SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1) Read this manual carefully.
Learn the machine’s limitations
and applications as well as the
specific hazards that can pertain
to it.
2) Keep guards in place and in
working order.
3) Keep the work area clean from
clutter and keep it well lit.
4) Do not use this tool in a damp,
wet or rainy environment.

5) Do not force the tool to do
something it was not designed to
do. It will perform better and safely
if used in the way it was designed.
6) Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry that could get caught in
moving parts. Keep long hair
pulled back.
7) Use safety glasses and wear
ear protection.
8) Keep the tool in proper working
order for the best and most safe
performance.
9) Always disconnect the tool
before performing maintenance or
changing accessories. Make sure
the tool is OFF before plugging
the tool back in to avoid accidental
starting.
10) Check for damage before
using the tool. If it is damaged in
any way, do not use it until
properly repaired.
11) Do not operate this tool while
under the influence of alcohol,
drugs or medication.

12) Do not modify or use the tool
for any purpose other than it was

securely fastened.
14) The clearance between the
support and the grinding stone
should never be more than
1.5mm.
Mounting the Grinder
The grinder can be secured to a
bench with screws. The length of
the screws depends on the
thickness of the bench. If a steel
bench is used, it is best to mount
the grinder on a board attached
to the bench to minimize
vibrations. Install the supports
and guards after the machine
has been secured to the bench.
Grinding
Always grind at the front side of
the grinding stone.
Never mount a cracked stone.
Replace a cracked stone
immediately.
Do not use the stone for heavy
duty grinding.
Use the entire stone face. Do not
grind grooves into the stone.
Use a soft stone for hard metals
and a hard stone for soft metals.
Regularly cool the objects to be
grinded with water.
Use caution when grinding and
make sure the object to be
grinded is firmly held in your
hands.
Support
The support should always be
adjusted when the grinding stone
is at a standstill. Secure the
support as close as possible with
a maximum clearance of 1.5mm
between the support and
grinding stone. Use a 14mm
spanner.
Changing the Stone
Disconnect the grinder from the
power outlet. Remove the stone.
Take a 14mm spanner and
loosen the nut. Remove the old
stone. Clean the clamping discs.
Remount one disc on the shaft
with the concave side towards
the grinding stone. Slide the new
stone along the shaft. Mount the
second clamping disc on the
shaft with the concave side
facing the grinding stone.
Tighten the nut on the shaft.
Remount the guard and adjust
the support. (SEE IMAGE 1)
