Wireless Handheld Keypad

The WLS910 is a wireless handheld keypad which can
perform any hardware keypad function. The handheld
keypad operates in conjunction with the PC5132 Wireless
Receiver. For a complete description of keypad functions,
please consult your PC5010 Instruction Manual.
Just as there are function keys located on your system’s
keypads, there is single-button activation of commmonly-used
features from the WLS910 through the number keys [1] to [4].
Together with your installer, you can decide which functions
you wish to have accessible from your portable keypad.
To activate any one of the four selected functions, press
and hold the appropriate key for two seconds. Your
installer will indicate each function by marking them on a
label applied to the back of the handheld keypad.
Signals will not be received if the keypad is not
within the range of the wireless receiver.
Some of the most commonly used functions are as follows:
Stay Arming
Press this button to arm your system in the Stay mode. All
perimeter zones will be armed, such as all window and door
contacts, but the interior zones will remain inactive, allowing
you to stay on the premises without setting off an alarm.
Away Arming
Press this button to arm your system in the Away mode. Both the interior and
exterior zones will be armed, after you exit the premises.
Other options are available. Please discuss all WLS910 options with your installer
in order for them to program the best possible combination to suit your needs.
Fire, Auxiliary and Panic Keys
There are also three emergency keys located above the number pad marked
[F], [A] and [P]. If these keys have been enabled by your installer, they will
perform the following functions:
[F] Fire
Press this button to notify your central monitoring station of a fire condition.
[A] Auxiliary
Press this button to notify your central monitoring station of an emergency.
Please discuss the functionality of this button with your installer.
[P] Panic
Press this button to notify your central monitoring station of a situation requiring
the police, such as a break-in.
Replacing the WLS910 Batteries
When the handheld keypad batteries are low, the Trouble light on the main
system keypads will turn ON (see “Viewing Trouble Conditions” in your PC5010
Instruction Manual). To replace the batteries, remove plastic battery cover from
the back of the unit. Remove all of the old batteries. Insert the new batteries and
replace the plastic battery cover. The WLS910 requires three “AAA” batteries.
NOTE: Ensure the batteries are installed observing proper polarity.
• This system is designed to work with Eveready Alkaline Energizer Batteries.
Do not install any other type. The reliability of the security system depends on its
batteries, and “no name” or generic brand batteries may not provide the best
quality and dependability.
• Use fresh batteries. Most batteries have a “best before” date printed on their
packaging or on the batteries themselves. Buy batteries that have a “best
before” date of two years or more from your purchase date.
• When disposing of used batteries, follow the instructions and precautions
printed on the batteries. Many cities and communities have collection sites or
services for used household batteries. Contact your municipal offices for
information on the disposal of used batteries.
Limited Warranty
Digital Security Controls Ltd. warrants that for a period of twelve months from the date of
purchase, the product shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
and that in fulfilment of any breach of such warranty, Digital Security Controls Ltd. shall, at its
option, repair or replace the defective equipment upon return of the equipment to its factory. This
warranty applies only to defects in parts and workmanship and not to damage incurred in
shipping or handling, or damage due to causes beyond the control of Digital Security Controls
Ltd. such as lightning, excessive voltage, mechanical shock, water damage, or damage arising
out of abuse, alteration or improper application of the equipment.
The foregoing warranty shall apply only to the original buyer, and is and shall be in lieu of any and all
other warranties, whether expressed or implied and of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of
Digital Security Controls Ltd. This warranty contains the entire warranty. Digital Security Controls Ltd.
neither assumes, nor authorizes any other person purporting to act on its behalf to modify or to change
this warranty, nor to assume for it any other warranty or liability concerning this product.
In no event shall Digital Security Controls Ltd. be liable for any direct or indirect or consequential
damages, loss of anticipated profits, loss of time or any other losses incurred by the buyer in
connection with the purchase, installation or operation or failure of this product.
Warning: Digital Security Controls Ltd. recommends that the entire system be completely tested on
a regular basis. However, despite frequent testing, and due to, but not limited to, criminal tampering
or electrical disruption, it is possible for this product to fail to perform as expected.

CAUTION: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Digital Security Controls Ltd. could void your
authority to use this equipment.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part
15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not in-
stalled and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does
cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

Re-orient the receiving antenna.

Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
n
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/television technician for help.
