• Do not drop or insert any foreign object into
any opening or hose.
• Keep electrical cord away from
heated surfaces.
• Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where
oxygen is being administered.
• Do not use iodine or water insoluble
concentrated essential oils in this product.
Use of these can reduce performance and will
shorten the life of the product. Use of these
products may void warranty.
• Fill reservoir with water or other dental
professional recommended solution only.
• Remove any oral jewelry prior to use of
this product.
• Do not use if you have an open wound on
your tongue or in your mouth.
• If your physician or cardiologist has advised
you to receive antibiotic premedication before
dental procedures, you should consult your
dentist before using this instrument or any
other oral hygiene aid.
• If the Pik Pocket™ tip (not included in all
models) separates from the sha for any
reason, discard tip and sha and replace
with new Pik Pocket™ tip (PP-100E).
• Do not use this product for more than
5 minutes in each two-hour period.
• Unit will shut o automatically aer
5 minutes of continuous usage.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Children should
be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
• This product does not contain any user
serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open

GETTING STARTED
Powering the Unit
Fill
Plug the cord into an electrical outlet. If the outlet is controlled by a wall switch, be
sure it is turned on.
Preparing the Reservoir
Li the reservoir lid, remove the reservoir, and ll with lukewarm water. Replace the
reservoir over the base and press down rmly and, close the lid.
Inserting and Removing Tips
Insert tip into the center of the Water Flosser handle, pressing down rmly until the

tip clicks into place. The colored ring will be ush with the top of the handle if the tip
is correctly locked into place. To remove tip from the handle push the tip eject button
on the handle.
Prime Unit (First Time Use Only)
Set pressure control dial on base to pressure setting No.10, point the handle and tip
into sink. Turn power ON and wait until water ows from the tip. Turn power OFF.
Adjusting the Pressure Setting
Turn the pressure control dial on the base of the unit to the lowest setting for rst-
Low
time use. Gradually increase pressure over time to the setting you prefer
– or as instructed by your dental professional.
Using the Water Flosser
Always place the tip in your mouth before turning the power ON.
Lean over sink and slightly close lips. Turn power ON. Allow water to ow
from your mouth into the sink.
For best results, start with back teeth and work toward the front teeth. Direct
•
the stream at a 90-degree angle to your gumline with tip in mouth. Glide tip along
gumline and pause briey between teeth. Continue until you have cleaned the inside
and outside of both the upper and lower teeth.
Clean Mode
When the power is initially turned on, the Clean mode indicator light will turn on and
remain on for approximately 30 seconds before turning o.
Sensitive Mode
Designed to quickly adjust pressure for those sensitive areas of your mouth without
having to reach to the base. When sensitive mode is activated, the water osser will
automatically reduce the pressure. For best results, use the clean mode and set the
unit to the pressure setting for you and then as you move to sensitive areas simply
hit the mode button for sensitive mode and then hit the mode button again aer you
pass the sensitive area, to go back to clean mode.

When Finished
Turn the power OFF. Empty any liquid le in the reservoir. Unplug the unit.
Note: If you used mouthwash or other solution besides water, see “Using
Mouthwash and Other Solutions” section.

TIP USAGE
Pik Pocket™ Tip
The Pik Pocket™ tip is specically designed to deliver water or anti-bacterial
solutions deep into periodontal pockets.
To use the Pik Pocket™ tip, set the unit to the lowest pressure setting. Place
the so tip against a tooth at a 45-degree angle and gently place the tip under the
gumline, into the pocket.
Tongue Cleaner Tip
Set to lowest pressure setting, place tip in the center/middle of your tongue about
half way back. Pull forward with light pressure. Increase pressure as you prefer.
Orthodontic Tip
To use the Orthodontic tip, gently glide tip along gumline, pausing briey to lightly
brush area between teeth and all around orthodontic bracket, before proceeding to
the next tooth.
Plaque Seeker™ Tip
To use the Plaque Seeker™ tip, place the tip close to the teeth so that the bristles are
gently touching the teeth. Gently glide tip along gumline, pausing briey between
teeth to gently brush and allow the water to ow between the teeth.
Implant Denture Tip
The Implant Denture tip is specically designed to access areas that are unreachable
with a Classic Jet Tip, Plaque Seeker™ tip, or Pik Pocket™ tip. To use the Implant
Denture tip, place the tip on the lingual side at one end of the implant retained
denture. The opening of the tip is directed between the natural gum tissue and the
denture directing the water under the denture. Slowly glide the tip along the space
between the natural gum tissue and the denture until you have cleaned underneath
the entire length of the denture.
Using Mouthwash and Other Solutions
Your Waterpik® Water Flosser can be used to deliver mouthwash and antibacterial
solutions. Aer using any special solution, rinse unit to prevent clogging by partially
lling reservoir with warm water and running unit with tip pointed into sink until unit
is empty.

Cleaning
Before cleaning, unplug from the electrical outlet. Clean the product when necessary by
using a so cloth and mild non-abrasive cleanser.
The water reservoir is removable for easy cleaning and is top rack dishwasher safe.
Removing Hard Water Deposits / General Cleaning
Hard water deposits may build up in your unit, depending on the mineral content of you
water. If le unattended, it can hinder performance.
Cleaning internal parts: add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to a full reservoir of warm
water. Point the handle and tip into sink. Turn unit ON and run until reservoir is empty.
Rinse by repeating with a full reservoir of clean warm water.
This process should be done every 1 to 3 months to ensure optimal performance.
Leakage
If leaking due to a damaged hose, replacement hoses and handles can be purchased at
www.waterpik.com or contact Water Pik, Inc. customer service for a self service repair kit.
Battery Removal
This product contains one coin-cell battery (CR-2032) Lithium Manganese Dioxide in the
handle assembly. The battery is not replaceable. Please do not dispose of the unit in
the household waste. Remove the battery per the instructions below and recycle at your
local recycling center.
Note: This process is not reversible
Remove the battery only at the end of the product’s life for recycling. Doing so earlier
will destroy the product. Observe basic safety precautions to protect your eyes, hands,
ngers, and work surface. Remove the battery as shown and recycle it and the rest of
the product according to local regulations.
1. Obtain a towel or cloth, a hammer, and a at head screwdriver.
2. Remove and discard the tip.
3. Cover the handle entirely with the towel or cloth.
4. Clamp the top of the handle against your work surface and strike the handle
housing along the seam on the side of the handle. Pry handle apart using a at
head screwdriver.
5. Once the handle is separated into two pieces, remove the coin-cell battery from
the circuit board.
6. The internal components should slide out when the handle is positioned
upside-down. If this does not occur, repeat steps 5 and 6 until the
components release.
7. Recycle and dispose of the battery properly.
8. The remaining product pieces should be discarded appropriately.

Water Pik, Inc. warrants to the original consumer of this product that it is free
from defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase.
Consumer will be required to submit the original purchase receipt as
proof of purchase date and if requested, the entire product, to support a
warranty claim. Water Pik, Inc. will replace the product provided the product has
not been abused, misused, altered or damaged aer purchase, was used according
to instructions, and was used only with accessories or consumable parts approved by
Water Pik, Inc. This limited warranty excludes accessories or consumable parts such
as tips and brush heads.

vary, depending on the law in your place of residence.

PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
Mise sous tension de l’appareil
Branchez le cordon d’alimentation sur une prise murale classique. Si la prise est

l’anneau coloré sera aligné avec la partie supérieure du manche. Pour retirer l’embout
de du manche, appuyez sur le bouton d’éjection de l’embout sur le manche

Utilisation de l’hydropulseur
Penchez-vous au-dessus du lavabo en fermant légèrement les lèvres. Mettez
l’appareil en marche. Laissez l’eau s’écouler par la bouche dans le lavabo.
Pour des résultats optimaux, commencez par les dents du fond et progressez vers
•
les dents de devant. Placez l’embout dans la bouche et orientez le jet à un angle de
90 degrés vers le rebord gingival. Faites glisser l’embout le long du rebord gingival et
faites de courtes pauses entre les dents. Poursuivez jusqu’à ce que vous ayez nettoyé
l’intérieur et l’extérieur des dents supérieures et inférieures.
Mode « Nettoyage »
Lorsque l’appareil est mis en marche, le voyant du mode « Nettoyage » s’allume et reste
allumé pendant environ 30 secondes avant de s’éteindre.

Mode
Conçu pour rapidement ajuster la pression au niveau des zones sensibles de la bouche
sans avoir besoin d’utiliser le socle. Lorsque le mode sensible est activé, l’hydropulseur
réduira automatiquement la pression. Pour de meilleurs résultats, utilisez le mode
nettoyage et dénissez l’unité sur le réglage de la pression qui vous convient. Lorsque
vous voulez nettoyer les zones sensibles, il vous sut d’appuyer sur le bouton de mode
pour activer le mode sensible. Après avoir nettoyé la zone sensible, appuyez à nouveau
sur le bouton de mode pour revenir en mode nettoyage.

Éteignez l’appareil. Videz le réservoir. Débranchez l’appareil.

UTILISATION DE L’EMBOUT
Embout Pik Pocket

L’embout Pik Pocket
MC
est spécialement conçu pour diriger l’eau ou les solutions
antibactériennes dans la profondeur des poches parodontales.
Pour l’utilisation de l’embout de périodontie Pik Pocket,
MC
sélectionnez la plus
basse pression sur l’appareil. Mettez l’interrupteur d’alimentation en eau situé
sur le manche à la position OFF (arrêt). Placez l’extrémité souple de l’embout contre
une dent, en formant un angle de 45 degrés, et introduisez doucement l’extrémité de
l’embout sous la gencive, dans la poche. Appuyez sur le bouton de mise sous tension
sur le socle et placez l’interrupteur d’alimentation en eau à la position ON (marche).
Embout gratte-langue
Mettez l’interrupteur d’alimentation en eau à la position OFF (arrêt) sur le manche.
Sélectionnez le réglage de pression le plus bas, placez l’embout au centre/milieu de
la langue vers le milieu de la bouche (avant/arrière). Appuyez sur le bouton de mise
sous tension sur le socle et placez l’interrupteur d’alimentation en eau à la position
ON (marche). Déplacez le gratte-langue vers l’avant en exerçant une légère pression.
Augmentez la pression si nécessaire.
Embout orthodontique
Pour l’utilisation de l’embout orthodontique, faites glisser doucement l’embout le
long de la gencive; faites une brève pause pour brosser doucement entre les dents
et autour des composants de l’appareil orthodontique, avant de passer à la dent
suivante.
Embout Plaque Seeker

Pour l’utilisation de l’embout Plaque Seeker
MC
, placez l’embout très près de la dent
pour que les soies de la brosse soient en léger contact avec la dent. Suivez le rebord
gingival et marquez une brève pause entre les dents pour brosser en douceur et
permettre à l’eau de passer entre les dents.
Embout pour implants et prothèses dentaires
L’embout pour implants et prothèses dentaires est spécialement conçu pour
atteindre des zones de la bouche que les embouts Jet classique, Plaque Seeker
MC
et Pik Pocket
MC
ne peuvent pas atteindre. Pour utiliser l’embout pour implants et
prothèses dentaires, placez l’embout du côté lingual, à une extrémité de la prothèse
retenue par des implants. L’ouverture de l’embout est dirigée entre les tissus
gingivaux naturels et la prothèse, orientant l’eau sous la prothèse. Faites lentement
glisser l’embout le long de l’espace entre les tissus gingivaux naturels et la prothèse,
jusqu’à ce que vous ayez nettoyé le dessous de la prothèse, sur toute sa longueur.

NETTOYAGE ET DÉPANNAGE DE L HYDROPULSEUR WATERPIK®
Utilisation de rince-bouche et autres solutions
Vous pouvez utiliser l’hydropulseur Waterpik
MD
pour l’administration d’un rince-
bouche ou d’une solution antibactérienne. Après l’utilisation d’une quelconque
solution spéciale, rincez l’appareil pour éviter la formation d’une obstruction :
remplissez partiellement le réservoir avec de l’eau tiède et faites fonctionner
l’appareil pour éjecter tout le contenu du réservoir dans l’évier (embout orienté vers
l’évier).
Nettoyage
Avant une opération de nettoyage, débranchez l’appareil de la prise de courant.
Nettoyez le produit lorsque c’est nécessaire, avec un linge doux et un produit de
nettoyage non agressif et non abrasif.
Le réservoir d’eau est amovible, ce qui facilite le nettoyage; on peut aussi le placer
dans le panier supérieur d’un lave-vaisselle.
Nettoyage général/Élimination des dépôts d’eau dure
Des dépôts dus à l’eau dure peuvent s’accumuler dans votre appareil en fonction
de la teneur en minéraux de votre eau. Si ceux-ci ne sont pas nettoyés, ils peuvent
entraver le bon fonctionnement de l’appareil.
Nettoyage des parties internes : Ajoutez 2 cuillères à soupe de vinaigre blanc dans
un réservoir rempli d’eau tiède. Dirigez le manche et l’embout vers l’évier. Mettez
l’appareil en MARCHE et faites-le fonctionner jusqu’à ce que le réservoir se vide.
Rincez en répétant l’opération avec un réservoir rempli d’eau tiède et propre.
Il est recommandé d’eectuer cette opération tous les 1 à 3 mois pour maximiser la
performance.
Fuite
Si vous constatez une fuite au niveau d’un tuyau endommagé, vous pouvez acheter
des tuyaux et manches de rechange sur www.waterpik.ca ou contacter le service à
la clientèle de Water Pik, Inc. pour obtenir un ensemble de réparation/remplacement
pour utilisateur.

Retirer la pile
Retrait de la pile
Ce produit contient une pile bouton (CR-2032) à dioxyde de lithium-manganèse dans
le manche. La pile n’est pas remplaçable. Ne jetez pas l’appareil dans les ordures
ménagères. Retirez la pile conformément aux instructions ci-dessous, puis recyclez-
la dans votre centre de recyclage local.
Remarque : Ce processus n’est pas réversible. Ne retirez la pile qu’en n de vie du
produit pour recyclage. Retirer la pile avant la n de vie du produit le détruirait.
Respectez les mesures de sécurité élémentaires an de protéger les yeux, mains,
doigts et la surface de travail. Retirez la pile comme illustré, puis recyclez-la, ainsi
que le reste du produit, conformément à la règlementation locale.
1. Munissez-vous d’une serviette ou d’un torchon, d’un marteau et d’un tournevis
à tête plate.
2. Retirez et jetez l’embout.
3. Recouvrez entièrement le manche avec la serviette ou le torchon.
4. Fixez la partie supérieure du manche contre votre surface de travail, puis frappez
sur le logement du manche, le long de ligne sur le côté du manche.
Séparez le manche en deux à l’aide d’un tournevis à tête plate.
5. Une fois le manche séparé en deux, retirez la pile bouton du circuit imprimé.
6. Les composants internes devraient sortir en glissant lorsque le manche est
retourné. Si ce n’est pas le cas, répétez les étapes 5 et 6 jusqu’à ce que tous
les composants soient tombés.
7. Recyclez et jetez la pile d’une manière appropriée.
8. Les autres pièces du produit devraient être mises au rebut de manière appropriée.
