SAFETY INFORMATION
Safety precautions
Read the “User Manual” carefully before start-up and use or before performing maintenance or any other work on the power nozzle.
WARNING! Rigorously follow all the instructions in this Manual (in particular those marked “Danger!” and “Warning!”). Also, respect the
labels applied to the machine (see the “Safety symbols” chapter. The Manufacturer declines all liability for injury to persons or damage to
property resulting from failure to follow instructions.
• Do not leave power nozzle while plugged in. Unplug when not in use and before servicing.
• Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Do not use near small children or pets. Do not allow to be used as a toy. Use of this product by children should
always be supervised by an adult.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer-recommended attachments.
• If power nozzle is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, take it to a
Dustbane service center.
• Do not plug in if switch is in the ON position.
• Always carry the power nozzle over steps and sills.
• Do not handle power nozzle with wet hands.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use machine with any openings blocked. Keep openings free of lint, hair, and
anything that may reduce air ow.
• Do not remove any screws from power nozzle.
• Do not vacuum up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Turn o all machine controls before storing.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Machines can cause a re when operated near ammable vapors or materials. Do not operate this power nozzle near
ammable uids, dust or vapors or vacuum up ammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline.
• Maintenance and repairs must be done by qualied personnel.
• Use only original Dustbane replacement parts.
• Do not use power nozzle as a step.
• Do not leave power nozzle standing in one place with machine turned on.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, ngers, and all parts of body away from power nozzle openings and moving parts. Do not place
ngers or other body parts under power nozzle unless it is unplugged.
• Do not place the power nozzle over rug edges or fringe.
• The brush motor has a manual reset electronic protector. If the brush roller is jammed, the power nozzle will shut down
automatically. Turn the power nozzle o and unplug it before removing the obstruction. Once the obstruction is removed
you may plug it in and turn on the power nozzle.
• Store the power nozzle in a dry place at room temperature.
• Use this power nozzle only in combination with a Dustbane vacuum cleaner.
• Do not connect power nozzle to a malfunctioning or damaged vacuum cleaner..

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Operating the Power nozzle (Fig. 1 & 2)
A. When the power nozzle is switched on with the swivel neck (#3, g. 2) in the upright locked position, the brush roller will not
spin. To release the power nozzle from the upright locked position, press down on the foot pedal (#8, g. 2) and lower the swivel
neck into the normal operating position. The brush roller will then start spinning and the on/o light on the power nozzle will
illuminate in green*. The handle can be lowered to a horizontal position useful for vacuuming under beds.
B. To clean delicate or hard oor surfaces with straight suction only, the power nozzle is equipped with an on/o switch (#6, gure
1)*. When this switch is used to turn o the brush roller, the green light will change to yellow, indicating to the user that the brush
roller is not turning. Pushing the button again will turn on the brush roller and the light will turn green.
The Brush Height Adjustment Feature (Fig.1)
To adjust the brush height, rotate the dial (#2) for high carpet (dial setting 4) and progressively lower (bare oor is dial setting
1). The brush obstruction light located on top of the power nozzle (#5) will illuminate in red if the height setting is too high. Dial
down to the next number until the light is no longer illuminated. If the red light does not turn o, the brush roller may be worn.
Indicator Lights (Fig. 1, 2 & 3)
The use of a power nozzle is recommended for the optimal cleaning of carpets. The rotating of the swivel neck (gure 3) allows the
power nozzle to steer left and right.
By pushing the foot pedal (#8, gure 2) and lowering the swivel neck, you activate the power nozzle and the brush begins
spinning. Failure to use the foot pedal will cause lasting damage to the machine. The electronic brush control constantly monitors
the status of the brush, communicating the status through the lights on top.
Green ON/OFF Light* (#6, gure 1): Brush is on and spinning.
Yellow ON/OFF Light* (#6, gure 1): The brush roller has been switched o and the vacuum is operating with straight suction only.
Red Brush Warning Light* (#5, gure 1): The brush is not fully engaged in the carpet. The height adjustment should be lowered. If
the height adjustment is at its lowest setting, the brush is worn and needs to be replaced.
Red Brush Warning Light Flashing* (#5, gure 1): The brush is blocked. Turn o the power nozzle, disconnect it from the power
source, and then remove the blockage (see page #)

WARNING: The quality, condition, coating, texture, age and manufacturing technique of all oor surfaces vary. Therefore, power nozzles
with rotating brushes, may damage some oor coverings or surfaces. Some types of high-gloss hardwood oors, cushion vinyl, berber
carpets, long shag, and delicate or hand-woven carpets are particularly vulnerable to damage by rotating brushes. When possible,
consult the materials supplied by your ooring manufacturer for information on proper upkeep and cleaning. To ensure that your new
power nozzle is compatible with your oor, please test the power nozzle on each type of ooring surface in a small inconspicuous area to
determine if any damage occurs. If damage occurs, stop using the power nozzle immediately!

PRODUCT FEATURES
INFORMATION: Your Dustbane Power Nozzle is designed for use with Dustbane Targa units.!
The Power Nozzle DB Targa
This model has four-level manual brush height adjustment. It aggressively cleans
carpets, but the brush roller may be switched o by pressing the green illuminated
on/o button*, so delicate rugs and hard oors can be cleaned with straight suction.
Its amazing 180° steering ability provides maneuverability around furniture, and the
extension side of the L-shaped head makes cleaning edges and under counters easy.
Proceed as follows before starting work:
Brush Obstruction Light & Auto Shut O
If an obstruction becomes jammed in the brush roller, a red brush-warning light
will quickly ash, the brush roller will immediately stop spinning and the vacuum
will shut o. The user should turn the power switch o, unplug the machine, and
immediately remove the obstruction. If the user restarts the machine without removing
the obstruction, the power nozzle will again shut o and the red light will ash. This
prevents the belt from breaking and protects the motor and carpet from damage. This
model comes in two widths and has four-level manual brush height adjustment. It
aggressively cleans carpets, but the brush roller may be switched o by pressing the
green illuminated on/o button*, so delicate rugs and hard oors can be cleaned with
straight suction. Its amazing 180° steering ability provides maneuverability around
furniture, and the extension side of the L-shaped head makes cleaning edges and under counters easy.
Incorrect Height Setting or Brush Deterioration Light
To ensure optimum cleaning at all times, a red brush-warning light will illuminate, to indicate when the brush height is set too
high for eective cleaning or when the brush roller should be replaced due to excessive wear.
Manual Height Adjustment
The power nozzle brush height may be adjusted for high carpet (dial setting 4) and
progressively lower to bare oor (dial setting 1). The brush-warning light located on top
of the power nozzle will illuminate red if the height setting is too high or if the brush
roller is worn. Dial down to the next number until the red light turns o.
Manual and Automatic Brush Shut O
The power nozzle can clean delicate rugs or hard oors with straight suction because
the brush roller can be manually switched o by pressing the green illuminated on/o
button* on the power nozzle cover. Also, the brush roller automatically shuts o when the suction hose from an attached vacuum
is removed from its housing port or when the swivel neck of the power nozzle is in its upright-locked position.
Stationary Use
When the power nozzle swivel neck is in the upright-locked position, it is designed to shut o the brush roller*. The green light will
illuminate only in the operating position. An operating power nozzle should not stand stationary on the oor for inappropriate
periods of time.

A. When the power head is switched on with the swivel neck (#3, figure 2) in the

Easy Brush Removal and Cleaning
Cleaning hair or other debris from the brush roller or replacing it when its
bristles are worn is quick and easy, and no tools are required! This feature
ensures consistently eective brush agitation of the carpet pile.

Easy Maintenance
The clog removal door and brush roller are easy to access on the power
nozzle.
Maintenance Instructions
DANGER: Always disconnect power nozzle from power source before dismantling any part of the machine!
Removing the Brush Roller (Fig. 4)
To remove the brush roller, press the button marked “PRESS” (#10) and turn the brush roller end cap downward. Turn the brush
(#12) slightly to the right and pull it out. We recommend regular removal of threads and hair which have wound around the brush
roller. When cleaning the machine, observe the following precautions:

The brush should be cleaned regularly. Fibers and hair can be pulled out of the brush while manually rotating the roller, or the
roller can be removed from the power nozzle to clean it.

Clogs in the Airow Pathway (Fig. 5)
Many clogs can be removed by accessing the airow pathway via the orange
colored access door (#13, gure 5) located on the underside of the power nozzle.
Clogs in the Swivel Neck
Check the swivel neck regularly for blockages. Do not open the machine. To
check for a clog in the swivel neck. Pull the tube out of the swivel neck. Push the
obstruction down the neck with a stick or long screwdriver and remove it through
the orange access door (#13, gure 5).
For clogs not in the power nozzle, please refer to your canister vacuum owner’s
manual.

Dustbane Products Ltd.
Your new product from Dustbane Products Limited is covered by a full warranty from the date
ofpurchase. This includes all new units and accessories (some exceptions apply) manufactured
orsupplied by Dustbane Products Limited and delivered to the original retail purchaserby an
authorizedDustbane distributor.
Should your product have a defect in material or workmanship under normal use and care within the
warranty period outlined below, Dustbane shall arrange to have the original product returned to our
head oce or toan authorized service center for repair, replacement or refund.
WHAT IS COVERED
Reservoirs
ONE (1) YEAR unconditional warranty on all polyethelene
rotational molded reservoirs to be freefromall cracks and/
or corrosion.
Parts
ONE (1) YEAR unconditional warranty on all equipment
parts against defects in material and workmanship under
normal use and care with the exception of any rubber
components and springs.
Labour
ONE (1) YEAR year unconditional warranty on labour
based on Dustbane’s Labour Rates and equipment parts
under normal use and care with theexception of any
rubber components and springs.
EXEMPTIONS
The following products are exempt from this warranty
andalternate conditions may apply:

WHAT IS NOT COVERED
The provisions of this Warranty shall not apply to:
• any unit of Dustbane Equipment which has been subject
to misuse, negligence, accident, use of inappropriate
accessories, parts or chemicals, or serviceby an
unauthorized Dustbane repair depot.
• normal maintenance services and the replacement
of service items (including but not limited to electric
cord, painted parts, any rubber parts and springs,
switch and bearings) made in connection with such

• Ne pas placer la brosse motorisée sur des bords ou franges des tapis.
• Le moteur à brosses dispose d’un dispositif de protection électronique manuel. Si le rouleau à brosses se coince ou
s’obstrue, la brosse motorisée s’éteint automatiquement. Éteignez puis débranchez l’ensemble moteur avant de retirer
l’obstruction. Une fois l’obstruction retirée, vous pouvez rebrancher puis allumer la brosse motorisée.
• Ranger brosse motorisée dans un endroit sec à température ambiance.
• Utiliser cette tête en combinaison avec un autre appareil Dustbane.
• Ne pas connecter la brosse motorisée à un aspirateur qui se trouve endommagé ou qui fonctionne mal.

INSTRUCTIONS D’OPÉRATION
Mise en marche de la brosse motorisée (g. 1 & 2)
A. Quand la tête de la brosse est activée avec le pivot du manche (#3, gure 2) verrouillé dans sa position verticale, le rouleau à
brosse ne tournera pas. Pour sortir la tête de brosse de sa position verticale, appuyer sur la pédale (#8, gure 2) et abaisser le pivot
de manche pour le mettre en position de fonctionnement normal. Le rouleau à brosse commencera alors à tourner et le voyant
marche/arrêt de la tête de brosse s’allumera en vert*. La poignée peut se mettre en position horizontale pour nettoyer sous le lit.
B.Pour le nettoyage par simple aspiration des surfaces délicates ou des sols durs, la brosse motorisée est équipé d’un interrupteur
marche/arrêt (#6, gure 1)*. Lorsque cet interrupteur est utilisé pour éteindre le rouleau à brosses, une lumière jaune brille pour
indiquer que la brosse en sous tension. Appuyer sur le bouton en position on, la brosse se met à tourner et la lumière s‘allume en
vert.
Caractéristique du réglage de l’hauteur de la brosse (g.1)
Pour ajuster l’hauteur de la brosse, roter le cadran (#2) jusqu’à la position de réglage 4 pour des tapis, et ainsi progressivement
pour des sols nus (position de réglage 1). Le voyant d’obstruction à la brosse situé au sommet de la tête dela brosse (#5) s’allumera
en rouge si le réglage de hauteur est trop élevé. Diminuer jusqu’au numéro suivant jusqu’à extinction du voyant. Si le voyant
rouge ne s’éteint pas, le rouleau à brosse est peut-être usé.
Lumières d’indication (Fig. 1, 2 & 3)
L’usage de la brosse motorisée est pour un nettoyage optimal des tapis. La rotation du cou tournant (gure 3) permet que la tête
bouge à gauche et à droite.
En pressant le pédale (#8, gure 2) et en baissant le cou tournant, vous activez la tête et la brosse commence à tourner. Un
mauvais usage de la pédale peut causer des dommages à la machine. Le contrôle électronique de la brosse agit comme moniteur
et vérie l’état de la brosse, en le communiquant à travers les lumières du haut de l’appareil.
Lumière marche/arrêt verte* (#6, gure 1): La brosse est activée et tourne.
Lumière marche/arrêt jaune*:* (#6, gure 1): Le rouleau à brosse a été éteint et
l’aspirateur fonctionne en mode d’aspiration verticale uniquement.
Lumière d’avertissement de brosse rouge:* (#5, gure 1): La brosse n’est pas totalement
engagée au tapis. L’hauteur devrait être baissée. Sil’hauteur est déjà basse, la brosse est
donc abîmée et doit être remplacée.
Lumière d’avertissement de brosse rouge clignotant:* (#5, gure 1): La brosse est
bloquée. Éteindre la brosse motorisée déconnecter et puis quitter le blocage (voir page 7).
INFORMATION ! Certains modèles ne comportent pas de commutateur marche/arrêt.*
ATTENTION ! La qualité, condition, texture, enduit, âge et manufacture technique des surfaces
des sols varient. C’est pour cela que las têtes de l’appareil avec des brosses à roulettes comme
votre Dustbane peuvent endommager les surfaces. Quelques surfaces vulnérables aux brosses
à roulettes: sols à bois dur et brillant, vinyle, tapis berbère, tapis à longs poils et tapis délicats.
Si c’est possible, renseignez-vous sur les matériaux de vos sols pour nettoyage propre et correct.
Pour vous assurer que votre Dustbane est compatible avec votre sol, essayez la brosse motorisée
sur une petite partie pour observer s’il existe quelque dommage. Si quelque dommage se
présente, arrêter l’usage de la brosse motorisée immédiatement.

Operating the Power Head
- Figures 1 & 2
A. When the power head is switched on with the swivel neck (#3, figure 2) in the
upright locked position, the brush roller will not spin and the on/off light will
illuminate in yellow*. To release the power head from the upright locked posi-
tion, press down on the foot pedal (#8, figure 2) and lower the swivel neck into
the normal operating position. The brush roller will then start spinning and the
on/off light on the power head will illumin
ate in green*.
The handle can be lowered to a horizontal position useful for vacuuming under
beds.
B. To clean delicate or hard floor surfaces with straight suction only, the power
head is equipped with an on/off switch (#6, figure 1)*. When this switch is used
to turn off the brush roller, the green light will change to yellow, indicating to
the user that the brush roller is not turning. Pushing the button again will turn
on the brush roller and the light will turn green.
The Brush Height Adjustment Feature - Figure 1
To adjust the brush height, rotate the dial (#2) for high carpet (dial setting 4) and
progressively lower (bare floor is dial setting 1). The brush obstruction light
located on top of the power head (#5) will illuminate in red if the height setting is
too high. Dial down to the next number until the light is no longer illuminated. If
the red light does not turn off, the brush roller may be worn.
Indicator Lights - Figures 1, 2 & 3*
The use of a power head is recommended for the optimal cleaning of carpets.
The rotating of the swivel neck (figure 3) allows the power head to steer left and
right.
By pushing the foot pedal (#8, figure 2) and lowering the swivel neck, you acti-
vate the power head and the brush begins spinning. Failure to use the foot
pedal will cause lasting damage to the machine. The electronic brush control
constantly monitors the status of the brush, communicating the status through
the lights on top.
Green O
n/Off Light*: Brush is on and spinning.
(#6, figure 1)
Yellow On/Off Light*: The brush roller has been switched off and the
(#6, figure 1) vacuum is operating with straight suction only.
Red Brush-warning Light: The brush is not fully engaged in the carpet. The
(#5, figure 1) height adjustment should be lowered. If the height
adjustment is at its lowest setting, the brush is
worn and needs to be replaced.

Light Flashing: The brush is blocked. Turn off the powe
r head,
(#5, figure 1) disconnect it from the power source, and then
remove the blockage (see page 7).
WARNING!
The quality, condition, coating, texture, age and manufacturing technique of all floor surfaces vary.
Therefore, power heads with rotating brushes, including your SEBO, may damage some floor coverings or surfaces.
Some types of high-gloss hardwood floors, cushion vinyl, berber carpets, long shag, and delicate or hand-woven carpets are
particularly vulnera
ble to damage by rotating brushes. When possible, consult the materials supplied by your flooring manu-
facturer for information on proper upkeep and cleaning. To ensure that your new SEBO power head is compatible with your
floor, please test the power head on each type of flooring surface in a small inconspicuous area to determine if any
damage occurs. If damage occurs, stop using the power head immediately!

CARACTÉRISTIQUES DES PRODUITS DUSTBANE

Brosse motorisée
Ce modèle dispose d’un dispositif manuel d’ajustement de la hauteur de la brosse à 4 niveaux. Il nettoie les moquettes de
manière agressive, mais le rouleau à brosses peut être éteint en appuyant sur le voyant lumineux marche/arrêt vert* pour un
nettoyage par simple aspiration des tapis délicats et des sols durs. Son incroyable capacité de guidage à 180° permet une grande
manoeuvrabilité autour des meubles, et le côté extension de la tête en L facilite le nettoyage des rebords et des dessous de
comptoir.
Voyant d’obstruction de brosse et mise à l’arrêt automatique
Si la brosse à roulettes est bloquée, la tête s’éteindra en 3 secondes, un voyant d’avertissement de brosse rouge placée en dessous
de la tête s’allumera et la brosse à roulettes ne va plus rouler. Cela évite la rupture de la courroie et protège le moteur de tout
endommagement. L’usager devra appuyer sur OFF (arrêt), déconnecter l’appareil et quitter l’obstruction immédiatement. Si
l’usager allume la machine sans quitter ce qui bloque l’appareil, la tête s’éteindra de nouveau et la lumière rouge ashera.
Voyant de réglage incorrect de la hauteur ou de détérioration de la brosse
An d’assurer le nettoyage optimum à tout moment, un voyant d’avertissement de brosse rouge s’allumera, pour indiquer quand
la hauteur de la brosse est réglée trop haut pour donner un nettoyage ecace ou quand le rouleau à brosse devrait être remplacé
par suite d’usure excessive.
Réglage manuel de l’hauteur
L’hauteur des têtes motorisée doit être ajusté pour des tapis à longs poils (position de réglage 4) et descendre progressivement
pour des sols nus (position de réglage 1). La voyant d’avertissemen brosse placée sur la motorisée s’allumera si l’hauteur est
grande ou si les brosses à roulettes sont usées ou abîmées. Baisser l’hauteur jusqu’à ce que la lumière rouge soit éteinte.
Éteinte manuelle et automatique des rouleaux
La brosse motorisée est capable de nettoyer les tapis délicats ou les sols durs par simple aspiration, car le rouleau à brosses peut
être éteint manuellement en appuyant sur le voyant lumineux marche/arrêt vert* situé sur le couvercle de la brosse motorisée. Le
rouleau à brosses s’éteint aussi automatiquement dès que le tuyau d’aspiration d’un aspirateur branché est retiré de son embout
ou dès que le cou tournant de la brosse motorisée est dans sa position verticale/verrouillée.
Utilisation stationnaire
Quand le pivot du manche de la tête de la brosse est verrouillé dans sa position verticale, il est conçu pour arrêter le rouleau à
brosse. Le voyant vert s’allume uniquement en position de fonctionnement. Lorsque la brosse motorisée est en marche, il ne doit
pas rester immobile sur le sol durant une période prolongée.
Brosse facile à retirer et à nettoyer
Enlever les cheveux ou autres débris du rouleau-brosse, et le remplacer s’il est usé, sont des procédures faciles et rapides pour
lesquelles aucun outil n’est requis ! Cette fonctionnalité garantit une ecacité constante de l’agitation par la brosse du velours de
la moquette.

Entretien facile
La porte d’évacuation des encombrements et le rouleau-brosse sont faciles d’accès sur la brosse motorisée.
INSTRUCTIONS POUR L’ENTRETIEN :
DANGER : Débranchez toujours la brosse motorisée de la source d’alimentation avant de démanteler toute partie de la machine !
Retirer la rouleau-brosse (g. 4)
Pour changer la brosse, presser le bouton marqué “PRESS” (#10) et tourner le
bouchon de la brosse à roulettes vers le bas. Tourner la brosse (#12) vers la
droite et retirer. On recommande un changement régulier des cheveux et des
ls qui se trouvent sur la brosse.
Nettoyer la brosse à roulettes
ATTENTION : Débranchez la brosse motorisée de la source d’alimentation avant
de nettoyer la brosse.
La brosse doit être nettoyée régulièrement. Fibres et poils peuvent être
enlevés de la brosse en la rotant manuellement ou en l’enlevant de la brosse motorisée pour la nettoyer.
ÉLIMINATION DES PELUCHES :
DANGER : Débranchez toujours la brosse motorisée de la source d’alimentation avant de retirer toute source d’obstruction !
Peluches dans la voie du courant d’air (g. 5)
Beaucoup de peluches peuvent être enlevées en accédant via la porte
orange (#13) le tube d’air, placée sous la brosse motorisée.
Peluches dans le cou tournant
Réviser régulièrement le cou tournant pour blocages. Ne pas ouvrir
la machine. Pour réviser une peluche dans le cou tournant. Retirer le
tube. Pousser l’obstruction vers le bas du cou avec un bâton ou un long
tournevis et retirer par la porte orange (#13).
Pour les obstructions situées ailleurs que dans la brosse motorisée,
veuillez vous reporter au manuel d’utilisation de votre aspirateur.

the telescopic tube by pressing the release button (#9, page 5). Pull
the tube out of the swivel neck. Push the obstruction down the neck
with a stick or long screwdriver and remove it through the orange
access door (#13, figure 5).
