INTRODUCTION
This cordless soldering iron with Li-ion battery is portable and
ready to power on and solder wherever you are. It features a
45-second heating time, a 2.6 ft charging cord, textured-grip
handle and includes a conical shape tip, two spools of lead-free
solder wire, sponge, USB charging cable and stand base.

WORK AREA

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
1. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide front and
side protection for the eyes. Eye protection equipment
should comply with CSA Z94.3-07 or ANSI Z87.1 standards
based on the type of work performed.
2. Wear gloves that provide protection based on the work
materials or to reduce the effects of tool vibration.
3. Wear protective clothing designed for the work
environment and tool.
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Control the tool, personal movement and the work
environment to avoid personal injury or damage to the tool.
1. Do not operate any tool when tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medications.
2. Do not overreach when operating the tool. Proper footing
and balance enables better control in unexpected situations.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1. Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was designed for
a specific function. Do not modify or alter this tool or use it
for an unintended purpose.
2. Do not use the tool if any parts are damaged, broken or
misplaced. Repair or replace the parts.
3. Always keep fingers, hands, body and clothing away from
heated components of this tool.
4. The tool will remain hot for a few minutes after use. Always
rest the tool on a stand where heat from the tool cannot
damage nearby items.
5. Do not touch the soldering iron tip or place it on a
combustible material until it has time to cool. This tool

generates considerable heat and can inflict a burn injury
and/or damage materials during use.
6. Never file the soldering iron’s specially plated tip.
7. Make sure to have sufficient ventilation while soldering;
solder or solder flux can be harmful.
POWER TOOL PRECAUTIONS
1. Do not use any power tool with a malfunctioning power
switch or control. A power tool that fails to respond to the
controls is dangerous and could cause an injury. A qualified
technician must repair and verify the power tool is
operating correctly before it can be used.
2. Do not cover the air vents. Proper cooling of the motor is
necessary to ensure normal life of the tool.
3. Avoid unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is off when
connecting to the power source.
4. Disconnect the power source before installing or servicing
the tool.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! Do not charge a damaged or frozen battery.
Internal damage may allow the battery contents to leak,
creating a hazardous spill. Contact your local municipality for
proper disposal procedures.
WARNING! Only charge a battery with a charger designed for
that purpose. Do not use modified chargers or a charger that
does not specify the voltage, amperage or recharge rate.
Improper charging can lead to the battery rupturing.
WARNING! Do not disassemble the charger or batteries.
Lithium batteries contain toxic and volatile materials that are
dangerous.
1. Do not expose the battery to heat or throw it in a fire. Keep
any ignition source, such as flames, sparks or embers away
from the battery. The contents are flammable and the
battery may explode. Do not inhale smoke issuing from the
burning battery as it is toxic.

2. Do not disassemble or crush the battery as the contents
are corrosive and flammable. Exposure may cause an injury.
3. Tools with internal rechargeable batteries or removable
battery packs are designed to be used only with that
battery configuration. Do not mix different battery pack
brands or use adapters to allow the use of a battery pack
with a different voltage. This can damage the tool’s
electrical mechanism and create a fire hazard.
4. Discontinue using or charging a li-ion battery if it changes
shape or is abnormally hot. The battery may leak or ignite.
Move the battery to a fireproof location and observe for 15
minutes. Safely dispose of the battery.
5. Do not allow a Li-ion battery to fully discharge. This will
damage the battery.
6. Do not store in temperatures over 140°F/60°C. The battery
may rupture or leak.
7. Do not leave li-ion battery unattended when recharging.
Remain to observe the recharging process in case a
problem occurs. Place the battery and recharger in a fire-
proof container.
8. Do not charge leaking batteries. A compromised casing will
release volatile chemicals and gases. Charging a leaking
battery can cause a fire or explosion.
UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing.
Replace the missing part before operating. Failure to do so
could result in a malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and inspect
for damage. Make sure that all items in the contents are included.

OPERATION
WARNING! Make sure the ON/OFF switch (c) for the tool is in
the OFF position before connecting the power supply cord to
a power outlet.
Letter references in parenthesis (A) refer to the included
Identification Key.
BEFORE EACH USE
1. Clear the work area of combustible or flammable materials.
2. Make sure the work area is well ventilated, as there may be
toxic or irritating fumes.
3. Wet the soldering iron sponge (F).
4. File off any dirt, rust or paint on the part you wish to solder.
SOLDERING IRON OPERATION
1. Remove the soldering iron from the stand.
2. Press the power button (C). The status LED (B) will turn red.
2.1 The status LED will flash red twice if there is a problem
with the battery. Have the tool examined by a service
technician.

3. The tip will reach a temperature of 450°C (842°F) in
approximately 25 seconds. The status LED will turn green.
4. The work light LEDs (G) will turn on to illuminate the work.
5. Clean the residue from the soldering iron once it is hot.
6. Heat the part by holding the soldering iron against it. Be
careful not to melt any plastic components.
7. Apply rosin-based solder to the part and melt it with the
soldering iron. When using non-rosin-based solder, be sure
to apply a soldering paste to the part before applying the
solder.
8. Press the power button to shut off the soldering iron.
8.1 Re-tin the tip before storing.
8.2 The soldering iron will shut off automatically after 10
minutes. Press the power button again to continue
using the soldering iron.
9. Wait for the solder to cool and harden before moving the
soldered part.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is
efficient, easier to control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace
damaged or worn components. Only use identical
replacement parts when servicing.
3. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool.
4. Remove oxide on the tip by lightly rubbing it with abrasive
paper, wiping it clean, then immediately reheating and re-
tinning the tip. Do not use course abrasives or cleaning
detergent.
5. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry
important information. If unreadable or missing, contact
Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.

6. The longest life and best performance can be obtained if
the battery pack is charged when the air temperature is
between 50 to 86 °F (10 to 30 °C). Do not charge the
battery when the temperature is below 0 °F (32°C) or
above 113 °F (45 °C). This is important and will prevent
damage to the battery pack.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the
tool. An improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the
user and/or others.
REPLACE THE TIP
1. Turn off the power and allow the tip to cool.
2. Unscrew the tip counterclockwise until you can remove it.
Discard the tip.
3. Screw a new tip clockwise into the soldering iron.
RECHARGING THE BATTERY
Only use the supplied USB cable to charge the internal battery.
The soldering iron requires a USB power supply with an output
current of 1.0A (1,000mA).
Use a power bank or wall outlet adapter to supply power to the
tool. A computer or tablet is not recommended as a power supply.
The LED will glow red during charging, then change to green
when fully charged.
STORAGE
1. Prevent a build-up of explosive gases by storing the battery
in a ventilated area or container that will disperse the small
amounts of gas created.
2. Do not store the battery completely discharged. Charge it
fully before storing. Recharge occasionally if storing for a
long time.
3. Do not store in temperatures over 140°F/60°C. The battery
may rupture or leak.

DISPOSAL
WARNING! Never burn batteries, as they can explode in a fire.
Do not charge leaking batteries. Only a qualified service
technician should perform maintenance on the battery pack.
Contact local solid waste authorities for instructions on
correct disposal or recycling of the battery pack.
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or
by-laws for electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution if the tool does
not function properly or parts are missing. If unable to do so,
have a qualified technician service the tool.

INTRODUCTION
Ce fer à souder sans fil à pile au Li-ion est portatif et toujours

PRÉCAUTIONS RELATIVES AUX

3. Évitez le démarrage non intentionnel. Assurez-vous que le
commutateur se trouve en position d'arrêt avant de
brancher l'appareil à la source d'énergie.

procéder à son installation ou à son entretien.
PRÉCAUTIONS LA BATTERIE
D'ACCUMULATEURS
AVERTISSEMENT ! Ne chargez pas une batterie endommagée
ou gelée. Des dommages internes peuvent entraîner une fuite
du contenu de la batterie, provoquant ainsi un déversement
dangereux. Communiquez avec votre municipalité locale afin
de connaître le processus de mise au rebut.
AVERTISSEMENT ! Chargez une batterie uniquement au
moyen d'un chargeur prévu à cette fin. N'utilisez pas de
chargeurs modifiés ou de chargeur qui n'indique pas la
tension, l'intensité ou le taux de recharge. Un chargement
inadéquat peut provoquer une rupture de la batterie.
AVERTISSEMENT ! Ne démontez pas le chargeur ni les
batteries. Les batteries au lithium contiennent des matériaux
toxiques et volatiles qui sont dangereux.
1. N'exposez pas la batterie à la chaleur et ne la jetez pas dans le
feu. Tenez toute source d’inflammation, comme les flammes,
les étincelles ou les braises à l’écart de la batterie. Son contenu
est inflammable et la pile pourrait exploser. N'inhalez pas la
fumée produite par une pile en feu, puisqu'elle est toxique.
2. Ne démontez pas et n'écrasez pas la pile, puisque son
contenu est corrosif et inflammable. Une exposition pourrait
causer des blessures.
3. Chargez les batteries dans un endroit désigné, bien aéré afin
d'empêcher toute accumulation de gaz. Ces gaz peuvent
exploser. Retirez de la pièce toute source d'allumage, telle
qu'une flamme nue ou un appareil de chauffage. Des

étincelles suffisent également à enflammer le gaz.
4. Cessez d'utiliser ou de charger une pile de Li-ion si sa forme
change ou si elle devient particulièrement chaude. La pile
peut également présenter des fuites ou s'allumer. Placez la
pile dans un endroit à l'épreuve du feu et observez-la pendant
15 minutes. Disposez de la pile de manière sécuritaire.
5. Ne pas laisser la batterie se décharger complètement. La
batterie sera endommagée si la charge a été complètement
vidé.
6. Ne rangez pas celui-ci à des températures supérieures à
60 °C/140 °F, puisque la pile peut se briser ou présenter.
7. Ne laissez pas la pile de Li-ion sans surveillance alors que
vous la rechargez. Restez et observez le processus de
recharge advenant un problème. Placez la batterie et le
chargeur dans un contenant ignifuge.
8. Ne chargez pas les batteries fuyantes. Un boîtier
endommagé peut relâcher des produits chimiques volatils
ou des gaz. La charge d’une batterie qui présente des fuites
peut provoquer un incendie ou une explosion.
DÉBALLAGE
AVERTISSEMENT ! Ne faites pas fonctionner l'outil si des
pièces sont manquantes. Remplacez les pièces manquantes
avant l'utilisation. Le non-respect de cet avertissement peut
entraîner une défectuosité et des blessures graves.

UTILISATION
AVERTISSEMENT! Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur de
MARCHE/ARRÊT (C) de l’outil est en position d’arrêt avant de
brancher le cordon d’alimentation à une prise.
Les lettres de référence entre parenthèses (A) se rapportent à
la clé d'identification comprise.
AVANT CHAQUE UTILISATION
1. Libérez l’aire de travail de tout matériau combustible
ou inflammable.
2. Assurez-vous que l’aire de travail est bien ventilée, car des
vapeurs toxiques ou irritantes.
3. Mouillez l’éponge du fer à souder (F).
4. Au moyen d'une lime, éliminez la saleté, la poussière ou la
peinture sur la pièce que vous souhaitez souder.
OPÉRATION DU FER À SOUDER
1. Retirez le fer à souder de l’outil du socle.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton d’alimentation (C). La DEL de statut
(B) tournera au rouge.
