1.2 Description of the control panel (B)

2. USING THE APPLIANCE

1. Plug the appliance in: you will hear a beep and the applian-

ce is ready to use;

2. Remove the plastic tab from the battery (g. 1);

3. To turn the appliance on, press the button ( B1 or D1).

The appliance turns on at MED fan speed and the ionizer

is on (g. 2).

2.1 Setting fan speed

1. Press the button (B2 or D4);

2. When you press the button, the fan speed changes (

MED, MAX, MIN) (g. 3).

2.2 Cooler/Humidifying

Fill the water tank before selecting this function.

1. Extract the water tank (g. 4) and ll with MAX 4.5L (152

oz) of fresh tap water (do not overload the water tank: see

water level indicator A2).

2. Put the tank back in the appliance;

3. Press the button (B3 or D6): the corresponding light

on the display turns on (g. 5) and the air, owing through

the cooling pad, comes out fresh and contributes to decrea-

se the room temperature;

Please note:

At rst use, the appliance could emit a strange odor and the

water could be discolored: this is part of normal use.

Using the ice box/pack you can increase the eciency of the

appliance.

4. Fill the ice box/pack with tap water (g. 6);

5. Put the ice box/pack in the freezer and leave it in until it is

frozen (g. 7);

6. Put the ice box/pack vertically in the front left corner of the

tank as shown in gure 8;

7. Replace the water tank, turn on the appliance and select

Cooling/Humidifying: the air ow will be fresher than be-

fore (g. 9).

Please note:

Always check the Ice box/pack is correctly inserted in its housing

(see g. 8).

2.3 Selecting the fan mode

The appliance can be set for 3 dierent fan modes:

1. NORMAL- Press the button (B2 or D4) to select the

fan speed;

2. NATURAL - Press the MODE button (B4 or D5) once. The

appliance performs random ventilation cycles at dierent

speeds, interrupted by a few seconds of stop (g. 10);

3. SLEEP - Press the MODE button (B4 or D5) twice. The ap-

pliance runs 30 minutes at MAX speed, then 30 minutes at

MED speed: then runs continuosly at MIN speed (g. 11).

2.4 Swing

Press the button (B5 or D2)once to activate the rotating

vent (g. 12).

Press again to exit swing mode.

The corresponding LED turns on and o accordingly.

You can also adjust vertically the vent by lightly pushing the vent

to orientate the air ow (g. 13): always adjust the vent when

the vent is stationary.

2.5 Auto O

You can set the delayed shut o from 1 to 24 hours by pressing

the

button (B6 or D3).

1. Select the number relative to the operating hours desired:

the number will be shown on the display (C1);

2. symbol ashes to highlight that you are program-

ming the auto o: when the ashing stops, the auto o is

set (g. 14);

If you want to exit the “Auto o” function, repeatedly press the

button (B6 or D3) until “00” is displayed: symbol a-

shes then disappears and “Auto O” function is disabled.

3. REFILLING THE WATER TANK

Please note:

Turn o the unit and let sit two minutes before removing drawer

to allow excess water to drain back into tank.

Always check that there is water in the water tank before using

the Cooler/Humidifying function. If the water nishes in the

tank during use, the appliance emits a beep and the symbol a-

shes (g. 15): the appliance continues with the function.

1. Remove the water tank (g. 4) and ll with MAX 4.5L

(152oz) of fresh tap water only (do not overll the water

tank: see water level indicator A2);

2. Put the tank back in the appliance.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.

• Never immerse the appliance in water.

• Pouring water on the unit is strictly forbidden (g. 16).

• Do not use benzine, alcohol or solvents for cleaning.

• Do not spray insecticide liquid or similar since the plastic

could be deformed.

• Clean the surface of the unit with a damp cloth, never use

an abrasive scourer directly on the outside surface as it

might scratch.

4.1 Cleaning the dust lter and the cooling pad

To avoid clogging of the dustproof lter, please clean the lter

regulary. The frequency of cleaning is to be related to the wor-

king time: if used daily, it is suggested to clean lter weekly.

• Remove the dust lter and cooling pad (g. 17);

• Remove the dust from the lter and the cooling pad using a

vacuum cleaner (g. 18);

• Wash thoroughly the cooling pad with water; then leave it

to completely dry and reassemble the lters in its housing

(g. 19).

• To maintain the eciency of the appliance, it is suggested

to change the cooling pad every year.

4.2 Cleaning the water tank

Please note:

• Clean thoroughly with a cleaning sanitizer, easily available

in stores (g. 20).

4.3 Changing the battery of the remote control

• Remove the battery holder on the back of the remote con-

trol (g. 21);

• Insert one 3V CR2025 type lithium battery on the support,

checking that the polarity is correct (+ and -) (g. 22).

Please note:

• If you change or dispose the remote control, the bat-

tery must be removed and disposed of according to local

recycling regulations.

• Never throw the battery in re as it may explode or leak

dangerous liquids.

• This equipment has been tested and found to comply with

the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of

the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reaso-

nable protection against harmful interference in a residen-

tial installation.

• This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio fre-

quency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance

with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

Below is a list of some of the possible malfunctions.

spots or algae issue, use a damp cloth to wipe

away the algae until all spots have disappea-

red. Make sure all parts are clean and dry before

storage. Contact Customer Service if problem

algae or mold, change it with a new one

Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, il faut le

faire remplacer par le fabricant ou par son SAV, de

manière à prévenir tout type de risque.

• Votre produit est équipé d’une che pour ligne

à courant alternatif polarisée (che disposant

d’une lame plus large que l’autre). Cette che

peut être insérée dans la prise d’une seule

manière possible. Il s’agit d’une fonction de

sécurité. Si vous ne parvenez pas à insérer com-

plètement la che dans la prise, essayez d’in-

verser la che. Si la che ne rentre toujours pas,

contactez votre électricien pour faire remplacer

l’ancienne prise. Ne tentez pas d’éliminer la car-

actéristique de sécurité de la che polarisée.

Éviter d’utiliser des rallonges pour le câble

d’alimentation électrique.

2.2 Refroidissement/Humidication

Préparer l’appareil en remplissant le réservoir d’eau.

1. Extraire le réservoir d’eau (g. 4) et le remplir d’eau fraîche

du robinet (MAX 4,5/152 oz); veiller à ne pas dépasser le

niveau MAX visible sur l’indicateur de niveau (A2).

2. Réinsérer le réservoir d’eau;

3. Appuyer sur la touche (B3 ou D6): le symbole corre-

spondant s’allume à l’écran (g. 5). L’air traverse le disposi-

tif de refroidissement et sort rafraîchi, en contribuant ainsi

à diminuer la température ambiante ;

Remarque :

À la première utilisation de cette fonction, l’eau dans le réservoir

pourrait se colorer : cela fait partie du fonctionnement normal

de l’appareil.

Pour augmenter les performances de l’appareil, utiliser l’”Ice

box”.

4. Remplir l’”Ice box” d’eau du robinet (g. 6);

5. Mettre l’”Ice box” au congélateur (g. 7) et l’y laisser jusqu’à

congélation ;

6. Extraire le réservoir d’eau et mettre l’”Ice box” à l’intérieur

en le plaçant dans le coin arrière gauche (g. 8);

7. Réinsérer le réservoir d’eau, allumer l’appareil et sél-

ectionner la fonction “Refroidissement/Humidication” :

l’air émis par l’appareil sera plus frais (g. 9).

Remarque :

S’assurer que l’”Ice box” soit bien positionné dans le logement

prévu à cet eet (g. 8).

2.3 Sélectionner le mode de ventilation

L’appareil peut être programmé pour fonctionner en 3 diérents

modes de ventilation:

1. NORMAL- Appuyer sur la touche (B2 ou D4) pour sél-

ectionner la vitesse de ventilation ;

2. NATUREL Appuyer une fois sur la touche MODE (B4 ou

D5). L’appareil eectue des cycles de ventilation aléatoire

à diérentes vitesses, alternés avec quelques secondes de

pause (g. 10) ;

3. SLEEP- Appuyer deux fois sur la touche MODE (B4 ou D5).

L’appareil fonctionne automatiquement pendant 30 minu-

tes à la vitesse MAX, puis 30 minutes à la vitesse MED : il

continue à la vitesse MIN (g. 11).

2.4 Swing

Appuyer sur la touche (B5 ou D2) pour activer la rotation

de la grille (g. 12)

Pour arrêter la rotation, presser à nouveau la même touche.

Le symbole correspondant s’allume et s’éteint.

La grille peut être inclinée verticalement en la déplaçant ma-

nuellement pour orienter l’écoulement de l’air (g. 13) : ef-

fectuer ce réglage avec la grille à l’arrêt, sans forcer.

2.5 Auto O

Il est possible de programmer l’arrêt retardé, de 1 à 24 heures, en

appuyant sur la touche

(B6 ou D3).

1. Appuyer jusqu’à sélectionner le numéro relatif aux heu-

res de fonctionnement souhaitées : le numéro s’ache à

l’écran (C1);

2. Le symbole et la valeur numérique clignotent pour

indiquer que la programmation de l’arrêt automatique est

en cours. Quand le symbole et la valeur numérique restent

allumés xes, la programmation est enregistrée (g. 14).

Pour quitter l’arrêt automatique, appuyer sur la touche

(B6 ou D3) jusqu’à programmer la valeur numérique “00”: le

symbole

et “00” clignotent. Lorsqu’ils s’éteignent, l’arrêt

automatique est annulé.

3. REMPLIR LE RÉSERVOIR D’EAU

Remarque :

Avant d’enlever le réservoir, éteindre l’appareil et laisser reposer

pendant deux minutes pour permettre à l’excès d’eau de retour-

ner dans le réservoir.

Avant de lancer la fonction Refroidissement/humidication,

toujours s’assurer qu’il y ait de l’eau dans le réservoir. Si l’eau

termine, durant l’utilisation, l’appareil émet un signal sonore et

le symbole clignote (g. 15): l’appareil continuera cependant de

ventiler.

1. Extraire le réservoir d’eau (g. 4) et le remplir avec MAX

4.5L (152oz) d’eau fraîche du robinet (toujours utiliser de

l’eau du robinet, ne jamais surremplir le réservoir): vérier

4. NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

• Toujours débrancher l’appareil du secteur, avant de le

nettoyer.

• Ne jamais plonger l’appareil dans l’eau.

• Ne jamais verser d’eau directement sur l’appareil (g. 16).

• Ne jamais utiliser de benzine, d’alcool ou de solvants.

• Ne jamais vaporiser d’insecticides ou de substances similai-

res : le plastique pourrait se déformer.

• Nettoyer la surface de l’appareil avec un chion doux, ne

jamais utiliser d’éponges abrasives car la surface pourrait

se rayer.

4.1 Nettoyer le ltre anti-poussière et le

panneau évaporatif

Nettoyer régulièrement le ltre anti-poussière. La fréquence de

nettoyage doit être établie en liaison avec le temps d’utilisation

: si utilisé quotidiennement, il est recommandé de nettoyer le

ltre chaque semaine.

• Extraire le ltre anti-poussière et le support du panneau

évaporatif (g. 17)

• Enlever la poussière des ltres avec un aspirateur (g. 18);

• Laver soigneusement le support du panneau évaporatif

avec de l’eau ; puis le laisser sécher complètement et réins-

érer les ltres dans leur logement (g. 19).

• Pour que les performances de l’appareil restent optimales

on conseille de remplacer le panneau évaporatif (A11) tous

les ans.

4.2 Nettoyer le réservoir d’eau

Remarque :

Éteindre l’appareil et laisser reposer pendant deux minutes pour

permettre à l’excès d’eau de retourner dans le réservoir.

• Extraire le réservoir d’eau (g. 4) ;

• Nettoyer soigneusement avec un détergent hygiénisant,

disponible dans les commerces (g. 20).

4.3 Remplacement de la pile de la

télécommande

• Extraire le support de la pile à l’arrière de la télécommande

(g. 21) ;

• Insérer une pile de type 3V CR2025 dans le support en fai-

sant attention à la polarité correcte (+ et -) et le réinsérer

(g. 22).

Remarques:

• En cas de remplacement ou d’élimination de la télécomma-

nde, retirer et jeter les piles conformément aux en vigueur

car elles nuisent à l’environnement.

• Ne pas jeter les piles au feu car elles pourraient exploser ou

relâcher des liquides dangereux.
