Bestimmungsgemäß verwenden
Die UV-Lampen mit Prüffunktionen – im Folgenden
UV-Lampen – dienen der Überprüfung der Echtheits
merkmale von Banknoten
oder Kreditkarten. Jede ande
re Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Eigenmächtige Veränderungen oder Umbauten sind
nicht zulässig. Öffnen Sie die UV-Lampe in keinem Fall
selbst und führen Sie keine eigenen Reparaturversuche
durch.
Ein verbleibendes Restrisiko der NichtErkennung re
produzierter und/oder falscher Banknoten kann nicht
ausgeschlossen werden. Auch echte Banknoten
können aufgrund von Verunreinigungen oder anderer
äußerer Einwirkungen als fehlerhaft erkannt werden.
Prüfen Sie fehlerhafte Banknoten deshalb mehrfach
und wenden Sie sich im Zweifelsfall an Ihr Bankinstitut.

Wenn Sie Ihre UV-Lampe längere Zeit nicht
benutzen, trennen Sie die UV-Lampe vom Strom
netz.

Schließen Sie den Netzstecker an einer ordnungsge
mäß installierten Steckdose an.
Bringen Sie den Schalter [1] in die Position „I“ um die
UV-Lampe einzuschalten.

Wenn Sie die UV-Lampe mit einem Li-Ion Akku
benutzen, können Sie die UV-Lampe portabel
benutzen.
Setzen Sie den Li-Ion Akku (siehe Technische Da
ten) in das Batteriefach [13] auf der Unterseite der UV-
Lampe ein.

Bringen Sie den Schalter „Battery/DC“ [8] in die Posi
tion „Battery“.
Benutzen Sie das USB-Kabel.
Verbinden Sie den Micro-USB-Stecker mit der
Buchse „DC Input, Charging Port“ [9] der UV-Lampe.
Verbinden Sie den USB-A Stecker mit einer
USB-Spannungsversorgung (5 V, 1 A).
Während der Ladezeit muss der Schalter [2] in der
mittleren Position „0“ stehen. Die Ladezeit beträgt
etwa 3 – 4 Stunden (Modell 18650, 26000 mAh).
Die LED Indicator [10] blinkt beim Ladevorgang und
beginnt zu leuchten, wenn der Akku vollständig geladen
ist.
Trennen Sie das USB-Kabel von der UV-Lampe.
Die UV-Lampe ist nun portabel benutzbar.
An der USB-Output-Buchse [7] steht Ihnen die
USB-typische Spannung von 5 V zur Verfügung.
Schalten Sie die UV-Lampe am Schalter [2] ein.
Wenn Sie die UV-Lampe permanent betreiben,
können Sie etwa 1 Stunde prüfen.
Funktionen
Der Umfang der Funktionen ist geräteabhängig.
UV-Licht (UV 586, UV 587, UV 588)
Warten Sie nach dem Einschalten etwa eine Minute, bis
die UV-Lampe optimale Betriebsbedingungen hat.
Banknoten weisen markante Merkmale auf, die sich
unter UV-Licht sichtbar machen lassen. Bitte verglei
chen Sie die UV-Merkmale mit denjenigen Ihrer echten
Banknoten.
Legen Sie die Banknote in die UV-Lampe.
Prüfen Sie die Merkmale (siehe 1 und 2).
Die Merkmale sind deutlich erkennbar.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass ältere Banknoten durch
äußere Einflüsse unter UV-Licht nicht unbedingt
eindeutig als Fälschung identifiziert werden können.
Magnetismus (UV 588)
Banknoten weisen magnetische Merkmale auf, die
durch spezielle Tinte entstehen. Diese Merkmale lassen
sich mit dem Magnetlesekopf [4] nachweisen.
Legen Sie die Banknote in die UV-Lampe.
Drücken Sie die Banknote fest auf den Magnetlese
kopf [4] und führen Sie die Banknote in schnellen Bewe
gungen hin und her (siehe 5).
Führen Sie den Metallstreifen in Längsrichtung über
den Magnetlesekopf [4] (siehe 5).
Die UV-Lampe gibt einen kurzen Signalton ab, wenn
die entsprechenden Merkmale nachgewiesen wurden
und die LED [3] leuchtet kurz auf.
Weißlicht (UV 588)
Banknoten weisen Merkmale auf, die sich unter Weiß
licht sichtbar machen lassen. Echte Banknoten weisen
alle Merkmale auf, die unter 6 beschrieben sind.
Bringen Sie den Schalter [2] in die Position (II).
Die UV-Lampe wechselt von UV- zu Weißlicht [5].
Legen Sie die Banknote in die UV-Lampe.
Prüfen Sie die Erkennungsmerkmale unter Weißlicht
(siehe 6) z. B. Wasserzeichen.
Die markanten Merkmale sind deutlich erkennbar.
Lupe (UV 588)
Banknoten weisen Merkmale auf, die sich mit einer Lu
pe [6] sichtbar machen lassen.
Legen Sie die Banknote in die UV-Lampe.
Prüfen Sie die Merkmale (siehe 4)
Die Mikroschriften sind detailreich und deutlich er
kennbar.

Intended Use
The UV lamps with verification functions – subsequently
referred to simply as UV lamps – serve to control the
authenticity features of bank notes
or credit cards. Any
other use is considered unintended use. Unauthorised
modifications or reconstructions are not permitted.
Under no circumstances open the UV lamp or complete
any repair work yourself.
Despite comprehensive testing, it is impossible to fully
rule out the risk that a counterfeit bank note is not de
tected. In the same way, an authentic bank note can be
detected as being faulty due to soiling or some other
external influence. Therefore, test bank notes detected
as being faulty several times and, in the case of doubt,
consult your bank institution.

Operation
Switching the UV Lamp On and Off
If you do not intend to use the UV lamp for a longer
period, disconnect the UV lamp from the power
supply.
UV 586
Connect the power plug to a properly installed power
socket.
Set the switch [1] to position "I" to switch the UV
lamp on.
Set the switch [1] to position "0" to switch the UV
lamp off.

Use the USB cable supplied to connect the UV lamp to
the power supply.
Connect the micro USB plug to the socket in the UV
lamp.
Connect the USB A plug to a USB power
supply (5V, 1 A).

Rechargeable Battery Operation (Option)
UV 588
If you operate the UV lamp in conjunction with a
rechargeable battery, you can use the UV lamp as a
portable device.
Insert the Li-ion rechargeable battery (see Section
"Technical Data") in the battery compartment [13] on
the underside of the UV lamp.

Set the "Battery/DC" switch [8] to "Battery".
Use the USB cable.
Connect the micro USB plug to the "DC Input,
Charging Port" socket [9] on the UV lamp.
Connect the USB A plug to a USB power
supply (5V, 1 A).
During the charging time, the switch [2] must be set
to position "0". The charging time required is 3 – 4
hours (Modell 18650, 2600 mAh).
The LED indicator [10] flashes during the charging
process and lights up continuously when the battery is
fully charged.
Disconnect the USB cable from the UV lamp.
The UV lamp can now be used as a portable device.
A typical USB voltage of 5 V is provided at the USB
Output socket [7].
Switch the UV lamp on using the switch [2].
If you use the UV lamp on a continuous basis, you
can complete tests for about 1 hour.
Functions
The range of functions available is dependent on the
device.
UV Lamp (UV 586, UV 587, UV 588)
After switching the device on, wait for about one minute
until the UV lamp fulfils the optimum operating condi
tions.
Bank notes are provided with distinct features which
become visible under UV light. Compare the UV charac
teristics with those of your real banknotes.
Lay the bank note in the UV lamp.
Check the security features (see 1 and 2).
The features are clearly visible.
Please note it is possible that, due to external influ
ences, older bank notes cannot be unambiguously
identified as counterfeits under UV light.
Magnetic Elements (UV 588)
Bank notes are provided with magnetic features
resulting from the use of special ink. These features can
be controlled with the magnetic read heads [4].
Lay the bank note in the UV lamp.
Press the bank note down firmly on the magnetic
read head [4] and move the bank note to and fro with
quick movements (see 5).
Guide the metallic strip longitudinally over the
magnetic read head [4] (see 5).
The UV lamp issues a short acoustic signal when the
corresponding feature is detected and the LED [3] lights
up briefly.
White Light (UV 588)
Bank notes are provided with distinct features which
become visible in white light. Real bank notes indicate
all the features illustrated in 6.
Move the switch [2] to position (II).
The UV lamp switches from UV to white light [5].
Lay the bank notes in the UV lamp.
Control the security features under the white light
(see 6), e.g. the watermark.
The features are clearly visible.
Magnification (UV 588)
Bank notes are provided with security features which
become visible under a magnifying glass [6].
Lay the bank notes in the UV lamp.
Check the features (see 4)
The microprint can be seen clearly and in detail.

suspects en raison de salissures ou d'autres influences

Alimentation par accu (en option)
UV 588
Si vous utilisez la lampe UV avec un accu Li-ion, vous
pouvez le faire sans câble.
Insérez l'accu Li-ion (cf. Données techniques) dans
le logement pour piles [13] situé sous la lampe UV.

Positionnez l'interrupteur „Battery/DC“ [8] sur
„Battery“.
Utilisez le câble USB.
Connectez la fiche micro USB au port „DC Input,
Charging Port“ [9] de la lampe UV.
Connectez la fiche USB A à une alimentation en
courant USB (5 V, 1 A).
L'interrupteur [2] doit être en position centrale „0“
pendant la charge. Cette dernière peut durer 3 à 4
heures (modèle 18650).
Le voyant lumineux LED [10] clignote pendant la
charge et commence à s'allumer quand l'accu est
complètement rechargé.
Séparez le câble USB de la lampe UV.
Celle-ci peut s'utiliser comme appareil portable.
La tension USB typique de 5 V est disponible sur le
port Output USB [7].
Vous allumez la lampe UV avec l'interrupteur [2].
Si vous utilisez la lampe UV en permanence, vous
pouvez procéder à la détection pendant environ
une heure.
Fonctions
Le nombre des fonctions dépend de l'appareil.
Lumière UV (UV 586, UV 587, UV 588)
Après avoir allumé la lampe, attendez une minute pour
que celle-ci fonctionne parfaitement. Les billets de
banque présentent des signes de sécurité
caractéristiques qui apparaissent sous une source de
lumière ultraviolette. Veuillez comparer les
caractéristiques UV avec celles de vos billets
authentiques.
Introduisez le billet dans la lampe UV.
Vérifiez les signes de sécurité (cf. 1 et 2).
Les signes de sécurité sont identifiables sans
ambiguïté.
Veuillez noter que, en raison d'influences exté
rieures, des billets de banque anciens peuvent ne
pas être tout à fait clairement identifiés comme
contrefaçon sous ultraviolet.
Magnétisme (UV 588)
Les billets de banque présentent des signes de sécurité
magnétiques engendrées par une encre spéciale. Il est
possible de prouver ces signes de sécurité à l'aide de la
tête de lecture magnétique [4].
Introduisez le billet dans la lampe UV.
Appuyez fermement le billet sur la tête de lecture
magnétique [4] et exécutez un mouvement rapide de
va-et-vient (cf. 5).

Lumière blanche (UV 588)
Les billets de banque présentent des signes de sécurité
caractéristiques qui apparaissent sous une source de
lumière blanche. Les billets de banque authentiques
présentent tous les signes de sécurité décrits au
point 6.
Positionnez l'interrupteur [2] sur (II).
La lampe UV commute de la lumière ultraviolette à la
lumière blanche [5].
Introduisez le billet dans la lampe UV.
Vérifiez les signes de sécurité sous lumière blanche
(cf. 6), par ex. filigranes.
Les signes de sécurité marquants sont identifiables
sans ambiguïté.
Loupe (UV 588)
Les billets de banque présentent des signes de sécurité
caractéristiques qui apparaissent sous une loupe [6].
Introduisez le billet dans la lampe UV.
Vérifiez les signes de sécurité (cf. 4)
Les micro-impressions renferment maints détails et
sont identifiables sans ambiguïté.

Beoogd gebruik
De UV-lampen met controlefuncties – hierna UV-lam
pen genoemd – dienen voor de controle van de echt
heidskenmerken van bankbiljetten of creditcards
. Elk
ander gebruik wordt beschouwd als oneigenlijk gebruik.
Ongeoorloofde wijzigingen of aanpassingen zijn niet
toegestaan. Open de UV-lamp in geen geval zelf en
probeer hem niet zelf te repareren.
Een resterend risico dat gereproduceerde en / of valse
bankbiljetten niet worden herkend, kan niet worden uit
gesloten. Daarnaast kunnen echte bankbiljetten als
gevolg van verontreinigingen of door andere uitwendige
inwerkingen als vals worden herkend. Controleer afge
keurde bankbiljetten daarom meermaals en wend u in
geval van twijfel tot uw bank.

UV-lamp in- en uitschakelen
Als u de UV-lamp langere tijd niet gebruikt, koppelt
u de UV-lamp los van de stroomtoevoer.
UV 586
Steek de stekker van het netsnoer in een correct
geïnstalleerd stopcontact.
Zet de schakelaar [1] in de stand „I“ om de UV-lamp
in te schakelen.
Zet de schakelaar [1] in de stand „0“ om de UV-lamp
uit te schakelen.

Accuvoeding (optioneel)
UV 588
Als u de UV-lamp met een Li-Ion accu gebruikt, kunt u
de UV-lamp draagbaar gebruiken.
Plaats de Li-ion accu (zie Technische gegevens) in
het batterijvak [13] aan de onderkant van de UV-lamp.

Zet de schakelaar „Battery/DC“ [8] in de stand „Bat
tery“.
Gebruik de USB-kabel.
Sluit de micro-USB-connector aan op de aansluiting
„DC Input, Charging Port“ [9] van de UV-lamp.
Sluit de USB-A-connector aan op een USB-voe
ding(5 V, 1 A).
Tijdens het opladen moet de schakelaar [2] in de
middelste stand „0“ staan. De oplaadtijd is on
geveer 3 – 4 uur (model 18650).
De led [10] knippert tijdens het opladen en gaat con
tinu branden wanneer de accu volledig is opgeladen.
Koppel de USB-kabel los van de UV-lamp.
De UV-lamp is nu draagbaar.
Op de USB-uitgang [7] staat de typische USB-
spanning van 5 V ter beschikking.
Schakel de UV-lamp met de schakelaar [2] in.
Als u de UV-lamp continu gebruikt, kunt u on
geveer 1 uur lang controleren.
Functies
De omvang van de functies is afhankelijk van het appa
raat.
UV-licht (UV 586, UV 587, UV 588)
Wacht na het inschakelen ongeveer een minuut totdat
de UV-lamp klaar is voor gebruik.
Bankbiljetten hebben markante kenmerken die in UV-
licht zichtbaar worden. Vergelijk de UV-kenmerken met
die van uw echte bankbiljetten.
Plaats het bankbiljet in de UV-lamp.
Controleer de kenmerken (zie 1 en 2).
De kenmerken zijn duidelijk herkenbaar.
Merk op dat oudere bankbiljetten door externe in
vloeden in UV-licht niet per se eenduidig als verval
sing kunnen worden geïdentificeerd.
Magnetisme (UV 588)
Bankbiljetten hebben magnetische kenmerken die door
speciale inkt ontstaan. Deze kenmerken kunnen door
middel van de magneetleeskop [4] worden geverifieerd.
Plaats het bankbiljet in de UV-lamp.
Druk het bankbiljet stevig op de magneetleeskop [4]
en beweeg het bankbiljet met snelle bewegingen heen
en weer (zie 5).
Beweeg de metalen stroken in de lengterichting over
de magneetleeskop [4] (zie 5).
De UV-lamp geeft een korte pieptoon als de over
eenkomstige kenmerken geverifieerd zijn en de led [3]
licht kort op.
Wit licht (UV 588)
Bankbiljetten hebben kenmerken die in wit licht zicht
baar kunnen worden gemaakt. Echte bankbiljetten
hebben alle kenmerken die onder 6 worden be
schreven.
Zet de schakelaar [2] in de stand (II).
De UV-lamp wisselt van UV- naar wit licht [5].
Plaats het bankbiljet in de UV-lamp.
Controleer de identificatiekenmerken in wit
licht(zie 6) bijv. watermerk.
De markante kenmerken zijn duidelijk herkenbaar.
Loep (UV 588)
Bankbiljetten hebben kenmerken die zich met een
loep [6] zichtbaar kunnen worden gemaakt.
Plaats het bankbiljet in de UV-lamp.
Controleer de kenmerken (zie 4)
De microletters zijn rijk aan details en duidelijk
herkenbaar.

Funzionamento
Accensione e spegnimento della lampada UV
Scollegare la lampada UV dalla rete elettrica non
utilizzando la lampada UV per un periodo prolun
gato.

Collegare il connettore di rete ad una presa elettrica
installata secondo le norme tecniche in vigore.
Portare l'interruttore [1] in posizione "I" per attivare la
lampada UV.
Portare l'interruttore [1] in posizione "0" per disattiva
re la lampada UV.
