des dommages consécutifs ou indirects.
Certaines des restrictions énoncées ci-dessus pourraient, de ce fait, ne pas s’appliquer. La
présente vous procure certaines garanties juridiques spécifiques. Vous pourriez également
bénéficier d’autres garanties, celles-ci pouvant varier d’un état à l’autre.
En outre, le transport en véhicule, de quelque nature qu’il soit, comporte des risques
potentiels. Toute personne utilisant un produit MALONE a la responsabilité de suivre
adéquatement les instructions fournies ainsi que les directives d’assemblage et accepte
l’entière responsabilité quant aux dommages ou blessures en tout genre, incluant le décès,
pouvant résulter de son utilisation.
