DESCRIPTION
The Hubbell Control Solutions NXBTC Bluetooth Radio Module enables wireless communication with one group of Room Controller(s), Sensor(s), and
Switches using a Smart Phone or other Bluetooth enabled hand held device. In conjunction with an App based user interface, the user can manually
control the room loads and/or perform set up and conguration.
INSTALLATION
1. Plug the Bluetooth radio module into a SmartPORT™ on the Room Controller or a Smart Switch. Make certain that you hear a distinct “click” as the
RJ-45 connector locks into the socket.
2. If the Bluetooth module is being installed behind a Smart Switch, be careful to guide the module into the clear space in the box behind the switch
as the screws are tightened.
3. Contact HCS Technical Support for instructions on obtaining and installing the Smart Phone App
4. When the App is started, any modules in range will be discovered and appear on the screen. If several modules are installed, it is likely that you
will discover more than one. Each discovered room will include a signal strength indicator. This can be useful in identifying the local room.
5. Touch the room to which you wish to connect.
6. Consult the NX Smart Phone Wireless App Operation Guide for instructions on using the App to set up and congure the lighting controls in
the zone.
Note: The NXBTC is suitable for installation in a return air plenum.
