CLEANING: Before cleaning your fixture, turn off the switch or power source.
Wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE, AND READ CAREFULLY.

READ INSTRUCTIONS AND REVIEW ALL DIAGRAMS BEFORE
INSTALLING FIXTURE. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All electrical connections must be made in accordance with local
codes, ordinances and the Canadian Electrical Code.
2. These fixtures should be mounted on an electrical outlet box. The box must
be directly supported by the building structure.
3. Turn off the circuit breaker or remove the appropriate fuse to disconnect
power source before installing fixture.
4. Turning the light switch off to cut the power is not sufficient to prevent
electric shock. When in doubt about the safety of any electrical installation or
repair, consult a qualified electrician.

MAKE SURE ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT
Compare all pieces to the parts and hardware lists, and make sure
you have all tools required for assembly.
ASSEMBLE IN A CLEARED AREA
Place all parts from the box on the floor in front of you on a clean,
dry, level surface to protect the product as it is being built.
REMOVE PACKAGING MATERIALS
Place packing materials back in the box. Do not dispose of
packaging materials until assembly is complete.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN ASSEMBLY

STEP 1
Place the wall switch to the OFFposition.
WARNING! CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO ENSURE
CORRECT BRANCH CIRCUIT CONDUCTOR.
Place either the main (Master) switch to
the OFFposition, cutting off power to
your entire home, OR turn off the
individual switch that provides power to
where the fixture will be installed.
Place either the main (Master) switch to
the OFFposition, cutting off power to
your entire home, OR unscrew the fuse
that provides power to where the fixture
will be installed.
NOTE: Shutting off a wall switch that
controls the light is not sufficient to
prevent electric shock.

Depending on which type of fuse box you have in your home:

Thread two hex nuts Bonto the
threaded rod Eto the midpoint.
Thread the threaded rod Ein
through the centre hole of the
mounting bracket F
approximately 1/3 of the way.
Do not tighten the hex nuts B.
Pull the supply wires out from
the outlet box.
Attach the mounting bracket F
to the outlet box by feeding the
mounting screws Dthrough the
slots of the mounting bracket F
and tightening them into the
mounting holes of the outlet box.

Thread the screw collar loop I8 to 9 turns
onto the bottom end of the threaded rod

Tighten the bottom hex nut Bagainst
screw collar loop I.
Place the canopy 1over the outlet box.
Turn the screw collar loop Iuntil the
midpoint of the outer threads of the screw
collar loop Ialign with the bottom surface
of the canopy 1.
Remove the canopy 1and tighten the top
hex nut Bagainst the mounting bracket F.

Separate the arms on the main fixture body 3 evenly
around the centre.
Thread the top loop 2onto the top of the main fixture
body 3.
Attach the chain Gto the top loop 2using the chain
link connector H.
Raise the chain Gand the main fixture body 3up to
the outlet box to determine the desired length needed
for installation.
Identify the chain link that needs to be opened to
remove the excess chain.
Recommendation: Lay the main fixture body 3on a
flat surface.
Open the chain link using two pairs of pliers.
Remove and discard the excess chain.

Slide the threaded ring Aonto the chain
Gfollowed by the canopy 1.
Hook a chain link connector Honto the
top link of the chain G.
Raise the chain link connector Halong
with the chain Gand the main fixture
body 3up to the ceiling and hook it onto
the screw collar loop I.

Thread the cord and fixture ground wire
through every other link in the chain G.
Feed the cord and fixture ground wire
into the centre hole of the screw collar
loop I, through the threaded rod E, and
then out of the outlet box.
Continue feeding the cord and fixture
ground wire until there is no slack
remaining.
Cut off any excess cord and fixture
ground wire, leaving 6(15 cm)
extending from the outlet box.
Split and separate the fixture cord and
strip off 3/8(1 cm) of insulation from
each wire.

Wrap the fixture ground wire one turn around the green ground screw of the mounting
bracket F, leaving about 4” (10 cm) extra wire extending from the screw.
Tighten the ground screw against the mounting bracket F.
Connect the black supply wire to the smooth fixture wire using a wire nut C.
Connect the white supply wire to the ribbed fixture wire using a wire nut C.
Connect the fixture ground wire and the supply ground wire using a wire nut C.
Wrap all wire connections with electrical tape for a more secure connection.
Carefully tuck all wire connections into the outlet box.

Make sure the power
supply is on.
The power supply is off.
Do not use any cleaners with chemicals, solvents, or harsh abrasives.
Use a dry or slightly dampened clean cloth and wipe the exterior surface of the
fixture.
To clean the interior of the fixture, disconnect the power to the fixture by turning off
the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box, and then use a slightly
dampened clean cloth to wipe the interior surface of the fixture.

The light will not turn on.
Check the wire
connections.
The fixture is wired
incorrectly.
Replace the light bulb.The light bulb is dead.
Test or replace the
switch.
The switch is faulty.
Check the wiring.The fixture is wired
incorrectly.
The fuse blows or the
circuit breaker trips when
the light is turned on.
