The lightning ash with arrowhead symbol, within

an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user

the service life of this product, please read the following

precautions carefully before use.

repairs to this product, ask the service technician to

perform safety checks to determine that the product is

in proper operating condition.

21) Wall or ceiling mounting - When mounting the product

on a wall or ceiling, be sure to install the product ac-

cording to the method recommended by the manufac-

turer.

22) Power Lines - An outside antenna system should not

be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or

other electric light or power circuits, or where it can

fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing

an outside antenna system, extreme care should be

taken to keep from touching such power lines or cir-

cuits as contact with them might be fatal.

23) Protective Attachment Plug - The product is equipped

with an attachment plug having overload protection.

This is a safety feature. See Instruction Manual for

replacement or resetting of protective device. If re-

placement of the plug is required, be sure the service

technician has used a replacement plug specied by

the manufacturer that has the same overload protec-

tion as the original plug.

24) Stand - Do not place the product on an unstable cart,

stand, tripod or table. Placing the product on an un-

stable base can cause the product to fall, resulting

in serious personal injuries as well as damage to the

product. Use only a cart, stand, tripod, bracket or

table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with

the product. When mounting the product on a wall,

be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Use

only the mounting hardware recommended by the

manufacturer.

●Keep your equipment at least 4” (10 cm) of free space

along the sides, top and back for proper ventilation.

●Use the unit on a rm, level surface free from vibration.

●Place the unit at least 12” (30 cm) away from any CRT

TV to avoid color variations across the TV screen. If

the variations persist, move the unit further away from

the TV. LCD TV is not prone to such variation.

●Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, strong

magnetic elds, excessive dust, humidity and

electronic/electrical equipment (home computers,

facsimiles, etc.) which generate electrical noise.

●Do not expose the unit to moisture, to temperatures

again. Then turn on the unit.

●In case of an electrical storm, unplug the unit for safety.

●

this unit. Using this product with a higher voltage other

than that which is specied is dangerous and may result in

a re or other type of accident causing damage. SHARP

will not be held responsible for any damage resulting from

use of this unit with a voltage other than that which is

specied.

■Volume Control

The sound level at a given volume setting depends on

speaker efciency, location and various other factors. It is

advisable to avoid exposure to high volume levels, which

occurs while turning the unit on with the volume control

setting up high, or while continually listening at high

volumes.

■Before use

●Choose unit installation location carefully. Avoid

placing it in direct sunlight or close to a source of

heat. Also avoid locations subject to vibrations and

excessive dust, cold or moisture. Keep away from

sources that hum, such as transformers or motors.

●Do not open the cabinet as this might result in damage

to the circuitry or electrical shock, if a foreign object

should get into the set, contact your dealer.

●When removing the power plug from the wall outlet,

always pull directly on the plug, never pull the cord.

●Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents

as this might damage the unit. Use a clean, dry cloth.

●In order to shut off the power to this product completely,

unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Be sure to

unplug the unit if you do not intend to use it for an

extended period of time, such as a vacation.

●Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.

This warranty does not apply to any appearance items of the Product nor to the additional excluded item(s) set forth

below nor to any Product the exterior of which has been damaged or defaced, which has been subjected to improper

voltage or other misuse, abnormal service or handling, or which has been altered or modified in design or construction.

In order to enforce the rights under this limited warranty, the purchaser should follow the steps set forth below and

provide proof of purchase to the servicer.

The limited warranty described herein is in addition to whatever implied warranties may be granted to purchasers by law.

applicable warranty period, be free from defects in material and workmanship, and will within the applicable warranty period, either repair the defective

Product or provide the first purchaser a replacement of the defective Product.

Conditions: This limited warranty shall not apply to:

(a) Any cosmetic damage to the Product surface or exterior that has been defaced or caused by normal wear and tear.

(b) Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of damage caused by any external or environmental conditions, including but not limited to,

transmission line/power line voltage or liquid spillage or acts of God.

(c) Warranty claims for Products returned with illegible or without appropriate model, serial number and CSA/cUL markings.

(d) Any Products used for rental or commercial purposes.

(f) Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of abusive operation, negligence, accident, improper installation or inappropriate use as outlined in

the owner’s manual or other applicable Product documentation.

(g) Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of any Product that has been tampered with, modified, adjusted or repaired by any person other than

MIZARI, a Sharp authorized service center or a MIZARI authorized servicing dealer.

(h) Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of the use of the Product with items not specified or approved by MIZARI, including but not limited

to, head cleaning tapes and chemical cleaning agents.

(i) Any replacement of accessories, glassware, consumable or peripheral items required through normal use of the Product, including but not limited to,

earphones, remote controls, AC adapters, batteries, temperature probe, trays, filters, belts, ribbons, cables and paper.

centre) is authorized to extend, enlarge or transfer this warranty on behalf of MIZARI.The purchaser will be responsible for any and all removal,

reinstallation, transportation and insurance costs incurred.

The express warranties in this limited warranty are, except for consumer purchasers domiciled in Quebec, in lieu of and, except to the extent prohibited by

applicable law, MIZARI disclaims all other warranties and conditions, express or implied, whether arising by law, statute, by course of dealing or usage of

non-infringement.

Limitations: (not applicable to consumer purchasers domiciled in Quebec to the extent prohibited under Quebec law): (a) MIZARI shall

not be liable for any incidental, special, consequential, economic, exemplary or indirect damages of any kind or nature (including lost profits or damages for

21. MUTE: Press this to turn off the sound temporarily.

Press it again to turn it on.

Fitting or replacing the remote control battery

Use 1 “AAA” size battery (UM/SUM-4, R3, HP-16 or similar).

1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of

the remote control.

2. Load one AAA/1.SV battery into the battery

compartment making sure that the battery have

been inserted with the correct polarities matching

the symbols +, - as indicated inside the battery

compartment.

3. Replace the battery cover and clip it in place.

Caution:

●Remove the battery if the unit will not be used for a

long period of time. This will prevent potential damage

due to battery leakage.

●Do not use rechargeable battery (nickel-cadmium

battery, etc.).

●Batteries (battery pack or battery installed) shall not

be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re

or the like.

●Risk of re explosion if the battery is replaced by an

incorrect type.

●Installing the battery incorrectly may cause the unit to

malfuction.

Notes concerning use:

●Exposing the sensor on the unit and remote control to

strong light may interfere with operation. Change the

lighting or the direction of the unit if this occurs.

●Keep the remote control away from moisture, heat

shock, and vibrations.

■Preparation for use

Make sure to unplug the AC power cord

before making any connections.

LINE IN

USB

1. Please ensure that the voltage marked on the rating

label on the rear panel is the same as the voltage in

your area. Insert the end of the power lead into the AC

IN socket on the back of the unit. Plug the other end of

the cable into the wall socket.

2. Press the STANDBY button on the main unit to turn it

ON. Extend the ANTENNA to get the best reception.

Press the source button on the unit, or FM button on

the remote control to enter the FM mode. To use the

radio in FM mode, follow the instructions in the FM

RADIO OPERATION chapter.

3. Press the button on the unit, or INPUT button on

the remote control button to enter the CD mode. Press

the button to open the disc drawer and insert a disc.

Press the button again to close. The CD will begin

playing from the rst track.

4. Press the button on the unit or the INPUT button

on the remote control button to enter the LINE IN

(Audio) mode. Connect your audio device to the LINE

IN socket via a 3.5mm aux-in cable. Control playback

via your connected audio device.

5. Press the button on the unit or the INPUT button

on the remote control button to enter Bluetooth mode.

Activate the Bluetooth-enabled device and select the

“CD-BH10 SHARP”. Select the song you want and

press to play.

6. Press the button on the unit or the INPUT button

on the remote control to enter the USB mode. Plug the

USB device into the USB port on the unit’s front panel,

and it will read the USB and play automatically.

■Basic functions

Switching modes

To switch between the modes: CD, FM, Bluetooth, USB

and LINE IN, press the button on the unit or the INPUT

button on the remote control.

Volume control

1. Increase: Rotate the VOLUME control on the main unit

clockwise or press the VOL+ button on the remote.

2. Decrease: Rotate the VOLUME control on the main unit

anticlockwise or press the VOL- button on the remote.

EQ effects

Press the EQ button on the remote repeatedly to cycle

through a set of equalizer presets to adjust the sound.

Choose from CLASSIC, ROCK, POP, JAZZ, DANCE,

LIVE and Off.

Mute function

Press the button at any time to mute the sound output.

Press again to unmute.

Standby mode

Press the STANDBY button on the unit or the remote to

put the system into standby mode. To resume normal

operation, press this button again.

Note: This unit is designed to enter STANDBY mode

automatically, after about 15 minutes (approximately) of

inactivity. Press STANDBY button to wake the unit.

Note: When you power on the unit from standby, it will

resume in the mode that was last used.

■Bluetooth operation

1. Press the button on the unit or the INPUT button

on the remote control to enter the FM mode. (FM

frequency: 87.50-108.00MHz)

2. Press the Tuning or buttons on the remote control

to decrease or increase the frequency in 0.05MHz

increments.

3. Press and hold the buttons on the remote control

to scan through the frequency range quickly. The scan

will stop once it has found a station.

4. Press and hold the button to scan through the

frequency range quickly; it will store any stations

found automatically.

5. SAVE a station: You can store up to 40 FM stations

in memory.

Press the PROG/MEMORY button and enter the

frequency you want to store using the number

buttons.

Press the SAVE button. It will show " P01" on the

display.

Press the button to select the station preset

number under which you want to save the frequency.

Press the PROG/MEMORY button again to conrm.

6. Recall the preset stations: Press the button to

recall your stored stations.

■CD operation

1. Press the INPUT button on the unit, or INPUT

button on the remote control to enter the CD mode.

Press the button to open the disc drawer, put a CD

in, then press the button again to close.

2. Press the button to pause or play the song.

3. Press the button on the remote control to stop

playing, press the button to restart.

4. Press the button to skip to the previous or next

song.

5. Press the button on the remote control to

fast forward or fast rewind the playback, and press

repeatedly to resume normal speed.

6. To select a specic song directly, and press the

number buttons 0-9 on remote control.

Example:

If the track number consists of two digits, for example,

25, press button “2“, and then button “5“ to select the

25th track.

If the track number is a one-digit number, for

example, 9, press “0“ rst, then “9“ to skip to the 9th

track.

7. REPEAT button: While in playing mode, press the

button to set repeat mode.

Press the button to repeat playing songs for CD

and CD-R discs .

Press once to repeat current song. Press again to

repeat all tracks.

Press a third time to cancel.

8. Press the button on the remote control to play the

tracks in random order. Press again to resume.

9. You can set the disc to play tracks in a programmed

order:

Press the button on the remote control to stop

playing.

Press the PROG/MEMORY button on the remote

control.

The screen displays: P01.

Press the number buttons on the remote control to

select the tracks to program.

Press the buttons on the remote control to skip

between the program tracks.

Press the PROG/MEMORY button on the remote

control to conrm.

To begin the programmed order, press the

button.

To cancel the program sequence, press the button

twice.

Pairing and playback

1. Press the button on the unit, or button on the remote

control button repeatedly to enter the Bluetooth

mode, the“bt“ message appears and ashes on the

2. Activate your Bluetooth device and select the search

mode.

3. Select “CD-BH10 SHARP” from the search list and

connect.

4. Enter “0000“ for a password if prompted.

5. When the devices are connected to each other,

a conrmation sound will be made. “bt” will stop

ashing in the display.

6. You can now playback music from your device.

Please note that the volume on the Bluetooth source

device operates independently to the volume of the

unit.

7. To turn off the Bluetooth function: switch to another

function on this unit, disable the function on your

Bluetooth source device, or press the button on the

remote control.

■USB operation

Troubleshooting

It is possible to listen to music via the USB device

interface of the unit.

Connecting a USB device:

1. Switch the unit on and select USB mode by pressing

the button on the unit, or the INPUT button on the

remote control.

2. Connect the USB device to the USB terminal on the

front panel of the unit.

3. The unit will now play songs which are saved on the

USB device.

Notes:

●MP3 format is supported.

●Unsupported le formats are skipped. For example,

Word documents (.doc) or MP3 les with extension .dlf

are ignored and not played

●Even when the les are in a supported format (MP3),

some may not play or display depending on the

compatibility.

●In some case, reading may be as long as 60 seconds,

this is not a malfunction.

●Depending on the amount of data and media speed,

it may take longer for the unit to read the USB device.

●The maximum USB memory size is 32GB.

●USB memory device must be formatted in FAT, FAT16

or FAT32

■Générale

●Gardez votre équipement au moins 4” (10 cm)

d’espace libre sur les côtés, le dessus et l’arrière pour

une bonne ventilation.

●Utilisez l’appareil sur une surface ferme, plane et

exempte de vibrations.

●Placez l’appareil à au moins 12 pouces (30 cm) de tout

téléviseur à tube cathodique pour éviter les variations

de couleur sur l’écran du téléviseur. Si les variations

persistent, éloignez l’appareil du téléviseur. La

télévision LCD n’est pas sujette à de telles variations.

●Gardez l’appareil à l’abri de la lumière directe du

soleil, des champs magnétiques puissants, de la

poussière excessive, de l’humidité et des équipements

électroniques/électriques (ordinateurs personnels,

télécopieurs, etc.) qui génèrent du bruit électrique.

●N’exposez pas l’appareil à l’humidité, à des

températures supérieures à 40˚C (104˚F) ou à des

températures extrêmement basses.

●Si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas correctement,

débranchez-le et rebranchez-le. Allumez ensuite

l’appareil.

●En cas d’orage électrique, débranchez l’appareil pour

plus de sécurité.

●Tenez la che d’alimentation secteur par la tête

lorsque vous la retirez de la prise secteur, car tirer sur

le cordon peut endommager les ls internes.

●Ne placez rien sur le dessus de l’appareil.

●La che d’alimentation CA est utilisée comme dispositif

de déconnexion et doit toujours rester facilement

utilisable.

●Ne retirez pas le couvercle extérieur, car cela

pourrait entraîner un choc électrique. Référez le

service interne à votre centre de service SHARP

local.

●Cet appareil ne doit être utilisé que dans la plage de

0˚C - 40˚C (32˚F - 104˚F).

● Cet équipement est un appareil électrique de

classe II ou à double isolation. Il a été conçu de

manière à ne pas nécessiter de connexion de sécurité

■Contrôle du volume

Le niveau sonore à un réglage de volume donné dépend

de l’efcacité des haut-parleurs, de l’emplacement et de

divers autres facteurs. Il est conseillé d’éviter l’exposition à

des niveaux de volume élevés, ce qui se produit lors de la

mise sous tension de l’appareil avec le réglage du volume

élevé ou lors de l’écoute continue à des volumes élevés.

■Avant utilisation

●Choisissez soigneusement l’emplacement

d’installation de l’unité. Évitez de le placer en plein

soleil ou à proximité d’une source de chaleur. Évitez

également les endroits soumis à des vibrations et

à une poussière excessive, au froid ou à l’humidité.

Éloignez-vous des sources qui bourdonnent, comme

les transformateurs ou les moteurs.

●N’ouvrez pas le boîtier car cela pourrait endommager

les circuits ou provoquer un choc électrique. Si un objet

étranger devait pénétrer dans l’appareil, contactez

votre revendeur.

●Lorsque vous débranchez la che d’alimentation de la

prise murale, tirez toujours directement sur la che, ne

tirez jamais sur le cordon.

●N’essayez pas de nettoyer l’appareil avec des solvants

chimiques car cela pourrait endommager l’appareil.

Utilisez un chiffon propre et sec.

●Pour couper complètement l’alimentation de ce

produit, débranchez le cordon d’alimentation de la

prise murale. Assurez-vous de débrancher l’appareil

si vous n’avez pas l’intention de l’utiliser pendant une

période prolongée, comme des vacances.

●Conservez ce manuel dans un endroit sûr pour

référence future.
