1. CAUTION - RISK OF SHOCK-
Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fusebox
before starting and during the installation.
2. WARNING: This xture is intended for installation in accordance with the
National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specications. If you are
not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certied electrician
is recommended.
3. WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock, or personal Injury
mount to an outlet box marked “Acceptable For Fan Support of up to 22.7
kg (50 lbs)”. For outlet box mounting, use mounting screws provided with
the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of light
xtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced.
Due to the complexity of the installation of this fan, a qualied licensed
electrician is strongly recommended.
4. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code ANSI/
NFPA 70 and local electrical codes. Electrical installation should should
be performed by a qualied licensed electrician.
5. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and
capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 50 pounds. Use only cULus
Listed outlet boxes marked “FOR FAN SUPPORT”.
6. CAUTION: The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 2.1 m (7 feet)
clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the oor.
7. To operate the reverse function on this fan, press the reverse button while
the fan is running.
8. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
9. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, be
cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
10. WARNING: Make sure the power is disconnected before cleaning the fan.
11. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry
dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning.
12. After marking electrical connections, spliced conductors should be turned
upward and pushed carefully up into outlet box. The wires should be
spread apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding
conductor on one side of the outlet box.
13. Electrical diagrams are reference only. Light Kits that are not packed with
the fan must be cULus Listed and marked suitable for use with the model
fan you are installing. Switches must be cULus General Use Switches.
Refer to the Instructions packaged with the light kits and switches for
proper assembly.

16. All set screws must be checked, and retightened where necessary, before
installation.
