Troubleshooting
Problem A: There is leakage on the pad assembly.
Cause Solution
1. The O-ring on the pad mounting plate was not cleaned properly. Clean and properly lubricate (see Cleanup and Storage, pages 5-6).
2. Residue on the connecting area inside of the head. Clean out any remaining residue inside the head of the DeckJet.
3. The pad is worn or damaged. Replace the pad*.
4. The ow valve in the pad mounting plate is dirty or worn. Clean and properly lubricate (see Lubricating the components, page 6), or replace.
5. Too much material delivered to the pad. Reduce amount of material delivered to the pad by using the trigger less frequently.
Problem B: Plunger is difficult to pull / push.
Cause Solution
1. The plunger O-rings are not lubricated. Lubricate the plunger O-rings (see Lubricating the components, page 6)
Problem C: The main tube will not fill, or there is leakage from the fill valve.
Cause Solution
1. Residue on the ll valve components. a) Insert the ll tube into the ll valve and twist the ll tube several times to break up the
residue.
b) If the problem persists, refer to Cleaning the ll valve, page 6.
2. Duckbill has become dry and stiff. Lubricate the inside of the duckbill valve with petroleum jelly.
Problem D: Material fails to reach the pad.
Cause Solution
1. The mounting plate ow valve is worn or dirty. Clean or replace the valve
