ELECTRICAL hazard
• NeverimmersetheMultiScanner,theUSBconnectioncableandtheUSBmainsadapterinwater,
asthismaycauseanelectricalshock.
• Donottouchthescannerwithwethandsanddonotoperateintheopenorinroomswithahigh
humidity.
• Donotplaceanycontainerslledwithwater,suchasvasesnearthescanner.Thecontainermay
tipoverandliquidmayimpairelectricalsafety.
• TheMultiScannermayonlybeconnectedtoaPCwithaUSBinterfacefromversion1.1onwards.
Intheeventofafault,theoperationwithanUSB1.0interfacemaycauseashortcircuitandre
hazard.
• AlwaysdisconnecttheMultiScannerfromthemains...

WhentheMultiScannerispluggedintothesocketalwayspullontheUSBmainsadapterandnot
ontheUSBconnectioncable.
• PullUSBcableoutoftheUSBsocketofthecomputertodisconnectthedevicefromthePC.
• Theconnectioncablemaynotbekinkedorsquashed.Keepconnectioncableawayfromhot
surfacesandsharpedges.
• DonotoperatethescannerifthereisanyvisibledamagetotheUSBconnectioncableortheUSB
mainsadapter
• Donotmakeanychangestothescanner.DonotreplacetheUSBconnectioncableorUSBmains
adaptoryourself.Repairsonthedeviceshouldonlybecarriedoutbyaspecialistworkshoporby
theServiceCentre.Incorrectrepairscancauseconsiderablehazardsfortheuser.
• DonotoverloadtheUSBconnectionsofyourcomputer.Iftoomanydevicesareconnectedto
thecomputer,suchascordlessmouse,mediaplayer,mobilephonesorotherUSB-operated
devices,theremaynotbesucientpoweravailabletooperatetheMultiScanner.
