Electrical Shock Hazard

Failure to follow the above precautions could result in electrical

shock, fire or personalinjury.

If the air conditioner has a serial plate rating of 115 volts

and up to and including 7.5 amps the unff may be on a fuse

or circuit breaker with other devices. However, the maximum

amps of all devices on that fuse or circuit breaker can not exceed

the amps of the fuse or circuit breaker.

If the air conditioner has a serial phlte rating of 115 volts

and greater than 7.5 amps it nlust have its own fiise or cir-

cuit breaker, and no other device or unit should be operated

on that filse or circuit breaker.

Important

Grounding Requirements

1. Air conditioner has a three-prong grounding

plug on power supply cord, which must be

plugged into properly grounded three-prong

wall receptacle for your protection against

possible shock hazard. For models up to and

including 7.5 amperes use grounding type

wall receptacle to match cord plug (Fig. 1).

"_, For models above 7.5 amperes use single

outlet grounding type wall receptacle to

match cord plug (Fig. 2).

Caution: We recommend that a qualified electrician

install unit in accordance with the National Electrical

Code and local codes and ordinances.

Caution: Use copper conductors only.

Product Damage:

Do not cub alter or renlove any o{ the expanded

polystyrene (whffe foanl) inside this air conditioner.

Window Requirements

1. Air conditioner is factory prepared for instal-

lation in standard double hung window (air

conditioner cannot be installed in other types

of windows without modification, consult

with a qualified installation serviceman).

2, Install the air conditioner in a window where

there will be enough clearance around the

cabinet to allow ample circulation of air

through the unit.

Caution: Do not block air circulation to outside

louvers of cabinet.

3. All supporting parts should be secured to

firm wood, masonry or metal.

2. WINDOW INSTALLATION

Unit & Window Size

1, If your air conditioner cabinet is 20" wide, it will fit window openings 23 7/8" to 39" in width.

Minimum opening height is 12 3/4" from bottom of sash to sill. Removal of both filler panels

permits installation in windows with a nfinin/um opening width of 20 1/4". This size unit requires

one leveling bracket (Fig. 3).

2, If your air conditioner cabinet is 23 3/4" wide, it will fit window openings 27 5/8" to 39" in width.

Minimum opening height is 16" from bottom of sash to sill. Removal of both filler panels permits

installation in windows with a nfinin/um opening width of 24". This size unit requires two leveling

brackets (Fig. 4).

1, Open and mark center line of window. Depending on the size of your unit, attach one leveling

bracket on the center line of the window or one 8" to the right and one 8" to the left of the center

line. Brackets may be attached to window sill in either direction for n/axin/um support, depending

on the depth of the window sill.

2. Mark line 1 1/4" from edge of window sill

and fasten leveling bracket with 1" long

wood screws at mark through larger holes in

bracket (Fig. 6).

3. Screw leveling bolt in 3/8" threaded hole of

leveling bracket and adjust so bolt is 1/4"

below top of window sill (Fig. 7).

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for second leveling

bracket, if required.

5. Keeping a firm grip on air conditioner,

carefully center air conditioner in window

opening with the bottom bar sitting behind

window sill. Be sure cabinet maintains an

outward pitch. Air conditioner should slant

slightly downward on the outside as shown

6, Close window until it touches behind air

conditioner top bar, Slide filler panels out-

ward until they touch window sash tracks.

lower window sash is in final position)

10. Use sealant to fill any minor openings.

Installation in

1. Remove both filler panels from air

conditioner cabinet (Fig. 5),

2. Refer to steps 1 through 7 of preceding

instructions (Pgs. 2 & 3),

3. Close window unti] it touches behind air

conditioner top bar (Fig. 8),

4. Fasten ]ower window sash to window

frame (use finishing naris, wood screws,

or "L" brackets) (Fig. 9),

5. If filler is required on sides of air

conditioner, cut plastic foam sea] to size

and fill both sides.

6. Cut plastic foam sea] to width of window

and instal] between upper and ]ower

window sash (Fig. 9),

7. Use sealant to fi]] any minor openings.

Consult your authorized dealer or importer for

alternative installation instructions.

3. MECHANICAL CONTROL PANEL

The pictured control panel is similar to your panel.

Caution: If air conditioner is shut off, wait a minimum

of three minutes before restarting.

Ope_ Ve_t Doo_ - When the vent door is

open it allows for fresh air to circulate and for

stale air to be removed from the room. Maximum

air circulation and cooling occur when the vent

door is CLOSED.

Master Conlrol - The Master Control turns the

unit offand on. It is also used to select the desired

function of the unit such as HI COOL, MED COOL

(on some models), LO COOL, HI FAN, MED FAN

(on some models) or LO FAN. When one of the fan

functions is selected, the unit will only circulate

the existing room air. The unit will only cool the

air when one of the cool functions is selected.

Thermostat - The Thermostat Control adjusts

the sensitivity of the unit thermostat, which regu-

lates the room temperature by automatically turn-

ing the compressor on and off. The cooler the

setting, the cooler the room temperature will be.

Cooling Operation

1, Close the vent door.

2, Turn the Thermostat Control to "Cooler".

3, Turn the Master Control to HI COOL.

4., If the room becomes to cool for comfort, turn

the Thermostat Control counterclockwise

until the compressor turns off (air-circulating

fan will remain in operation).

S, When the desired comfort level is reached,

the Master Control may be turned to

LO COOL,

6. To turn off unit or in the event of a power

interruption, turn the Master Control to OFF.

Heating Operation -

Heating Models Only

1. Close Vent.

2. Turn Thermostat to "Warmer".

3. Turn Master Control to HI HEAT.

4. If room becomes too warm for comfort, turn

the Thermostat clockwise until the heating

elements turn off (air circulating fan will

remain in operation). The temperature will

be automatically maintained. Further adjust-

ment of Thermostat may be needed to reach

desired comfort level,

5. When the desired comfort level is

reached, the Master Control may be turned

to LQ HEAT,

6. To turn unit off, or in event of power inter-

ruption, turn Master Control to OFF,

1. Close the vent door.

2. Turn Master Control to HI FAN.

Power Control

The Power Control turns the unit on and off.

Set Temperature/

Timer Display

Shows the set temperature when the unit is in

operation and hours when the timer is being set.

THE TEMPERATURE DISPLAY ONLY SHOWS THE

SET TEMPERATURE, NOT THE ACTUAL ROOM

TEMPERATURE.

Temperature/

Timer Hour Controls

These buttons are used to raise or lower the set

temperature in increments of 1o from 66 ° to 88 °.

By depressing both buttons at once, the display

will toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit. When

the timer is being set, these buttons are used to

change the hour setting in increments of 1 from

00 to 24.

Check Filter Light/Reset

After 250 hours of usage the Check Filter light

will turn on. At this time, the filter needs to be

removed and cleaned (see page 8). After the filter

is cleaned and repositioned, depress the Reset

button. This will restart the counter and turn the

light off.

Mode Control

The Mode Control has three settings:

FAN, COOL and ENERGY SAVER. A green

light will indicate which mode is currently

being utilized.

Cool Mode - The unit will circulate and cool

the air.

Fan Mode - The unit will only circu]ate the air.

Energy Saver Mode -The fan will switch

from the set fan speed to LO whenever the com-

pressor turns off in response to the thermostat.

When the compressor cycles back on, the unit

will return to the original fan setting.

Fan Speed Control

The Fan Speed Control has four

settings: High, Medium, Low and Auto.

The settings are adjusted with the Fan Speed

Control, each time the button is depressed it

changes the setting. A green light will indicate

which setting is currently being used.

When the Auto feature is selected while the air

conditioner is in the COOL mode, the fan speeds

will change automatically as the temperature in

the room changes.

• 7 ° or more above the set temperature

will use HI FAN.

• 4 ° - 7 ° above the set temperature will

use MED FAN.

• 4 ° or less above the set temperature

will use LO FAN.

Timer Control

The timer can be set to either turn the unit on

or off.

To turn the unit ON using the Timer:

Depress the timer key when the power is off, the

display will read 00. Adjust to the desired number

of hours before TURN ON using the Temperature/

Timer Hour Controls. The display will automati-

cally return to the set temperature after approxi-

mately 10 seconds.

To turn the unit OFF using the Timer:

Depress the timer key when the power is on, the

display will read 00. Adjust to the desired number

of hours before TURN OFF using the Temperature/

Timer Hour Controls. The display will automati-

cally return to the set temperature after approxi-

mately 10 seconds.

A green light next to the timer control

indicates that the timer is set.

To display the amount of time left until

turn on or turn off, depress the timer

key once.

To turn the timer off, depress the timer

key twice.

Built-in three minute timing delay.

This electronic controlled unit will not automatically

resume operation after a power failure.

If this electronic unit will not respond to touch pad or

remote control commands, it is necessary to unplug

the unit from the electrical outlet for five seconds and

then plug the unit back in.

5. FRONT PANEL

Air filter

Note: Failure to keep air filter clean will result in poor

air circulation. DO NOT operate without filter. This

can render the unit inoperative.

Proper use and care of your air conditioner will help

ensure longer life of the unit. It is recommended to

annually inspect and clean the coils and condensate

water passages. Expense of annual inspection is the

consumers' responsibilities.

Directing Airflow

(Unit with adjustable louvers)

Unit is engineered with adjustable louvers to direct discharge airflow. Louvers are nlanually adjusted by

moving levers in direction of desired airflow (Fig. 10).

Cleaning Air Filter

EVERY TWO WEEKS: Clean the filter.

1, Turn Master Control to ¢)FR

9 Remove the air filter by grasping the top corners and pulling it up and out of the unit (Fig. 10).

3, Wash in hot soapy water, rinse and shake dry.

4, Replace the filter, with the front of the filter toward you.

5, To dry the filter thoroughly, run your unit for a few minutes. Remember, only a clean filter works

properly and delivers top efficiency at every setting.

Service Instructions

To save time and expense, check the following before

calling an authorized service company.

Insufficient Cooling

• Turn Master Control to OFF.

• Shut all windows and doors in room.

• Remove any obstructions from inside and

outside cabinet louvers.

• Vent Door (avai]ab]e on most models).

• Inspect filter and clean if dirty.

• Turn Thermostat and Master Controls to

coolest settings.

Under certain conditions the cooling coils directly

behind the filter, may ice up and block the airflow.

This is a common occurrence in air conditioners

caused when the outside temperature drops below

70°F (21 °C) while the humidity remains high. If

this happens, simply turn the unit off and allow

the ice to melt, then resume normal operation.

Insufficient Heating-

Heating Models Only

• Turn Master Control to OFF.

• Shut all windows and doors in room.

• Remove any obstructions from inside and

outside cabinet louvers.

• Close Vent.

• Turn Thermostat to Warmer and Master

Control to HI HEAT.

Unit Fails to Start

• Turn Master Control to OFF.

• Replug line cord plug into outlet to be sure

electrical contact is being made. (if firm con-

tact is not being made, outlet may have to be

replaced).

• Turn Master Control to HI FAN. If air circulat-

ing fan does not operate, check house circuit

breaker (or fuses).

For Models Installed in

North America - If Service

or Parts are Required

First, make the recommended checks. If it appears

that service or parts are still required, see your

room air conditioner warranty "How to Obtain

Warranty Service or Parts".

For Models Installed

Outside North America

For room air conditioners purchased for use out-

side North America, the manufacturer does not

extend any warranty either expressed or implied.

Consult your local dealer for any warranty terms

extended by the importer in your country.

(Within the 48 contiguous United States, state of Hawaii,

the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and G_nada)

Full (One Year) Parts and Labor Warranty

During the first year after the date of original pur-

chase, Fedders North America will, through its

authorized servicers and free of charge to the

owner or any subsequent user, repair or replace

any parts which are defective in material or work-

manship due to normal use. Ready access to the

air conditioner for service is the responsibility of

the owner.

Limited (Five Year) Sealed System/

(Two Year) Fan Motor Parts Warranty

In addition to the full (one year) parts and labor

warranty described above, Fedders North America

will, through its authorized servicers or parts dis-

tributors, exchange sealed system parts (consisting

of compressor, evaporator, condenser, and inter-

connecting tubing) during the second year through

fifth year, and the fan motor during the second

year, both from the original date of purchase, pro-

viding the parts are defective in material or work-

manship. Transportation, handling, or labor costs

to diagnose, repair, or replace such defective parts

are not covered by this limited parts warrantyand

are the owner's responsibility.

Note: In the event ot any required part_ replacement within the

period of this wam_nty, Fedders North America replacement

parts shall be used and will be warranted only for the period

remaining on the original wam_nty.

Exceptions

The above warranty does not cover failure to

function caused by damage to the unit while in

your possession (other than damage caused by

defect or malfunction), or by its improper installa-

tion, or by unreasonable use of the unit, including

without limitation, failure to provide reasonable

and necessary maintenance or to follow the writ-

ten Installation and Operating Instructions. If the

unit is put to commercial, business, rental, or

other use or application other than for consumer

use, we make no warranties, express or implied,

including, but not limited to, any implied warranty

of merchantability or fitness for particular use or

purpose.

THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THE ABOVE

EXPRESS WARRANTY ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE

REMEDIES THEREFOR, NO OTHER EXPRESS WAR-

RANTIES ARE MADE. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES,

INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED

WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR

A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN

DURATION TO ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF ORIGI-

NAL PURCHASE. IN NO EVENT SHALL FEDDERS

NORTH AMERICA BE LIABLE FOR INDIRE_T, INCIDEN-

TAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF

ADVISED IN ADVANCE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH

DAMAGES. NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,

ARE MADE TO ANY BUYER UPON RESALE.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long

an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the

exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequen-

tial damages, so the above limitations or exclu-

sions may not apply to you. This warranty gives

you specific legal rights, and you may also have

other rights which may vary from state to state.

No warranties are made for units sold outside of

the above stated areas. Your distributor or final

seller may provide a warranty on units sold out-

side of these areas.

Service for your room air conditioner will be pro-

vided by CareCo, a division of the manufacturer

with authorized independent servicers nationwide.

Note: Before calling for service, carefully read the Installation

and Operating Instructions booklet. Then if you need service:

1. Call a CareCo authorized servicer and advise

them of model number, serial number, date

of purchase and nature of complaint. Service

will be provided during normal working

hours. Contact your dealer for the name of

an authorized servicer, if unknown to you.

Requistos importantes

1. El equipo de aire acondicionado tiene en el

cord6n de corriente un enchufe a tierra de

tres puntas, el cual debe ser introducido en

un tomacorriente de tres puntas debidamente

conectado a tierra para protecci6n contra

posibles descargas el6ctricos, Para modelos

de hasta 7,5 amperios utilice un tipo de

tomacorriente con conexi6n a tierra, adecua-

do para el enchufe del equipo (Fig. 1).

9 Para modelos de m,_is de 7,5 amperios, util-

ice un tomacorriente con conexi6n a tierra

para un solo enchufe (Fig. 2).

Precauci6n: Recomendamosque un electricista califi-

cado instale la unidad de acuerdoa las normas el6cfi-

casnacionales y las normas y regulaciones locales.

Precauci6n:Utilice solamenteconductoresdecobre.

Dai_o al producto:

No _orle, altere ni retire el poliestireno expandido (espullla

Requisitos de la ventana

1. El acondicionador de aire se prepara en la

f_brica para una instalaci6n est_indar en ven-

tanas de gui]]otina dos acondicionadores de

aire no pueden instalarse en otros tipos de

ventanas sin modificarias -- para hacer esto

hay que consuitar a un instalador calificado),

2. Insta[e el aire acondicionado en una ventana

con espacio suficiente airededor de] gabi-

nete, esto para permitir que haya bastante

circulaci6n de] aire a trav6s de ]a unidad,

Precauci6n: No bloquee la circulaci6n del aire de las

rejillas exteriores del gabinete.

3. Todas las piezas de apoyo deber,_in asegu-

rarse a madera, material de albaffileffa o

metal firme,

2. INSTALACION EN LA VENTANA

Tama_o de la ventana y de la unidad

1. Si el gabinete de su aire acondicionado mide 20" de ancho, entonces se ajustar._i a aberturas de 23

7/8" hasta 39" de ancho. La a]tura mfnima de ]a abertura es 12 3/4" desde ]a parte inferior de] marco

hasta e] a]f6izar. Si ]a abertura de ]a ventana donde se va a insta]ar tiene un ancho mfnimo de 20

1/4" quite los pane]es de re]]eno. Las unidades de este tamafio requieren e] uso de un soporte nive-

]ador (fig. 3).

2, Si el gabinete de su aire acondicionado mide 23 3/4" de ancho, entonces se ajustar_i a aberturas de

27 5/8" hasta 39" de ancho. La a]tura mfnima de ]a abertura es 16" desde ]a parte inferior de] marco

hasta e] a]f6izar. Si ]a abertura de ]a ventana donde se va a insta]ar tiene un ancho mfnimo de 24"

quite los pane]es de re]]eno. Las unidades de este tamafio requieren e] uso de dos soportes nive-

]adores (fig. 4).

istrados (Fig. 5).

1. Abra la ventana y marque ]a linea central. Dependiendo del tamaFio de ]a unidad, acople un soporte

nivelador en ]a ]inea central de ]a ventana o 1/8" a ]a derecha o a ]a izquierda de ]a ]inea central.

Los soportes pueden acoplarse a ]a repisa de ]a ventana en cualquier direcci6n para m_ximo apoyo,

2. Marque una linea a 1 1/4" del borde de ]a

repisa de ]a ventana y fije el soporte nive-

]ador con tornillos de 1" para madera en ]a

marca a trav6s de los agujeros grandes en el

soporte (Fig. 6).

3, Enrosque el perno nivelador en el orificio

roscado de 3/8" del soporte nivelador y

ajOstelo de manera que el perno se encuen-

tre a 1/4" debajo del dintel de ]a ventana

(Fig. 7).

4, Repita los pasos 2 y 3 para instalar un segun-

do soporte nivelador, si fuera necesario.

5, Centre el acondicionador de aire en ]a aber-

tura de ]a ventana con ]a barra inferior asen-

CerciOrese de que el gabinete mantenga una

indinaci6n hacia afuera. El acondicionador

de aire deber_i inclinarse [igeramente hacia

el exterior usando [a indicaci6n de un nivel

de carpintero. Dicha inclinaci6n evitar_i que

el agua entre en [a habitaci6n (Fig. 8).

6, Cerrar la ventana hasta que toque la barra

superior por detr_is de[ acondicionador de

aire. Desiizar los paneles de relleno hacia

afuera hasta que toquen las guias de[ basti-

dor de la ventana. (No soltar e[ acondicion-

ador de aire hasta que el bastidor inferior de

la ventana est6 en su posici6n final) (Fig. 9).

1, Fijar la parte superior de los paneles de

Ilenado insertando tornillos para madera de

5/8 de pulgada de [argo por los huecos de

montaje en el bastidor inferior de la ventana

(Fig. 9).

Instalaci6n en una ventana de

ancho minimo

1. Retirar ambos paneles de ]]enado del gabinete del

acondicionador de aire (Fig. 5),

2, Consu]tar los pasos 1 a 7 de ]as instrucciones prece-

dentes (Pgs. 11 & 12).

3, Cerrar la ventana hasta que toque la barra superior

por detr_s de la unidad (Fig. 8).

4, Ajustar el bastidor inferior de la ventana a] marco de

la ventana (usar clavos de acabado, tornillos de

madera o soportes en "L") (Fig. 9).

5, Si se necesita e] Ilenado a ambos lados de] acondi-

cionador de aire, cortar un sellador de espuma de

p]_stico de] mismo tamaho y Ilenar ambos lados

(Fig. 9),

6, Cortar un sellador de espuma de ph_istico de] mismo

ancho de ]a ventana e insta]ario entre e] bastidor

superior y e] bastidor inferior de ]a ventana (fig. 9).

7, Uti]ice materia] de se]]ar para re]]enar pequeflas

aberturas.

ventilaci6n se encuentra CERRADA.

Termostato - El control de] termostato ajusta ]a

sensibi]idad de] termostato de ]a unidad, que reg-

u]a ]a temperatura de ]a habitaci6n encendiendo y

apagando autom,_iticamente el compresor. Cuanto

m,_is bajo se ]o ajuste, m_is baja ser_i ]a temperatu-

ra de ]a habitaci6n.

Funci6n de enfriamiento

1. Cierre ]a puerta de ventilaci6n.

2. Co]oque el control de] termostato en

"Cooler" (m_is fifo).

3, Co]oque el control maestro en HI COOL.

4, Si el aire de ]a habitaci6n se enfrfa

demasiado, mueva el control de] termostato

en sentido antihorario hasta que el compre-

sor se apague (el ventilador de circulaci6n

de aire seguir_i en funcionamiento).

g, Cuando se ]ogre el nivel de comodidad

deseado, puede mover el control maestro

a LO COOL.

6, Para apagar ]a unidad, o si se produce un

corte de energfa, mueva el control maestro

a ]a posici6n OFF (apagado).

Funcionamiento de la

calefacci6n - Solamente en

modelos con calefacci6n

1. Cierre ]a ventilaci6n.

2. Co]oque el termostato en ]a posici6n

"Warmer" (m_is calor).

3. Co]oque el Control Maestro en ]a posici6n

HI HEAT (Ca]or alto).

4. Si comienza a hacer demasiado calor en ]a

habitaci6n, gire el termostato en sentido

horario hasta que ]a calefacci6n se apague

(el ventilador que hace circular el aire

seguir4 en movimiento). La temperatura se

mantendr_i autom4ticamente. Quiz4 deban

hacerse m,_is ajustes de] termostato para

]ograr el hive] de comodidad deseado.

5. Cuando ]ogre el nivel de comodidad

deseado, puede co]ocar el Control Maestro

en ]a posici6n LO HEAT(CaIor bajo).

6. Apague ]a unidad, o en caso de una interrup-

ci6n de energia, co]oque el Control Maestro

en ]a posici6n OFF (apagado).

El control de alimentaci6n enciende y apaga la

unidad.

Pantalla de configuraci6n de

el reloj. LA PANTALLA DE TEMPERATURA SOLO

MUESTRA LA TEMPERATURA FIJADA, NO LA

Controles de

temperatura/hora del reloj

Estos botones se usan para aumentar o reducir ]a

temperatura en incrementos de I grado desde 66

hasta 88 grados. Si se presionan los dos botones al

mismo tiempo ]a pantal]a cambiar_ entre Celsius y

Fahrenheit. Cuando se fija el reloj, estos botones

se usan para cambiar ]a hora en incrementos de 1

desde O0 a 24.

Luz de verificaci6n de

filtro/reinicializar

Despu6s de 250 horas de uso se encender_ la luz

de verificaci6n de filtro. Cuando esto sucede,

debe quitarse y ]impiarse el filtro (ver p_gina 18).

Despu6s de ]impiar y volver a co]ocar el filtro,

presione el bot6n Reset (Reinicializar). Este bot6n

volver_ a cero el contador y apagar_ ]a ]uz.

Control de modo

El control de modo tiene tres posi-

ciones: FAN (ventilaci6n), COOL (enfriamiento),

y ENERCY SAVER (ahorro de energ[a). Una

]uz verde indicar_ qu6 modo se est_ usando

actualmente.

Modo de enfriamiento - La unidad hat4

circular el aire y 1o enfriar4.

Modo de ventilaci6n - La unidad s61o hat4

circular el aire.

Modo de ahorro de energia - El ventilador

Para asegurar la larga vida y el funcionamiento adecuado, esla unidad controlada electrdnicamente no volver_ a entrar

en funcionamiento hasta transcurridos 3 minutos despuds de apagada o despuds de una interrupcidn de energfa.

Control de velocidad

El control de velocidad del ventilador

tiene cuatro posiciones: High (alto),

Mediuli'l (i-nedio), Low (bajo), y Auto (autoli"l_tJco),

Estas posiciones se ajustan con e] control de

ve]ocidad del venti]ador; cada vez que se pre-

siona el bot6n se cambia de posici6n, Una ]uz

verde indicar_ ]a posici6n usada actualmente,

Cuando se selecciona Auto mientras el acondi-

cionador de aire se encuentra en el modo COOL,

]as ve]ocidades de] venti]ador cambiar,_in

autom4ticamente si cambia ]a temperatura de

]a habitaci6n,

• 7 grados o m_s sobre la temperatura fijada,

usar_ HI FAN.

• 4 - 7 grados pot encima de la temperatura

fijada, usar_ MED FAN.

• 4 grados o menos pot encima de la

temperatura fijada, usar_ LO FAN.

Control de reloj

El reloj puede fijarse para encender o apagar

la unidad.

Para encender la unidad usando el

reloj: Presione ]a tecla del reloi cuando ]a unidad

est_ apagada; ]a panta]]a dir_i 00, Indique e]

ntimero de horas deseado antes de] encendido

usando los contro]es de temperatura/horas de

re]oj, La panta]]a vo]ver_i autom_iticamente a ]a

temperatura fijada despu6s de aproximadamente

10 segundos,

Para apagar la unidad usando el reloj:

Presione ]a tecla del reloj cuando ]a unidad est_

encendida; ]a panta]]a dir_i 00, Indique e] nOmero

de horas deseado antes de] apagado usando los

contro]es de temperatura/horas de] re]oj, La pan-

ta]]a vo]ver_ autom_iticamente a ]a temperatura

fijada despu6s de aproximadamente 10 segundos,

Una luz verde junto al control del reloj

indica que el reloj est_ fijado.

Para visualizar el tiempo que queda

antes de que la unidad se encienda

o apague, presione una vez la tecla

del reloj.

Para apagar el reloj, presione dos

veces la tecla del reloj.

Retraso de sincronizaci6n de ties minutos integrado.

Este aparato con control electr6nico no volver_ a

funcionar autom_ticamente despu_s de clue haya una

interrupci_n de energfa.

Si este aparato electr_nico no respondiera alas

se_ales del cojinete t_ctil o del control remoto, ser_

necesario desenchufado cinco segundos y despu_s

volver a enchufado.

Filtros

de aire

Advertencia: El no mantener limpio el filtro podria

resultar en baja circulaci6n del aire. NUNCA haga

funcionar la unidad sin el filtro ya que puede quedar

inutilizable.

El uso y mantenimiento adecuados del acondicionador

de air prolongar_ la vida dtil de la unidad.

Se recomienda inspeccionar y limpiar anuahnente

el serpenffn y los pasajes para agua de condensacidn.

El cliente deber_ cubrir los gastos de inspeccidn anual.

Orientaci6n de la corriente de aire

(Unidad con rejilla directriz ajustable)

La unidad viene equipada con rejillas directrices ajustables que permiten dirigir ]a descarga de ]a

corriente de aire, Las reji]]as pueden ajustarse manualmente moviendo ]as palancas en ]a direcci6n desea-

da (Fig. 10),

Limpieza del filtro de aire

CADA DOS SEMANAS: Limpie el filtro.

1. Ponga el control maestro en posici6n apagado,

2. Para retirar e] fiitro de aire, suj6te]o de ]as esquinas superiores y remu6va[o hacia arriba

y hacia afuera (Fig. 10),

3. L_ive]o con agua caliente enjabonada, enju_iguelo, sacOdalo y s6que]o,

4. A[ poner]o de nuevo en su ]ugar, asegOrese que e] ]ado frontal quede mirando a usted,

5. Para secar bien e] fiitro, haga funcionar ]a unidad durante unos minutos, Recuerde, que s6]o un fiitro

]impio har_i funcionar su unidad correctamente y dar_i siempre e] servicio m_is eficiente,
