The Australian Monitor ZONEMIX Paging Station
(ZMPS) is a software configurable paging station with
a supercardioid gooseneck microphone.
The ZMPS is designed to be used with the ZONEMIX
system to provide paging and pre-recorded message
playback to individual zones, combination of zones or all zones.
Connection to the ZONEMIX is via low cost CAT 5 cable.
Ample label space is provided on the ZMPS for easy operation
and LED indicators provide the user with visual feedback of
the zones being paged or if the system is busy.
A rear panel gain control allows level adjustment along
with an internal audio limiter to guarantee voice
clarity.

CLEAR
3
This button pages to all zones. It is momentary so
must be held while talking into the microphone. It
activates the microphone and mutes or ducks the
program sources (depending on configuration).
It does NOT clear the current zone selection
configuration so the paging station will return to its
previous state (selected zones) once the ALL PAGE
button is released.
ALL PAGE
4
This button pages to the currently selected zone/s as
indicated by their respective LEDs. The zones being
paged have their program sources muted or ducked
(depending on configuration) and the microphone
becomes active.
ZONE PAGE
1
There are 13 software configurable buttons on the
ZMPS. Each button can be configured to select a
single zone, groups of zones or to activate a pre-
recorded announcement. Use the ZONEMIX PC
control software to assign the required function to
each button.
SOFTWARE DEFINED BUTTON 5
The chime LED will turn on to indicate the pre-
announce chime is playing. Do not speak through the
ZMPS until this LED is off.
CHIME
6
The busy LED will turn on when the system is busy
performing another page. This can be caused by
the local paging station (you are making a page) or a
remote paging station being in use.
Paging and messaging are not possible while the
system is busy, however zone selections can still be
made.
BUSY
8
To accommodate different speech levels, there is a
gain control on rear of the ZMPS. Adjust the level to
provide clear paging audio.

DAISY CHAINING ZMPS STATIONS
Wire the ZMPS paging station as per the images below.
Category 5, 5e and 6 cabling are supported.
T-568A wiring is recommended. However, T-568B is also supported.

Termination DIP switches
ZMPS TERMINATION (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP)
If the ZMPS is the LAST device on an accessory port cable run it MUST
be terminated using the rear panel "PORT TERM" DIP switches by turning
them to the ON position.
If the ZMPS is NOT the LAST device on the accessory port cable run the
"PORT TERM" switches must be OFF.
The ZONEMIX system uses the RS485 standard to communicate with
the paging stations. RS485 requires that each end of a cable run is
terminated to prevent signal corruption due to signal reflections in the
cable.

T-568A wiring (Tab down view)
If you need to daisy chain ZMPS paging stations on the same accessory
port run, use a terminal block or RJ45 splitter as shown. (Not included)
