3. With the help of another person, position the front guard against the rear guard and press the clips so
that it holds both grills together and the screw is at the bottom. Secure by tightening screw and nut.
CLEANING
FIRST UNPLUG THE CORD FROM THE SOCKET
The fan can be wiped with a damp cloth now and then. Never use abrasive or aggressive detergents, thus
no scouring powder and no scouring sponges either.
NEVER IMMERSE THE FAN IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID.
PRINCESS TIPS
- This fan is intended for normal household use only.
- Make sure the cord or extension cord is carefully positioned to avoid people tripping over it.
- If the fan or cord is damaged, we advise you not to use the appliance and to take it to the shop for
repair. Damaged cords may only be replaced by the service department.
- Not to be used outdoors.
- Make sure that the fan is out of the reach of children.
- Place the fan on a solid table or other stable surface. Do not place the fan in or nearby an open window.
Make sure that there are no objects near the fan which could be knocked over or be in the way when
automatic swivelling is switched on.
- Do not use the fan in damp rooms such as bathrooms and do not place it near a sink or other receptacle
full of water.
- Make sure that curtains and other fabrics cannot be sucked into the fan.
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE = neutral, BROWN = LIVE, GREEN-YELLOW = EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour mar-
kings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or
coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L
or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN-YELLOW must be connected to the earth terminal which is marked
with the letter E or or coloured green and yellow.
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 13 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other type of plug is
used a 15 amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.
